The worst place I've ever seen.not recommend to come the guy cashier so rude.the food not good

I randomly stopped by this spot and was pleasantly surprised by how good the food was. I had a bahn mi sandwich and some pho, which my wife really enjoyed and she's usually very picky with pho. We also tried the General Tso's chicken and it was enjoyable. The flavors were on point, the portions were satisfying, and the overall experience was really solid. Wifey and I were lost in Northwest Houston and couldn't find a good place to eat. We googled frantically until we happened upon this Vietnamese gem of a restaurant. The food is as homemade as in a Hanoi neighborhood family restaurant and this one is no different - they make everything from scratch. We had the gigantic (to us anyway) goi cuon chay (vegetarian) rolls, and two pho ga with chicken. Great stuff! Service is very personable and the restaurant is very cute. If we lived in Houston, we'd be regulars, but it's a long way from Los Angeles. Highly recommended! read more

Went in today for a sandwich. Asked the girl at register if the chicken is breast or thigh, she said breast. It is thigh meat. Please do not lie to customers as if they cannot see and taste the difference. Had the same issue at VN Pho up the road. read more

This place was great!! I came here for lunch with a couple friends last week. If you're looking for a Vietnamese restaurant in North Houston that is both delicious and cost friendly, I would definitely recommend this place. The server was very friendly and the place was very clean. There was lots of seating, and we had no problem finding somewhere for the three of us. We ordered the chicken cold rolls, pho, combination rice platter, and chicken friend rice. The cold rolls came out first, and they were a perfect starter. Very fresh and tasty. The rest of the food wasn't too far behind and they were each really good. I would definitely order the chicken fried rice again. read more

Updated review * after trying this place a few more times because the food is so delicious !!! I will say service has gotten better thank goodness. Don't know if it's become a regular at this spot but service has improved. One girl remembers my order at this point lol. There's another younger girl who is super polite and gives amazing service I don't know her name. She always says yes ma'am no sir etc which is so nice because a lot of time and smaller owned businesses the service is not there at all. I always get the chicken pho w/ white meat, either an egg roll or pork banh mi. Eventually I will give in and try other dishes because everything looks amazing I'm just a creature of habit. The service was AWFUL! I'm not even the type to leave reviews but I had to for this place. I only went in to get something to drink. From beginning to end of the interaction the lady working was unpleasant, rude & just aggressive. I ended up leaving with nothing but a refund for what I was going to get bc after service I did not want to give them a penny. I do not play about customer service. It takes nothing to be nice. Very causal restaurant. Lost of seating, with a bit of Outdated asian decor. The service was quick and efficient. The menu had tons of choices and items had numbers that you can reference when ordering. Great customer service, order accurately taken over the phone and my order was waiting on me when I arrived. I ordered a large Pho Ga and an order of Vietnamese egg rolls. Starting a new job in a new location means new places to try! I've been frequenting Pho Hang & Grill about once a week. There's a variety of Vietnamese dishes that you can order besides pho, including rice, vermicelli, noodles, etc. They also serve bun bo hue here, which is usually what I get. You don't get the typical meat cuts like oxtail, hock, or even blood. Honestly, that works out for me as I am not as adventurous in that department. You know when you're having a really bad day and you go to your friends house to talk about it and they feed you, so you feel a lot better? Well this is what this place is like. The food tastes like if your friend tried making your favorite comfort food, it's not how they make it at the restaurants but it turned out very well. I've tried Pho at different Vietnamese restaurants but this place has a unique taste. The soup was good, the noodle were great, and the chicken was well cooked. If you are looking for this restaurant, do not drive at this area too fast because it it's not really too visible even though it's on 1960. Parking is moderate for this establishment unless it gets really busy since it shares the lot with other businesses. It's a decent size end cap restaurant which probably sits probably around 75 people. Service might be a hit-or-miss since yesterday was a disaster but today the people are on the ball so neutral on the star count I can tell you, there is somebody in that kitchen that really knows how to cook! The dishes that I have tasted any last two days have been on and even surprised me a little. Banh xao ( looks like a pancake with shrimp and bean sprouts). $9 is not an easy dish to find in most Vietnamese restaurants but here you will have it and it was pretty good, it was Michael's home Raw on the inside but it still would pass the taste o meter. What I have to rave for about is the flavor of the sauce for the suon rum man (salt pork rub in clay pot $12). That stuff will have you licking your fingers on the way home, the only thing I wasn't a fan was they do not cook the onions when cooking the pork but instead at the end they cut off large pieces, place and mix it around the dish. It's still addict o sauce factor though. The inside is pretty nice with the fake bamboo dividers and semi low lighting. The menu prices are pretty reasonable for the location around this area as well as the selections. Definitely a go to place if you're in the area and you could easily fit a group of 20 on non peak hours. read more

3.5 Stars for average food, good service. Pho restaurant on FM 1960 near Ella & Kuykendahl. We arrived around 11:30am on a Sunday and it was empty. One other table (family of 3) came in while we were there. The servers were two teenagers - 1 male and 1 female. They were both courteous and friendly. The young man was very helpful when taking our order- answered questions and recommended what items were popular. The food was decent- average Pho and Banh Xeo. I've came here many times because it's close by to home and when I'm craving pho, I come here. I wish I had better things to say about this restaurant but I've gave it many chances. I did find a hair in my soup one time, as well as my friend and the pho wasn't all that great. I also ordered home one time because I wasn't feeling good and they fell short on their service by not providing me with enough seafood versus if I dine in. I feel that they should be consistent whether or not someone is dining in or taking out. I was in Spring for just a few days and was craving authentic Vietnamese food. We ordered com thit nuong, hu tieu ap chao, canh chua, and che 3 mau for dessert. I was pleasantly surprised that they had hu tieu ap chao and canh chua. These are some of my favorite dishes and I rarely find restaurants that have them on their menu! A very typical Vietnamese restaurant but with some Chinese dishes as well. The food: I had the pho tai gan. It was very average pho. It was good, but nothing special. They were somewhat light on the meats and vegetables (cilantro and basil) which is a little disappointing. The flavor was fine. I also got the cafe sua da which was decent but again nothing special. The space: exactly what you would expect. It looks like almost any pho or other casual Vietnamese restaurants. The service: Everyone was very friendly. I feel like I had a good experience. Overall: If you're in the area and craving some quick Vietnamese food I would definitely recommend coming here. The customer service here is pretty good, but I do prefer the other one right up the street from here but they were closed today. :/ To me their broth has a hint of a sweeter taste. But the food here is good too. I do like how they have pictures for the crap that's in Vietnamese. Anywho, I came in today for some Pho to go and something else. Immediately I was told they don't do small sizes to go, which is kinda stupid. I asked why, and with his broken English he just said that's just the rule. So that just made me pissed me off because you have a rule but you don't even know why it exists?! I even told him can't you just put the small size in a large container? He said no.
