Their food is good and quick we always come here for quick bites. Their wonton soup is light and soothing, not heavy like Chinese restaurants. The com bo luc lac is pretty good as well. Service is typical like any Vietnamese restaurant, remember to order everything at once. Huge space with tons of tables and seating.

My partner ordered banh hoi thit nuong and there was a pubic hair on one of his daikon radish slices. Unfortunately, this was a to go order so I had no opportunity to tell them otherwise. This is just a PSA to anyone who orders from Minh's to take a good look at their food!

This spot is tucked away in the center of a food strip off Manhattan. You'd never know it judging from the outside but it can easily accommodate 100+. They are mostly known for their pho ga and rice dishes. We stayed on par with the course and ordered the No.1 pho ga dac biet, hu tieu thap cam, and the salt and pepper spare ribs with rice. For my non-Viet yelpers, Dac Biet is generally used to indicate a specialty or combo on a menu. Let me be one of the firsts to tell you the broth was just that -Special. Just the way grandma makes it simmered on low for hours on end. The true test lies within the color of the broth. You're looking for a broth that's clean, clear while still full of flavor. Check. Check. And Check. Hu Tieu, like pho, is a Vietnamese noodle soup. However, it is loaded with pork, shrimp, crab meat, and tiny pieces of crispy pork skins (more of that please!). The salt and pepper spare ribs were lightly seasoned. But maybe they were off having an off day I'm certainly willing to give it another try. And while the portions were perfectly sized for me, the bowls looked tiny against my 6'2 bf. The current portions doesn't really allow much room for you to add in your fixings (leafy greens and bean sprouts). However, it is worthy to note that our food was served fast and piping hot. If the weather is too hot for soup there are other options available on the menu to choose from including vegetarian. We will definitely be back for the hu tieu and the other items on the menu.

I love their Banh Canh Ga dac biet, which is not on the menu. It's like a Vietnamese udon soup with dark meat chicken. Their pho is very tasty too

Best roasted ducks ever: juicy, seasoning was just right, reasonable price. I was pleased with the service.

Mi Kho Thap Cam is so good! Must try! Their Ga Quy Phi and Vit Quay is also good. Service is 3 out of 10. Food is 8.5 out of 10.

I remember when this place used to be called Christine's Empress of China. I believe Christine was…read morethe owner back then, and now it's simply Empress of China. The name may have shortened, but the experience is still just as memorable. From the outside, you're not really sure what you're about to walk into. You get a hint of the Asian aesthetic, but you don't realize how immersive it's going to feel. Then you open the door. Right at the entrance is a koi fish pond with a small bridge over it. No, you can't walk across the bridge, but the koi are real, and you walk right by them on your way to the dining room. It immediately sets the tone. The dining room itself feels like you've stepped straight into China. The decor, the lighting, the details, everything transports you. It matches the cuisine and elevates the entire dining experience. The waitresses are incredibly sweet, respectful, patient, and kind. They answered all of my questions about the menu without hesitation and made sure we felt comfortable. The service feels authentic and attentive without being rushed. I ordered the boneless chicken with vegetables, fried rice, and egg rolls. The homemade egg rolls are always my favorite. You can absolutely tell they're hand rolled and not pulled from a freezer. The boneless chicken is made with hand cut chicken breast, and the batter is soft and flaky. It almost melts in your mouth. Everything tastes fresh and thoughtfully prepared. The portion sizes are generous. It's definitely a eat now, eat later, and maybe even share with a friend kind of place. If you've only ever ordered takeout from here, you are missing half the experience. Sit down inside and take it all in. It's one thing to eat Chinese food. It's another thing to feel like you've been transported while doing it. This place leaves an impression.

The restaurant looks like it's straight out of China, one of those spots where you already know the food is about to slap just from walking in. Food: We ordered the combination fried rice, sweet and sour fried fish, handmade egg rolls, and an order of Cho's, and everything came out hot, fresh, and full of flavor. The combination fried rice was packed with meat and shrimp, well-seasoned, and not greasy. The sweet and sour fried fish was crispy on the outside and tender inside, with a perfect balance of sweet and tangy sauce. The handmade egg rolls were a standout, crispy, flavorful, and clearly made in-house, not frozen. The Cho's were also delicious and added a nice variety to the meal. Portions were generous and very satisfying, making it a great lunch spot if you're hungry. Service: The waitress was attentive and friendly, checking on us regularly and making sure everything came out quickly and correctly. The service felt genuine and welcoming, which made the experience even better. Ambiance: The restaurant has a very authentic, no-frills Chinese restaurant feel. It's simple, clean, and comfortable. the kind of place you go for good food, not fancy décor. It felt relaxed and perfect for a casual lunch with no rush. Overall: This spot is a hidden gem for real Chinese food. Great portions, bold flavors, and friendly service made for a solid lunch experience. If you're looking for authentic-tasting Chinese food that hits the spot, this place is definitely worth checking out. I'll be back to try more items off the menu.

The waiter came and took our order and the food came out quickly. There's a lunch special between 1-4pm, so we opted to try the beef cubes, fried chicken, fish, and kung pao chicken. It also comes with a gigantic egg roll filled with meat and veggies, a bowl of egg drop soup, and fried rice. It's a huge dish for a lunch special plate. Everything was delicious, but the kung pao dish and egg rolls didn't taste as authentic. We enjoyed our meal here and would come back and try different dishes next time. If you're looking for a hearty delicious Chinese or Vietnamese meal, come here and try it. You'll leave so full with leftovers as well.

It took a while for our servers to find us and when our orders were put in it took over an hour to deliver two dishes. We had to remind them and ask them multiple times when our meal would come. We were met with the response that the large event would take priority over our meals. This wasn't my fav response because it just seemed that if you have an event going on, there would be other staff to take care of their food. The wait time was really disappointing. The black pepper tofu was quite good and the lemongrass tofu was decent but would prob not get it again.
