    Crab Croissant, White Bean Cassoulet

Le Petit Bleu is a the cutest cafe' by Commander's Palace, adorned in "Tiffany Blue." You can place an order online or at the counter; however, seating is very limited. I particularly love the Crab Croissant. The croissant is flaky and soft and the crab salad is delicious and full of lump crab. However, for those who prefer a lot of flavor, you might want a bit more seasoning. I also absolutely love the White Bean Cassoulet, as the flavor is bold and the soup is soothing. I also had a mimosa and appreciate the generous pours here. This is the cutest spot to dip into if you can grab a seat.

(10/09/2025 visit) I dropped by on a whim, after waiting too late to grab a reservation at Commander's Palace while I was in town. The atmosphere was bright and cheerful, and the young man at the counter was very helpful and friendly. I ordered the turtle soup, which was delicious and an experience unique to the area, so I would highly recommend it. The "Creoletta," which was their updated, French bistro take on a Muffaletta, was an unfortunate miss for me; I think this was a situation if "subtraction by addition" - the classic sandwich was is close to perfect on its own, and shouldn't be altered in such a dramatic way. For dessert, I enjoyed the bananas foster crepe, as well as a taste of my friend's strawberry and cream crepe - both were very tasty, and will hit the spot, especially if you're a crepe fanatic.

Absolutely adorable little French cafe with incredible coffees, delicious breakfast and a delightful little gift shop! I had the best time visiting and my biscuit sandwich was simply amazing- such a soft flaky biscuit- one of the best I've ever had! A must visit, and right by Lafayette cemetery.

Ok.... Just ask for "Stephani" special, from YELP!! What a refreshing and delightfully fulfilling treat! GO CREP-ZY, with the chocolate ganache crepe topped with Strawberries & drizzle ... a La' mode!! The strawberry bitters bring a lightness to the rich chocolate creamy filling. The crepe was freshly made with a light spongy texture with dreamy vanilla hints. AHHHH, just jump off the trolly and GET HERE!!! Cute Little Decor & excellent service at the counter!!

Lovely place. It's so quaint and welcoming. I love the fresh look of the vibrant turquoise colors. I had the grilled cheese with added ham. I could tell the ingredients are very good quality however I didn't enjoy it very much for the fact that there was a lot of sauce in the sandwich. It was just too much and it gave the sandwich a thick, gunky texture. The bacon croissant sandwich was delicious. They used a thick cut of bacon and it was perfectly cooked. Their hot latte was delicious. If it wasn't for all that sauce in the grilled cheese it would have been 10/10!

Wonderful little tiny creperie and cafe. The crepes are made infront of you and look & taste amazing. Wonderful vibe and perfect place to stop on Sunday morning.

Absolutely wonderful! It's got the same bright vibes as Commanders Palace yet more relaxed. It's counter service and there is limited seating, but we got lucky to get a spot because we wanted to try a few things! We ordered 2 coffees, the turtle soup, the bean cassoulet, the banana foster crepe and the Cajun crepe. The banana foster crepe is amazing and served with a delicious vanilla ice cream that I loved! The turtle soup with the sherry was definitely my favorite bite, it's the same as at Commanders Palace which I had had years ago and it was even better than I remembered!

Don't let the name fool you: it may be Le Petit, but it's got tons to offer! They're known for their crepes but they do offer sandwiches, lattes and other breakfast, lunch AND dinner items. I wasn't too hungry so I shared a bananas faster crepe with Mom. It was a bit too sweet for me - not on them, though, that's how they serve it. But the crepes were nicely done as it had a bit of fluff. But just a warning: diabetics be aware! There are other options and they offer something for everyone. They are busy and they are popular. Peeps line up to score one of few tables. This says a lot. (It really is a small-spaced eatery, so if waiting is not your thing, plan accordingly.) Located in the Garden District across the street from Lafayette Cemetery No. 1. You won't miss it. Next time I visit, I'll most likely go for their more savory bites!

Cute cafe in garden district! The crab croissant was very light and refreshing and the roast beef debris was also a delicious choice. The staff is very friendly and kind. There are only 4 tables so keep in mind you may have to wait or expect a quick bite. Their coffee was also pretty good as well.

Such an adorable cafe! Perfect place to stop in for a delicious breakfast. The workers were accommodating and helpful when asked about some NOLA trip ideas in the area. Very very good food to start the day - and simple

Dropped by for a quick coffee while I was waiting for my Commander's Palace reservation time! Did not stay long but would love to come back to try some of their food menu items!

    Croissant with crab salad.

I visit New Orleans every few months and I used to love the croissant with crab salad here. When I first tried it in December of 2024, it was enough for two people to share. A hearty serving of crab salad, greens and avocado. The croissant was flakey, not dry and delicious. The dressing had a perfect tang and we came back the next day for another one. Today I was seriously disappointed. The croissant was small, hard and not flakey. It seemed half the size, barely any greens or avocado. I planned my hop on hop off bus travels to get there to be super disappointed. For $21 plus a latte. I spent nearly $40 with tip. Sadly not worth the effort.

Le Petite Bleu is a charming little café/creperie/marché inspired by owners Ti Adelaide Martin & Lally Brennan's travels to Paris with Ms Ella Brennan. Adjacent to Commander's Palace, it's a quaint spot for breakfast or lunch - offering signature dishes and classics from its sister restaurant. Also available are pastries, coffee, cocktails, and packaged items to go. There's a section with merchandise and memorabilia. You can even purchase Commander's Palace branded champagne. There are a few tables inside and the décor is lovely - featuring marble countertops, blue & white patterned walls and tile floors. After walking around the Garden District, I stopped in to get a buttermilk biscuit to take home. It came with whipped butter and real maple syrup. The biscuit was big & thick. Most definitely a meal in itself. It was crumbly on the edges and soft & dense in the middle. I could taste the buttermilk. It was so good and even better when warmed in the toaster over and topped with the whipped butter and maple syrup. Yum! I could eat this for breakfast every day and be happy.

If I were rating atmosphere alone- 3 stars would be generous…read more I am rating product and service because adding "ambiance", would do those who work here and their product a disservice. It takes a while to get your order because of low staffing. That said, when you get it of course it's beautiful and tastes great. Sitting just around the corner from Bourbon St. and the hustle and bustle energy that you walk thorough to get here- walking in was disappointing. It's a large open space with seating- and it's QUIET. No background music. It gives late night diner vibes and honestly, that's too bad. Adding music, upbeat- doesn't have to sound like a club but music and having more energy between staff and customers would greatly improve the experience and I believe, increase business. If there were some Fats Domino or 90s R&B flowing out of speakers and staff were smiling, upbeat, dancing etc. it would give more "legendary" experience verses midnight diner vibe. That alone made me not want to come back. Not everyone wants to drink alcohol so stopping to sit for a well made artistic milkshake is a great option. The energy brings down the vibe and experience. Match the ambiance, service and vibe to your menu and 5 stars all day.

This is a cute little place in the French Quarter that I feel is typically woefully understaffed…read morefor what they provide. The staff is always nice, but I feel that they are always so stressed to get the product out. The shakes are so overpriced. The small size is $1 less than twice the size. Now, you can share these delicious shakes with a friend or loved one (either size) but with tip, you're still spending $20 on one shake. Because the shakes are so elaborate and intricate, you're going to wait about 15-20 minutes per shake, even if you're the only ones there. I would love to give them more stars because it is such a delicious experience, but only have one to two people working is a very hard line to draw if you want customers to be patient/happy.
