The Napoleon House is well worth a visit when in New Orleans. This establishment has been operating since 1914 and are not serving righteous Italian Muffuletta sandwiches, Gumbo, and Red Beans and Rice and of course their famous and fabulous Pimm's Cup cocktails. We dined here twice during our last visit and lady luck was on our side as there was no line and we were seated immediately. Of course we started with a Pimm's cup. There are three options, but we stuck with their original. Want to sample all three then order their flight of Pimm's. The muffuletta is served warm and can be ordered whole, half, or quarter. This is a classic sandwich stuffed with all your favorite cold cuts, provolone cheese, and of course their homemade Italian olive salad. Do not sleep on their hot pastrami sandwich served with creole mustard. Of course, their gumbo and red beans and rice is to die for. Napoleon never dined here but if he did, he would have left a happy man as did we.

After a good long walk, we had a drink and snacking at NH. Seated at the bar, an order for a sazerac w absinthe ($13), an old fashioned ($12) and a ginger ale ($5) to cool us down. Then the snacks were ordered: the charcuterie board was loaded with yummy metal and savory cheeses ($14), the warm spinach and artichoke dip had pita slices inside a bread bowl ($13) and a side of red beans ($4). We wolfed the dip and charcuterie board down like wolves. Noah made sure we were taken care of atvthe bar.

Visited Napoleon house for lunch. Upon arrival, we were immediately seated. Our waiter gave us menus and water. He asked me three times if I wanted a drink, but I just wanted water. I was trying to stay hydrated while on vacation. I wanted to sample multiple items from the menu. I requested sausage, some rice and beans, and half of a mufaleta sandwich. My wife requested a chicken sandwich and potato salad. I hesitated as I was ordering and the server walked away while I was ordering. When he returned, he was surprised to learn that I wanted to order more food. Then he told another worker that I put my appetizer in late, so all the food came out at once. That was fine with me, but the tables were small, so not a lot of room. The sausage was tasty, but didn't hold itself together well. The red beans and rice were very tasty. I'd get those again. My first mufaleta sandwich was very tasty. Half of a sandwich is a big serving. I really enjoyed it and it makes me want to try more of them. My wife really liked her chicken sammich and potato salad. Overall, very good meal and friendly service. Good stuff!

Low-key affordable spot in the heart of the French Quarter. Staff all wearing masks and taking covid precautions as well as checking vaccination status at the door.

Sat outside by the little fountain and it was a nice setting. The waitress was very nice and friendly. The muffuletta was warm and very tasty. This feels like a must-do for any New Orleans trip.

Ambiance 10 out of 10. Pimm's flight - wow, what a neat concept (and 10 out of 10). The charcuterie board and the half muffuletta knocked it out of the park. Now, we've eaten at the restaurant across the street probably twenty times, and while we always liked it, it seems like we would find ourselves looking across the street & wondering why we'd not made it to the Napoleon House. Today, we made it. And on a very HOT morning. Our hostess was lovely, the food hit all the right notes, and service was efficient. Something I really liked was the pastrami on the muffuletta. The bread was different from my expectations. Also it looks like a traditional muffuletta loaf, it is softer inside, and the crust avoided having that razor-sharp crustiness. The only downside was my iced Irish coffee. I got no hint of booze, and the coffee tasted like it was yesterday's leftovers from the bottom of the pot.

Food: A charming hub for drinks and their famed muffuletta. We shared the gigantic italian muffuletta sandwich among three of us with an order of jambalaya. The muffaletta had delightfully fluffy, hamburger like bun with melty cheese and stacked variety of meats including ham, salami, and pastrami. The jambalaya was well spiced and packed full of Creole goodness. A great benchmark of how the rish dish should eat. I also got the original Pimm's cup to drink which was strong and delicious. Ambiance: Love the traditional atmosphere of the brick establishment. Lit up by the faint glow of gas lamps, adorned with small pictures and portraits, and complete with a palm-covered courtyard, it was a rich historical journey back to old New Orleans. Service: Our waitress was super friendly and made sure to accomodate any request we had.

Beautiful bar and friendly tender. Delicious food and drink.

The initially daunting line moves fast! Hostess and bartender were both lovely and convivial. Bellied up to the bar, took a break from the sauce, and enjoyed a virgin Pimm's Cup and muffuletta salad.

I heard about this online, and I was hoping for something amazing. I LOVE muffuletta's, so I was very excited to come try this one. However, it disappointed. I've had much better and much cheaper ones elsewhere. Also the staff were not very welcoming (they were very busy), but I think we saw our waiter maybe 3 times the whole meal (take our drink order, food order, and check). The bathrooms were super cramped, and not at all accessible if that matters to you Reuben Sandwich Pastrami, Swiss cheese, sauerkraut, our Thousand Island dressing, on housemade marble rye - very very dry Our Specialty Italian Muffuletta Ham, Genoa Salami, Pastrami, Swiss and Provolone Cheese, Housemade Italian Olive Salad, served warm on our bakery's fresh seeded Italian Loaf - if you want a muffuletta, you get one. But it was very average. Dry and the bread was tough

The worst dayyy and time to visit NOLA. in the hot hot summer. and trying to explore and eat in this heat. NONSENSE. Our friend heard from a local that this was a good place to eat so we trekked on over. Luckily we didn't have to wait long but even so, a sign caught our eye! frozen pimms cup!?!? amazing, yes we'll take 3! Refreshing in this nasty heat. You can get it non alcoholic too! We got seated and I ordered the avocado shrimp salad dish and the muffuletta! I was skeptical of the muffuletta, because I've had it once and it was a little too heavy/oily. But never had it in NOLA, the origin! IT WAS TASTY! It was light, not heavy and a great sandwich to share with my friend. The salad was GREEN, which was what I needed. lol the shrimp was tasty too. haha The host outside and inside were very friendly and welcoming. The server though was not so much. LOL but overall a good lunch spot if in the area!

Omg! I have had muffalettas before in New Orleans but a WARM one, delightful! Crispy sesame bread, meats with melted cheese and their house olive spread. Wow. My server was so sweet, we spoke for a while and he told me his story of why he moved to New Orleans which I loved Its a very old building with alot of charm! And I wouldn't have it any other way. A 200 year old landmark.

Had to wait outside in line but it went quick!

Located right in the French Quarter district, I was so pleased with this experience. Absolutely delicious muffaletta, and the potato salad was incredible. The original pimm was amazing. I sat at the bar and the bartender was fascinating to watch. He did not miss a beat, and that man works for every single penny he earns! The service was great, the ambience was great, cannot wait to go back.

My wife and I are in Nola for our anniversary and heard this place had a really tasty warm muffuletta so we decided to give it a try. We got the charcuterie board and half a muffuletta and both were very delicious. Loved the mix on the board, the tomato jam...yum! It's worth it to give this place a visit and try it out but be aware that the line can get pretty long(for good reason)!

Is there a kids' menu?

I don't think so, but you can get 1/4 and 1/2 sandwiches.

We planned to have dinner here and was seated in a casual area with lower tables. While nice to sit for a casual drink was not up to par for parties who planned to dine in. Our first server we asked to move had declined our request. Stating there wasn't any room to accommodate. Which to be fair is fair when it's a Saturday night. However, we had made reservations and was astonished this wasn't an accommodation for a party they knew was coming in ahead of time. Thankfully, my friend went up to the host to request a table change, and was eventually accommodated with a booth. Booth can sit 6 people comfortably and 7 was a tad squish so they immediately offered an ottoman for someone to sit in the end. Food was delicious, most of us ordered the steak and frites.

(they have a sister business bar, but the internet told me they didn't open until 3 or after and the show I was attending was at 2:30...so The Apothecary it was!) It was super busy, I think there may have been a special or private brunch event. But bar seating was open. If you like absinthe, this is a place to try. They have a lot of cocktails based on that spirit. I saw other ones though, one with lavendar and one with gin and peaflower (I am a sucker for a color changing drank). I ended up going for the gin and peaflower one. And it tasted good but, it did have "spritz" in it's name and I expected it to be a bit lighter on the tongue and perhaps with a fizz. It will pack a punch, it is a sipper of a drink...it is almost all booze and has a thicker mouthfeel, if you will. The flavor is great, but I guess I just expected something a little different with the name of the drink. They do have food, but we had just had a brunch and didn't need much. But there was truffle popcorn that I opted to get as a snack in between boozy sips of my pretty purple cocktail. I enjoyed my visit here and would certainly recommend it if this is your vibe.
