a hand holding a cup of coffee

Visited this coffeehouse on a rainy Saturday. I was in the mood for some good chicory coffee and I knew for sure they offered it. I decided to go inside because I had no idea how to order what I wanted. The young lady that check me out guided me through the ordering process. The barista made my cup and asked if I wanted him to leave room for me to add milk or of I wanted him to add the milk. I decided to add the milk myself to my liking and my sweetener of choice. The entire staff was so nice and helpful. I think I will start visiting them for a cup of coffee before every movie I go to see. The chicory is so good and awakening! The ambiance is nice to go and study, or have a coffee date! Until we meet again!!

This is a pretty large coffee shop with a finny parking lot! There's a tiny bit of parking in the front, and a drive through lane with a little bit of parking lot in the back if you follow the drive through lane. The coffee is consistent with other CCs, so if you like CCs coffee, you'll be fine. In general, CCs over-roasts their beans, so the carbon from the burnt beans is noticeable. But hey, that's what you expect here. They also have a large community table inside with six high-top chairs and plenty of outlets. That's pretty convenient for working on your laptop. They have free wifi as well.

This is supposed to be a blend of four shots of espresso. Asked and paid for Almondmilk, but they don't care and still use half and half

In the last three visits to purchase the same drink (Espresso 22), I have received it incorrect all three times. I'm not sure if the barista know or understand the ingredients or even care enough to get it right by reading what's being ordered. To say it's the only one on Vets, you would think it should set an example for CC's (I always go to the Met. road location almost 5x out the week now whereas before once a week to get the same drink. Never had any inconsistencies.)

I have been to this location several times. The parking can be tricky as the only parking is in the back and are small. I have always been nervous about parking here as I never know if I will be able to get in or out. Drive thru is fast enough. They have a wide variety of drinks, and I have never had a bad one. Though the frozen coffees take some time to become liquid enough to actually drink. The food is also good. Prices are reasonable and a tad cheaper than Starbucks.

Absolutely love CC's! The staff is always so nice! Of course the line is always long when I go (around 9 a.m) but they move fairly quick! I always order a whites chocolate Mochasippi which is my fav! The spinach & feta croissant is also my fav! To me CC's coffee is one of the best!

I had an our to kill before meeting some friends so I stopped in for a cup of tea and a snack. Unfortunately, they were out of the tea I wanted so I settled for another type. And the spinach-feta pastry that I had was yummy; I wish it could have been toasted rather than heated in the microwave. The staff was nice and apologetic about the missing tea. The space indoors is cozy, but the tables are pretty well spaced. The front patio area is spacious...if sitting near Veterans Hwy is your sort of thing. So let's discuss why this shop gets 3 not 4 stars. The parking lot SUCKS. Because the space has a drive through, parking spaces are almost non-existent. And all the nearby businesses have threatening signs about parking in their lots with dire consequences promised.

    Mochasippi!!!!

The Mochasippi is a must to try! This is such a a treat. I wish I would have sat down and enjoyed it, but I was traveling. The next time I'm in New Orleans, I will definitely take time to enjoy the drink and atmosphere.

Im pretty sure its actually purple food coloring and not actual ube, the only reason why I'm not placing a 1 star is because the first time I bought a cake from this place, it was actually good (some coffee cake). This bakery made decent cakes till I tried YOUR UBE CAKE. If you want to copy trends and mix asian culture into your goods, then DO IT PROPERLY, or at least research on how to make ube. Try making ube jam instead and place it in the cake, that would taste WAY better. Also the yellow icy part inside the cake would've been delightful if it was cheese and not some random yellow piss ice. Ube is commonly topped with cheese, this bakery really missed the opportunity to actually be culturally on point. So much for Ube getting mainstream if none of these businesses get it right anyway. They always mess up asian cuisines and culture by making their "own version". Dont disrespect our ube broski (I can feel/taste the ube on the paste but it just isnt enough, it needs more) (update, i take it back. Tried it in the morning where it wasn't as cold. It was actually soft and spongy, the ube taste was stronger and it was quite delectable. Keep up the good work, i see room for improvement though)

I picked: a large fluffy maple roll. The outside reminded me of a croissant in the best way with some mild maple sweetness and the inside was moist, pillowy, and rich. I heated it up in the oven next day which made it even better. A square coconut roll... crisp and flaky on the outside with the most delightful sweet coconut cream inside and flaked almonds on top. This was my favorite. Will get multiple next time. And a pair of taro rolls. These I was most excited for as I love taro, and they weren't bad at all, but were probably my least favorite of the 3, purely because they had an eggy aftertaste. They weren't overly sweet with a nice smooth taro filling. I also tried a taro milk tea with soy milk. These normally include lavender too, but I asked for mine without. The flavor was off the charts good. Strangely it was nothing like the usual taro drinks I've tried and I couldn't place what I was tasting, but it was rich and creamy and so satisfying. Only thing that bummed me out was that I ordered boba and there wasn't any. :(

The New Orleans Iced Coffee with Chicory. Chicory is a root, that is very popular to get in coffee in New Orleans. First, I love the tiny ice cubes used in this coffee. Why doesn't every single coffee shop offer the tiny ice cubes? They keep your drink cold, while they don't take a ton of volume away from your coffee! I love the chicory flavor of this coffee! It's naturally nutty and a tiny bit chocolatey without any syrups. This area at Whole Foods has some yellow bar stools for seating options. If I was in the area I would keep an eye out for French Truck Coffee.

I ordered Brown Sugar Shaken Espresso with oat milk and I am not the biggest fan of it. There was a weird sour after taste to the coffee which I am unsure where it is coming from. I imagine if it was a little sweeter, it may have been more enjoyable. When I sat down to start on some work, I tried to connect to the cafe wifi, having seen the password posted on a sheet of paper near the counter. The wifi gave me and my friend a couple issues when trying to connect. After about 5-10 minutes of errors and no internet signals, we decided to use out hotspots. We were eventually able to use the wifi after maybe 30 minutes, so if you are able to find a connection, it is fine but if you are unable to, it can be frustrating.
