As Pho is one of my favorite foods, when I heard a new pho shop opened up in Conroe I had to try it. I've tried almost every pho shop near The Woodlands/Conroe area so I know what kind of quality of Pho I can get in these places. If I want a truly amazing Pho I am not going to any pho shops near here, so my expectation for this new shop weren't that high. To simply put my expectations were right, the Pho was just okay. First off, what I really like was the quality of the vegetables, I was actually taken aback my the quality and freshness of the produce. However, the main reason I was there wasn't for the vegetables but for Pho. The pho was just okay, my biggest problem was that the broth was too overpowering. I like to put hoisin's sauce and chili oil in my pho, as the combination of those flavors I really enjoy, however this is one place where I felt like when I added the hoisin and chili oil, it actually made the pho worse. I also order the combination and find a single small piece of tendon... The food itself wasn't bad and if this is the only closest pho shop near you, it'll satisfy your craving, but I recommend you don't put anything into the broth and just enjoy it as it is. read more

My wife was craving something soupy, so we found this place near our house. She ordered the chicken yellow noodle soup, and I went with the Pho combo. It was around 10 PM, so there was no rush at all. The place looked decent, and the guy at the front desk was pretty cool. Now, about the food: the soup was on the salty side--we actually had to add water to dilute it. They were also very stingy with the meat for the price you're paying. I could literally count the pieces. They used chicken breast (good for those concerned about cholesterol), but it turned out dry. I wish they offered an option for dark meat--it would make a big difference. read more

This is my second visit to Fabulous Pho. The first visit we did takeout which was delicious! So delicious we decided to stop in for lunch two days later. The staff is friendly, they're very familiar with the menu. This dining area and restrooms are very clean. So far we've ordered the chicken, pho, wonton soup, chargrilled beef Banh Mi sandwich, small order of the shrimp fried rice (which is large enough for 2 people), shrimp puffs-which are very similar to crab raccoons, and the House lemonade. So far we LOVE everything we ordered. I didn't try the chicken pho, but my husband said it's delicious. The portions here are very filling! I don't recommend ordering a glass of water. Best vermicelli I've ever had! The chicken was so delicious, it was so juicy and full of flavor. When I get vermicelli elsewhere, it is typically dry, but that is definitely not the case here. The vegetables were so fresh, the noodles were tasty, and the Thai tea was amazing. I also enjoyed how the fish sauce wasn't too fishy or overpowering, it was light and a little sweet. read more

Where do I start? Half of my family is Vietnamese and I know good Pho. The Broth had a very distinct "Christmas Flavor" like there was way too much cardamom. My family and I just wanted a nice bowl of pho before we head back to Dallas after a cruise. We asked for things that we never got or had to get up and go get ourselves. Came here for a late lunch with some family. Walking inside I was excited because they have a lot of cool decor and it seemed to be a little slow which was good because we were hungry. We were told to sit wherever we liked, so we picked a table and waited for a server to come by. There were a couple servers but no one cane over. After waiting a while, someone came over to take our food orders, we asked if we could also order drinks and she said yes but then they were out of most drinks so it was a little messy trying to get drinks. Fabulous Pho really is fabulous. The place is clean and welcoming the moment you walk in, and the staff are always friendly and quick to help. ST7 and P2 are my absolute favorite things on the menu. The pho has a super flavorful broth with just the right balance of spice and freshness. The beef is tender, the noodles are cooked perfectly, and the plate of herbs and lime on the side makes it easy to adjust things to your taste. The spring rolls appetizer is my go to. Why 5 stars? Because my long-awaited visit was well worth it. --- --- --- I moved to the area about 15 months earlier and bookmarked basically everything within 10 miles that had 4.5 stars or more. Fabulous Pho was one of those places and I've probably considered coming here approximately 217 times since that day. The only reason it took me so long is because I rarely head in that direction for anything. I often head south, which means I end up patronizing plenty of places in the Woodlands, Magnolia, Tomball and Spring. But Conroe, especially this part of Conroe is not usually where I'm hanging out. Unless, of course, I do so solely to come to a fine establishment like this. I was pretty hungry when I arrived and also very torn on if I should go the banh mi route or the noodles route. Why not both? The bread for the banh mi was the softest I have ever had, by far. I basically just ate pork and veggies in between a couple of small pillows. And I very much enjoyed it. In addition, I couldn't resist the urge to order the pan-fried rice noodles. I thought I would box some up and take them home for the wife, but they were too delicious to share. The flavor of the fried batter around the noodles was incredibly addicting and unique. I don't think I've ever noticed this dish on a menu before, but maybe I just wasn't looking hard enough. From now on, when I see it, I'm ordering it. And I'll always remember Fabulous Pho for introducing me to this gem of a meal. Lastly, I ordered a tara boba drink. I really hate to do this as my wife and I have been coming here just about every Saturday for the last 4 years. Something definitely changed. We ordered our favorite lemongrass beef vermicelli but they did not have it so we settled for regular beef. Also ordered spring rolls which never came. My wife found a hair buried in her food. We got our food after others that came after us got their food. When I went to show them the plate with hair, all of a sudden the Vietnamese lady waitress that has been there for a long time does not understand English. Also. They no longer put soy sauce on the table and if you ask for it, they bring you a little container. I am going to give them about 6 months and try them again to see if they react to the feedback. read more

Expect to know what you want to drink when they seat you :). I ordered pho and my partner ordered the banh mi . My pho was really good! I knew it was going to be good once I saw the slightly raw beef! - the beef should cook in the broth, if you are new here. The inside of fabulous pho is big! Plenty of room for everyone! To drink I ordered the soda lemonade - i was originally looking for chahn muoi but they didn't have it :( the soda lemonade was good tho! Reminded me of a fair lemonade. We also ordered the spring rolls and they were bomb! Looked like they were freshly made and tasted like it too, the egg rolls are good as well, they come out super hot! We recently moved about 5 minutes from Fabulous Pho. Our favorite place was down on Sawdust. So we needed a new Pho place. This was our second time to order to go. The woman at the register was super friendly and kind to my 6YO daughter. Our food was fantastic! Piping hot when we got the broth home. Their broth is so rich and delicious. They serve all the traditional toppings with your pho. The broth is just 10/10. We got my daughter the lemon pepper wings. I will say they are pricey for 5 wings but the flavor was so good! I think they even used lemon juice and I loved that. Inside was big and spacious and they have some cool nods to Vietnam inside that are so interesting to see. It's awesome to see other cultures staples. Everything was packaged nicely. We love it and highly suggest it. read more

I have had Pho a couple of times before at different restaurants, and had never been a fan until trying for my "last time" here. I have now been craving it at least once every 2 weeks! Now, I don't always act on that craving, but the last two times I did, was on Tuesdays... when they're closed and I remember AFTER I pull up. Last night being one of those nights. So bummed! BUT.. Oh. My. Gosh. I had the vermicelli charbroiled beef & veggie bowl with egg roll - V4 on the menu. It is absolutely incredible. The bowl is HUGE (and empty - as you can see in the photo. I'm sorry I got excited when it came out and I temporarily lost my mind over how yummy and beautifully prepared it was and how perfectly fresh the veggies were). But allow me to elaborate - the cucumber was perfectly julienned, the peanuts were minced for the best texture crunch possible, the romaine was thinly sliced and the freshest ever, the noodles were al dente - the charbroiled beef was seasoned and had crispy, perfectly charred edges - the sauce was light and thin, PERFECTION. I haven't had a noodle bowl this perfect and fresh in sooooooo long. Honestly - Dallas was the last time. I can't wait to bring my husband back - I feel like I stepped out on our culinary love affair and must make it right immediately. My wife loves the lemon grass chicken vermicelli bowl and says that the sauce and flavor are by far her favorite. The banh mi sandwiches are great and a decent size, plus they arent very expensive.
