Great spot in Luling to grab a coffee & delicious fresh Ceasar salad - I particularly enjoyed the chopped chicken on the salad. It was yummy and the small salad hit the spot, it was the perfect size. Service was great and order was so quick. Perfect spot to meet or work as well. Nice vibe. Great holiday specials and menu items to choose from. read more

We were out doing estate sales and needed to kill some time. We saw this place driving by and decided to stop in and get some breakfast. Its a bit off the main road, so its easy to miss. It has a large facade sign, so once you're in the parking lot, you can't miss it. Its a small place, but has ample seating. There is no table service. You go the counter, peruse the menu and order your food. They will bring it to your table. She got a cappuccino z she liked very much, I..being such the dare devil..got a glass of ice water. We both got scrambled eggs, she with cheese. Both with bacon. I got hashbrowns and croissant. Eggs were good and fresh. Bacon was good. I liked the 2 small croissants that cam already buttered. The hashbrowns were shredded, they were okay, a bit dry though. Overall, we did enjoy our visit. Staff was friendly. We would come again. read more

I stopped in at J'aime le Café for a quick latte and sandwich for the road, and I'm glad I did! This is a cheerful little spot just off the highway, and it's clearly a locals hangout. So I have mixed feelings about this place. Here's why... With the help of one of the employees I created the most perfect beverage. It's a blended green tea with soy milk and lavender. I'm obsessed with this drink. I have gotten other people hooked on this drink as well. This is where is gets iffy for me, I've tried several different flavored coffees and they all taste the same. Idk why they don't have distinctly different flavors. I just eventually stopped trying different flavors because it seemed pointless. Also, I was very disappointed in a chef salad I had recently gotten. It was very expensive. There were no boiled eggs, which I was expecting and I've never seen rolled up sandwich meat in a chef salad before. I was looking for that chunk of meat that you can bite into. There were 4 tiny grape tomatoes for a large salad. I was definitely looking for more especially with the price I paid. My sister ordered the chicken and walnut salad. That one did look very good. I'm not saying this is a bad place, but there are some things they could do better. read more

Been here many times for their coffee now and I loved it every time unlike other places the coffee here have a very strong flavor and many options for you to choose. Despite the fact that the coffee may cost a bit more than expected usually $4-$5 for a large it is definitely worth it every time I come usually because of a late take-in from school it is part I would see a long care line and inside there would also be a line. They also have food options and one of the cheaper one is the grill cheese and it's very good so if you ever come by this place you should most definitely give this place a try!!! This time, I opted in for lunch and ordered a chicken salad sandwich. It's hard for me to find chicken salad sandwiches with raisins but here it is! It definitely looks and tasts homemade. I only got a frozen coffee today (so I can tackle a dreaded Walmart trip), but I'll definitely be back to try other menu items. The workers are still learning, so be patient! The place is clean & bright, the machines were all spotless, and everyone was smiling and friendly. I love the hours here, especially that JLC is open on Sunday! We started with coffee and mimosas. Just a note they do have bottomless mimosas for $19. For my meal I had the chicken and biscuits. The biscuits were made from scratch. The chicken was juicy and delectable. It was glazed with a pepper jelly sauce. The waitress says it was made in house and the peppers were grown on property. The breakfast potatoes were so crisp and delicious. Our meal also came with a side of fruit, which was a nice finish to the meal. The staff was so friendly, and the owner even came over to say hello. We were allowed to walk around the property after breakfast to view the historic grounds. The plantation was built in 1790. The new owners have done an amazing job restoring it to its original beauty.

While bringing our drinks to the table, A. our server, had two of the four glasses break on the and go all over including the glass. She went on to give us the two glasses of tea that were not broken on the tray and we told her they probably had shards of glass in them too so she returned about 10 minute later with fresh drinks. She took our orders and all but five of us received our food, she said they made a mistake on the salad and would be remaking it. Not a problem initially but she came back ten minutes later and said we are remaking the salad. Everyone at the table had their food and finally after about twenty-five minutes my entree salad came out while everyone else was finishing up. The consensus at our table was the food was not as good as previous visits. Not sure why, but parts of dishes were cold, some were soggy. We did have to ask for appetizer and soup dishes to be removed after the entrees were delivered as well as tea refills. There were only three tables being served during our time there. Not too busy! We hope this was a one time thing with the service and food quality, Ormond is a gem and I would like to return but will be hesitant for future options when dining out.

They always seem to be "closed" or "closing" when certain people want to order from them. Take your money somewhere else POC.

I saw the shop cashier and owners knew a lot of the customers who dropped in. Most of their drinks are definitely on the sweeter side (compared to norcal). If I were to return I'd definitely want to try some of the white chocolate drinks, but I'd definitely have to be wary of the sugar levels. Overall I left satisfied as staff was friendly and drink came fast.

I must admit, I only decided to try it because a girl on tik tok said they have the best honey mustard, so glad I listened to her recommendation. I was recommended to try adding chicory (a classic New Orleans touch from back in the day when coffee was stretched), but I'm still on the fence about it. I ordered Brown Sugar Shaken Espresso with oat milk and I am not the biggest fan of it. There was a weird sour after taste to the coffee which I am unsure where it is coming from. I imagine if it was a little sweeter, it may have been more enjoyable. When I sat down to start on some work, I tried to connect to the cafe wifi, having seen the password posted on a sheet of paper near the counter. The wifi gave me and my friend a couple issues when trying to connect. After about 5-10 minutes of errors and no internet signals, we decided to use out hotspots. We were eventually able to use the wifi after maybe 30 minutes, so if you are able to find a connection, it is fine but if you are unable to, it can be frustrating.
