Recommend: YES Very good Pho for a really good price! The regular portion size pho is enough to satisfy anyone with a big appetite. All of the food was delicious, the service was good and the ambiance & cleanliness made for a nice dining experience. Based on other reviews, I wanted to try this pho restaurant. I was certainly not disappointed because the prices are very fair (about $11 per regular bow)l. The quality of the food was good as well. The (P1) regular size Pho here was served in generous proportions. The broth was good but slightly lacked that over the top Pho flavor. The meats and tripe were good but unfortunately it didn't come with the meatballs that I always anticipate at Pho restaurants. The noodles and meats were of good proportion and the broth was not salty. The sprouts, basil, peppers and lemon that came with the Pho where fresh and crispy. I give this restaurant two thumbs up! I think that the food was a good value, the staff was friendly and the Ambiance was nice! I definitely would recommend meeting Pho here!

    Appetizer sampler

What a little gem! We ordered a beef pho and an appetizer sampler. Pho was good but didn't live up to the tasty restaurant title. Spring rolls, Vietnamese egg rolls, and other appetizers were fresh and delicious! The mango sticky rice was a super yummy treat! The environment was clean, and vibe is super chill. We'll definitely be back!

This place has always been a gem. Very nice staff and this far, really good food. I typically order the Pho Tai (small) and fresh spring rolls with fish sauce. The Pho is seasoned well, great tasting broth and warms the soul. The meat is tender and fresh. The spring rolls are always fresh and are cut in a way that makes them easier to dip in peanut sauce or my favorite, fish sauce. The decor is quaint and simple which I find common with most Pho restaurants. The place looks and smells clean and good lighting. Give this place a try if you're ever in Magnolia!

My sister introduced me to this place a few months ago and I have been a regular ever since! This little mom and pop restaurant is run by the sweetest couple. They serve the guests and cook everything homemade. I haven't had one thing here I don't like. They do not serve alcohol but have delicious boba teas, milk teas, coffees, etc. Today I tried the Wonton Soup for the first time and was blown away. The broth had such a strong and delicious flavor and the wontons were moist and perfectly balanced. This was BY FAR the best wonton soup I've ever had. Some of my top favorite things to order are salt and pepper wings, salt and pepper tofu, cheese puffs, pork banh-mi, shrimp rolls, and all of their pho. Again, anything you choose will be Fantastic!

I liked the tofu banh mi a lot but the chicken pho was bland. The restaurant was quiet (no music or anything), looked clean and got a little busy doing our time there. We were there for over an hour and got no refills and I had to go up to the bar to ask for the check.

    Salt and Pepper Wings

Ordered Salt & Pepper Wings ! Tasty! Pretty! It's worthy of your time to come give it a try!

The portions of meat and vegetables have dramatically decreased in all the dishes we commonly order. I assume it to keep the prices down.

    Do they have chili oil?

To be honest I don't really know. You can always call them. I know I'll look for it the next time I go back.

We came here and it looked cute inside so we were hopeful. ;that faded fast) We ordered spring rolls, pho, and grilled pork vermicelli dish. First the spring rolls were small and the "grilled pork" was beyond dry. It was like no flavor jerky. I was hoping my vermicelli dish had better meat. (It did not-same exact dry, no flavor pork) Also this was the smallest vermicelli bowl I have ever had. Well let me tell you about my husband's pho. It was the saddest pho set up I have ever seen. 2 slices of jalapeño peppers, 5 small mint leaves and very few bean sprouts. Ridiculous. My hubby said the broth had no flavor either. The sign out front (& on Yelp) said they sell banh mi sandwiches. When we asked our waitress she said they are not selling them right now because the bread got too expensive. Overall-this visit was our first and last. When we leave a Vietnamese restaurant still hungry (even though you ate all your food) there is not a reason to return.

Their Winter melon basil drink is delicious. If you're a texture person, this may not be for you but this aloe, sweet, and slight herbal, textural, drink is simply brilliant! Their banh mis are always pretty solid for the area. During my last visit I tried the filet mignon pho (beef noodle soup). I've tried a few others that I prefer, but bonus points for variety here...I think they even offer brisket noodle soup...when in Texas I suppose. I've only taken my orders to go, so I cannot speak to the dine in experience, but any spot that's tickling my tastebuds while sitting so close to a Brusters ice cream is worth a stop in imo!

The filling is placed in a pan and then a thin layer of batter made with tumeric and coconut milk yellow batter is poured on top. You wrap the lettuce around the bánh xèo/bánh khọt and dip it in the fish sauce. I got the bánh khọt and the bò né. Bánh khọt is like a mini, thicker version of bánh xèo and came with nine pieces. Their bánh khọt was crispy, sweet and savory, and went well with the fish sauce. Although the portions initally look small, they are very filling. The bò né was filling and sizzling when it came out. It also came with a side of salad. The meat was tender. I really liked the bánh khọt and would definitely come back for them. It's nice having an authentic Vietnamese restaurant in our area, close to us, so we don't have to make the trek to Bellaire every time we crave some Viet food!

I couldn't have been more wrong. Xeo Yum (#1) as it turns out is one of the most legit Vietnamese places in Midtown serving up some of the city's best banh xeo and banh khot. Located inside of a Food Hall (#2) in the back corner, they have low-key become a destination and without question, the most popular stall in the entire place. The fan base didn't happen overnight but is a direct result of Chef Cuong Nguyen's commitment to quality Vietnamese fare. Banh Xeo is their signature item, which is also known as a sizzling crepe or pancake made of rice flour, tumeric, and coconut milk. The banh xeo holds well, is perfectly crispy, and is nicely stuffed with an assortment of beans sprouts, shrimp, and some of the best grilled pork belly I've had. Another specialty item that doesn't get enough mention is their banh khot, which is similar but has a mini muffin / cupcake like appearance made in a specialty cast iron mold. This version is wonderfully crispy and pairs perfectly with fresh greens and fish sauce with some funk. It is my favorite item here. Some have argued they also serve one of the best bo ne (#3), the Vietnamese version of steak and eggs served in a skillet. The chunks of beef are nice and tender with just a tad of char, served with two fried eggs, and a banh mi baguette with a mix of butter and spare. Normally I think of spam or sausage included with the meats, but Chef Cuong's spin is with cherry tomatoes. It's a different approach and I'm not mad at it. Folks not looking for this can shoot for bo luc lac, aka shaking beef, which is also recommended. The staff here is sweet, hard-working, and very friendly. They also make a mean Vietnamese coffee and offer free iced self-serve water. The prices are what I would expect in a Midtown food hall, and there's plenty of seating. Anyone checking out the food hall need to make Xeo Yum as part of their eating itinerary. __________ (#1) A play on the Vietnamese sizzling crepe, Banh "xeo" and yum" (#2) Previously the Conservatory and now Stestí Food Hall. The meat tasted like it had been sitting for a while and then reheated it was rubbery, tough, and had that old, off flavor. The broth was also a huge letdown. Pho is supposed to be rich, aromatic, and full of depth, but this one had almost no flavor at all. I even asked ahead of time if the soup would include cartilage, which is usually part of a proper pho, and was told yes, but it wasn't there. What really concerned me was finding fruit flies in the soup. That raised serious questions about cleanliness and food handling, especially if soups are being left uncovered. One thing that also stood out was that, although this is presented as a Vietnamese restaurant, the kitchen staff did not appear to be Vietnamese. While anyone can cook any cuisine, authenticity and attention to traditional flavors really matter, and based on the taste of the food, that authenticity seemed to be missing. When the bill came, I calmly explained everything, expecting at least some acknowledgment or effort to make it right, but nothing meaningful was done. Between the poor food quality, the cleanliness concerns, and the lack of response from staff, this was a very disappointing experience and I wouldn't return.
