The Tofu pudding is it!!!! Friendly service. Clean restaurant. Vegan banh mi is delish!

everything here is so good! i mainly get the banh mi (combo or thit nuong), tofu, and fried banana. i probably go once a week to get banh mi because it's only $7 and my favorite banh mi on the WB! i feel passionately to say if you live on the WB you need to get something from tofu house and if you don't it's definitely worth the drive. read more

Have only had their tofu pudding. It's made fresh daily and comes with coconut cream and ginger syrup. The usual accompaniments. The small size is $3.75 and it's a lot. 10/10 Will definitely be back to try other things like fresh soybean milk and tofu banh mi. read more

The Banh mi's here are sooo tasty, made to order! I always alternate my orders: #1, 3, 4. Also the Vietnamese coffee is really good!

I went here by chance because my parents wanted some fried tofu. Tofu House literally has everything I want for a snack or a full blown meal...banh mi, fried tofu, warm tofu with syrup and coconut milk, fried bananas, banana rice cakes, che, etc... My favorite was the warm tofu with syrup. My other close second favorite was the fried bananas! They are huge and crispy with the sweetest bananas on the inside. I think Tofu House is the only one selling these snacks here in the NOLA area. I'll be back to try their banh mi and other sweet treats! read more

I love their banh mi combination and the roast pork banh mi. They're the best banh mi around other than Dong Phuong in New Orleans East. It's my go to place since I live on the westbank. Their tofu pudding is delicious also. read more

I have been coming to Tofu House for close to two years I was just getting the plain tofu pudding that comes with coconut milk, and homemade ginger syrup. Now Taung has introduced flavors, such as mango, pandan, cappuccino. She's been very accommodating and trying new flavors, but I have requested such as strawberry and now chocolate. I have been very good. My son loves the sesame balls and fried tofus. All of their menu items are good. I've had the bomb in and fried bananas and some of their drink items. Service has always been friendly. I highly recommend The Tofu House. read more

Desserts here are yummy! I get the tofu dessert or random items they have out for the day. I also come here for tofu and fried tofu for various asian recipes. The real star of the show is the fried banana!! You have to come early because it's always sold out. I don't know how they took something so simple but made it sooo good. You have to try it, it's different from your run of the mill hoi cho fried banana. So crispy and delicious. read more

First time trying this spot after my sister told me about it. I was impressed with the Banh mi and the drink. I ordered the combination Banh mi. You really can't mess that up. I also got the avocado smoothie. It was actually my first time getting an avo smoothie and I loved it! Not too sweet. I will definitely be coming back here! The price was super affordable. 12.01 for both! Definitely a steal. I'm super full after north. The Banh mi was medium sized but packed with flavor and protein. I love that they put a lot of cilantro in the Banh mi. I can't wait to come back here! There's also a selection of tofu I'll try next time! :) read more

Probably my favorite banh mi spot on the westbank! Always fresh and just packed with flavor. Service is always top notch and fast. I'm usually just stumbling in to get a combination banh mi if i'm hungry and on Manhattan. They also have a variety of tofu dishes you can get there if you're big on tofu. A pro tip is to try their flavored teas. I randomly got a peach tea and was pleasantly surprised on how good it was. Overall, the restaurant and bathroom is always clean when I come in. Definitely recommend this place if you want some banh mi! read more

The Tofu House definitely deserves five stars because of its uniqueness that serves an increasingly health conscious Asian community and and provides delicious dessert ! I'd definitely recommend the silkened sweetened tofu dessert and try out their different syrup over time. We had the ginger one because it was childhood favorite as they used to serve it on the street in Hong Kong. If I'm in the area again, this is one place I would definitely stop by! read more

Just devoured the lemon grass tofu bahn mi. It was delicious -- really flavorful and just bursting with freshness. I will def be back

I was too lazy to make breakfast before work so I came here for a Vietnamese Poboy/Banh Mi. I got the Banh Mi Thap Cam....a mix of Cha Lua (Pork Roll) , pate and cold cuts. Their Poboy was still warm and freshly delivered from Dong Phuong bakery. To wash it down, I had a Thai Tea and also grab a Vietnamese coffee for later. I also purchased two type of tofu. I got the lemongrass and also the mushroom tofu. I had the mushroom tofu for dinner tonight and it was so good. For $20, I got myself two drinks , a Poboy and two big tofu. That's a bargain! I will definitely go back. For anyone who likes tofu but want a different flavor and texture, this is the place. Their tofu are firm tofu that are lightly fried and mix with with black mushrooms, lemongrass or just plain tofu. read more

this is literally my go to spot probably every other morning for breakfast before work. at one point, i had to cut down going so much because the prices on bread went up a buck or two real quick! it was maybe $5 last year and it went up to $6-$7 since then. two orders of bread is $14 something after tax! portion is decent. i'm not going to lie but something about the bread keeps making me come back. i think it's the butter or maybe how fresh the bread is when they give you the order. my bread never make it to my destination. . i always stay safe with banh mi cha lua with no pickled carrots and then i tried banh mi xiu mai and started being greedy and have to order both everytime! the xiu mai is very good! i have it all the time and it taste the same if not, better every single time! the price is a lil much but i still come back! it's a great morning bite if you don't want fast food for breakfast. the person who makes the bread and the lady at the cashier prob get tired of seeing me with my complicated order of no pickled carrots but hey, they will make it happen for you either way. they sell other things that i just never tried yet. i only come for the bread. they are known for their tofu and ginger tofu dessert! read more

This review is based solely on their banh mi (Vietnamese poboy). My family ordered 7 banh mi and spent almost $50 dollars. 5 combination and 2 chicken. I have never received such a skimpy banh mi from any place before! I really thought maybe the meat fell out my bread?! It was dry, under-seasoned and I had a couple pieces of meat --- literally. It had 1 sprig of cilantro and 1 slice of cucumber. Nothing else. I could have bought store goods myself for half the price and made the exact same ones at home. Waste of time and money. Hype wasn't real read more

The lemon tofu sandwich was delicious. My girlfriend had the combination and she said it was also very good. They have choices of various drinks that looked really tasty, but decided not to try one this time. Has a very small area to sit down with 3 tables. Service was counter only and efficient. I would definitely go back. read more

I decided to stop on the way to work to order banh mi for lunch. I'd ordered 3 banh mi which came up to $16.32 after tax. So I had $3.68 left and decided to get some sticky rice when they were counting out my change. Apparently it cost more than I thought it supposed to bc they kept all of my change. While I waited for my banh mi I noticed a sign saying they had "fresh squeezed orange juice" for $5,so I asked for a cup of that. The cashier cáeme out with a cup of what looked like Tampico orange drink and I asked her "This is freshly squeezed?" She said yes and immediately went straight back to the kitchen. Never again I come back here. I rather go to Hong Kong market and buy my banh mi for cheaper and not be scammed. read more

I haven't tried anything from here, but their tofu banh mi. 10/10! Fresh, decent portion, and delicious.

I really like this place because it is so unique. They make their own tofu, soy milk, and soy related things like sweet tofu dessert. The prices are fresh and affordable. If tofu is not your thing, they also sell banh mi, including vegetarian options on the menu. They also sell Vietnamese coffee, milk tea and boba drinks. Do yourself a favor and get yourself a fresh coconut jelly!! The people at the front corner are really nice. It is definitely worth a visit. read more

I picked up some banh mi to have as a snack or small meal on the road since I was visiting from out of town. I had the banh mi combination and I wish I had picked up way more! All ingredients were fresh and the jalapeno had the perfect amount of spice. The lady who was helping me was also extremely nice. I will definitely be back here again when I'm back. read more

Grabbed the lemongrass tofu banh mi for lunch today and it was delicious. Tofu house is a small little banh mi / boba tea shop located next to Mr. CrabHouse in Harvey, convenient if you are staying in the immediate area and looking for a fresh alternative to the heavy Cajun options in New Orleans. Also, it's more of a takeout spot although there are a couple of tables available. read more

Small little gem on the Westbank that just recently opened. I met my little brother for a quick lunch stop. Quick, easy, and affordable. Banh mi are priced at under $5 as well as bubble tea. Thai tea bubble tea was perfect and every one of their banh mi were good. Standard and no frills. read more

They have a parking lot so no need to worry about parking. It is a small Vietnamese/Chinese shop. They sell Vietnamese poboy ( banh Mi), bobo tea, sugar cane Drink, tofu and Vietnamese pudding desserts. I ordered the Combination banh mi. It was kind of small so if you are pretty hungry make sure to order two. It was pretty good would recommend. It is on the lighter side meaning they don't over kill it with Vietnamese mayonnaise and they trim off most of the fat you would find in a banh mi. My friend is a vegan and enjoyed the tofu poboy. I took a bite and it was pretty good. The tofu they used was not bland and goes well with all the other ingredients. My other friend also ordered the coconut pudding. I didn't care much for it to be honest. Just wasn't my thing. It is basically a whole coconut with jelly pudding. I also ordered the sugar cane drink. It is pretty pricey but it is because they make it fresh for you when you order it. Save room for dessert! They have a Vietnamese dessert called tofu pudding. They have it in either hot or cold. They serve it with ginger sugar syrup. It is also good with coconut milk. Make sure to ask for it! There were only two people working there therefor kind of slow. The owner/ cashier was friendly and she hustles making sure to take order and get the food out. read more

This place has been open for a little while, but I only recently visited. They have a wide variety of bubble tea flavors (actual tea), as well as the frozen bubble teas that other places usually have. They also have bahn mi sandwiches that are excellent and priced between 4-4.50 We got the a grilled pork and a bubble tea. Both were excellent. Will definitely visit again and frequently read more

Love love love their tofu!! There are different kinds if you want options. My favorite is the tofu with mushrooms.

I first thought this was just general sandwich but it tasted very good. We had purchased the tuna, ham and veggie banh mi. All were good. The size of the meat portion was good. The price is now $6 instead of $4 seen in the old photo on yelp. The only concern is the waiting time but it was a busy morning yesterday and so forgivable. read more

Still the best Thai tea on the block. I've tried the Thai tea with boba at other places and no one beats this place. The dau hu nuoc duong (soft tofu with ginger syrup) is still good too! read more

Though the seating area is admittedly small, this is a fantastic place for a quick bite. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Their selection of banh mi is great, as well as the various teas and smoothies. But the tofu is fantastic! They had three types of prepared tofu I could take home to make meals with: fried, lemongrass and chili, and dried mushrooms. We took the latter home to toss with a rich brown sauce and some rice. Delicious. They also serve an amazing soubean pudding with coconut cream and syrup with what tastes like a hint of ginger. I will be here often, for this pudding alone, let alone the amazing coffee I picked up as well! read more

The best place to have a Viet sandwich so far. I love the Viet Coffee they make too. However, you gotta wait a bit long for the food since they have to warm up the bread. Just call in and get your order ready before coming it would be better for you. read more
