First time here (1/5/2026) and it was a disappointment from start to finish. I ordered a 2-shot espresso macchiato (espresso with just a small amount of foam), but I was handed what was clearly a latte--I could tell immediately just by the weight of the cup. I asked for it to be remade because it seemed like milk had been added. They remade it, but it still came back tasting like a latte with milk, not a traditional macchiato. I also ordered a double-toasted bagel with cream cheese and salmon. The bagel arrived cold, the cream cheese was in a small container on the side, and the salmon on top looked questionable and was cold. In all my years of ordering a bagel with cream cheese and salmon, it has always come out with the cream cheese on the bagel--not served separately. I even left a $3.12 tip, but the drink accuracy, food quality, and overall service weren't there. I won't be back. read more

This is a coffee shop I saw on TikTok and wanted to come try it. The place was very nostalgic and super clean! The barista was super friendly and was so patient while my friend and I decided what to get. I got a Hazelnut Cream Iced Latte and my friend got a Pumpkin Spice Latte. They were both good, and didn't have intense flavor profiles. Both drinks were $11 (not including tip). I really like this place. I've been more than a handful of times to work. It's usually pretty quiet and if a little too loud, I just go outside. First and last time ordering from Royal Blend. I was on my way to work and desperate for food. I love Cuban sandwiches and thought I'd give theirs a try. Big mistake. I paid $15 for a sandwich that was supposed to contain pork, ham, Swiss cheese, and sliced pickles. I received 2 slices of bread, ham and exceedingly dry pork. The meat did not even reach the edges of the bread. What normally are pickle slices were chunks of a deli pickle. Chunks being the operative word. Lesson learned. If I could, I would give a ZERO rating. Not only do they not listen to your order requests, when they serve one in your party and not the other, then proceed to serve 4 more guests who arrived after us..then they get your order wrong and don't want to hear how to remedy the situation. The gray haired guy (cook) gets nasty, walks away and blows you off! And for the finale, they tell you your ticket was lost! No apologies! I came here once to try a latte. I walked in and saw the menu full of so many fun flavors. I asked for the mint chocolate and the lady behind the counter said they don't have that flavor. I then asked about the swiss chocolate, and she said they have mocha. I said what about white chocolate? And she said they didn't have that either. I told her maybe they needed to update their menu and I just ordered the boring mocha coffee. They had a nice clean space, bathrooms were clean, plenty of parking, and nice little courtyard. The coffee is great. The food is good. The service is usually solid. Their breakfast menu is one of the bigger you will find around a coffee shop. Both the hot breakfast and the pastries are good. I'm partial to the breakfast bagel with a Canadian bacon. Always has a generous portion of egg on it. I love their cold drip iced coffees. Here is where I drop a star. In the mornings the crowds are big. They have a table of regulars that commandeers MULTIPLE tables daily during their busiest times. I've squeezed 6+ at a 4 top while they had 4-5 guys at a table for 12. As someone who previously made multiple trips a week there, I've dwindled to less than once a month because of this space issue and the fact that management/ownership seems fine with the rest of their customers being inconvenienced just didn't work for me. read more

My niece and split Mariginy Wrap with mesquite smoked turkey, crisp bacon, crumbled blue cheese, leaf lettuce, tomatoes, fresh avocado with aioli mayo served in spinach wrap. Been coming here way before Yelp's existence! Back in the day(18 years ago), it was a chocolate chip muffin and a frozen coffee! Today it's a quick start breakfast---eggs, bacon, toast, and those absolutely amazing cheese grits! So cheesy that I get 1/2 regular and 1/2 cheese! The staff is quick and friendly...I love how efficient they are especially when the line is out of the door! Check out the lunch menu as well! I was really excited to see this suburban branch of my favorite FQ coffee shop. Since it's in a strip mall (OK a fancy strip mall), there was plenty of parking. The menu looked really enticing but I opted for a tasty chocolate chip cooking and a large iced tea. Both were just what I needed and I was off in no time. This is a really cute cafe in Old Metairie. Although I just stopped in here for an iced coffee, this place is so much more than a coffee shop. First of all, the iced coffee I got was amazing. It had a lot of flavor, without being overpowering. I was really impressed by the menu here. They serve everything from pastries, salads and wraps to specialty sandwiches. I was tempted to try some food, but I was in a bit of a rush. The shop itself has very good atmosphere and a lot of space. Royal Blend is a great place for a cup of coffee, breakfast or lunch. This place stay busy with regular patrons and has staple coffee and tea offerings, but unlike other coffee shops, the have a great hot breakfast menu. The lunch menu is also excellent offering sandwiches, salads and soups. One of my favorite sides is the potato salad because it's made with sour cream instead of mayonnaise, which I know sounds weird, but tastes great. The prices, service and quality of food cannot be beat. It's the type of place where you can sit and chat with friends, conduct a business appointment or go it alone. My wife and I have been here before, a while back, today's visit was a bit disappointing. The lady who took our order was not friendly at all. She seemed preoccupied with finishing someone else's order so we had to tell her twice because she didn't get what we said the first time. The food was ok. I had the breakfast plate with eggs, sausage patties, cheese grits, and toast. Strangely enough, hash browns are only sold on weekends, which I disagree with. The cheese grits were probably the best part of the plate. Very cheesy, very buttery. The sausage and eggs were just standard. My wife had her plate with scrambled eggs, bacon, biscuit, and the fruit cup. The fruit cup did not look fresh by any means, although the rest of her meal was fine. Her coffee was good, and I had a Barq's bottle to drink. All in all, it was just average, which explains my average rating, but the cheese grits are definitely worth getting. We may try this place again and get different breakfast items, like an omelet or waffle. read more

My wife and go to Royal Blend, because it's the only breakfast place on Metairie Road. The eggs and bacon are fairly good, and their croissants are too, but the rest of their fare is definitely middle-of-the-road. The coffee is not good, because it's not fresh unless you're lucky. For this reason we usually order the lattes. That way we know we're going to get something freshly made. The hash browns are tasteless, and the biscuits are fair. Oh lastly the staff are a pretty sullen lot too. After saying all this I'll add that if you live off Metairie Road and you spend an hour in there you're likely to run into one or more of your neighbors. We've made several friends whom we see week after week in there lounging with their children or just hanging out. I'll end this by saying that Metairie Road NEEDS another breakfast place. Rude Baristas- last I checked a mocha was with espresso not a chocolate iced coffee. The coffee/espresso quality is weak and it tastes watered down. Literally my mocha I had them remake that the still charged me for tastes like chocolate water. As they remade it I watched as the baristas talked bad about me behind the counter to each other. I'm extremely disappointed and did not deserve to be treated like an asshole when I was politely asking for what I was paying for. Get it together. Also my panini tasted like fabuloso cleaner. Not a great way to start my day. Management please hire more experienced NICE baristas. To be treated like shit first thing in the morning is the worst way to start your day. read more

Nice little coffee shop hidden in a strip mall along Metairie Road, Royal Blend has a large selection of coffee as well as sweets and eats. The have a full kitchen with breakfast menu and some of the best desserts around. An excellent choice for a breakfast/brunch stop if your in that area. read more

When I was in high school this was the place where every girl I knew went to get coffee if they were in the Old Metairie area. It had pretty good coffee from what I remembered but I hadn't been in years. I stumbled across the Royal Blend in the French Quarter a few weeks ago and had some great coffee so I decided to stop and try this location again the last time I was on Metairie Rd. The coffee at this location was definitely not as good as the one in the Quarter. I got an iced coffee and it was pretty bitter but not horrible. I guess it really matters who's making the coffee or maybe they were stale beans or something. The price was reasonable (I think ~$3) which from what I've noticed lately is pretty cheap compared to the $5 cups of coffee everywhere else. If you're on Metairie Rd and need to stop for some coffee or food this is a decent place. read more
