Another to go breakfast one morning; thankfully a little later than the norm, since the to go window is always backed up with cars. Called ahead and were told 15 min, and it was ready in 15 min when we arrived. A bit of confusion at the counter, but quickly resolved. Breakfast plate with bacon and croissant, 2 eggs sunny side up and grits. Croissant was very nice and eggs were perfectly cooked. Would have preferred crispier bacon, but didn't specify so that's on me. Cannot argue with the price - under $10. Overall a good basic meal from a limited menu - though it would have to be for the volume that they do. Very pleasant service. Would recommend and return. read more

Came here for coffee with my gf on vacation in Louisiana. Shop is very cute and small, with lots of locals visiting seemingly often. I saw the shop cashier and owners knew a lot of the customers who dropped in. Most of their drinks are definitely on the sweeter side (compared to norcal). I had to wait a bit for the ice to melt in my drink in order to get the sweetness level down to a reasonable level. Their drink menu is quite large! If I were to return I'd definitely want to try some of the white chocolate drinks, but I'd definitely have to be wary of the sugar levels. My local coffee spot! My go-to order is the Iced Warm Sugar Cookie Latte and a club sandwich. But honestly everything is pretty great. The soups are comforting, the breakfast is stellar. The place is definitely tiny, but the staff is always friendly and fast. Even with a crowd. Ordering online is also a great way to go to have your coffee and meal ready when you arrive. read more

Amazing. I was on my lunch break, craving something light and saw this spot. Passed by dozens of times but had no idea how high their potential is. As soon as I got to the drive thru someone immediately came out to take my order and thank the lord she was so patient and pleasant with me. I honestly was expecting frozen food but no, the quality is like your go to deli spot. I don't normally drink coffee but I was so interested in the cookies n cream iced coffee that I had to try it. It is located within a big parking lot. So lots of parking. The building is pretty small and have a drive through. I went in for a quick cup of coffee. I got the big daddy latte. They plump white chocolate, dark chocolate, and caramel with two shot of expresso and whole milk. It is pretty basic. Subpar. They ran it pretty efficiently. I know this place is an institution, and their coffee is just fine. But their breakfast sandwich is inexcusable. Y'all call this an egg? Is this McDonald's? Why not just crack a real, fresh egg? Stopped by for the first time today, the coffee and food was great. The service was good and the workers were very kind, however I frankly feel so sorry for the employees working in there. I had my order taken at the front counter and it was excessively hot inside and I noticed that the workers go outside to take orders as well. I can't believe they work in these conditions as it felt 90° inside the building itself. The place was cute, but unfortunately is not a place I could sit down and eat my meal comfortably. read more

Holy Grail breakfast stop! Lately...something won't let me eat fast food breakfast. Because gross. But if I'm starving in the mornings which is always I always order from J'aime Le Cafè. It's a quick stop away from my office if I need to pick it up and most times I place my order on Waitr so it's ready when I arrive. Typically I order the "make your own sandwich ". I get the croissant with turkey and and spinach and it definitely holds me over until lunch. It's a cute, quaint spot that's always full of people when it first open. Tons of coffee and tea options and there's even salads and sandwiches to grab for lunch! A gem in Marrero! read more

This place was SO busy. We were in line for 20 minutes. We had a hard time telling where the line started. I ordered a ice coffee with caramel syrup in it and it was INSANELY sweet. I asked for light syrup. So this was a bummer. I'm not one to NOT drink coffee, but this one did go unfinished. The grits were amazing! Delicious choice! Lattes made to order, just right with perfect foam and temp! Apple cinnamon pecan muffin that was warm and moist. An amazing cafe! I love their blended drinks so much. I typically go for the Praline or the Pecan Ripple, but I'm always down to mix it up and try the other types. It has the right amount of coffee with a mix of sugar and flavor. I've been coming here everyday for years now. They have an amazing and kind staff. Love this hole in the wall neighborhood coffee shop. I have been here a few times but never had their breakfast. This morning I called and ten minutes later it was ready. It's so convenient that they have a drive through. They had about two cars in front of me and the girl cane outside to check on my order and when I got to the window it was all ready for me. I have had their pumpkin coffee during the fall and I cannot wait for it to come back. Overall I will def be coming back here because their food was good, service was excellent and the plus side is that it is right around my house! While visiting Marrero with my cousins, we were yelping some places for breakfast. J'aime came up as the one being the closest to our location. We ordered a few breakfast platters, some breakfast sandwich, coffees and chai lattes. Everything turned out delicious and to our surprise, very reasonably priced. Awesome little coffee shop in my 'hood - Marrero! I've only gone through the drive-thru, on my way to work, but the interior looks very well decorated and inviting. I love, love, love the drive thru. They don't have a speaker where you place your order like Starbucks, you just drive up to the window. Since we all know that making specialty coffee drinks takes time, don't worry, if there is a line the baristas come outside to take your order. This way you aren't waiting 2-3 minutes for each order to be placed and made. It's a good system. The only flaw is that new customers in the drive thru have no idea what to order, as the menu board is on the side of the shop, right before the window. I did upload a photo of the menu for anyone wanting to try this place. They of course have the staples, like cafe, or cafe au lait, priced exceptionally low. Want espresso? They have lattes, cappuccinos, and more. The flavors aren't listed on the menu, but they of course have the usual caramel, vanilla, etc. I'm sure if you ask, the baristas will be able to help you out. They are super friendly. The prices on those drinks? It's comparable to other specialty coffee shops, especially if you leave a tip for the aforementioned super friendly baristas... but you leave with a delcious caffeinated beverage, a smile, and the heart-warming feeling that comes with knowing you supported a local business. read more

A single non franchised boutique coffee stand located on Barataria Blvd in Marrero. Was once a Fox photo stand many moons ago. The coofee and servers are great. Im also a big fan of yoga pants and thanksfully , so are most of the staff :-) In the mornings, the busiest part of their day , when a vehicle line begins to form, a walking server will come out and take your orders to speed up the process. It indeed works. Very short waits for very good coffee!! I havent had the luxury of time to go inside, so I cant comment on that for now, but it looks cozy and inviting from my truck. I had an iced caramel latte which was great, I just a wish I'd had enough cash to try the breakfast sandwich because the pics on here look delicious! The cafe is very small and located in a large parking lot. Don't let the size or the long line fool you. This staff is organized and ready to roll. They send the girls outside to take orders while people wait so your drink is usually waiting for you at the window. The girls are also very sweet and everyone seems genuinely happy to be there (unlike the Starbucks by my house). I had always heard great things about them and glad I finally got to try it out.
