This was our first Le Petit Chef experience. Wow! What a great show. There were a few items on the menu that were delicious and a few that were not for me. But the animation on the table was really fun. They do a great job at making it fun. It was really a unique experience that I'm so grateful we tried. Nothing like the Monteleone.

Amazing dessert and after dinner cocktails!!

We had Merry as our server and she provided us background on the chefs and staff that work there. She explained they all go there to train to be great chefs and they work really hard during their time period of working there. Merry recognized it was our wedding anniversary and provided top notch service. She even offered to take a picture. We are horrible at taking pictures of one another in our family. They truly made a special evening for us. Thank you!!!

We came here for Thanksgiving thinking we would have the Thanksgiving meal but that was only offered for breakfast and lunch. We were a bit disappointed to learn that but very pleasantly surprised with the food. Everything was delicious! The service and the ambiance was great also. We tried to get a spot at the bar but it was so busy! Definitely would try to come back.

Top-of-the-line service in the heart of the French Quarter, we were pleasantly surprised with the tasty brunch options offered in the charming and elegant Hotel Montelone. The live jazz music and gold accents of Criollo reminded me of a European jazz cafe, instantly transporting me to a different country, at least for a few hours. The beignets were warm and pillowy, pairing up perfectly with the hot sweet praline sauce and fresh strawberries. That was certainly my favorite dish but I also quite enjoyed the tender and juicy steak, well-seasoned hash browns and fluffy eggs. A special shoutout also goes out to the chimichurri sauce with its aromatic yet simple flavors. The chicken biscuit sandwich was also delicious but the so-called "jalapeño cheddar" flavor was not highlighted enough, leaving the sandwich tasty but a bit underwhelming. Coffee service at Criollo was also amazing and the wait staff is extremely attentive at re-filling coffee cups, serving up water, and switching out the silverware between meals. That said, I do wish they would have asked us if we were done eating before switching out the dishes as there were times I wanted to scrape the plate clean before watching the dishes be taken away. That said, I would definitely come back to this spot for the ambiance, the beignets, and the experience of dining in such a historical setting. 7/10 recommend!

Shrimp and crab mornay omelette. It was perfect!

Best breakfast of our trip! Hubby had a gorgeous fresh fruit plate with yogurt and banana bread. I had the shrimp and crab mornay omelette. The shrimp were cooked perfectly! Kiddo had beignets with a yummy praline sauce. I thought the beignets were better than the ones from The "famous" places. Service was friendly and fitting of a 4-star. Our waiter wiped the crumbs and served/cleared from the correct sides ;). Don't miss out on the breakfast.

Good food, and service was fine, but not the most accommodating restaurant. Wasnt very busy but still took some time to get our drinks. Moreover, one of our guests asked for the delicious truffle fries (I know, I know). They told us they make them in the kitchen, but can only be ordered at the bar. Rather than the server saying to himself, "I'll make an even more sizable tip if I just go and get it from the bar for them", it caused one of our guests to go and wait at the bar for them. Again, good food (nothing spectacular as you can see in the images - oh, and avoid that brutal Mardi Gras cake they promote). Decent meal, but not really worth the money. ($1,200 for a table of 6.)

My FIL recommended this spot as a better place to get beignets in the city than Cafe Dumont. Now don't get me wrong, Cafe Dumont has spectacular beignets but the ones here are just better. They're more like an adult toaster strudel very flaky and not piled high with powdered sugar. We were seated within minutes of walking in and service was spectacular. The vibes of the restaurant were also nice. This hotel is a great spot for tourist in town for a conference. We will be back.

Best Beignets!!! We went to Cafe Beignet super tasty and Cafe Du Monde which were okay, so trust me when I say Criollo has the Best Beignets!!! They were so light and flakey. The praline sauce was the perfect companion! Overall the restaurant was quaint with top notch service!

I didn't like how I asked for cranberry juice and they waited for the last moment to bring me my drink. The food was okay, but they didn't have a lot on the menu. No freshly squeezed orange juice For lunch I rather go to another place then wait for my food so long.

We stayed at Hotel Monteleone, so it was a no brainer to eat in the hotel for at least one dinner. The ambiance was elegant and service was abundant. We opted for the multi course option of the menu and it did not disappoint.

We went on Super Bowl Sunday the place was empty for most of our dinner. It made us feel like we were getting a chef experience. The staff were amazing and the food even better. I had the Buratta salad, and Moscone Duck Breast it was so good. We also had the Shrimp, Crab avocado stack, Niman Ranch Pork Cheeks, Pei Mussels, and Black Angus Tenderloin and everything was amazing.

The breakfast was over $20 and nothing was good. The hashbrowns was overly seasoned, bacon had no taste, biscuit was hard & no taste & eggs was the worst cardboard I've ever tasted

As a first meal in NOLA, this was a great start to the trip and to start the festivities of a wedding. This restaurant is beautiful inside and is right next to the Carousel bar & lounge. The staff were great and explained every dish for us as they came out. All the starters caught our eye but we decided to start with the lobster Mac and cheese ($28), buttermilk fried chicken livers ($19), the duck gumbo ($18), and burrata ($17) for us to share. The duck gumbo was our favorite as the duck itself was cooked well with a crunch from the outside, perfect to dip in the gumbo. We also enjoyed the lobster Mac and cheese and the fried chicken livers. There was plenty of lobster to share and the livers had a delicious sauce to dip them in. For our entrees, we shared the criollo salad ($15) and Muscovy duck breast ($40). The salad had a beautiful mix of the fruits and lettuce. The duck was very soft and came with a duck spring roll to give a little crunch. For dessert, we were tried the butterscotch bread pudding ($14) and La bombe ($18). Both were very delicious but the butterscotch bread pudding couldn't be beat. The butterscotch flavor was a perfect mix with the gelato on top. The bread pudding was warm and soft. The La Bombe also had a good mix with the different flavors and the marshmallow like meringue. These two desserts were perfect for our first meal and ones we don't normally have. For a nice restaurant to celebrate an occasion or just to eat somewhere nice, Criollo is the restaurant to try! The duck gumbo and butterscotch bread pudding are a must try!

Rich, layered, and well-balanced with fresh elements that worked together on the plate. For entrées, we had a variety of cuts, including the Australian Wagyu, ribeye, butcher's cut, and lamb chops. The Wagyu stood out immediately. High quality, great sear, and finished tableside, which added to the overall experience without taking away from the food itself. Each steak was cooked precisely to temperature and full of flavor. The lamb chops paired with carrots and brussels were well executed and balanced. The sides complemented the meal well and did not feel like afterthoughts. You can also see their in-house dry aging setup, which speaks to the level of detail they put into their steak program. It shows in the final product. The drinks were solid across the board. The Old Fashioned and bourbon selections paired well with the meal and matched the food's quality. Service by Noelle was attentive and responsive throughout the night. Everything flowed well, and we were taken care of without feeling rushed or hovered over. This is not a casual dinner spot, but for a celebration or a night where you want a full experience, Doris Metropolitan absolutely delivers.

Overall, the experience was average and did not fully meet those expectations. The charcuterie and cheese board, priced at $68, was underwhelming in both portion size and value. It included only six thin slices of cured meat and a small selection of cheeses. Unfortunately, one of the cheeses had an unpleasant flavor that made it inedible for our table. The bread service was a highlight, offering a nice variety of breads and accompaniments. The ribeye was cooked well and enjoyable, but it did not stand out from what I've experienced at other upscale steakhouses. The five-cheese couscous was the biggest disappointment, as it lacked the rich, flavorful profile its description suggested. While the service and presentation were appreciated, the overall dining experience did not justify the high expectations or the price point.

This place advertises burlesque shows and "Shibari", however I did not see any of that during my visit. There are security cameras all over the bar so this location can remain sex-positive and safe for guests. After ordering myself a drink, I chose to relax in their bright pink room with the large bean bag and teddy bear. This was my favorite spot for its light-hearted and playful atmosphere, although the room next to it was pretty exciting as well--with its black-and-white paintings of kinky exhibitionists. During my visit, I noticed that there was a collection of leftover glasses from previous guests. Since it was a slow Sunday night, I thought there would've been ample time for an employee to clean up that area beforehand. There was one barista that night, and while she was kind and made excellent cocktails, her voice was really low--making it difficult to hear her over the music. I'm glad the bar was empty, or else I may have not been able to hear her properly. It was a generous plate and that had me at first bite, the food was delicious. A lot of themed restaurants rely on the novelty and the food can end up being mediocre, but that was definitely not the case here. My husband ordered the pork chop with teriyaki sauce, and it was absolutely delicious--so much so that he talked about it for two days afterward. I had the burger with homemade chips, and both were outstanding. The chips were especially memorable; I honestly wish I knew how they made them because I'd love to have them again.
