We wandered into this place around the park. AMAZING. Bartender was knowledgeable, friendly and just really cool. I had a Bellini that used a liquor syrup. My husband had an espresso martini. The oysters were so good. We ordered two of each and then more. The Fois Gras with rhubarb... chefs kiss. Super cool vibe. Loved it.

We stopped into Fives for their happy hour and could not have been happier. The bar tenders were kind and attentive, despite the rush. The ambiance in the French quarter is unbeatable. The oysters were some of the best I've ever had and reasonably priced and the cocktails were divine. I would definitely recommend as an oyster and cocktail bar to anyone!

Cool spot! Such a cool and cozy space with good vibes. Service was fast and friendly. Stopped in to grab a drink while waiting out traffic on a Friday night and ended up trying a couple dishes. How could I pass up an opportunity when the menu had such amazing offerings. I ordered the Gulf Shrimp Cocktail and the Beef Tartare. Both were excellent. The shrimp did have a different texture than I've had before; almost fluffy for lack of a better term. The yolk atop the tartare was icing on the proverbial cake. The wine pours were generous which is always welcomed and appreciated. I would definitely go back with my husband the next time we're in NOLA. Kudos!!

We went back a year later (twice) and we still love Fives. The bartenders are so friendly and make excellent cocktails. I do not eat raw oysters but they had a wide variety, and many people ordered and seemed to be enjoying them. I tried a gin fizz for the first time and it's one of the best cocktails I've ever had. We will continue to visit when in NOLA.

If I was a local, Fives Bar would be my spot. This was easily one of the best meals I've had in the last year. The vibes were immaculate - it was cozy, warm, and inviting. Staff was super friendly and spent time with our table chatting and sharing other local recommendations. Despite their professionalism, you felt like you were home with friends. I got the impression that everyone working there loves the place and really cares about what they're doing. I loved the approach they took with the menu - fresh, curated, and flavorful. The cocktails were fantastic, and the food was next level. The bread on its own makes it worth going. We loved everything we got. I can't wait to come back!

Woah! Go try this spot and get all of the oysters! They are all phenomenal! Try them all! Service is great! The staff is helpful but it's busy so be patient with them! Great things take time. Love the ambiance. Great spot right off of a Main Street!

This is by far my favorite bar on my trip to NOLA. loved the intimate setting with the actual bar taking center stage with a few small tables scattered around. Lively but able hold conversations. The bartenders are incredible! Very knowledgeable and creative with the drinks menu. We tried a few different liquors as they explained some drink creations to us. The food was delicious. Had the small gem salad, shrimp cocktail and lobster roll. Met the manager who was so friendly and gave us more history on the place. Definitely worth a visit!

Stumbled across Fives when looking for a break from walking and shopping, literally just across the street from Jackson square. Definitely surprised to find this small, cozy, and well non-touristy gem right in the French Quarter. They have a great drink lineup and they also offer some small plates and seafood, with a diverse selection of oysters. What became my go-to during New Orleans - I ordered a sazerac, then a Pimm's cup, and finally their hurricane. All were well crafted cocktails and that hurricane is stout. The Wife and I also shared a half dozen oysters, which hit the spot. This really is a great place if you just need to stop in to avoid some of the crowds or just want a nice drink and some small plates during your French Quarter jaunt. Five's will be a go-to going forward.

Stopped in for a drink after exploring Jackson square. Service was excellent, smaller bar so staff is always checking in and ready to make more drinks. They offer a great happy hour special but sadly too full for food. We did order the Saturn in Retrograde and a Vodka Gimlet. Both drinks delicious and hit the spot. Fives was a great spot and I'd love to come back my next visit!

This is a cute, small bar serving phenomenal cocktails! On my 2 visits I didn't try any of the food but the salad and oysters looked so good. I saw oysters being delivered on both days that I was there so they are fresh! The bartenders were nice. The bathrooms were clean. I highly recommend this bar for upscale drinks and food.

Oh.my.goodness. SO GOOD!! We dined here for happy hour and absolutely LOVED everything about our visit. The ambiance was a chill, trendy vibe with most of their seating around their circular bar. Aside from that, they have about four small tables around the room- so with that said, you may have to wait for a seat but it's so worth it. Firstly, the staff is so friendly and welcoming. Their vibe makes you excited to try their drinks and food. We visited for happy hour and ordered a few delicious cocktails - all fresh and perfect. We also ordered raw oysters that were perfectly shucked, chilled, and paired with great accompaniments of cocktail sauce, lemon, and vinaigrette. I regretted not ordering a full dozen. We also ordered the trout caviar. We were hesitant as we love Osetra caviar but went ahead for the trout and for this, there were no regrets, it was wonderful. The trout caviar bursts a nice salty note in your mouth and balances so well with the pairing items. You must try this! I will forever remember this bar for every trip back to New Orleans...and will be craving it until then.

What a great place for service, a great little hideaway on Jackson Square to eat oysters! Special attention to detail was definitely in the works here. Oysters, caviar, and wonderful cocktails were on the menu! It's a cozy spot, and we always like to sit at the bar to watch them at work.

The presentation of the food came was amazing. We ordered the linguine and added meatballs, which was well worth it. We also ordered the shrimp & grits, which included Brussels sprouts. Boy, it was sure nice to get some vegetables in my stomach after eating all that yummy fried food during our stay! All in all, both dishes were delicious. It is a little on the pricey side, but after several days of eating in the touristy area of the French Quarter, this was truly a welcome change. Service was polite and attentive. I always appreciate the staff's efforts by making simply making eye contact and smiling (which they did). Seems trivial but I think those small things says a lot about a business. I would recommend this restaurant even if you are not a guest of the hotel.

The ambiance is amazing, plus velvet, emerald and sapphire tone, glitzy, and feels like a good photo op. The bar and cocktail menu looked expansive. However, I was going to be hopping on a meeting, so I could not partake, unfortunately. A group got this impressive tower of espresso martini and everyone seemed to be enjoying their drinks! I wanted that New Orleans seafood but had late lunch, so I opted for just the crispy gulf shrimp on cheesy grits. I really wished I can hungrier because the dish ended up being very heavy. The shrimp were nice and crispy. The charred Brussels sprouts gave me the false sense that this was a healthy dish because I was getting my veggie intake. The bacon jam was sweet and went well with the Brussels sprouts. I loved the combination of the cheesy grits and the Crystal hot sauce. It was the perfect amount of both and some how led me to understand why Americans put hot sauce on their Mac n cheese and some other cheesy dishes after 30 years of not really understanding the attraction to that combo. I got the marinated olives to go so I could have a little snack later. They were just stuff I feel I could get in a jar... not really sure if I could justify the price. I think this is a fine place if you're looking for a photogenic night out drinking with a group of friends. Could be really cute for brunch!

We weren't super hungry so we split a bunch of lighter bites and grabbed a handful of cocktails as well. Our favorites of the night were the crab tartlettes and the savory calas with snapper pastrami. The tuno crudo had fresh fish but it felt a bit overwhelmed by the other flavors, which were kind of one-note and heavy. The bread that came with it was overtoasted, but the foie gras parfait was excellent. We ended the night with the grapefruit sesame panna cotta. The flavors were surprising but they worked really well together. Would definitely come back for cocktails and light bites the next time we're in the city!
