    Combination Rice

This place has some of the best Asian cuisine on this side of the Mississippi. I enjoy their many menu options and love when I discover a new one. August Moon accepts phone orders, so I'm able to order before I arrive. They're always friendly whenever I call and come in. There's ample parking since their business hours superseded those of nearby businesses. I personally like dining there after a gym workout. It's always refreshing to have protein after a cardio session. I order so much they even know my name when I call. The ambiance is always so relaxing and I've always promised myself I'll dine in, one day. I'm honestly not a dine in person anymore. That means a lot that I even feel the urge to do so. It says a lot about their business.

    Kung pao chicken lunch special

Got the lunch special with kung pao chicken and a friend spring roll. This version of kung pao chicken was not for me. Tough chicken and the sauce did not have enough spice. Service was attentive and was refilling the drinks consistently.

First time here but It was a good meal Egg drop soup, is silky and delicious. Smoothe butter creamy flavor. I normally add more so sauce for testing this before I put salt or pepper or soy sauce. I did add a few drops and This really good. I tried one of those work steam dumplings in a grabbed it was super tasty I recommend trying at least one dumpling in the egg drop soup. Soy sauce for me is great but this allows for a less salty alternative. I got the chicken low mein and it was cooked nicely a few pieces of chicken were chewy but over all the dish had good flavor and texture. I am not a mushroom person so next time I will need to remember to ask for no mushroom. They ingredient are stated on the menu that was my mistake. The mushroom were cooked to a good tenderness. The egg roll that comes with the meal was not my favorite egg roll recipe but other may like this style.

This is a family favorite! They serve some of the freshest Chinese/Vietnamese dishes you'll ever taste. The wonton soup is the BEST!!! Prices are very reasonable and portions are a good value for the money. The restaurant has a simple, laid back feel and the staff is very friendly and welcoming. A must visit!

I had them cater for my wedding. They've done a good job and food was good and presentable. These pictures I've post are samples before my wedding.

    2/10 chicken pad Thai
    Khoalister V.

I don't visit this place often, but I know it's great for Vietnamese events. However, today I wanted to grab a late lunch here. I spent $40 for general Tao, pad Thai, and crab Rangoon. The order took 15 minutes to be made. General Tao 3/10 I went home excited to try out my food. I opened up the genera Tao and immediately was disheartened by how it looked. It did not look like your typical gen Tao. I proceeded to give it a taste. The sauce does not compare to even your average Chinese take out. I appreciate the medley of vegetables, but should just stick to broccoli. The chicken is great and not like your usual batter stuffer chicken. However, because lackluster sauce, this dish gets a 3/10 Pad Thai 2/10 I was really craving pad Thai. It's Sunday and all the good Thai places are closed. I settled for this and I regret it. The portion looked promising. The noodles looked perfect. I went in for the bite and was met with over powering peanut butter flavor. I don't care what shortcuts or tricks you use to adorn the peanut butter flavor. Normal pad Thai doesn't even have peanut butter in it. I could not even get through the next few bites. What you see in the photo was where I gave up. Customer service 0/10 I never return food I ordered, but the pad Thai was this bad that I had to muster up the strength to do so. I'm barely getting through the off putting general Tao, but I'm only calling for the pad Thai. I called the business and she asked me what was wrong. I told her my pad Thai tastes like someone put a big scoop of peanut butter in it. *gross. She proceeds to tell me pad Thai anywhere has peanut butter in it. I followed up to try to be nice as pad Thai everywhere does not put peanut butter in it and told her that I've had pad Thai everywhere and this is not it. She. Just. Hangs. Up. Welp that's what led me to this review. You may have some dishes that are good, but you definitely have many dishes that are bad. Not enough for me to continue blindly spending my money here. I gave you a chance to make it right. But here you go.

Pho ap chao Bo va cai lan. Crispy noodles topped with stir fried beef and Chinese broccoli

My favorite dish to get here is pho ap chao Bo va cai lan. It is crispy fried noodles stopped with stir fried beef and Chinese broccoli. There's a lot of seating and they are typically fast.

    Twin lobsters with noodles

We've been here many times but today wasn't our day. Our server just did the average job...bringing out the foods but no follow up and couldn't answer any of our questions. The foods were just ok, not their usual best. The fried rice was much darker and the shrimps were smaller than usual. The green beans supposed to have garlic flavor but it was very plain and soggy, over-cooked. I paid $110 for the lobsters with noodles...not worth it. Lack of flavor!! Very plain.

I remember when this place used to be called Christine's Empress of China. I believe Christine was…read morethe owner back then, and now it's simply Empress of China. The name may have shortened, but the experience is still just as memorable. From the outside, you're not really sure what you're about to walk into. You get a hint of the Asian aesthetic, but you don't realize how immersive it's going to feel. Then you open the door. Right at the entrance is a koi fish pond with a small bridge over it. No, you can't walk across the bridge, but the koi are real, and you walk right by them on your way to the dining room. It immediately sets the tone. The dining room itself feels like you've stepped straight into China. The decor, the lighting, the details, everything transports you. It matches the cuisine and elevates the entire dining experience. The waitresses are incredibly sweet, respectful, patient, and kind. They answered all of my questions about the menu without hesitation and made sure we felt comfortable. The service feels authentic and attentive without being rushed. I ordered the boneless chicken with vegetables, fried rice, and egg rolls. The homemade egg rolls are always my favorite. You can absolutely tell they're hand rolled and not pulled from a freezer. The boneless chicken is made with hand cut chicken breast, and the batter is soft and flaky. It almost melts in your mouth. Everything tastes fresh and thoughtfully prepared. The portion sizes are generous. It's definitely a eat now, eat later, and maybe even share with a friend kind of place. If you've only ever ordered takeout from here, you are missing half the experience. Sit down inside and take it all in. It's one thing to eat Chinese food. It's another thing to feel like you've been transported while doing it. This place leaves an impression.

The restaurant looks like it's straight out of China, one of those spots where you already know the food is about to slap just from walking in. Food: We ordered the combination fried rice, sweet and sour fried fish, handmade egg rolls, and an order of Cho's, and everything came out hot, fresh, and full of flavor. The combination fried rice was packed with meat and shrimp, well-seasoned, and not greasy. The sweet and sour fried fish was crispy on the outside and tender inside, with a perfect balance of sweet and tangy sauce. The handmade egg rolls were a standout, crispy, flavorful, and clearly made in-house, not frozen. The Cho's were also delicious and added a nice variety to the meal. Portions were generous and very satisfying, making it a great lunch spot if you're hungry. Service: The waitress was attentive and friendly, checking on us regularly and making sure everything came out quickly and correctly. The service felt genuine and welcoming, which made the experience even better. Ambiance: The restaurant has a very authentic, no-frills Chinese restaurant feel. It's simple, clean, and comfortable. the kind of place you go for good food, not fancy décor. It felt relaxed and perfect for a casual lunch with no rush. Overall: This spot is a hidden gem for real Chinese food. Great portions, bold flavors, and friendly service made for a solid lunch experience. If you're looking for authentic-tasting Chinese food that hits the spot, this place is definitely worth checking out. I'll be back to try more items off the menu.
