Went for Sunday brunch and the meal was excellent. The have bottomless mimosas which were fabulous and our waitress Aesha was very attentive refilling our champagne constantly and even sending some to go. The food was great, my Cobb salad was extra fancy with blackened shrimp and deviled eggs!

This was the first restaurant stop for our Bachelorette weekend and it was an absolutely good choice! We walked into the bar area, so we were surprised by how big the space was. Lots of room but still cozy enough to be intimate. The restaurant was pretty busy for a slower weekend in NOLA. We were seated and perused the menu. There were so many delicious options...from the appetizers to mains to dessert...it was hard to choose just one! I began the meal with the Hurricane Huey and the Fried Green Tomatoes & Shrimp Remoulade; fried green tomatoes and/or deviled eggs are a must-eat wherever I go, so I knew this was happening! I reluctantly offered to share them with my friends. Only one person took me up on it; I think most of my friends knew I was planning to inhale them alone... And for good reason because the fried green tomatoes were amazing! Full, but unwilling to give up, I ordered the Pepper Jelly Glazed Pork Chop. It was cooked to perfection and the twice baked potato was worth risking the dairy allergy. 11/10 would do it again. The bartenders know how to make a memorable drink. Our server did a phenomenal job keeping up with our orders and making sure we were pleased with our experience, so much so that if I ever find myself back in NOLA, I'll swing by again!

On a cold night in NOLA we walked into this warm spot. It was warm in temperature as well hospitality. Our server was especially friendly and welcoming. The classic cocktail Vieux Carré wasn't on the menu but our waiter assured me they knew how to make it. Indeed they did. Food is a modern Creole. My wife wasn't hungry so she got a delicious beet salad. I went with the shrimp and grits. I enjoyed it a lot. We celebrated our anniversary here and the Bourbon sauce Pecan pie was a great celebration.

We came as walk-in's for lunch while we were waiting for our hotel check-in time. I usually like to be prepared and have an idea of where we're eating ahead of time, but absolutely no regrets about finding this spot! We ordered the fried catfish and also the crabcake Benedict and they definitely set the BAR for expectations on food for my first time in New Orleans! I typically forget the names of places we eat at on vacation, but I had to look this place up on my bank statement to make sure that I could say that our server, Melissa, was FANTASTIC. Honestly if there were more servers like her out there, it would make even "meh" restaurants just so much better to experience. Thanks for being the first friendly face we got to see here!

Loved this place. Best meal we've had since we were here. Leon made amazing suggestions and they did not disappoint. We had the redfish and shrimp etoufee, and finished with the white chocolate bread pudding with blueberry compote. The music, food, and ambiance were just right! We will be back again.

What a great place. Christian the bartender and his counter part were great. Nice customer service. Great craft cocktails... especially the Pimm's cup. The food is great. The restaurant had a nice vibe. The manager was very funny. Love this place!

Best place I've eaten anywhere! I sat at the bar but there was plenty of seating at tables as well. I had a blackberry bramble, the gumbo and the crab cakes; coming here was the best experience I've had in New Orleans. The servers, the food, the experience - everything was incredible. I've tried over 20 restaurants since I've been here and this is my favorite thus far. I'm going back because the food and drinks were great and I haven't found anywhere else locally that comes close. I can't wait to go back today to try more of their options. I can't recommend this place enough!!

Born and raised NOLA native, Kyle gave us excellent service.

Wow! We're visiting from Los Angeles for New Year's Eve, and after a long day of walking around the French Quarter, we arrived thirsty and exhausted. Kyle saved the day! He greeted us at the bar with a huge smile, menus, and impeccable service. We were especially impressed when a guest nearby left his cellphone; despite the holiday rush, Kyle didn't hesitate to run out after him to return it. He stayed organized and personable the entire night, and the grilled cheese and apple chicken salad absolutely hit the spot. Truly top-notch service!

    Jambalaya Risotto & Eggs

Mannn most French Quarter restaurants are a hit or miss, but Kingfish? Omg. My friend and I actually ended up walking in just as they were opening on a Sunday for brunch. We decided to sit at the bar to get a little food in our system before hitting the second line, and let me tell you, sitting at the bar was the best decision. Ms. Asia did her big one! She was so sweet and funny, kept the conversation flowing, and most importantly...kept the drinks bottomless (because let's be real, that's the whole point of brunch lol). I'm pretty sure they were tired of us by the time we left. The rest of the staff were hilarious and super friendly too, it felt like hanging out with family you actually like. I ordered the jambalaya risotto. I'm not gonna lie, it looked a little suspect when it came out, but mannnn, the flavor was crazy. So good, I started telling people to pull up before I even left the restaurant. We got there when it was still quiet, but by the time we left, I couldn't tell if the crowd showed up or if we were the noise (probably both). Prices were also super reasonable, especially for the quality and service. Long story short, Kingfish is officially in my rotation. If you're looking for good food, strong drinks, and even better people, this is it.

    Café Rum-Tini
    Ally R.

Service was wonderful from host and servers. We enjoyed Sazerac, Pimm's Cup (made with ginger beer and crushed ice- my personal favorite so far in NOLA) and Cafe rum-tini's. All of the cocktails were curated excellently and had their own unique twist to the common recipes. The atmosphere was lovely - nice for group and family dinner. The highlight was the big brûlée cheesecake- it comes with a raspberry and white chocolate sauce but the cake on its own is absolutely perfect!

    Bouillabaisse
    Jessica W.

Just had a great dinner at Kingfish! I went specifically because they had bouillabaisse on their menu and it did not disappoint. I absolutely loved it, I seriously considered ordering another serving! I didn't get any appetizers, but they did have some good-looking eats on their happy hour menu. Happy hour had a good selection of wine, cocktails, and beer as well. The bramble was one of the most delicious drinks I've had in NOLA. Samantha took care of me tonight and she was excellent!!

Went for bottomless, ended up having some pretty good food. Inside is nice, very much old school quarter dark wood restaurant. Got the bottomless mimosas, with blood orange juice. The waitress was on point and fast with the refills. Exactly what you want for bottomless. For food we ordered a candied pecan cinnamon roll to split as an app. They said it would take 10 minutes which was fine. It ended up not coming out until well after we were done with our mains, but they apologized and comped it so no harm no foul and it was delicious. The kingfish n grits was a so good. Crunchy flavorful catfish with a hearty, cheesy grits, and that cream sauce complimented it so well.

On Christmas Day, will there be regular menu items other than the Reveillon menu?

Usually Reveillion menu is only dinner not lunch. Being Christmas Day that might change so I would suggest calling the restaurant.

I made a reservation for Christmas. I am bringing my family as well as a 1 year old and 4 year old. Is the restaurant child friendly? Also, is there a dress code?

Boy, it was sure nice to get some vegetables in my stomach after eating all that yummy fried food during our stay! All in all, both dishes were delicious. It is a little on the pricey side, but after several days of eating in the touristy area of the French Quarter, this was truly a welcome change. Service was polite and attentive. The ambiance is amazing, plus velvet, emerald and sapphire tone, glitzy, and feels like a good photo op. The bar and cocktail menu looked expansive. However, I was going to be hopping on a meeting, so I could not partake, unfortunately. A group got this impressive tower of espresso martini and everyone seemed to be enjoying their drinks! I wanted that New Orleans seafood but had late lunch, so I opted for just the crispy gulf shrimp on cheesy grits. I really wished I can hungrier because the dish ended up being very heavy. The shrimp were nice and crispy. The charred Brussels sprouts gave me the false sense that this was a healthy dish because I was getting my veggie intake. The bacon jam was sweet and went well with the Brussels sprouts. I loved the combination of the cheesy grits and the Crystal hot sauce. It was the perfect amount of both and some how led me to understand why Americans put hot sauce on their Mac n cheese and some other cheesy dishes after 30 years of not really understanding the attraction to that combo. I got the marinated olives to go so I could have a little snack later. They were just stuff I feel I could get in a jar... not really sure if I could justify the price. I think this is a fine place if you're looking for a photogenic night out drinking with a group of friends. Could be really cute for brunch!

The Apothecary was the cure. We grabbed seats mid bar and before we even finished settling in, there were waters waiting on the bar. That simple move already separated this place from the chaos outside. It's hospitality in its cleanest form: welcome in, take a breath, we got you. Inside is low light and old time apothecary mood, menus like a spellbook, but it's not gimmicky. The bartenders move like they've done the reps. Calm. Precise. No frantic showboating, no syrupy cover ups, no sloppy pours even with the parade energy banging on the door. We ordered two and they were both dead on. Alchemist Elixir: pea flower gin, elderflower liqueur, fresh lemon. It shows up pale violet with an orchid on the rim and yes it's pretty, but it's also disciplined. Floral without tasting like perfume. Bright without being sour. A drink that makes you slow down. Plus a magic chemists surprise. Corpse Reviver #2: local gin, Lillet Blanc, Grand Marnier, absinthe, fresh lemon. Cold, crisp, citrus first, then the herbal edge and just enough absinthe to remind you what city you're in. Served in a textured coupe with a cherry skewer, details handled like they actually matter. Outside, the streets were selling amnesia in plastic souvenir cups. Inside, The Apothecary was serving adults. Let Bourbon Street keep the grenades. Give me the anecdote .

The ambiance was absolutely stunning. We arrived at night, and even in the dim lighting, the charm of the space--from the books lining the walls to the velvet chairs and lush animal-print accents--created the perfect Saturday night vibe. It was also quieter than a typical bar, which made it feel refined and intimate; you can actually enjoy a real conversation while soaking in the beauty of the space. The drink menu is short but tasteful, with a wide range of profiles. With an exceptionally skilled bartender (sad I did not catch his name), every cocktail was perfectly balanced and beautifully executed. He was also happy to craft off-menu drinks by request. The host was also warm, funny, and attentive. We didn't get to try the food this time, but we're already looking forward to it on our next visit!

The entrance is nice with an overhead and plants lining the walk down into the lounge. Once you're in you're greeted by a hostess, who was actually a bit snarky and rude when seating us for our reservation (also said by another guest we spoke to). The actual space itself is moody, dimly lit with red accents throughout. It has a polished feel and the environment is incredibly intimate. Our waitress was very nice and made ordering with a party of 10 seamless. For our order we got a banana Negroni and a glass of white wine. The wine was great, crisp and sweet. The Negroni was strong and bold with the banana peeking through the drink with flavor. They also offer a few bites off their menu but we opted not to grab one there. The whole experience was fun and everyone liked their drinks. It's a great place to relax and get some drinks but the experience with the hostess was a bit off-putting. A great option if you're looking for a quiet, more refined cocktail lounge to enjoy a drink in NOLA.
