What a fun experience while visiting NOLA. Their menu had a great selection of food, dessert and drinks (though the blood bags are what everyone goes for!) note that the blood bags are incredibly popular and there are occasions where they will sell out completely. I visited with three others and we shared several apps, tried the regular blood bags and the nonalcoholic version. Everything was good, the atmosphere dark and cozy, and the staff friendly. Prices are a bit high but you're in a touristy area so you're paying for that.

When in NOLA, do something spooky. With a day full of voodoo museums and cemetery tours, we decided to start our day at the Vampire Cafe for some breakfast. The space has a great vibe and we enjoyed the atmosphere while we waited for some friends. We started with a blood bag cocktail which was fun! They also had a good wine selection. The lunch and dinner menu looked great, but we were here early so we were limited to breakfast. I decided on the shrimp and grits. The shrimp and gravy were great, but I found the grits to be bland. Service was great, I would return here for lunch or dinner for sure!

Is there a better way to follow up a night time ghost and vampire tour and dinner at the Vampire Cafe? I think not! We have been to this place before I'm previous visits, and wanted to bring our son who came with us on this trip. The building is, like all the others in the French quarter, an old brick building. There's exposed brick and lots of iron work and sparkly chandeliers. I love that in the window the bottles of wine have vampire capes. You have to pay attention to this small details - the red napkins are folded in the shape of the heart with the silverware making a cross. We have been told that the owner of this restaurant says she is a vampire who is over 200 years old. The drinks are all mean for blood types, so you order an A-, B+, O-, etc. there are some blood back drinks, one of which is the red fang-ria, which I ordered. Hubby and son ordered the shrimp and grits with andouille sausage, and I got the alligator po' boy sandwich with housemade chips. Everything was yummy, especially my alligator! Is a great place to go if you're a vampire lover, or at least a vampire story lover. You get vampire bite tattoos for your neck when you leave--if you love that, then this is your place!

Our server was so much fun. He kept those mimosas coming. I had the vampire breakfast burger and it was soo good. The entire cafe is adorable and a great spot for some photos. We were seated quickly and the food was all delicious and made quickly. My only complaint was the absinthe in a can to go. That was the worst thing I have ever tasted lol we left them on the table and barely took a sip.

This is our second time enjoying this vampiric cafe for breakfast. Definitely not our last. While their breakfast menu is a bit limited it is delicious. Food is fresh and I don't know what they season their country potatoes with but they are the best. I normally dislike country potatoes (I'm a hash brown guy) but the Vampire Cafe's potatoes kick some serious butt. Next time we'll try lunch or dinner. Service is top notch. Everyone from the host to those waiting on you stay in character from the time you're greeted at the door. Also make sure you go to their speakeasy Potions. It's located atop Fritzel's but you do need a card and password to get in. Excellent ambience and drinks await.

The staff is very friendly. We stopped for the charcuterie board which came recommended from a local. It was good, nothing crazy fancy. I wish they had a soft cheese like Brie because both cheeses that were served were hard. You really can't spend those on a cracker. My daughter and I split a huger. It came out medium rare and I asked for medium but was good. They sell "blood bags" of drinks to go, too. J

2 egg breakfast - biscuits and sausage were excellent too!

Amazing eggs!! Biscuit , garlic hash browns, sausage n bacon all Great. Wife did bottomless mimosa which were very good. Good prices, excellent service! Surprisingly warmish inside on a brisk New Orleans day. It's in our nrotation.

We stopped in on a Friday at 3 and it was packed so we were hopeful. We were sat pretty quickly and a waitress took our drink orders, I got the peach Bellini and my husband got an adios. Both drinks were great. I got the pan seared salmon with mashed potatoes and Brussel sprouts, my husband got the alligator poboy sandwich. I loved my meal (except the sprouts but that's completely a me thing) and my husband enjoyed his sandwich but noted that the chips were a little burnt but otherwise great. Over all the aesthetics were on point and the staff was very friendly.

Such a cute spot! The staff are so kind and the drinks are so much fun. We didn't get food but their menu looks amazing.

We're from Southern California, came out here for a comedy festival; Skankfest. For Saturday we had time on our hands in the morning before the festival. The name of the restaurant of course caught our eye so gave it a try. Friend wasn't really hungry but convinced him to buy a drink. I was hungry so got the French toast. Eat a lot of French toast when eating out for breakfast and brunch at restaurants and it was good. Nothing amazing but it did its job. That's as far as the food goes. But you come here more so for the ambience. Honestly , thought the atmosphere or ambience of the restaurant would be more impactful. More so, it feels as though not too much was put into it, but it was still cool. Could be that our server was great. Forgot her name but she was attentive and we enjoyed her insight into gothic stuff as well as New Orleans and the restaurant. While we were just passing through and kind of making it quick, our server made the experience more enjoyable. Menu for the food is limited, but it's a decent theme restaurant. But only if you are looking for a simple meal. Would say if you want a fuller experience , probably somewhere else. But if you want something a little themed and something simple, this a good spot to give a try.

    Sarah O.

The experience is great, the ambience is perfect, the drinks are fun, and the food is delicious. Don't be scared to try the alligator! Easily one of my favorite meals since being in NOLA, doesn't help that I am also a big vampire fanatic. But even if you just need a good meal and tasty drinks please stop by the vampire cafe ! Not to mention the staff is so sweet and they give out free temporary tattoos and even a little surprise if you're lucky ;)

O- Blackberry Mojito at Vampire Cafe Nola
    Curtis Y.

The baked brie was very good. The alligator poboy was awesome. A bit chewy, like a skirt steak, but the flavor..Wow! The blackberry mojito was nice and tart.. not syrupy sweet like some others. After tip the bill for ONE person was just shy of $80.00. Expensive.. but it's Nola. The service was top notch.

    Lori S.

Didn't have to make a reservation but the service was just...ok waitress forgot to place my order for my drink and took a while to get us our cutlery after getting our food I had the tomato salad that was good and i will recommend the salmon as well . Fun place to go for the "blood bags" but it's a pre-made drink and it tastes kind of plastic-y

The presentation of the food came was amazing. We ordered the linguine and added meatballs, which was well worth it. We also ordered the shrimp & grits, which included Brussels sprouts. Boy, it was sure nice to get some vegetables in my stomach after eating all that yummy fried food during our stay! All in all, both dishes were delicious. It is a little on the pricey side, but after several days of eating in the touristy area of the French Quarter, this was truly a welcome change. Service was polite and attentive. I always appreciate the staff's efforts by making simply making eye contact and smiling (which they did). Seems trivial but I think those small things says a lot about a business. I would recommend this restaurant even if you are not a guest of the hotel.

The ambiance is amazing, plus velvet, emerald and sapphire tone, glitzy, and feels like a good photo op. The bar and cocktail menu looked expansive. However, I was going to be hopping on a meeting, so I could not partake, unfortunately. A group got this impressive tower of espresso martini and everyone seemed to be enjoying their drinks! I wanted that New Orleans seafood but had late lunch, so I opted for just the crispy gulf shrimp on cheesy grits. I really wished I can hungrier because the dish ended up being very heavy. The shrimp were nice and crispy. The charred Brussels sprouts gave me the false sense that this was a healthy dish because I was getting my veggie intake. The bacon jam was sweet and went well with the Brussels sprouts. I loved the combination of the cheesy grits and the Crystal hot sauce. It was the perfect amount of both and some how led me to understand why Americans put hot sauce on their Mac n cheese and some other cheesy dishes after 30 years of not really understanding the attraction to that combo. I got the marinated olives to go so I could have a little snack later. They were just stuff I feel I could get in a jar... not really sure if I could justify the price. I think this is a fine place if you're looking for a photogenic night out drinking with a group of friends. Could be really cute for brunch!

We weren't super hungry so we split a bunch of lighter bites and grabbed a handful of cocktails as well. Our favorites of the night were the crab tartlettes and the savory calas with snapper pastrami. The tuno crudo had fresh fish but it felt a bit overwhelmed by the other flavors, which were kind of one-note and heavy. The bread that came with it was overtoasted, but the foie gras parfait was excellent. We ended the night with the grapefruit sesame panna cotta. The flavors were surprising but they worked really well together. Would definitely come back for cocktails and light bites the next time we're in the city!
