Two Eggs Breakfast, 10/10
Ming L.

Fatma's is a cozy corner indeed! Located a just south of I10 and north of the French Quarter, Fatma's is a local establishment that seems to drive both tourists and locals alike. We ended up ordering almost everything on the breakfast menu including a variety of coffee drinks and were very pleased. Most of the dishes have a very light feel, indicative of fresh ingredients and relatively light seasoning. It was a good breakfast to counterbalance an otherwise very hearty trip of Cajun food in New Orleans and we felt all the better for it. Everything is counter service and I will say the service is a bit slow in like a local, everyone is working at a happy pace kind of way. The Two Eggs Breakfast pictured was definitely one of the favorite - very flavorful with the egg poached in tomato sauce but still not heavy. My favorite part was a wiser woman sitting in the corner of the restaurant crotcheting something next to a chill cat. Good times for all.

Such an amazing restaurant with the most kind staff. Locally owned with great, quality food. They always have calming jazz music playing. I can't speak highly enough of this place. The ambiance is very cozy and eccentric. Plenty of places to sit and eat both inside and outside. The food was amazing! I got the egg sandwich with sausage and it was one of the best breakfast sandwiches I've had. The salmon lux bagel was very fresh and the cream cheese was really good. Please go visit this place if you're nearby.

Chicory French press, shakshuna, iced tea and king cake!

Amazing baklava and chocolate baklava, and my child got her first slice of king cake, and they gave her the baby! Awesome shakshuna too and lovely, living-room cozy kinda vibe. A wonderful morning spot for local dog-watching with the resident cat.

Fatma's is a true hidden gem coffee shop located in the NOLA Treme neighborhood. I love the vibe of this place and service is always outstanding here. It's. true family own business and the food is also great.

Breakfast biscuit sandwich

They have a delicious breakfast biscuit sandwich here! The vibe is super cozy with a cat sleeping next to a grandma who is knitting near the entrance! Solid iced coffee and hot coffee as well.

The cutest corner breakfast spot with the best hospitality and the most yumlicious breakfast sandwiches and coffee! If you haven't stopped in you're missing out.

Turkish Coffee with a Turkish Delight
Maya D.

Cozy, cute little place! I felt like I was at home and could just sit there on a nice chilly day and warm up. The Turkish coffee was good, it was our first time trying it. The owner also gave us 1 Turkish delight to eat with the coffee, which was a nice touch. It was my first time having Turkish delight. I've always wondered what it tastes like since Edmund was so willing to give up his siblings and Mr. Tumnus for an endless amount. It wasn't worth giving up my family but it was a nice treat. The cheese danish was good, but tasted commercialized, like from Costco. I was expecting something homemade...it was still good though! Her baklava was very good! That was clearly homemade and much appreciated. The papaya jam we bought from her was so delicious! Make sure buy jam from her. Such a cozy place, will return!

Out of the way and down a little rough street. There is street parking at least. It's on the corner of Ursuline and Robertson. They do charge 3.8% for using a card, which you find out after your card is run through, always punishing plastic card users. Cozy and weathered spot. Converted old house. We ordered the Turkey, cheese, egg and tomato breakfast sandwiches on croissant (comes typically on a biscuit), fattoush salad; oat milk latte and a green hot tea. $45.83. Skip the green tea, doesn't taste very deep in green tea flavors after steeping a while now. Oddly tasted like Lipton tea. Drinks were out quickly. The food takes a bit longer, expect about 25 minutes or more. The oat milk latte is fine, tastes as expected. The first breakfast sandwich came out on biscuits. The staff had to take them back and put them onto croissants. The fattoush salad is good, comes with olives, peppers, feta and parsley too. The salad is quite good. The croissant Turkey breakfast sandwich is tasty. The croissant is buttery. Service is warm, food is good. Not liking the credit card charge much though.

We started off with the appetizer plate which was large and offered a tapas variety of appetizers including dolmas, falafel, hummus, baba ganoush and others. the appetizer plate was good with good flavors, and the only suggestion would be better bread. for the main course we got spinach pies and three meat plate. the three meat plate was plentiful of meat and was a good portion and good flavors. the spinach pie came two and was decent but the flavor was average and i've had better elsewhere. overall good flavor, good portion and overall good experience

I wish I'd ignored the ambiance and just gone to another spot. The server/hostess was friendly and it really is a great location and perfect space. I ordered the chicken shawarma wrap with tzaziki and a Lebanese tea. I waited a little while and everything came out together, no water, so I was ready for a beverage. The wrap was a tortilla so nothing special and the shawarma just didn't have any flavor. They may have forgotten the tzaziki or that was lacking in flavor too. I'll probably stick with shawarma on the go or other spots in the area going forward. A side or fries would have been a good addition too. I saw on my way out that fries were included with the shawarma wrap as a lunch special of the day but I guess they left that out for mine. The tea wasn't my favorite. It had a strong chemical taste (maybe red dye) and few pine nuts. Not my favorite meal but maybe other meats are better. This one left me wanting.

We had a great experience and already have it on the list of go-tos when we are back in the city, as we return fairly often. First off, that bread. My gosh, I could have just sat for an hour and eaten it alone. I love that it just keeps coming too - we never once had to ask for more; by the time we were finishing up the pieces there, another set was delivered. Heaven. We had not one bad thing. The ikra was the surprise of the salatims/dips - so good - and the muhammara was excellent as well. That fried chicken hummus was perfect - so creamy and a bit of a different texture than most other hummus, but it worked. We tried the lamb kebabs and crispy halloumi - both of which were solid; however, when they say small plates, they mean small. I thought the serving sizes were a bit tiny. Nonetheless, we were full before even making it to the larger dinner plates and settled on the chocolate tart and knafeh cheesecake for dessert; honestly, I could have done without both. They weren't bad, but they weren't very flavorful to me. Definitely a 5-star, but if it wanted to be a 10-star, I would say a bit larger portions, better desserts, and more friendly service (he did his job but didn't really seem like he wanted to be there). Go now!

All of the local Turkish community have been elated that we finally had an authentic Turkish restaurant in the area. When recently sold it to their friends, we were a little concerned if the restaurant would maintain the quality of the food and the service.Well, let me tell you that last night all my fears were alleviated. For the past few days, I have been hosting some Turkish friends and ee were trying different restaurants, I have been trying to expose them to some of our local cuisine. Last night they wanted to try Istanbul Grill even though they normally eat at some of the best restaurants in Türkiye. Our dinner resulted in excellent experience because we were greeted warmly with a typical Turkish hospitality. We had the meze combo and mixed grill plate. We had the Turkish baklava, baked muhallebi, and künefe for desert. The food was top notch. My Turkish guests rated the food five stars. So, thank you very much Istanbul Grill, because you are not just a restaurant but representative of our culinary and hospitality culture.

Ordered the lamb kebab which comes with two sides- of your choice--I selected bulgar and salad. The entree also came with bread--thicker and toasted, and two sauces. It is actually very chilly so another heads up if you choose to sit there anyway. Lol. Yelp says this place is Turkish. But... the menu did not reflect that. Service was okay. It got better as the meal went on but still left much to be desired. For the price, both food and service should have been much better. Smoky eggplant - 5.5/10 for the price, I expected more than just a smear on the plate. I don't have a picture, but I was a little surprised at how little was served. It was okay, had some mushrooms on top, and served with garlic bread. We ordered roti on the side to eat with it, but don't think it was needed. You'd be better off going next door to Shaya for a dish like this. Crudo - 8/10 this was tasty. Small portion. Really enjoyed the crispy quinoa on top. Grilled cabbage - 1/10 this was not appetizing. The cabbage was over grilled. It was very mushy and had no bite. Also said it comes with chimichurri... and I've never had creamy chimichurri, it was more like a tzatziki. Grilled pastrami - 8.5/10 best dish we ordered. Ate it as lettuce wraps. Came with pickled cauliflower, some mint, other herbs, and lettuce. Pork chop - 7/10 juicy, cooked a good medium rare. Had a smoky BBQ sauce, but not like an elevated bbq sauce. Tasted more like something you could get at the grocery store. Served with a squash salad which complemented the dish well.
