Two Banh Mi Sandwiches to go.
    Bethanne A.

Always forgot about this very good Vietnamese restaurant. The food is fresh and so delicious. The waitstaff are so polite and the customers are regular diners. Service is great with suggestions to help a diner, like me, make my mine up.. The decor is very nice and the restaurant is always so clean. Customers are polite, and like to chat. A nice place to dine.

This place used to be a lot better. We ordered the wonton noodle soup, pho, and banh mi. The banh mi wasn't bad. It was actually the best item out of the three. The pho broth was way too sweet. I was adding hot sauce and salt but it didn't fix the overly sweet taste of the broth. The wonton noodle soup was super salty. Besides that, it was pretty good. I would not come back.

Food was good but not great. The fish sauce tasted off. The lemon grass beef vermicelli and eggrolls were as expected. What causes the loss of stars? Service, or lack there of. One server who sat me and never came back but leisurely made his way around the dining room visiting and bussing tables. When I finally got his attention, my order was taken and delivered by someone else. I could have overlooked this as an honest mistake but after it came to his attention, I did not expect the same thing to occur waiting for my check, never mind a refill on tea. There are too many good Vietnamese restaurants to bother returning.

I live nearby and have eaten here maybe half a dz times. The food is always consistent, not the best, but a solid choice for local cravings. HOWEVER... I got a Vietnamese coffee to-go, brought it to work this morning, drank about 3/4 of it, then felt a clump when I took a sip, spit it out... dead effin FLY!!! IN MY MOUTH! I am beyond grossed-out y'all

This place has been a staple for The Woodlands community for Vietnamese food - the head chef's grandson, Benny, was one of our servers today and stated that they have been in business here since 1979! They have great service and great food here. I had the lemon grass beef bun and stir fried flat noodles combo plate and both had really fresh ingredients, great flavor, large portion sizes, and well cooked! The flat noodles were tender and crispy at the same time and had a good amount of fresh veggies and variety of pork, chicken, and shrimp. The lemon grass beef was flavorful and the egg roll was nice and crispy. Our servers checked on us multiple times and were very polite and patient with our large group today! We will definitely be coming back soon!

Normally the food is pretty decent but recently my boyfriend and I ordered dinner to go and waited almost an hour for it to be made, then they got all three of our orders wrong - we only got half of the dumplings we ordered, I got sweet and sour chicken rather than orange chicken, boyfriend ordered a seafood stir fry and got a single shrimp. The food was so awful that we threw it out and went somewhere else. Eating here has been good before, I have no idea what happened.

My 9 months old review to this place has gone down to 1 Star. Sorry but not sure why I often had miss served each time last 3 times I have gone to picky up my food. I really like that this place is Mom and Pop own since has some how became word of mouth popular; it also has a hit and miss or more like going down hill moment for me. It's quality has gone down terribly several times i ordered to go. My usual combination has terrible cucumber old soar taste to it. And the CILANTRO (granted it's not summer) they added to my togo food even though it looks like scraps you pick on the ground. SEE PHOTO attached.

Terribly disappointed I just ordered this food first time I've tried this place. Lemongrass beef is what I ordered it's bland there's no flavor nobody put the fish sauce in the bag so it's just flavorless also ordered a sandwich also no sauce completely dry everything's cold I'm pretty upset that I just spent 46 bucks and nothing even taste good

    Do they have chili oil?

Yes they do. They have a bottle of the chili sauce and a more house made looking chili oil/paste at each table. Sorry i don't know exactly what it is.

I was happy to get a booth dining alone. There were a few customers there but it was not super busy. It was a clean and calm environment. I ordered the spring rolls and beef Pho. The spring tops were fresh and crispy just the way I like it. Although it was fried it wasn't greasy. My large Pho came out and it had nice flavor on its own. I asked for some chilli oil and the waitress promptly bought some out. My eyes were definitely bigger than my stomach because I had to take more than half to go. It's a win for me because I love left over Pho! I will say my entire dining experience was excellent. The price aligned with the quality food and service. I will definitely be back.

I'm always on the hunt to try new Vietnamese spots and sometimes have to travel to The Woodlands…read morefor work and thought that I would give Pho Viet Tastes a try due to high ratings on Yelp. Searching for a banh mi sandwich with tofu for a quick lunch takeout, I was pleased to see that the restaurant was close to interstate 45 for a quick stop on the way back to Houston (timing is everything to beat the traffic in this area - IYKYK). I ended up ordering both the tofu vermicelli and a tofu banh mi because obviously, you need to try more than one thing. It was fine. Out of the two dishes, the vermicelli was my favorite. It came with a generous portion of noodles, a small lettuce and shredded carrot salad, several large wedges of tofu in a kind of curry sauce, and the classic vermicelli sauce to drizzle over the whole dish. The flavor was good, although what I would consider a slight deviation from traditional flavors, and overall filling. Vermicelli is always a dependable choice and I was satisfied with this dish. The tofu banh mi, however was nothing special. I prefer the bread to be a bit more crispy on the outside with a soft interior and this one was fairly soft all over. Inside, the tofu really needed more seasoning, seemingly cooked without any added flavors except for the fried finish. I added some hoisin sauce but still it needed something more. I'm always eager to try new places but not sure that this one will be a repeat for me.

I tried this restaurant since I had been to one of their other locations close to my work and it…read morewas decent. This location has the addition of sushi and some americanized Chinese dishes. On a weeknight, there isn't much of a crowd and really just 1 other table of customers. I was able to pick pretty much anywhere to sit. The menu is pretty extensive and has all of the vietnamese basics for a noodle shop. I tried the House Special Fried Shrimp Cake and Fried Egg Rolls as an appetizer, and a small fatty brisket and fatty flank steak bowl of pho. Prices are average id say for this type of food and certainly much less than the nearly $18 bowl of pho I had about 6 miles away last week. The soup broth is very similar to their other location, which was pretty good. It isn't the best bowl of soup in the Houston area, but it surely does the job if you're craving a bowl of pho. The egg rolls are pretty standard, I just wish they gave you more lettuce as the amount provided only is enough for 2 of the 4 egg rolls. The shrimp cake is something I've never tried but just made with sheet tofu and shrimp paste. It's pretty good if you like that texture. You eat them the same way as the egg rolls wrapped in lettuce and add the veggies. Again, the amount of lettuce provided is only enough for 2 of the 4 cakes. The ambiance is nice and they were playing a mix of modern pop and dance music in the dining area.

The food was very good!…read more I was hesitant at first because some of the menu seemed to be fusion items. In a place like Houston, where you can get authentic Vietnamese food, this can be a luck draw if the fusion pays off. However, when I tried the food, it was a very flavorful and worth every cent I spent. Everything was very tasty. The wings were flavorful and crisp. It had a combination of crispy skin seasoned with a rich sauce. The meat was also moist. For a party of two, it was also very shareable because they gave six pieces -both drums and wings. I will say that you really gotta to get in there get your hands and face dirty though! (They did provide a hand wipe!) For the main dishes, the won tonic soup was very flavorful with sweet-and-sour elements with egg noodles that soaked up all this good flavor. The wontons inside were very standard. And the onion was added to provide some balance. Everything was very hardy and filling. My friend had gotten the vermicelli. Which came with crunchy egg rolls, shredded veggies, noodles, and shrimp topped with a fish sauce. It felt very light and refreshing with a balance of textures and savory elements'. Highly recommend as the number one and two selling dishes - it would just depend on if you're in a soup or dry noodle sort of mood. Service was overall fast and friendly. You have to pay by going to the counter. We had a newer waiter though, and it took him a long time to get our orders correctly and he had to get some help. Hopefully they're doing well, but overall, it's a very cute Homie little establishment. Seating fits around 30 around booths and tables.
