Mango smoothie, Thai tea and passion fruit mango

I'm a sucker for any rose tea so when I found out this place has it, I made my way out there. It's a bit of a drive and when you get there, you will get confused of the actual location. They are next door to a Thai restaurant but the entrance is facing the opposite. Cute little place. It took awhile for them to have my order ready bc it was just one person making it. I really wanted to try their shaves ice cream but it was getting late so I only grab a bunch of different flavor drinks to go. Ask for less ice on your drinks. ***My second time back and when I tried to update my review, I just noticed I never posted. The above review was from my first time trying them out. The second time back, I brought some friends and family to try them out. Everyone enjoyed their drinks. There was a couple sitting across from us and I heard the lady complaining that her drink had too much ice. In my opinion, the drink was a tad too sweet but that extra ice when it melted, it balanced the sweetness all out.

This is such a cute little cafe and the woman working there was very sweet. I got the lemon orange pea flower tea, I'd wasn't as sweet as I'd like so I'd try something different next time. It has a nice sitting area.

I cannot believe I waited so long to write a review for this MAGIC place! I have been visiting on a weekly basis since they opened and not a single one sweet I don't like! My favorite is their chocolate shave ice so good that I crave for it everyday! Their cake selections are fresh and delicious as well. If they have the coconut cake, please get that one. You won't regret it! My favorite drink from this place is their mojeto ( without the alcohol) they are so refreshing! The thai tea is also soso good! There's so many good ones I cannot recall the name of... If y'all ever stop by Harahan, do yourself a favor and check this place out!!

I don't review restaurants often, but we went to this place on their opening day, and everything was so good, and they were so nice, I wanted to help put the word out. My wife is a fiend for bubble tea, and she said this is the kind of flavor that most people really love. I don't like tea at all, but I like the blended taro drinks, and I was a little disappointed that they weren't doing blended drinks that day. I will forgive them, though, because it was their first day, and I ended up getting a strawberry soda that was amazing. My daughter got a strawberry shaved-ice - it looked like a sundae with all the crazy toppings it had on it - and it was delicious as well. We also got a slice of strawberry cake and a slice of coconut cake - both great. My wife went back again today and said they are making blended drinks now, but it would have been melted by the time she brought it home, so she got me a mango-passion fruit soda. I've never had a soda that good before. I don't know if they use real fruit juice, but it sure tastes like it. It's not a seltzer water with a hint of fruit flavor. It tastes like carbonated fruit juice. I am looking forward to getting my taro.

I had a previous 2 star review about the amount of ice that they put in the cup. They have since changed that. Before, it used to be more than half of the cup was filled with ice and now it's just a small scoop. I'm glad I came back. The interior is very nice and the armchairs are very comfy. Thank you for listening to your customers and for the good service. :^)

20/10. Its a small family owned business and the lady who owns it makes all your drinks really fast and she's so sweet. The desert cakes are fire too. Definitely recommend

Thai tea with tapioca pearls was tasty and sweet but not sickening so. Kinda just the perfect level. Service was quick! And she was so helpful with my questions about which bubble tea I wanted. The decor inside is super cute too. I wish I had more time to hang out and was in the area more frequently

Just the fact that they have a sugar free tea made my heart sing! The staff(owners?) were very knowledgeable and helpful and able to recommend what would be a good combination!

I went here with my coworkers for some bubble tea. I was amazed by their non-chewy bubbles (green tea, taro, Thai tea, brown sugar, etc.). Today I wanted to introduce my family to the soft thin shaved ice which texture is different from NOLA snowball. This may be the only place in NOLA with this type of shaved ice. Thanks Magic Sweets! Also, the staff has been always nice... they reminded me of Thai people's hospitality when I visited Thailand years ago

I went to try on the first day when they are grand opening, it was so extremely friendly staff and delicious drinks. I would go often if I live close to the shop. Also, bakery are gorgeous and not too sweet. If you are looking for something sweet with cozy environment don't miss this place!!! Love it

Magic fire brown sugar milk tea and brown sugar crepe cake

This was my first time coming here and I am not disappointed at all. I got a brown sugar crepe cake that is so sweet and delicious and I got the magic fire coffee brown sugar milk tea and it's amazing. It's sweet but not overly sweet. I will definitely be coming back and the lady working was so nice and sweet I had to give her a good tip. I love how she made the whole experience welcoming. I will definitely be coming back!

Taro milk ice blended w/ taro konjac boba and mango passion fruit ice blended w/ brown sugar konjac boba

This place is worth trying because it is the only boba shop in Nola that offers konjac jelly boba! This was my first time trying this type of jelly, and I love the chewy consistency of it. It's so addicting! I tried the mango passion fruit ice blended drink with brown sugar konjac boba and taro milk ice blended drink with taro konjac boba. Both drinks are so refreshing, has the right amount of sweetness, and doesn't have that artificial/powder taste. Ice blended drinks tend to be more expensive than regular drinks so it was $6.95 each, but at least the drinks include toppings and they fill up the cup to the top with a dome lid. This place is next to Royal Thai (an authentic Thai place I'd also recommend), so I will definitely visit here again!

I recently discovered their boozy coffees and that they sell Vietnamese coffee - eff the world condensed milk glory! So, freaking good. During the holidays, they sell egg nog lattes which are creamy and so delicious. But if you want the boozy one, go with the District Lebowski. Jaw drop, so good! I still think the donuts themselves need more work - I wish they would taste sugary like the ones in Lafayette called Meches. The toppings are exquisite and those hot honey fried chicken sliders are the best! The staff are very professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. I kind of wish those boozy coffees were at the other locations, but other than that, keep doing what you are doing!

This one feels like a chain restaurant (which it now is) and has no real personality being pinned in between a bike shop and a Jersey Mike's inside of strip mall. The kolaches at District are really good. They have a variety of flavors, I usually get a smoked sausage, cheese and jalapeno which is tasty but this time I got a brisket boudin and cream cheese kolache in a collaboration with Gonzo's. This was phenomenal. I also got a regular glazed donut. This was not that good. It's too dense and too thick. I like my glazed donuts to be light and airy; I want it to almost melt in my mouth. All of District's donuts are thick. Most of them are good especially the banana pudding donut. The issue is these aren't really donuts more like cakes or just a dessert. If you are coming to get your order to go this place is fine but if you want to hang out, I prefer the other locations.

Located in a semi-sleepy warehouse'y area of Elmswood, they manage to crank out delicious baked goods daily and have made a name for themselves through local catering. While they bake a number of things, I think it's safe to say cakes are their most popular item. They make really awesome wedding cakes, sheet cakes, cupcakes, and a really stellar king cake. The latter is available year round, which is really convenient. The doberge cake is perfect for chocolate lovers and the NOLA wedding cake is decadent. A lot of people sleep on their ooey gooey cake, but it's definitely one of the most indulgent things they make. Their custom cakes look incredible and are extremely creative. They also bake some really high quality bread. From french bread to pastries, they can produce stuff perfect for building the perfect muffuletta, poboy, or the underrated but always lovely pullman loaves. They also make muffins, fruit tarts, pies, and the coolest swan shaped cream puffs. Delivery is available and the customer service is really outstanding. Email is an easy way to get in touch but they're really good about helping folks establish the perfect sweet / tasty lineup for all special occasions.
