    Hummus appetizer

Purchased a Local Flavor voucher through Groupon. Read many reviews where some stated that the prices are too expensive but using the voucher beings the prices more in line. Anyhow, food was not amazing but it was really good. Started with the hummus appetizer which was very tasty. I ordered a side Italian salad which was big. Ordered the 12" pepperoni pizza which is 6 slices and thin crust (definitely not NY style but good). My BFF said his chicken parm was decent. Was wanting a glass of red wine but no alcohol is sold here (could tell it wasn't that type of place as Christian music was playing). Our server provided excellent service and was genuinely kind and efficient. She also kept checking up on us.

If we were able to give 1/2 stars I would give 3 and 1/2. What really pushed it from 4 stars is the price. We ordered the spinach dip, fettuccini pasta with chicken and broccoli and chicken basil pesto panini. The sandwich was okay but under seasoned. The spinach dip was delicious but we had no idea adding cheese to the bread was $3! The pasta was good but could have been a little more creamy and the broccoli a little less mushy. The service was good although we could hear conversations coming from the kitchen/servers that probably shouldn't be heard by customers. Overall, I would come back again, but choose more wisely.

First timer, very disappointed! Wtf is this? And I tipped good!! Never again!!

Garbage!! Never again!! And I tipped good! I was excited to try this place out and got this ! SMH

    Spinach and Artichoke Dip

Definitely our go to place! Love the food and very kid friendly. Atmosphere is very welcoming. The servers are always very attentive and can accommodate pretty much any request you have. Spinach Dip is our go to appetizer and has never failed us yet! Don't forget to check out local flavors for deals when you go.

The BRST local place for Italian inspired food! Great Pizza and 100% better than the franchised tripe that's served down the street.

Delicious and fresh pizza! They take care of their customers! One of my favorite pizza places in the city

Outstanding pizza. We got the NY style - crust was thin, crunchy and chewy. There were no leftovers. Highly recommended.

I'm from the tri state area and so far this has been the closest thing to NY pizza. Reasonable sized personal pie along with their salads.

Plenty of parking. The ambience has a formal feel inside. It would be great for a date night but also could accommodate large parties. The bar area with piano playing is cozy and relaxing. The old fashioned made by the bartender is excellent. The wine list is very good too. It's a full bar. The food was very good. The meatballs are homemade and the garlic bread is baked to perfection. If you want it crispy, tell them, if you want it a little undercooked, let them know. They will fix it if it isn't done to your liking. The fish dishes are great, the steak looked really good but I had already decided to get the redfish. The gelato from Angelo Brocato's is excellent. You can get the spumoni and St. Joseph's Chocolate. Both excellent. I can't say enough great things about this location. The staff, bartender, restaurant manager, and operations manager are all excellent. I will definitely be going back here.

For contect, 1 appetizer, 2 entrees at the restaurant, 1 entree to go and 2 ice teas. The veal parm was over cooked with no cheese and the sauce tasted like it came out the can. The chicken was undercooked and the Alfredo was bland. The spinach dip should be called bowl or melted cheese. The shrimp Alfredo was a waste with 6 tail on shrimp and a pasta that was thrown away. The only redeeming quality was the service. The young man was attentive. It wasn't his fault. This faux pas took 38 minutes from parking to pulling off. The fact that there were only 2 tables seated should have been the indicator.

That's clearly communicated when you're greeted, so naturally it sets the expectation for shareable portions. We started with the ricotta and meatballs. Overall, portions felt on the smaller side, but the ricotta, especially at $18, was honestly a bit shocking in size. When we asked about it, a server jokingly said "inflation." I get it, but still. The two guys I dined with come here often and were actually the ones pointing out that portions have seemed to shrink. For mains, we each ordered a pasta. One was a server recommended agnolotti with crab, corn, and roe. It was decent, but the broth felt a bit too loose and could've used more depth and richness. That said, the crab portion was generous, the pesto was great, and the red sauce pasta was solid. We also ordered two pizzas, hands down the highlight of the meal. Easily the best thing we had. One small but off putting detail, the red pepper flakes were served in an open jar rather than a shaker. It made me question how many hands had been in it, especially since it appeared to have been reused from another table. Not the most sanitary presentation. Dessert was a strong finish. Panna cotta, tiramisu, and olive oil cake were all fresh and delicious. Drinks included a cocktail for me and beers plus an espresso martini for the table, all fine. Service wise, things started okay but felt rushed toward the end. We even mentioned we were still picking at food and what seemed to be a manager still cleared plates from the table. The tables themselves are also very small, which doesn't help when you're doing family style dining. Our server appeared to be training someone but never introduced them, which made things feel a bit awkward. Also, when resetting silverware, it felt rushed and a little careless, almost tossed onto the table rather than placed. Overall, the experience was good but not great. The food had its highlights, but portion sizes versus price and some service missteps held it back. 6/10, and honestly it reminded me why I hadn't felt the urge to come back before.

I struggled with putting a 5-star review on a pretty basic menu (no offense), but dang it,…read moreeverything we've eaten in our last 3 visits (in 2 months) has been 5-star fresh, tasty and plentiful. Give credit where credit is due. And the servers have really stepped it up. Very nice! Have not had to deal with huge crowds on any of our three visits, just a steady stream of in and out guests and to go orders. Drinks are always brought promptly, and only once has one gone dry. (They are $3.79 ea, so drink up!) One visit involved Pesto Bites and a Savory Cannoli w/a pasta salad side. The Pesto Bites were to die for, and don't believe the picture on the website - the cannoli was huge and looked more like a very big calzone, but it was packed with ingredients and flavor. The pasta salad was seasoned with just the right amount of Italian dressing. Another visit involved Mozzarella Sticks, Pesto Bites, wings and a Combo pizza. It also involved a large to go box. :) The wings were very good - not bready or slimy, which I often encounter when wings aren't the sole business of the establishment. Loved the crust on the pizza. The 3rd visit involved 3 people and Pizza Bites, Seafood Bites, Savory Cannoli w/pasta salad, Spaghetti & Meatballs w/2 extra meatballs and a 14" Hawaiian Pizza. There were some to go boxes and to go drinks with this meal too. I was pleasantly surprised with the Hawaiian pizza, not something I would ordinarily try, the Pizza Bites were amazing, and I don't eat shrimp but am told the Seafood Bites were very good. I wish I had taken pictures, but each time we were sitting down starving; that's never good for the photo business. :) Try it, you'll like it.

All of the portions remained plentiful which we ordered a few things and shared amongst 6 people. Hummus was great and refreshing as hummus should be. The boudin egg rolls were also great as it was made with cheese inside as well. As for me, the pizzas were ok. It didn't really stand out or wowed me, but they were good nonetheless. The best part of the food was that they all came out very hot and fresh. I think this is what we always ask for when we go to restaurants. Aside from the food, the service remains great as our waitress did wonderful on checking up on us and refilling drinks as needed. Seating remains the same as I remembered it from last time with a New Orleans vibe in the benches. Overall experience was great and would definitely return to this restaurant if i'm craving Italian!
