We had a bachelorette dinner here for a party of 10. The ambience and mood setting was prefect. Balance of little bit of different vibes, fun, sexy, mysterious, and luxurious. But the food omg was delish! Here's what we ordered which we ate all of it! Nothing left and there wasn't a dish that anyone complained about. Beet Salad $15 Crawfish Bread $17 Lobster Toast $24 Duck & Andouille Gumbo $13 Risotto $16 Dry Aged Flat Iron Steak $63 Fettucine Nero $45 Roasted Whole Gulf Fish $62 Trout $36 Lamb Shank $58 Cracked Potatoes $10 Brussel Sprouts $12 Macaroni $10 Drinks were also fire so enjoy and make a resy here for a night out!
Have been to the rooftop bar multiple times and always love the atmosphere and drinks. Went to dinner for the first time and was very pleasantly surprised. I expected it to be an overhyped tourist attraction but my food and drinks were delicious. I had the rotelle and as someone who doesn't eat pasta much it was a 9/10 for me. Would highly recommend going upstairs afterwards it is a beautiful view. I cannot recall the name but the rhubarb drink upstairs was a 10/10!
We celebrated my daughter's 16th birthday at Jack Rose in New Orleans, and it turned out to be the perfect spot for a group of teenage girls. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt fun, vibrant, and a little over-the-top in the best way. The décor is absolutely stunning--every corner feels like it was designed for photos. The girls had an amazing time taking pictures, and there were endless Instagram-worthy backdrops throughout the restaurant. If you're planning a special occasion with teens (or honestly anyone who loves a good aesthetic), this place delivers. The food was delicious. The pork cheek was a great starter. The girls loved all the desert options. Mom and Dad enjoyed cocktails especially the sugar cane old fashion in the other room. The staff was friendly and accommodating with our group, which made the experience even better. The energy of the place really made the night feel like an event rather than just dinner. Overall, it was a memorable way to celebrate a milestone birthday. If you're looking for a lively, visually fun spot in New Orleans for a special occasion, Jack Rose is a great choice.
Dined here for many years, heading back to when it was the Magnolia Room! Love the murals. The entrance is like an art gallery, and I adore it. No doubt Its a fancy pants place. Another part that lives on from much earlier times is the Mile High Pie...you haven't lived if you haven't tried that! For a nano second it was a John Besh restaurant. That was before he was forced to step back, but I wish he would still be involved now that he's stepped out of the shadows. So dress up, bring your wallet and celebrate a milestone here. Its just that kind of place. Expect extraordinary service!

I think it's hard not to love this place. The atmosphere is intimate and yet very welcoming. We had the luxury of being in the room that had their lovely mile high pie posted all over the ceiling and it honestly looks impressive. It's great for friends and groups. The food was yummy and the drinks were even better! They have several cocktail options and it was hard to choose just a couple. They also offer a chambong, which was perfect for our friend's birthday celebration. Our server was great, very chill and accommodating for our friend group. Such an easy place to come back to every time!
This place is super fun. The room is just beautiful with art and colors. The menu is varied and the cocktails are . I especially loved the tequila one with coconut. Onto the food - you MUST get the crawfish bread. This is not like the crawfish bread you might pick up at a festival even though those are good. This is based on a Parker house roll and you know I love those - with incredibly delicious cream cheese inside and the crawfish busting out the top. Check out the picture and you will definitely order it. Also, they specialize in house made pasta. Get the lobster one. My friend ordered it and I was coveting it. Another friend got a fish and it was very tasty. We had some nice desserts, too. Max was a very nice server.
Well all the Teedee's were outside! We had a cousin's brunch at this marvelous restaurant and everything including us were top tier ! The ambiance was soooo nice! Our waiter was beyond amazing and made the best mocktail I ever had and it was cute! I had fried catfish with Brussels sprouts! The hollandaise sauce for the fish was amazing with a little kick to it! Baaabbbbyyy, them brussel sprouts with pomegranate were EVERYTHING DO YOU HEAR ME!!!! The chicken and waffles got rave reviews from the cousins too! This is a nice place to dine for date night, girls night out, brunch, or just treating yourself out! Go, you won't be disappointed!

Located in the Pontchartrain Hotel, Jack Rose is an incredibly special spot. The interior decorations embody the spirit and sparkle of New Orleans. Servers are so kind and welcoming, making your feel cared for and guiding you through the menu. We ordered the Gulf Shrimp Salad with a creamy citrus dressing (I swear I could have eaten this dressing alone), Brussel Sprouts side topped with pomegranate and and Banana Leaf Wrapped Speckled Trout with crab boil butter, red potatoes, and corn. Every dish was gourmet and delicious. We were full, but could not leave without trying the Mile High Pie. It was the most celebratory of desserts - and the dark chocolate, marshmellow topping and peppermint ice cream were as epic as a dessert gets. A must visit in New Orleans.
Unfortunately, we made the big mistake of having brunch here. The problems started when our appetizers and main courses all came out at exactly the same time. It got worse when I asked to send my entrée back and bring it when I'm finished my appetizer and they got offended. My wife was cold so I asked them to warm it up and guess what they got offended again. When I finish my gumball, which was OK at best my entrée arrived cold it was the same entrée they had brought out earlier. That is unacceptable. Needless to say, we will never ever be back to dine at Jack Rose again.
Dinner at Jack Rose absolutely delivered. Eclectic vibe, good music, dark speak easy-esque feel. First, our server Julia was outstanding. Friendly, knowledgeable, honest, and clearly knew the menu inside and out. Her recommendations were spot on, and she made the whole experience better. Easily one of the highlights of the night. We started with cocktails. The Frothy Four Hundred in particular stood out with mezcal, Licor 43, orchard pear liqueur, agave, lemon, and egg whites. Balanced, aromatic, and not overly sweet. Food-wise, there honestly was not a miss. The pork cheeks were rich and savory, tender with great flavor. The polenta was creamy, the dish was salty in the best way, and everything worked together. The duck and andouille gumbo had just the right amount of heat. Not overly thick, plenty of meat, deeply savory, with a subtle sweetness from the duck. The spice builds but never overpowers. The lamb shank was crispy on the outside, tender inside, lemony, and very well seasoned. The only knock is the bed of black-eyed peas. I would have much preferred this over a risotto. Still tasty, just not my favorite pairing. The fettuccine nero was excellent. Fork-tender scallops, ribbon-like squid ink noodles, and a light cream sauce. It did include mushrooms, which worked here. Noodles were cooked perfectly and the flavor was outstanding. The cracked potatoes were addictive. Calabrian chilies, rosemary, garlic, parsley. Savory, garlicky, subtly spicy, with freshness from the herbs. Supposedly made for two, but one person could absolutely finish them. They are that good. For dessert, we went with the bread pudding. Warm, buttery, comforting. The vanilla bean ice cream on top was still very cold and firm, took some time to melt, but the flavor was solid and worked well once it did. Overall, the food was outstanding across the board. Get a reservation because they were packed on a Friday night. Julia was fantastic, there was not a bad thing on the menu, and we will definitely be back.
We had Sunday brunch at Jack Rose during our trip to New Orleans, and this has officially become one of my favorite brunch spots in the city! From the moment we arrived, the experience was wonderful. We were immediately greeted by the hostess and seated right away. The restaurant itself has such a cool, funky vibe... the artwork, greenery, and giant disco ball in the middle of the dining room make the whole space feel fun and unique. Our waiter was absolutely incredible. He was patient, kind, attentive, and gave us some great recommendations throughout the meal. We started with the Pork Cheeks, served over polenta with Creole meunière, and they were absolutely incredible!!! We also ordered the CinnaBomb which was a warm cinnamon bun with pecan-maple caramel that was every bit as good as it sounds. My mother-in-law ordered a cup of the Duck & Andouille Gumbo and is STILL raving about it LOL. For my entrée, I had the Fried Chicken Benedict... which was fried chicken with buffalo sauce, poached eggs, hollandaise, and a buttermilk corn biscuit. It was magical and easily one of the best Benedicts I've ever had. I also ordered a side of their stone-ground grits because I couldn't get enough of them... YUM! They're made with cream cheese and butter, and they are SO creamy and delicious. My boyfriend and mother-in-law both ordered the Shrimp + Grits with NOLA BBQ, andouille, piquillo peppers, and roasted corn, and they both loved them. They said the dish was incredibly flavorful. My father-in-law ordered the Chorizo Hash, which normally comes with poached eggs, but he prefers scrambled eggs and they were more than happy to accommodate the substitution. We were way too full for dessert by the end, but honestly, everything we tried was fantastic. Between the food, the atmosphere, and the wonderful service, Jack Rose was one of the highlights of our trip. Highly recommend for brunch in New Orleans. We will absolutely be back! read more

Beet salad: wasn't wowed by it 3/5 Pork cheeks: this was interesting and good. 5/5 Crawfish bread: fire! Aesthetically, the place is beautiful, and the service was excellent. It definitely has a touristy vibe as there were lots of dressed-up groups celebrating birthdays and bachelorette parties, which made the atmosphere pretty loud. The food was good, but nothing particularly stood out, especially considering the high prices. I probably wouldn't return, but it's worth noting that the menu changes frequently, so be sure to check their website the day you go! read more

Thoroughly impressed with Jack Rose. Went here last night for an anniversary and they truly showed out. The service was top notch. Every staff member we encountered was so kind, in a very genuine way. Of course the decor and aesthetic is absolutely stunning. Normally you would expect a restaurant with beautiful interior to have meh food. Not the case here! Every single thing we ate was absolutely delicious and flavorful. I wanted to try dessert so badly but I was too full from trying to finish my entire main course (it was that good). The cocktails were strong, if that's your preference. Would absolutely recommend Jack Rose for the experience, atmosphere, & food! read more

We came for a bachleorette dinner and to have a good time in the Big Easy. This place exceeded all my expectations. The drinks, service of our wait staff, the impeccable vibe, playlist of music was nice, and of course food were all phenomenal. The artwork displayed throughout the establishment lead to good conversation think pieces. I really enjoyed checking out the self portrait of Lil Wayne. Went here for a date night on our weekend trip! Everything was really great until it came down to my entree. I am celiac/gluten free and when asking the server for recommendations, she noted the fried chicken was naturally GF and super yummy. I figured why not try it!! Well, after consuming the chicken and potatoes, I became instantly so sick. I think the fryer was not GF / a lot of cross contamination because my stomach instantly hurt and has not felt good in days. Please make sure servers are aware and can help people with allergies because this is my worst nightmare especially on a trip and having to be in an airport the next day. Other than that, WONDERFUL restaurant but just a bummer. read more

From beginning to end, our experience at Jack Rose was an unforgettable and special one! My sister and I dined in to celebrate her birthday and our server Ashley went above and beyond to make the night special. The food itself was memorable - from the starter to the course to the desserts. My sister and I could not stop singing the praises of each dish. The ambiance and decor were also unique and part of what made this night so special. We cannot rave enough about Jack Rose! This place was a hit for our big bachelorette party! The ambiance and decor 10/10. So unique and maximalist in the best way, I just wanted to move right in. The staff also know how to do celebrations right- immediately bringing out a champagne funnel (?!) for the bride to be. It was dimly lit and quite lively inside. The food was delicious but the menu fairly limited, depending on your diet preferences. There was a seasonal peach salad that was soooo fresh and light and delicious for summer. I also had the crawfish cheesey pasta which was just insanely delicious and decadent and filling. The cocktail menu was exciting and tasty as well. Jack Rose is on the pricier side and there are set amounts you must spend for a party of a certain size but with an entree and a few drinks we had no problem doing that! We ended up also hitting to the roof top bar (Hot Tin- great views) and downstairs to the bar right off the lobby (live jazz on the weekend). So far this is the best restaurant I've tried in New Orleans. Great ambiance, food, drinks and service! For drinks I tried the Molly Ringwald, SugarCane Old Fashioned, Chabong and Espresso Martini and I enjoyed them all. For food I tried the Lobster Aracini, Crawfish Risotto, and Rosemary Lamb Chops...all tasty. For dessert we had the Pistakion. It was interesting, it was good but idk if I would order it again. I knew this restraunt was going to be amazing the second we walked in! We were greeted by the sweetest staff and the place was absolutely beautiful! Service was quick and the food was delicious!! The cocktails were very good and so was the food! After our dinner we headed up to the hot tin rooftop bar to end our night and it was absolutely amazing!! We definitely will be back!! read more

Man oh man. If you want to visit a place with obvious French influence in terms of food and decor then come here. Another gem in New Orleans that many tourists may not know much about. Located inside of the Pontchartrain Hotel (in the back and to the right) is Jack Rose. As you're walking through the hotel and into the restaurant you'll feel like you were teleported between two different periods of time. It's a sight to see. What I love about NOLA is that even though they put an emphasis on the aesthetics of their restaurants, they are still sure to prioritize the quality of their food and service. Not one bad experience at any place I've been to here. Came here for brunch w/my cousin and boyfriend. We started with the chambong (a must have), then I ordered the honeysuckle hottie (very unique experience as well- it's a hot tea cocktail w/liquor...but a very solid choice when the weather is gloomy or cold). So i think it's a cute restaurant . Very eclectic . The food however was very average . I had the red snapper and my date the fish in the bag . Both were just really very average. I enjoyed the appetizers more than the entrees. Seafood arancini - my favorite app. Light on the inside and crispy on the outside . The only complaint is i wanted a larger portion Kale Caesar- average Cracked Potatoes- they were pretty tasty. And of Course filling Beet and citrus salad- was light and tasted ok. While the eclectic decor was charming, the meal Really was not my favorite. Our waitress was attentive. read more

I don't recall items specified as gluten-free but there are items not breaded or without thickeners that may contain wheat, but as a healthcare professional I wouldn't bank on there not being cross-contamination of allergens at some point.

No it looks like Jack Rose is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays but open the rest of the days!

Unfortunately it does not; however. the interior of Jack Rose is very eclectic and a bit romantic in style. There is a bar called Hot Tin on a roof nearby that is perfect for pre-dinner cocktails with a spectacular view of the city!

What is dress code?
Everywhere in Nola is pretty casual, especially in summer. I wore a sundress and my husband wore a polo and shorts with tennis shoes.

We have quite a few vegetarian options. 'Nduja flatbread, fritto misto, satsuma & fennel salad, and our king trumpet mushroom entree to name a few.
