    Tequila cocktail

This place is super fun. The room is just beautiful with art and colors. The menu is varied and the cocktails are . I especially loved the tequila one with coconut. Onto the food - you MUST get the crawfish bread. This is not like the crawfish bread you might pick up at a festival even though those are good. This is based on a Parker house roll and you know I love those - with incredibly delicious cream cheese inside and the crawfish busting out the top. Check out the picture and you will definitely order it. Also, they specialize in house made pasta. Get the lobster one. My friend ordered it and I was coveting it. Another friend got a fish and it was very tasty. We had some nice desserts, too. Max was a very nice server.

Well all the Teedee's were outside! We had a cousin's brunch at this marvelous restaurant and everything including us were top tier ! The ambiance was soooo nice! Our waiter was beyond amazing and made the best mocktail I ever had and it was cute! I had fried catfish with Brussels sprouts! The hollandaise sauce for the fish was amazing with a little kick to it! Baaabbbbyyy, them brussel sprouts with pomegranate were EVERYTHING DO YOU HEAR ME!!!! The chicken and waffles got rave reviews from the cousins too! This is a nice place to dine for date night, girls night out, brunch, or just treating yourself out! Go, you won't be disappointed!

JACK ROSE REALLY IMPRESSED ME. I really wish I would've tried this place sooner . The ambiance was absolutely amazing & super romantic. I attended brunch here and was very impressed by the food. Curated very well & tasted amazing. The drinks were very strong but tasted refreshing. Our server was very nice and made the experience a great once .

Located in the Pontchartrain Hotel, Jack Rose is an incredibly special spot. The interior decorations embody the spirit and sparkle of New Orleans. Servers are so kind and welcoming, making your feel cared for and guiding you through the menu. We ordered the Gulf Shrimp Salad with a creamy citrus dressing (I swear I could have eaten this dressing alone), Brussel Sprouts side topped with pomegranate and and Banana Leaf Wrapped Speckled Trout with crab boil butter, red potatoes, and corn. Every dish was gourmet and delicious. We were full, but could not leave without trying the Mile High Pie. It was the most celebratory of desserts - and the dark chocolate, marshmellow topping and peppermint ice cream were as epic as a dessert gets. A must visit in New Orleans.

I think it's hard not to love this place. The atmosphere is intimate and yet very welcoming. We had the luxury of being in the room that had their lovely mile high pie posted all over the ceiling and it honestly looks impressive. It's great for friends and groups. The food was yummy and the drinks were even better! They have several cocktail options and it was hard to choose just a couple. They also offer a chambong, which was perfect for our friend's birthday celebration. Our server was great, very chill and accommodating for our friend group. Such an easy place to come back to every time!

Unfortunately, we made the big mistake of having brunch here. The problems started when our appetizers and main courses all came out at exactly the same time. It got worse when I asked to send my entrée back and bring it when I'm finished my appetizer and they got offended. My wife was cold so I asked them to warm it up and guess what they got offended again. When I finish my gumball, which was OK at best my entrée arrived cold it was the same entrée they had brought out earlier. That is unacceptable. Needless to say, we will never ever be back to dine at Jack Rose again.

Excellent customer service. The parade added extra time to our commute but they still accommodated us. Beautiful restaurant. Great music. I cleared my plate which was the shrimp and grits. No complaints. I recommend

The food was pretty good. I wish it was served hot instead of luke warm. The wait to get a table on a Sunday was pretty lengthy. Other than that, the service was pretty decent from the time we ordered until the time the food came out. I would say the vibe is dressy casual.

Aesthetically, the place is beautiful, and the service was excellent. It definitely has a touristy vibe as there were lots of dressed-up groups celebrating birthdays and bachelorette parties, which made the atmosphere pretty loud. The food was good, but nothing particularly stood out, especially considering the high prices. I probably wouldn't return, but it's worth noting that the menu changes frequently, so be sure to check their website the day you go!

I made reservations to bring my friend here for her birthday and it was a really great experience. While I felt the food was just okay, a little fancier than average but taste was just okay, the ambiance, drinks, dessert and service were amazing! I would return mainly for the vibe & the drinks!

Such a fun vibe!! Our server made us feel like our dinner was a total party and made it so much fun! The space is pretty and inspo an the food is great! A whole package! The highlight was the crawfish bread and I loved my radiatore pasta with crawfish! Definitely great stuff and 100/10 hand stuffed blue cheese olives

Thoroughly impressed with Jack Rose. Went here last night for an anniversary and they truly showed out. The service was top notch. Every staff member we encountered was so kind, in a very genuine way. Of course the decor and aesthetic is absolutely stunning. Normally you would expect a restaurant with beautiful interior to have meh food. Not the case here! Every single thing we ate was absolutely delicious and flavorful. I wanted to try dessert so badly but I was too full from trying to finish my entire main course (it was that good). The cocktails were strong, if that's your preference. Would absolutely recommend Jack Rose for the experience, atmosphere, & food!

Do they still require proof of vaccine?

Yes when I went in March, but they don't compare it to an ID and just quickly look.

Are there any gluten free options available? We have a person in our group with celiac. Thank you!

I don't recall items specified as gluten-free but there are items not breaded or without thickeners that may contain wheat, but as a healthcare professional I wouldn't bank on there not being cross-contamination of allergens at some point.

How many servings can you get with the half and full order of the disco punch? So my party will be a party of 6 should I go for half or full?

Hi Robin! The full disco punch serves 8-10 drinks so a party of six could do the full if everyone is looking for more than one serving!

Hi Patricia! Sitting in the living room area is first come, first served to no reservations are needed!

    Yes

    Are they open on Monday?

No it looks like Jack Rose is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays but open the rest of the days!

Are the chambongs offered at dinner?

    Yep!

Does Jack Rose have romantic rooftop restaurant seating?

Unfortunately it does not; however. the interior of Jack Rose is very eclectic and a bit romantic in style. There is a bar called Hot Tin on a roof nearby that is perfect for pre-dinner cocktails with a spectacular view of the city!

The ambiance is amazing, plus velvet, emerald and sapphire tone, glitzy, and feels like a good photo op. The bar and cocktail menu looked expansive. However, I was going to be hopping on a meeting, so I could not partake, unfortunately. A group got this impressive tower of espresso martini and everyone seemed to be enjoying their drinks! I wanted that New Orleans seafood but had late lunch, so I opted for just the crispy gulf shrimp on cheesy grits. I really wished I can hungrier because the dish ended up being very heavy. The shrimp were nice and crispy. The charred Brussels sprouts gave me the false sense that this was a healthy dish because I was getting my veggie intake. The bacon jam was sweet and went well with the Brussels sprouts. I loved the combination of the cheesy grits and the Crystal hot sauce. It was the perfect amount of both and some how led me to understand why Americans put hot sauce on their Mac n cheese and some other cheesy dishes after 30 years of not really understanding the attraction to that combo. I got the marinated olives to go so I could have a little snack later. They were just stuff I feel I could get in a jar... not really sure if I could justify the price. I think this is a fine place if you're looking for a photogenic night out drinking with a group of friends. Could be really cute for brunch!

Rye whiskey, Peychaud's Bitters, and sugar are stirred in a small pitcher with ice. The serving glass is chilled, then emptied, and finished with an absinthe rinse along the rim. The Apothecary was the cure. We grabbed seats mid bar and before we even finished settling in, there were waters waiting on the bar. That simple move already separated this place from the chaos outside. It's hospitality in its cleanest form: welcome in, take a breath, we got you. Inside is low light and old time apothecary mood, menus like a spellbook, but it's not gimmicky. The bartenders move like they've done the reps. Calm. Precise. No frantic showboating, no syrupy cover ups, no sloppy pours even with the parade energy banging on the door. We ordered two and they were both dead on. Alchemist Elixir: pea flower gin, elderflower liqueur, fresh lemon. It shows up pale violet with an orchid on the rim and yes it's pretty, but it's also disciplined. Floral without tasting like perfume. Bright without being sour. A drink that makes you slow down. Plus a magic chemists surprise. Corpse Reviver #2: local gin, Lillet Blanc, Grand Marnier, absinthe, fresh lemon. Cold, crisp, citrus first, then the herbal edge and just enough absinthe to remind you what city you're in. Served in a textured coupe with a cherry skewer, details handled like they actually matter. Outside, the streets were selling amnesia in plastic souvenir cups. Inside, The Apothecary was serving adults. Let Bourbon Street keep the grenades. Give me the anecdote .

The ambiance was absolutely stunning. We arrived at night, and even in the dim lighting, the charm of the space--from the books lining the walls to the velvet chairs and lush animal-print accents--created the perfect Saturday night vibe. It was also quieter than a typical bar, which made it feel refined and intimate; you can actually enjoy a real conversation while soaking in the beauty of the space. The drink menu is short but tasteful, with a wide range of profiles. With an exceptionally skilled bartender (sad I did not catch his name), every cocktail was perfectly balanced and beautifully executed. He was also happy to craft off-menu drinks by request. The host was also warm, funny, and attentive. We didn't get to try the food this time, but we're already looking forward to it on our next visit!

The entrance is nice with an overhead and plants lining the walk down into the lounge. Once you're in you're greeted by a hostess, who was actually a bit snarky and rude when seating us for our reservation (also said by another guest we spoke to). The actual space itself is moody, dimly lit with red accents throughout. It has a polished feel and the environment is incredibly intimate. Our waitress was very nice and made ordering with a party of 10 seamless. For our order we got a banana Negroni and a glass of white wine. The wine was great, crisp and sweet. The Negroni was strong and bold with the banana peeking through the drink with flavor. They also offer a few bites off their menu but we opted not to grab one there. The whole experience was fun and everyone liked their drinks. It's a great place to relax and get some drinks but the experience with the hostess was a bit off-putting. A great option if you're looking for a quiet, more refined cocktail lounge to enjoy a drink in NOLA.
