I was in the drive through and ordered a hot coffee. When I pulled up to pay, they said it was $6 something. I asked why all I ordered was just hot coffee, which is $2.80 at their billboard menu. The girl in the window said you ordered a latte. I said no, just the hot coffee. Then her and another woman looked displeased. They closed the window and then finally gave me my coffee for which I paid $4.17. When I was getting my coffee, I heard them laughing. When I pulled off and tried my coffee, it was extremely sweet. I think they added either sugar or a lot of syrup on purpose to "get back at me." I was late for work so I did not go back. It's terrible and should not have happened. I don't think I am going back to this CC's. For all they know I could have been diabetic and died from the amount of sugar they put in my drink. It's uncalled for. read more

Visited this coffeehouse on a rainy Saturday. I was in the mood for some good chicory coffee and I knew for sure they offered it. I decided to go inside because I had no idea how to order what I wanted. The young lady that check me out guided me through the ordering process. The barista made my cup and asked if I wanted him to leave room for me to add milk or of I wanted him to add the milk. I decided to add the milk myself to my liking and my sweetener of choice. The entire staff was so nice and helpful. I think I will start visiting them for a cup of coffee before every movie I go to see. The chicory is so good and awakening! This is a pretty large coffee shop with a finny parking lot! There's a tiny bit of parking in the front, and a drive through lane with a little bit of parking lot in the back if you follow the drive through lane. The coffee is consistent with other CCs, so if you like CCs coffee, you'll be fine. In general, CCs over-roasts their beans, so the carbon from the burnt beans is noticeable. But hey, that's what you expect here. They also have a large community table inside with six high-top chairs and plenty of outlets. That's pretty convenient for working on your laptop. I have been to this location several times. The parking can be tricky as the only parking is in the back and are small. I have always been nervous about parking here as I never know if I will be able to get in or out. Drive thru is fast enough. They have a wide variety of drinks, and I have never had a bad one. Though the frozen coffees take some time to become liquid enough to actually drink. The food is also good. Prices are reasonable and a tad cheaper than Starbucks. read more

I had an our to kill before meeting some friends so I stopped in for a cup of tea and a snack. Unfortunately, they were out of the tea I wanted so I settled for another type. And the spinach-feta pastry that I had was yummy; I wish it could have been toasted rather than heated in the microwave. The staff was nice and apologetic about the missing tea. The space indoors is cozy, but the tables are pretty well spaced. The front patio area is spacious...if sitting near Veterans Hwy is your sort of thing. So let's discuss why this shop gets 3 not 4 stars. The parking lot SUCKS. Because the space has a drive through, parking spaces are almost non-existent. Love CC's coffee, but after some consideration, I have a bone to pick with what they serve up as a cake pop. They do not actually have cake pops, they have cake "balls". A "pop" invokes the word "popsicle", which means it is on a stick. That stick is very important. So important that I won't be visiting the drive through for the next 10 years if my kids are with me. Because this was some of the snarkiest service I've received in a long time. --- --- --- I hate to kill a place based on one, young employee that probably doesn't even work there anymore, but... this just couldn't go any other way. You know those people that sense a younger, laid-back customer, and feel that they can be a bit snarky because of it? But then after about 6-7 comments, I was pretty sure that she was just incredibly rude, and not worthy of employment. I've got nothing against CC's in general. In fact, I gave them a 5-star review a while ago for the location on Esplanade in New Orleans. But the barista at this location (Veterans Ave - a white young woman around 3:50 pm on November 26, 2022) is a bully and threw a temper tantrum not only at me, but at everyone who dared enter the coffeehouse. She yelled at everyone for no reason whatsoever, violently threw my drink on the counter, and scoffed at every customer. She didn't look mentally stable, and looked like she was on the verge of a psychotic VIOLENT episode. I felt very uncomfortable. read more

If I could give this business a zero, I would. I have always had excellent service there until last night 12/16 at approximately 7:15pm when our ghost tour stopped on a bathroom break. The baristas were horrible, screaming at the customers, being hostile. She was yelling "no tip, or purchase, you can not use the bathroom". She didn't even allow people time to make a purchase. She tried to enter the ladies bathroom using a key while one of the tour group when in the restroom. The barista then started back tracking saying you can tip a penny. I'm from Baton Rouge, where I basically lived at CC's. Now that I live on the Westbank, I only get delicious mochasippis when I drive to this location. Hooray for CC's; boo for not having one closer to home. The staff is always friendly, helpful, and efficient. There's free wifi and lots of space to spread out and study or read. I come here to read, and somehow, even when it's empty, a group of people always end up sitting near me in order to have a lively discussion. I could be the only customer there, and a bunch of talkers always manage to sit near me. There is an extra seating area on the large deck in front, which really impressed me when I first saw the place. The parking lot is tiny, but I've always managed I find a spot. I've never had an issue with long lines, and my order is always correct and yummy. If you're curious about nutrition info, a barista will let you look at a binder that has everything you need. This is my go-to coffee spot when heading across the lake so that I don't have to get out the car and can be pleasantly caffeinated driving on the bridge. I've never had a problem with their drive-thru service, and I like that they have a trashcan at the end of the drive-thru I can shove a bunch of random crap into that's been building up in my car. Every once in a while I get lucky and find a parking spot if I'm hiding out in Metairie and want to get some work done. They recently followed suit with the renovations like the other locations, and for this one it really works. They now have a high table with a copious amount of outlets that's really copacetic for working at. The service is pleasant, and doesn't come after you if you haven't bought a coffee in 4 hours and are still sipping on the same one. While this isn't necessarily my coffee shop of choice for working, the drive-thru is clutch, and I'll probably always be a frequent drive-thru grande hot mocha in Metairie girl. read more

Never thought CC's would be the first yelp review I ever make. I ordered a super grande mocha cappuccino with a cookie (not heated). They gave me 1/3 a cup full of the cappuccino and heated my cookie. They weren't busy at all. Cookie I'm not upset about but 1/3 cup full? Really? Like I wouldn't notice as soon as you hand it to me? Up north, I have this stigma against chain coffeehouses, even small local chains akin to CCs. Down here, though, the local chains are sometimes better than the individual local joints. That is definitely true here. My parents live within short walking distance so when I'm in town I always come out once or twice. Plenty of seating on the inside and a nice deck on the outside (even if it looks out onto the beautiful promenade that is Veterans Blvd [cough cough mega-not]). The coffee is great, I recommend the wonderful New Orleans Blend. Free wifi and lots of studying/working folks so the place isn't ever overblown with chatter. Protip: after hours, park in the Michelin next door (after they close, obviously). One time I was on a date (I think it was a date, I'm pretty sure; but that's a different story) and there were some crazy sketchy things going on in the lot behind the store. Woof. read more

I like going here because they are open until 11 every night, and there are lots of people there with their laptops open working quietly. There are also small groups that meet there. they have lots of outlets for you to plug in your laptop. If one of the prime spaces isn't available, you can sit down some where else, and wait a few, and a space will open soon. I expect a long drive thru line at a coffee joint in the middle of the morning rush but this was ridiculous! I ordered 2 iced coffees and 2 breakfast sandwiches. Another local coffee place, which shall remain nameless, automatically puts milk in the coffee which was unexpected but I assumed it was a local thing but at CCs it came black, full to the brim and not a word about whether or not I needed milk. Ok...no biggie...I can go inside and fix that up. Once inside I finished the half & half and returned it to the counter so the next customer would have a full container. My goodness the nasty snarl I got from the young lady behind the counter. Well I'm sorry little miss I won't do your job for you next time. So back to the car I go with my coffees in hand and ready to dig into my breakfast sandwich. Come to find out they slapped that thing together like something made by a preschooler. The typical coffee house. Coffee, pastries and such. Staff was OK. Somewhat unprofessional in that they stood behind the counter talking loudly to each other about things not related to work or the task at hand. I ordered a frozen coffee (what they call a Mochasippi) and a bagel. Overall a decent experience, nothing wrong. Just so anyone who may visit here knows, parking at this location is TERRIBLE! There are a total of approximately 12 spaces, and 2 of those are handicapped. Be prepared to hunt around or use the drive thru. read more

Yumm! I love my Turtle Mochasippis! I'm not a fan of Starbucks and will always drive a few extra miles to find a CC's. I love this CC's because it has a drive-thru! It's also a nice location to hang out since they have a nice deck on the front. They have wi-fi too. Parking can be tough since they have a small parking lot. They have all the usual coffee drinks and in the past few months added some basic iced coffees (I guess they had to since McDonald's has been making a dent in the coffee business). They usually have good cookies but their baked goods haven't been good in recent years (they were once baked locally and they switched and have never been the same). read more

I will start this review by saying I've never been inside, because I always drive-thru before work in the mornings... It's pretty fabulous. The service is always really sweet and authentic. The coffee is well-priced and well-made, and the breakfast sandwiches are "lean" which is trendy and really tasty, plus you don't feel terrible when ordering them and devouring them. I'm a regular at CC's drive through in the mornings. I prefer their coffee over Starbucks any day. I also get the guilt free breakfast sandwich which is actually pretty tasty. My only complaint is that their lattes are not heated enough. So, I ask them to make it extra hot. Then it is ok. Mind you, I like coffee searing hot and am only happy if it burns my lips. The staff are very friendly but quick on the draw to repeat your coffee order before you have a chance to tell them what else you want to order. But overall they are nice and serve you quickly and professionally. I sat inside once. Seemed fine but I'm not a "hang around for hours" type person when it comes to coffee shops. Oh my god, this is the worst CCs I have ever been to. Every time I have a bad experience here, you'd think that I would learn and not go here anymore. They are SO slow, not efficient in the drive through at all, leading to huge lines. One time their credit card machine was down and I, cash phobic, was not told this until AFTER I waited in the drive through and ordered. Seriously? It's like they have no standards here. I have had great experiences, as far as quality of customer service and quality of product, at other CCs. That being said, the employees at this CC's are always very nice and every once in a while I have an incident-free experience, but it's just not worth the headache to go here. read more
