I went here by chance because my parents wanted some fried tofu. Tofu House literally has everything I want for a snack or a full blown meal...banh mi, fried tofu, warm tofu with syrup and coconut milk, fried bananas, banana rice cakes, che, etc... My favorite was the warm tofu with syrup. My other close second favorite was the fried bananas! They are huge and crispy with the sweetest bananas on the inside. I have been coming to Tofu House for close to two years I was just getting the plain tofu pudding that comes with coconut milk, and homemade ginger syrup. Now Taung has introduced flavors, such as mango, pandan, cappuccino. She's been very accommodating and trying new flavors, but I have requested such as strawberry and now chocolate. I have been very good. My son loves the sesame balls and fried tofus. All of their menu items are good. I've had the bomb in and fried bananas and some of their drink items. I'm usually just stumbling in to get a combination banh mi if i'm hungry and on Manhattan. They also have a variety of tofu dishes you can get there if you're big on tofu. I was too lazy to make breakfast before work so I came here for a Vietnamese Poboy/Banh Mi. I got the Banh Mi Thap Cam....a mix of Cha Lua (Pork Roll) , pate and cold cuts. Their Poboy was still warm and freshly delivered from Dong Phuong bakery. To wash it down, I had a Thai Tea and also grab a Vietnamese coffee for later. I also purchased two type of tofu. I got the lemongrass and also the mushroom tofu. I had the mushroom tofu for dinner tonight and it was so good. For $20, I got myself two drinks , a Poboy and two big tofu. That's a bargain! I will definitely go back. For anyone who likes tofu but want a different flavor and texture, this is the place. this is literally my go to spot probably every other morning for breakfast before work. at one point, i had to cut down going so much because the prices on bread went up a buck or two real quick! it was maybe $5 last year and it went up to $6-$7 since then. two orders of bread is $14 something after tax! portion is decent. i'm not going to lie but something about the bread keeps making me come back. i think it's the butter or maybe how fresh the bread is when they give you the order. my bread never make it to my destination. . i always stay safe with banh mi cha lua with no pickled carrots and then i tried banh mi xiu mai and started being greedy and have to order both everytime! the xiu mai is very good! i have it all the time and it taste the same if not, better every single time! the price is a lil much but i still come back! it's a great morning bite if you don't want fast food for breakfast. the person who makes the bread and the lady at the cashier prob get tired of seeing me with my complicated order of no pickled carrots but hey, they will make it happen for you either way. they sell other things that i just never tried yet. i only come for the bread. they are known for their tofu and ginger tofu dessert! read more

I decided to stop on the way to work to order banh mi for lunch. I'd ordered 3 banh mi which came up to $16.32 after tax. So I had $3.68 left and decided to get some sticky rice when they were counting out my change. Apparently it cost more than I thought it supposed to bc they kept all of my change. While I waited for my banh mi I noticed a sign saying they had "fresh squeezed orange juice" for $5,so I asked for a cup of that. They sell Vietnamese poboy ( banh Mi), bobo tea, sugar cane Drink, tofu and Vietnamese pudding desserts. I ordered the Combination banh mi. It was kind of small so if you are pretty hungry make sure to order two. It was pretty good would recommend. It is on the lighter side meaning they don't over kill it with Vietnamese mayonnaise and they trim off most of the fat you would find in a banh mi. My friend is a vegan and enjoyed the tofu poboy. I took a bite and it was pretty good. The tofu they used was not bland and goes well with all the other ingredients. My other friend also ordered the coconut pudding. I didn't care much for it to be honest. Just wasn't my thing. It is basically a whole coconut with jelly pudding. I also ordered the sugar cane drink. It is pretty pricey but it is because they make it fresh for you when you order it. Save room for dessert! They have a Vietnamese dessert called tofu pudding. They have it in either hot or cold. Though the seating area is admittedly small, this is a fantastic place for a quick bite. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Their selection of banh mi is great, as well as the various teas and smoothies. But the tofu is fantastic! They had three types of prepared tofu I could take home to make meals with: fried, lemongrass and chili, and dried mushrooms. We took the latter home to toss with a rich brown sauce and some rice.
