Great place to eat. I love the lasagna and the location is accessible. The service was very hospitable.

I struggled with putting a 5-star review on a pretty basic menu (no offense), but dang it, everything we've eaten in our last 3 visits (in 2 months) has been 5-star fresh, tasty and plentiful. Give credit where credit is due. And the servers have really stepped it up. Very nice! Have not had to deal with huge crowds on any of our three visits, just a steady stream of in and out guests and to go orders. Drinks are always brought promptly, and only once has one gone dry. (They are $3.79 ea, so drink up!) One visit involved Pesto Bites and a Savory Cannoli w/a pasta salad side. The Pesto Bites were to die for, and don't believe the picture on the website - the cannoli was huge and looked more like a very big calzone, but it was packed with ingredients and flavor. The pasta salad was seasoned with just the right amount of Italian dressing. Another visit involved Mozzarella Sticks, Pesto Bites, wings and a Combo pizza. It also involved a large to go box. :) The wings were very good - not bready or slimy, which I often encounter when wings aren't the sole business of the establishment. Loved the crust on the pizza. The 3rd visit involved 3 people and Pizza Bites, Seafood Bites, Savory Cannoli w/pasta salad, Spaghetti & Meatballs w/2 extra meatballs and a 14" Hawaiian Pizza. There were some to go boxes and to go drinks with this meal too. I was pleasantly surprised with the Hawaiian pizza, not something I would ordinarily try, the Pizza Bites were amazing, and I don't eat shrimp but am told the Seafood Bites were very good. I wish I had taken pictures, but each time we were sitting down starving; that's never good for the photo business. :) Try it, you'll like it. read more

Really loved this place. Fresh Italian food. I had a pizza and salad lunch combo and cheese sticks. Cheese sticks were very tasty and served with homemade marinara. The side salad was a meal in itself and very tasty. The personal pizza had quality, fresh ingredients and the crust was very good. So, I was looking at my previous review to see what I wrote compared to now. I can definitely say that they have improved well with their pasta dishes now as they were seasoned nicely. All of the portions remained plentiful which we ordered a few things and shared amongst 6 people. Hummus was great and refreshing as hummus should be. The boudin egg rolls were also great as it was made with cheese inside as well. As for me, the pizzas were ok. It didn't really stand out or wowed me, but they were good nonetheless. The best part of the food was that they all came out very hot and fresh. I think this is what we always ask for when we go to restaurants. Aside from the food, the service remains great as our waitress did wonderful on checking up on us and refilling drinks as needed. Seating remains the same as I remembered it from last time with a New Orleans vibe in the benches. Overall experience was great and would definitely return to this restaurant if i'm craving Italian! read more

The staff is always friendly helpful and friendly, the decor is a little outdated but adds to the home town appeal. I don't go to eat the decor. The food is abundant and the flavor is very good. I like the pizza and he likes the lasagna. And there is always enough for a doggy bag. For the price that is four meals for the price of two which makes it a great bargain also. read more

Two pasta dishes, a spinach and artichoke dip and a side salad was $55. Spinach and Artichoke: 5/5 absolutely fantastic dip with more than enough bread to eat with the dip Side Salad: 0/5 Once we got home, I noticed it was not in the bag after asking specifically if it was there Seafood Trio Pasta: 6/5 One of the best seafood pastas I've ever eaten. Huge piece of blackened Redfish, copious amounts of shrimp and crawfish in a huge container of pasta with a cream and tomato sauce with cheese. What more can you ask for other than a refill? Lol Cajun Trio Pasta: 4/5 decent amount of protein, roasted garlic sauce was good. Numerous times we'd been to and enjoyed Olive Branch Cafe on Gen De Gaulle, but we were in Marerro the other day and saw that there was another location in a little strip center. After asking, we learned that this was the original location. I enjoyed a calzone and my lunch mate enjoyed a terrific pasta dish. Both were excellent, as were our salads. read more

Came here on a Monday night around 8pm and the establishment was rather quiet. The service was good, we didn't have to ask for refills, napkins or anything of the sort. We had the chicken and sausage gumbo, meatballs, lasagna, seafood trio, garlic bread, and tiramisu. My date enjoyed the gumbo tremendously since it did not have any vegetables. The meatballs were overcooked so the outside was tough and lacked flavor. The marinara sauce is filled with chunks of tomato, which is not my personal preference. The lasagna was filled with meat but also has the same chunky tomato sauce that just is not my preference. My date enjoyed the seafood trio and said he would return for it. The garlic bread was more like a cheesy garlic pizza, which I am not mad about. The tiramisu is worth coming just to have dessert. It is easily my favorite tiramisu on the Westbank, possibly in all of New Orleans. All in all, the prices are not too bad and it's worth a try if you're in the area. read more

This is a very unassuming place. From the outside we had no idea what to expect. Wow! This place was fantastic. Our whole family loved their meal choices. I had the manicotti and I have to say it was the best I've ever had. Armories nice and not real fancy. Our server was fun and we always had a full beverage. I have been to Olive Branch several times, and each has been a good experience. The service is excellent. Each time before, I have been in for lunch and got the Caesar salad and small pizza with pepperoni and black olives. Even though this visit was dinner, I couldn't help but get the same order since it's so good. My father got the shrimp Alfredo pasta, corn and crab bisque, and house salad with honey mustard. He said everything was delicious. My husband got the Greek wrap with chicken and a small house salad. He liked the wrap but said that the ingredients were unevenly distributed- one side had lots of hummus and little chicken and the other side was all chicken and only a little hummus. My husband and I both got the Caesar dressing win our salads- it is amazingly delicious! I definitely recommend Olive Branch :) read more

Had a personal pepperoni pizza here a cooker of weeks ago. Sounds pretty routine, right? But it WASN'T! It was absolutely AMAZING. The waitress said they make their own dough from scratch and it was by far the best pizza of anywhere I've been in years. Well, i was hoping for better food but I Didnt get it. The food is uninspired and really not very good. I had the manicotti with meatballs, it wasn't terrible but meatballs are not cooked in the sauce so they are dry, the manicotti was average, cheesy and plenty sauce. Bread sticks were terrible and i threw them in the garbage. We also got a meat feast calzone which was supposed to have mozzarella, but it didn't and no sauce on the side which was weird. Also was burnt across the top, and not very good. Luckily the bread sticks came with sauce and used it on the calzone. Staff seemed very uninterested in their job, didn't see much management around. I doubt I would order again, I can find better ways to spend 50 bucks!! read more

Pesto Chicken Pizza was EVERYTHING! Figuring out what to eat for lunch at the office is an Olympic sport and today we won GOLD baby! I've visited the olive branch in Algiers and wasn't always a huge fan but this location exceeded all of my previous expectations. We ordered and even paid for our meals over the phone so getting in and out was super easy. This location is a lot bigger and also does BYOB with no cork fee. Also, check out the daily specials which were a summer strawberry salad and grilled redfish with veggies on a Tuesday. I ordered the lunch special which was a 4 inch three topping pizza and a side salad ($11.99). I got the chicken pesto and just removed the feta...voila. Great deal. The pizza was super flavorful and the bread was perfect. I was so stuffed from the pizza that I saved my salad for dinner. It was just as good. I'm definitely making plans to return soon. The past three times I've came to this locations I've gotten bad, wet, soggy lettuce. I usually go between 12-1 because that's my lunch hour. By the time I get back to work after picking it up, I do not have time to go all the way back to get it fixed. This is ridiculous!! The people are so nice there but the quality of the salad is always in bad condition. Spoke to rusty(the owner) about it when it first happened and he told me I would have a credit. Went back in another day to get my salad and was told I did not have a credit on my account so I didn't bother saying anything about the second time my salad was disgusting.
