If you know me, you know I'm ALWAYS open to try something NEW!!! And Bambu fit the bill for THE NEW. Stopped in because I saw the sign high up in the air, way to go advertising team. Walking in I was greeted with fresh smells & warm smiles. This was a new place for me, so of course, I am taking in all the sights, from the GET CHE MIND RIGHT backdrop, to the wall menus, to the vending machines & all the other signage that provide helpful suggestions. I was shocked to learn of drinks made with kidney beans was on the menu. The kidney beans are said to be sweet. I promised to try it, as it's quite hard to fathom kidney beans would be sweet. That will be my drink of choice next time. But this time, I tried a more fruity drink and It was quite pleasing to me. There was ice cream at the very top and the cashier suggested that I hurry and eat that before it melted I did what she said, and I had two treats in one drink. The ice cream and then the gummy's at the very bottom. It was like eating gummy bears or gummy worms with a dessert drink. Every mouthful was chewy and flavorful. To be noted, there are non-dairy options as well. Don't get scared. So many items to choose from, dessert drinks & banh-mi sandwiches, mango this, kidney beans that... with so many items on the menu that just means I have to return and try more of the concoctions. Shared parking lot. But it doesn't look like most people come and stay alone while. Although there are tables inside where you can sit and maybe do some computer work or read a book the average Joe picks up their drink and goes their way. read more

I had a wonderful first visit to Bambu. The space is open, bright, decorated with flowers that drape the space with cheer and a very instagrammable neon sign. I ordered an Oreo milk tea, an Oreo macaron and a pandan waffle. All were delicious! The service was excellent too. I'll def be back to try some of their savory selections. I saw bao and banh mis on the menu, and I have a weakness for both. read more

I've been here a few times now because their drinks are so refreshing! It's a cute shop across the street from Ochsner/Target by Clearview. They offer tons of different types of drinks, but they also have a few dessert/snack items if you're peckish! I've tried the mango fruit tea, passionfruit fruit tea, and lychee milk tea. They've all been delicious! The lychee is my fave. I always add popping bobas because they're yummy and fun. I tried adding basil seeds to my last drink and that was nice too. I've yet to try their mochi ice cream, but I've had their macarons before. They were fantastic and adorable too! They do have a points system you can associate with your phone number. The points give you discounts on your purchases! With the weather getting hotter, I'll be back more often! read more

Bambu is one of my favorite bubble tea places. Their taro and Thai tea bubble tea are excellent and so is the service. Even when I get my food and drink delivered, it's packed with care. I didn't love the coconut jelly because it's not sweet at all, so I'll stick to mango jelly. The decor is really cute and the friendliness of the staff always makes me want to hang out there a while. They also have happy hour which is how I ventured away from my usual bubble tea order and have also tried the bao and banh mi. I found them flavorful and loved the abundance of carrots, cilantro, and other vegetables. The quality of the meat is what you'd expect from a snack shop, but the sauces are yummy. I highly recommend Bambu. read more

The service was GREAT! The cashier was AMAZING ! She recommended the mango smoothie and it had a powdery taste. I wouldn't recommend the mango smoothie, I will be back to try the coconut drink, and I'll update my review off that. The atmosphere was very welcoming, the bathroom was clean and easy to access. The menu is straight forward and has the prices listed, majority of the items has a list of the ingredients and some doesn't... but that's not a problem because the cashier doesn't mind answering questions and she even offered me a sample of the mango jello topping. read more

Ok so I arrived at 8:51p and they close at 9p. Yes, people were still there eating. But when I walked in the cashier greeted me as if they weren't close until 10-11p. She was so bubbly and friendly. The restaurant was super clean menu was bright up top and super easy to read & understand the menu. Yes it was different for me! I did try the Strawberry Refresher with Strawberry Jellies. The Refresher was pressure, I'm not a fan of the jellies tho..I also got a Red Velvet macaroon. Omg it was so soft and tasty..they also sell sandwiches..listen next time I'm in Metairie I'm going back..its across from Target on Vets. Also there's like a lounge area towards the back. read more

Worth the visit! Beautiful decor, tasty treats, and a clean inviting a space that uplifted my day. I tried mochi and two other menu items...exceeded all expectations! Bambu not only excels with the dining experience, but it is also uniquely located on Vets and near Clearview Parkway. And, I can't say enough about how welcoming and pleasant the staff were. Already planning to go back to cool off from the hot weather ahead. read more

Years later, I'm glad to say that the customer service here greatly improved! The person who got my order was really nice and polite. Decorum is still clean and neat. I ordered the Bambu Combo for $7.50 with a large size (extra $1.50) which would equal to $9.00. It was a bit expensive for "Che" but I get it because of inflation. The taste was still really good and the dessert was filled with a lot of delicious toppings! The only complaint I have would be that they took almost 30 minutes for my order, but I understand since they had some technical issues. Other than that, my experience at Bambu greatly improved compared to my first visit. read more

If you're craving Vietnamese desserts and drinks literally made from SCRATCH, this is the place to be. Every single ingredient is fresh. They were all absolutely delicious and one can taste all the love/work that has been put in the drinks/desserts. We thoroughly enjoyed it! Service was also 100%. Everyone was professional, courteous, and family-oriented. Desserts and drinks came out very quickly. My family tried the Bambu Special chè, Coconut Combo, Taro Milk tea, Pandan Waffles with Ube cream, Halo Halo. The Pandan waffle was crispy on the outside and chewy in the inside. Taro Milk tea here is by far the best I've had. The taro is fresh and can tell it's not made from powder. Thank you for bringing this to New Orleans! I'm sure your business will thrive. read more

A cute place! As someone who has never tried Che before I was excited to try it. I got the Taro Lover Che. It was really good and was refreshing on a hot day. The staff were friendly and polite. A little on the pricey side, but it is a speciality dessert. My one complaint is the location itself, I literally missed it the first time driving down Vets looking for it, it's sort of hidden even with the big sign. read more

Love their chè here. The customer service is always great and fast. I like to get the 2,9,10. Haven't had more than 2 people in front of me at a time. Doesn't seem like it gets too busy. Wasn't too crazy for their che last time, will give it another try next time. The pandan waffle is 10/10!! Super crispy & love the chewy texture. I think their wintermelon milk tea is the BEST out of all milk tea shops in Nola. The ratio of tea to milk is exactly what I look for, everywhere else I try usually taste too milky. I've gotten the wintermelon tea at least 4-5 times now & the drink has been consistent. A nice little dessert place in Metairie to check out! The decor inside is cute & has a decent amount of space to dine. The staff is friendly & service is fairly quick. Happy to have a Bambu location in Nola! read more

I've been here a few times. The service is nice and patient, especially if you are as indecisive as me. It is a nice place to hang out with friends and catch up. There are plenty of desserts on the menu, including smoothies, boba, waffles, and macaron ice cream. The Bambu Refresher was refreshing; I liked the coconut juice base. The Bambu Halo Halo is pretty sweet; it includes red beans, so if you're not a bean person, then Halo Halo is not for you. The Smashed Avocado could have used a little more condensed milk. I grew up eating this, and I feel like the Smashed Avocadoes did not do it justice. Overall, this is a must try if you're looking for something sweet. read more

My sister and I have been here twice in the last week! First off, there is additional parking in back and you can use the door located there. The space is nice and there's some cute wall decor. All the employees we've encountered have been very professional, kind, and helpful! There's a lot to choose from. From che (Vietnamese soup dessert), fruit teas, mochi ice cream, bubble waffles, and pandan waffles. The employees are very knowledgeable when it comes to the drinks or desserts and recommends which one is the most favorite or which would suit your tastebuds.
