Great neighborhood spot in Algeirs point. Food was delicious and came out so fast, had a matcha latte and that was good also, walls are covered in art and table outside under the awning we took advantage of on this nice spring morning. The biscuit was buttery and flakey and the sausage gravy wasn't too heavy.

Loved this place! I only had an espresso but the staff is amazing, the con panna was soooo good and it was a fun little place. Very busy so it must be THE place to be in Sunday mornings.

Kind of like the Cheers bar but with coffee and breakfast, This neighborhood gem is nestled in the heart of Algiers Pointe. If you come here often enough, they'll start calling you by your name. There can be quite a line, but miraculously a table always seems to open up once your order is placed at the counter. Seating both inside and out. Loved by locals and visitors alike this place offers something for everyone. Just coffee and a muffin? Full Breakfast? French Toast? Pancakes? Bagel and Lox? Oatmeal or Yogurt & Fruit? and a ton of specialty Breakfast combos, Like the Atchafalya which features crawfish Etouffee over grit with eggs, yum! or my personal favorite the Katrita their version of Huevos Rancheros which can be ordered as a vegetarian option too. Don't want breakfast, they also offer a selection of Sandwiches which are equally delicious. (That menu is taped on the counter) Whether you have simple tastes or fancy some local flavor Tout de Suite will not disappoint. Art by local artists is offered for sale too.......and If you look around you might spot a movie star or two or a famous musician. I did this particular day and left with a full belly and stars in my eyes.

Beautiful old building with lots of local art on the walls. Great southern comfort food. Huge cups of coffee and tea. Eggs were perfectly cooked. The pancakes are really fluffy and the boudin was amazing. Loved the creamy grits as well. You will be full. Order at the counter and they bring your food. The staff was very courteous and gave me a hot water refill for my tea.

Cute lil cafe by our Airbnb. You order at the counter and they bring you your food. The pancake mix as yummy and the crawfish etouffe was pretty good. They had coffee there and pastries. Was very happy the restaurant was here.

This is one of those places you want to gatekeep because it's just so good! Hands down my favorite breakfast spot. My go to is the Katrita which is the huevos rancheros. I added a banana pancake and couldn't finish it all. The restaurant is a cozy place located in the Point and the staff is awesome. Come a few times and they'll be sure to remember you.

Relaxing, delicious, neighborhood cafe with a wonderful breakfast for a good value. I got the "Poche" and my friend ordered a classic egg/sausage breakfast. Easy ordering at the counter with a huge cup of deeply rich coffee. We took the ferry over to Algiers Pt mostly to say we "crossed the Mississippi" but heard about this fabulous cafe. We were there on a weekday so the vibe was relaxed and unhurried. I leave you a picture of the "Poche" I ordered. They asked me how I wanted my eggs and I said easy over...and this is what was created.....

I'm happy this was the first place I ate for the first time in New Orleans. This restaurant is full of culture. The services was good. And the food was even better.

Food came out piping hot & crazy fast! Great cappuccino, love the atmosphere! It's a counter service spot but everyone was very friendly & came by to check the table several times.

Breakfast croissant was amazingly delish! It was warm melted cheese on the scrambled egg and toasted croissant. You have to try!

Bistro tables and local art for sale.

Delicious food, excellent service, cozy ambiance. On a quiet street, indoor outdoor seating. Great little stop on our way to a playground.

And Cafe Du Monde is a quintessential must go place in the Crescent City! Even for locals, nothing beats a plate of fresh beignets covered in powdered sugar ashes down by a nice cup of cafe au lait made with strong chickpea laced coffee. Go for the beignets and stay for the people watching. Like the food court at the Mall of America's, you'll see every walk of life come to Cafe Du Monde. You might even see a local musician or politician here. The vibe and the beignets keep people coming back. Laissez les beignets rouller!

I had the chance to come back to the city last weekend, when a good friend from my Italy days was in town for a conference. I was able to meet her to explore the city for a day, and we of course had to make room for beignets and Cafe du Monde. We almost settled for one of the locations at an indoor mall, but we stuck out a 20-30 min walk from where we were to make it to the original at the French Quarter. Since it was just two of us, we were able to get seated pretty quickly even though there was an expected Saturday morning line. I am also glad my friend had cash because they STILL only accept cash for payment. No credit cards, which is wild at any US establishment nowadays. We also tried to only order one plate of beignets (come in a set of 3) and one coffee each but the server came back with two beignet plates and coffees. $20 with tax included! The beignets themselves were scrumptious, warm, and delicious ofcourse. So I suppose worth any inconvenience that we may have experienced. However, the tables are left incredibly messy. It is true that our server did wipe off our table before we sat down but it is embarrassing to see patrons create such a mess to begin with.

We went all in: shrimp and grits that were downright phenomenal (I'm still thinking about them), a goat cheese omelette that was so good it made me question all my past breakfast decisions, and pancakes with berries that tasted like they were made by someone who genuinely cares about your happiness. The coffee? Strong enough to fix your life. The service? Warm, attentive, and somehow psychic--they just knew when we needed refills or another mimosa (which, for the record, felt less like a drink and more like a lifestyle choice). Honestly, this place doesn't just serve breakfast--it gives you a reason to get out of bed. 10/10 would wake up early again... and I do not say that lightly.

My last review was in 2020, and I'm happy to report that the quality and atmosphere remain top notch. Whether you are looking for a morning pick up or an evening wind-down, this spot covers all the bases. Their beignets and coffee are a classic must have, and I can personally vouch for their Americano. It is consistently well made and delicious. They also have a great selection of beer and cocktails if you're looking for something a bit stronger. What really sets this place apart, though, is the hospitality. We have always had great interactions with the staff, but a special shout out goes to Jimmy, whom we met this past week. He was incredibly kind and hospitable, truly making us feel right at home.
