Chicken tenders and a frozen margarita 4.5/10
Lindsey P.

Service is nice and supportive to tourists. Chicken was spicier than expected for just ordering chicken tenders, biscuit was hard, atmosphere is grab and go because you're close to bourbon street and everyone walks around drinking, not as ideal for work travel but convenient for a quick bite and if you want to take a loop around Canal street

We were assisted by Sha'Kim & Carmen. They were both very pleasant and helpful. They answered all of my questions pertaining to flavor options and what the drinks consisted of. They were very personable and sweet. This is my first time at this location and we will return, thanks ladies!!

Very trippy fried chicken place that also sells cocktails Fried chicken is standard good level here. Fries are also crispy with a hint of spicy Pie was crispy and hot but not much meat in it Cheap price for a quick late night bite

Po' Boy

I beg you, if you want a Po" Boy, do not go to this establishment. I had several Po" Boys on this visit. Today I got the chicken tender version. .Literally on each half of the sandwich there were two tiny tenders (cut in half, I assume to make it look more substantial). Basically it was just bread with a tiny bit of tender and some lettuce and tomato . By far the worst I've had in my entire life. I showed an employee, and all he said was "I'm sorry you had that experience." Please do not visit this establishment. I hate leaving negative reviews. But this one deserved it. I could not figure out how to leave Zero Stars. Gumbo Kitchen, about a block away on Canal Street is FAR superior. In fact, we literally walked straight there to get a second meal as the first was so terrible.

Chicken tenders with fries and voodoo sauce

Came here for a quick bite to eat and drink before hitting up bourbon street. Went with a tenders meal with voodoo sauce and a cold beer. The first two beers I tried to get were both out of tap, but as they say third times the charm! Chicken and the fries were both hot and fresh and made for a very tasty meal. Voodoo sauce was good, and maybe this is my NY roots talking, but I think I'll always be a buffalo kind of man. The guy behind the grill was so nice and even gave our big group a complimentary basket of chicken and fries without us even saying anything! That alone was worth enough for a rave review. It might not be the most glamorous meal you'll find in the New Orleans, but it's easy and delicious.

I ordered Mac and Cheese and it was not good...it was white cheddar and very bland, almost out the box type. I also order a biscuit crawfish pie and those were great. The service was good. The atmosphere was vibe, great music!

This is a popular spot for fast food and drinks. The drinks are super sugary and boozy. The food is greasy but good. I recommend the chicken tenders! They're juicy and flavorful. I pulled off a little of the breading and dove in!

Voodoo! Lol

Great flavors and crispy waffle fries, plus a full bar! The only reason I'm giving it four stars instead of five is because they didn't offer any condiments, and by the time we got back to our Airbnb, we realized they weren't inside the restaurant--kind of a letdown. The music was really lively and fun, but since our Airbnb was just upstairs, it was pretty loud and made it hard to relax. Overall, a solid spot with tasty food and a vibrant vibe!

3-piece tender meal

A little expensive but everything we ordered was amazing. The voodoo sauce is sweet and spicy, but the chicken is so flavored you don't even need a strong sauce. Frozen daiquiris are really good, but the ambience is definitely lacking. Super cool decor but absolutely silent without music.

My first stop while I'm here visiting New Orleans, I was very excited to eat here. The decor is definitely what drew me here and I was starving just checking in my hotel. The space was amazing, again it is what made me come inside in the first place, it was well lit and had a New Orleans theme throughout the restaurant. Plenty of space and seating available for patrons. They had really cool pictures on the wall, and would be a great place for people to come and get content or take pictures. Service was good, the cashier walked me through the menu and gave me some suggestions. The restaurant was empty so she took her time breaking different meals down and I appreciated the time she took with me. Food was decent at best, actually disappointing if I'm being completely honest. I had the Voodoo wrap, Natchitoches Pie (meat), and the honey butter biscuit. The rice in the wrap was really hard, I felt like I could have chipped a tooth biting into it. The pie was soggy and just did not taste like anything, underwhelming first choice for food unfortunately but I know the city has plenty of great dining options to offer.

3 Tender Basket was a lot of food
Joe S.

They get the award for best ceiling!!! Oh, and they have great Tenders and Waffle Fries, and my advice is to just stick with the tender basket. 3 was plenty as they were huge. The wrap was about the same size and was small and pathetic looking with maybe one tender inside. I think both the loaded 3 tender basket and the wrap were $15. What sucked was it was so cold out, it was like 1am, and they kept the doors flung wide open. The food got cold quick and I was shivering. And what's up with napkins these days? Are they made of gold or something? When packing a box of food, please give more than 3 small napkins! It's finger food! I was glad they were open as we found out a lot of places close pretty early in NOLA, even on a Friday night.

Eric and Jackie were extremely attentive. This place is a vibe. Great drinks and Jackie's recommendations were spot on.

Vineet C.

Wanted a quick bite after checking into our hotel on canal street at night. This place was quick to serve and had plenty of seating. I got a three tender meal with voodoo sauce. This also came with fries and a biscuit. The meal was much bigger than I expected which was a nice surprise. The chicken was just a bit dry but the voodoo sauce helped overcome the shortfall there and had a nice flavor. I'd consider coming back for a quick bite given the value for my dollar here

The presentation of the food came was amazing. We ordered the linguine and added meatballs, which was well worth it. We also ordered the shrimp & grits, which included Brussels sprouts. Boy, it was sure nice to get some vegetables in my stomach after eating all that yummy fried food during our stay! All in all, both dishes were delicious. It is a little on the pricey side, but after several days of eating in the touristy area of the French Quarter, this was truly a welcome change. Service was polite and attentive. I always appreciate the staff's efforts by making simply making eye contact and smiling (which they did). Seems trivial but I think those small things says a lot about a business. I would recommend this restaurant even if you are not a guest of the hotel.

The ambiance is amazing, plus velvet, emerald and sapphire tone, glitzy, and feels like a good photo op. The bar and cocktail menu looked expansive. However, I was going to be hopping on a meeting, so I could not partake, unfortunately. A group got this impressive tower of espresso martini and everyone seemed to be enjoying their drinks! I wanted that New Orleans seafood but had late lunch, so I opted for just the crispy gulf shrimp on cheesy grits. I really wished I can hungrier because the dish ended up being very heavy. The shrimp were nice and crispy. The charred Brussels sprouts gave me the false sense that this was a healthy dish because I was getting my veggie intake. The bacon jam was sweet and went well with the Brussels sprouts. I loved the combination of the cheesy grits and the Crystal hot sauce. It was the perfect amount of both and some how led me to understand why Americans put hot sauce on their Mac n cheese and some other cheesy dishes after 30 years of not really understanding the attraction to that combo. I got the marinated olives to go so I could have a little snack later. They were just stuff I feel I could get in a jar... not really sure if I could justify the price. I think this is a fine place if you're looking for a photogenic night out drinking with a group of friends. Could be really cute for brunch!

Words simply cannot express how much I continue to be blown away by the exquisite quality of food,…read morebeverage, service, and uncommon hospitality demonstrated and perfectly executed by this New Orleans establishment. My wife and I visited on our first NoLa trip together about 4 years ago and make it a point to go every time now. Our first time we stopped in for lunch at the bar and had an excellent experience, and decided to return. We came back on the next trip just to grab a drink and a snack before heading down for dinner in the Bywater. The bartender (Chris) gave a bunch of recommendations for places to visit that way, all of which we have done in the past few trips and have loved. But it's this past trip where we were truly blown away. We were in town for JazzFest and after walking back to the French Quarter, we were thinking about food options and decided to take a gamble to see if we could get a seat at the bar or maybe grab a drink for the road before getting food somewhere else. The bar was full when we got there around 8/8:15, but they had a no show and could serve us, as long as we ordered quickly and were ok with the check hitting the table right at 9PM. Given our slightly (perhaps generous) inebriated state from being at the festival all day and being slightly underdressed, we felt this was quite a kind accommodation. With the clear expectations of needing to get our orders in quickly, we wasted no time making a decision on our drinks and a few food options. Despite this need for a quick turn around, at no time did we feel rushed. The food and drinks were absolutely perfect, as they always are. But what impressed us most was the staff. At no point did the hostess or wait staff seem annoyed by us, despite us parachuting in from a music festival and looking like sunburn and poor decisions. By managing expectations on the front end, we never felt rushed despite the need for a quick turn around. They were all lovely, professional, and as cordial as if we were regulars with standing reservations once a week. In terms of atmosphere, it is always perfect: lively and fun for a date night, dinner with friends/family, or just a nice drink before a night out and about. I truly cannot begin to explain how much I love this restaurant and every experience I've had there. The awards and accolades this establishment (a sincere and lofty term Jewel of the South truly deserves) have been awarded are beyond well earned. Restaurants around the country should aspire to provide the quality of food, service, and overall hospitality Jewel of the South provides on a regular basis. It will continue to be our first and foremost recommendation to anyone we know who is going to New Orleans. Bravo! We shall return!

We shared 5 small plates - the crawfish bread - crawfish inside a crispy, flaky croissant like bread - OMG deliciousness. Then the tufa crudo - so fresh and flavorful, the crab tartlets - fine, but not as good as the other dishes; excellent salad, and the broccolini in a housemade horseradish goat cheese sauce - wow; one of the best broccolini dishes we have had. I would use this version as your gold standard when dining out in New Orleans and looking for a perfect Sazerac. We enjoyed watching bartender Rachel craft each drink. Rye whiskey, Peychaud's Bitters, and sugar are stirred in a small pitcher with ice. The serving glass is chilled, then emptied, and finished with an absinthe rinse along the rim. The cocktail is strained into the glass and topped with a lemon peel. The atmosphere makes the experience even better.
