I moved to Montgomery a few months ago and I am starting to look for the places I was used to back in California. I wanted some Pho and I haven't had it in a long time. I tried this place tonight. It's a cute and clean spot off the 105. The customer service was great. I called in my order and it was ready when I arrived (15 mins). I ordered the 21-Chicken -White meat pho soup. The broth was really good and flavorful (better than the one I was used to get in California-not a lot of flavor). The chicken was good too. It was overall great! And I'll definitely be back for some more. One thing I will say I thought the portion size of the noodles and chicken could improve a bit. I would recommend ordering extra meat or noodles if you want extra. I ordered a large and was able to finish in one sitting. The broth was so good, I definitely drank that up. The restaurant requires for guests and staff to wear a mask. This was my 2nd visit and was not disappointed with the meal, although the service needs some work... I ordered the shrimp spring rolls with fish sauce and the #10 beef round steak pho. The spring rolls were fresh and the server remembered to bring fish sauce & not peanut sauce. The soup was hot and served with plenty of fresh veggies. Although the soup was flavorful the meat was a bit dry and over cooked but not to the extent that it was "bad" or "inedible"... I was given my food and no one ever came back to check if I needed anything else or to offer a drink refill. Their combination seafood pho was so good I'm still in disbelief. I walked in and ordered, since I just had the pho and some wings I had a short wait time. just had an XL Bowl of pho (no basil, sub more cilantro) and an order of egg rolls (with 2 extra pieces of lettuce so that I had enough lettuce for all 4 of my eggrolls) the bowl of pho was 10.95. the eggrolls were 4.95 the cilantro was 2.50 the lettuce was 2.50 I was charged FIVE EXTRA DOLLARS for less than a dollars worth of green food that has NEVER been charged to my bill before. Ordered a pork vermicelli bowl, and two spring rolls. The appetizers and the bowl arrived together, after a 20 minute wait!! I asked for some basil, cilantro and a couple of slices of jalapeños. Didn't get cilantro. They charged me 10 for the bowl, 5 for the spring rolls, and 2.50 for the few leaves of basil and 3 slices of jalapeños!!! Veggies should come with the bowl, like in other restaurants, at no extra charge. Spring rolls were ok, as you can't mess those up. Easy to make. The pork in the vermicelli bowl was skimpy, and fatty, with not much flavor. My second visit today, confirmed I will look for another place, next time. Who doesn't love dried out, unseasoned grey meat? We love Pho and this was like the worst "gas station level quality" I have ever had. The "meat" smells awful. I did try it because, you never know. Looks can be deceiving but in the case, that meat looks like filet minion compared to what it tasted like. I threw it away rather than saving for the dog. It was so bad, I wouldn't feed it to a dog.... hope that helps you decide if you are debating on this place or another Pho joint. We love to explore the area and frequently try places on a whim. In addition to that they give 1 ketchup packet sized portion of hoisin sauce, two slices of jalapeño, three sprigs of cilantro and a slice of lemon.... the lemon was dried out as well. The onion and parsley (why parsley?) in the to go container are the only additional herbs. Try Van Thong in Conroe. They are pretty good. read more

I've been here once before and remembered it to be better than it was. It was so-so. I had the Asian style chicken wings. Not impressed. I like wings, but these just didn't do it. They were fried naked, but skin wasn't done, still rubbery. Sauce they used was way too sweet and no real flavor. My son had chicken fried rice, and even though it was a pile of food, just average at best. We'd been a lot better of, satisfied appetite and in the wallet l, if we'd went to Pei Wei. Nice to have an option besides Mexican or BBQ here in Montgomery. Never dined in but order take out every couple months. I am lucky enough to have a Vietnamese neighbor who feeds us often so when I compare his food to Pho Dats, my opinion of the restaurant is "it's ok." I feel their pho broth is lacking a depth of flavor, the nuoc cham sauce is a bit watered down, and their grilled meats are often overcooked and charred. (Maybe I've just been spoiled by my neighbor's home cooking.) Nevertheless, I will keep coming here when I have a craving that hasn't been satisfied recently as they have always been friendly and food is ready quickly but I still feel they have room for improvement. read more

I have been coming to this restaurant for about a year. The reason I kept going back was ONLY for the pho. The customer service sucks tremendously! Except for the two ladies but the men are AWFUL. My mom and I normally order take out and every order we always end up with a drippy mess by the time we get home. I understand pho is to be eaten in the restaurant but we like eating in the comforts of our home. Needless to say, the broth always ends up in the plastic bag which is disappointing because the broth is so delicious! After I arrived home, I called the restaurant and got nothing more than a bland "oh sorry about that". If you're looking for good pho, this is the place but that's ALL you will get.
