I have been going to Kim Long for the past three years and this past Friday (11/7/2025). I ordered my usual PHO CHIN soup: the broth didn't have the usual favor it was bland and the portions of the meat were a very small amount. I was very disappointed and this is the first time that I have said this about the restaurant. I hope this isn't a new trend if it is I will be taking my service elsewhere. read more

Very fast. Great pho. One thing that was surprising here was the hot sour soup. Amazing... wish they offered a big bowl of this deliciousness. The staff is very kind and quick. I love Vietnamese food and knowing we were heading into a nearby Walmart, I thought this would make for a nice lunch. It did but was not as flavorful as most places I have visited. The egg rolls were meh and I actually left two behind, unheard of for me. The fish sauce that accompanied the appetizer barely covered the bottom of the bowl. I come here regularly and was highly disappointed in my experience. The restaurant overcharged me over $1 plus per dish **hoping that I would not notice when my check was delivered and it was time to pay. And the funny part was that they were standing tables away looking at me while I was reviewing my check. He knew when I was reviewing that I had noticed and hoped I didn't. I told the guy working that the prices didn't line up with what was printed on the menu. And I asked him, don't you think you should be charging what you are advertising- what is printed? He then fixes to tell me that the prices went up. Really? I said to him, don't you think you should tell your customers that before they order and tell your customers this? He responds and says no, and tells me he hasn't had the menus reprinted. I'm sorry but FedEx and Office Depot are open for business and they can print you some menus with the correct pricing all day, everyday. He then goes on to say to me - should I tell each of my customers this? I was like why wouldn't you tell your customers this? You either post it somewhere, advise them or you reprint your menus. That is what a business that is fair should be doing. What you don't do is hope that you charge your customer something else than what is printed and advertised and hope that they don't notice when they go to pay. That is A VERY POOR CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE. The man was unapologetic and didn't seem to even get the concept that this business practice was highly unethical. Very disappointing as they could not understand why the customer would be a little bit surprised that they were being duped. read more

I liked this place. It has a wide variety of food and my Pho was good. The environment was pleasant. Quiet jazz piano although I would prefer asian music. The price was very reasonable. I ate for under $10 and got full. The waitress was a kind lady who was very attentive. The wall art was beautiful. They do not serve alcohol. The place was clean but not a bad kind of clean. (It didn't smell like cleaning supplies) it smelled like delicious food. I really recommend this place to anyone. They did a good job on the decoration but I think if they made a better front door area outside they would attract more people. Something more inviting looking. read more

The Seafood Pho was very delicious and cheaper than most seafood pho that I have seen out there. The noodles were a little tough, but that is the only thing I really had to "dig" for. I loved the food at Kim Long's. OK, you must know that if you live inside the loop this place is FAR. The food however, is so worth the drive. I wanted pho, but once we got there I decided to try the flat egg noodle with shrimp. My brother had the same but with beef. My mom had vermicelli noodles with shrimp. The food was delish! We also had some spring rolls and those (of course) were pretty good. This is about a 2.3 rounded down. I've heard good things about the pho but my favorite Vietnamese dishes are banh mi sandwiches and vermicelli bowls. No banh mi at Kim Long, so I had the grilled pork and spring rolls with vermicelli. The sauce was unusual--if you haven't had nuoc cham it's hard to describe, but it's made with fish sauce, vinegar, lemon juice, garlic, and chile peppers. It's very strong and a little can go a long way. This sauce was thinner, a bit salty, and actually tasted kind of off. But it tasted pretty good with the food so I went with it. The pork had OK flavor but was chewy. The vermicelli is not the usual rice noodles, but pasta. Spring rolls were OK. Overall edible but not outstanding. They have some tasty sounding desserts on the menu, so I tried one. The crispy pineapple with honey is deep-fried breaded pineapple. Sort of OK but not something to recommend. On service, I drew the short straw and got the brusque lady. I ordered a coke in a can, which comes with a glass of ice. She was efficient and even smiled, but no offers of water when I finished, or any other offers beyond bringing the food. Decor inside is clean but very basic. Bathrooms are clean and functional. I wouldn't go out of my way for it, but if you do go you should probably get the pho. read more

I just recently order "Lemon grass chicken" and "Beef with green beans" to-go, they were not good. In another word, they did not taste like Vietnamese nor Chinese food. So, I recommend you just to eat Pho at their restaurant. I normally order: - Kim Long Special Noodle (Pho) - Imperial Spicy Soup w/ Beef and Pork (Bun Bo Hue) - Vietnamese Black Pepper Squid (Muc Rang Muoi) - Combination Beans Pudding (Che Ba Mau) I never tried their Rice Dishes, so I can not have any comment. I tried Char-Broiled Pork Spring Rolls; Shrimp, Pork Spring Roll; Crispy Egg Noodle w/ sauteed seafood and vegies; Pan Fried Rice Noodle w/ Seafood; Crispy Honey Banana; and those 2 dishes I just recently ordered.....These, I do not recommend. Honestly I thought I had the absolute worst Vietnamese food ever In Conroe, I'm here to tell you I was WRONG, way wrong! Went here for lunch today, gentlemen didn't even greet me just pointed at the 50 empty tables, that should have been a good tip off, but undaunted sat down ordered my normal bun thit nuong, (vermicelli with grilled pork). And waited, and waited and waited some more. Nearly half an hour later they finally arrived with the absolutely wrong dish, something that looked like a rice egg dish, completely annoyed told the waitress that is was the wrong order, no apologies then tried to accuse me of ordering #42, I told her that I didn't even order by number, I ordered the bun/vermicelli. She huffed off, again no apology. So I waited some more, finally got the worst excuse for bun, they obviously tried to recycle the crap from the wrong order. Normally it's salad, with noodles on top, and grilled meat/peanuts , simple right? Nope! All in weird quadrants, wilty, sad yellowing lettuce, limp sprouts, cucumber was more peel than cucumber and worse the pork tasted old and suspiciously like dog food soaked in fish sauce. And to add insult to injury it was terribly expensive $13 for the absolute worst attempt at Vietnamese food I've ever had. Mid meal she randomly brought be a fried spring roll, which was the only thing worth eating, and their chili oil (sate) was good. Literally one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had, strongly recommend skipping this travesty, there's a reason it was empty, THEY SUCK! Should have asked for my Money back.. read more

Rough... Came in with my daughter and was surprised at how slow the service was. The shades were pulled down probably to hide the fact that the whole restaurant was empty at dinner time. We stood waiting to be seated for a few minutes and finally just picked a table. We ordered the Vietnamese eggrolls and a bowl of pho and it took way longer than expected to get our food. The eggrolls were okay, but the pho was pitiful. I never felt so cheaped out at a restaurant before. The food was overly salty and just... Man so disappointing. While we were there a couple came in and no joke just stood around for five minutes waiting for someone to notice that they were there. Im shocked that they decided to stay. Some of the best Pho Tai I have had. The broth is just so fragrant with Star Anise being the top note and long simmering depth flavor.
