My family and I recently ate here today and were pleasantly surprised. We ordered the beef Banh Mi, Chicken Noodle Sizzling Plate, House Special Pho, and Grilled Pork Rice Plate. The banh mi was pretty good and had the same type of flaky baguette that came on the side with the sizzling plate. The pho was left empty since we all liked the broth, and it was a nice-sized portion for the price. The vinegar that came with the rice plate helped add more color to the grilled pork as well. The ambiance of the restaurant was quiet and relaxed. Piano music was playing, and they have a hand-washing station aside from the restroom (which were both clean). Overall, we enjoyed eating here and will probably return.

During my Joan Hunter Best adventure I wanted some tasty Texas food. Well I got it -quick service, open late and worth the wait. Yes, I Highly recommend Great way to enjoy pho, Thai tea then sit by the window to watch the rain flow. 5 star Pho

So glad to have delicious Vietnamese food in a place where there's limited option within a few miles. It's not the best I've had and the meat is very thin and stringy but the flavors are great. The banh mi sandwiches are reasonably priced and the bread is so good. I have yet to try the pho because it's always so hot outside but plan to at some point. The vermicelli bun is delicious as are both the spring rolls and egg rolls. We've also had the fried rice and lo mein which rivals some good Chinese takeout. I also love that they have Korean kalbi which is delicious! Their boba is decent too!

Yummy Pho is a quiet comfy spot to have a decent bowl of Pho. The broth was delicious, noodles w cooked nicely and the Yummy Pho had plenty of meat!! The spring rolls are crispy and served with Nuoc Mam. We were served by a very nice lady (owner I think). She was delightful, knowledgeable about the food and quick with service. The restaurant is clean and decorated in a cute manner. Restroom was clean as well. The Chai boba tea had great flavor. We will be back when we are in this part of town again.

Pretty great pho spot in this area! My husband and I stopped by on a Sunday evening and it was not busy. There was only one other table eating other than us when we stopped in. They had a couple to go orders too. That being said, I do think the wait time was way longer than other pho places we've been to. It took a while for our appetizers to come out and then a while after we finished those for our pho to come out.. service was still good- the people there are super friendly! We had the pan fried dumplings and egg rolls for appetizers. For pho, we had a small chicken pho and the yummy pho. All were super delicious and decently priced! Parking was no issue and the ambiance here is nice and quiet. Would definitely come back here again for the food. Just expect a bit of wait time even based on other reviews and experience.

    1. Service - Not bad, they can use another person to help in the front. However, service is friendly. 2. Price - inexpensive, $4-$12 a dish. Depending on what you may order. 3. Ambiance - This is a cute family owned restaurant in the suburbs. The wall decor is beautiful. There are 4 silk embroidered art pieces hung up on the wall. Chinese embroidery has a long history since the Neolithic age. 4. Food - The pho here is good. Not bad for being up north. I recommend their Eye Round Steak Pho (#P3) in the menu. If you prefer your meat to be well-done, you should request for them to serve the meat inside the bowl. That way, the meat is cooked thoroughly when it reaches the table. Some people like it more rare, so by default, most places serve it on a separate plate. You'll then need to insert the meat into the bowl yourself. 5. Cleanliness - Dining area looks clean. Presentation is important! I love Mom and Pop restaurants. There are more authenticity to the food. I will definitely come back, and I do recommend this place.

The neighborhood gem you've been searching for... Located in an unassuming Kroger strip center, one might expect average, run of the mill mediocre Chinese food, and one would be sorely mistaken. Don't let the simple decor fool you... this Pho is perfection. Halfway through the bowl, you feel how special it is... you know this rich broth was lovingly crafted from scratch, in house, from real bones that have been simmered a full 24 hours. You know it was made from an old, traditional recipe, and you feel lucky you found this bowl... and you don't ever want to live in a world without it. Yes, it's that good. The Yummy Chicken was crispy and flavorful, and the grilled steak (ribeye) hot plate with noodles was outstanding. The steak, prepared Taiwanese style, was tender and flavorful, and the noodles were pure savory comfort. Service was gracious and personable. We are thrilled that the best Pho in the Houston area is right here, just south of The Woodlands. Well worth the drive for anyone in search of the kind of Pho that will keep you coming back for more.

I was happy to get a booth dining alone. There were a few customers there but it was not super busy. It was a clean and calm environment. I ordered the spring rolls and beef Pho. The spring tops were fresh and crispy just the way I like it. Although it was fried it wasn't greasy. My large Pho came out and it had nice flavor on its own. I asked for some chilli oil and the waitress promptly bought some out. My eyes were definitely bigger than my stomach because I had to take more than half to go. It's a win for me because I love left over Pho! I will say my entire dining experience was excellent. The price aligned with the quality food and service. I will definitely be back.

I'm always on the hunt to try new Vietnamese spots and sometimes have to travel to The Woodlands…read morefor work and thought that I would give Pho Viet Tastes a try due to high ratings on Yelp. Searching for a banh mi sandwich with tofu for a quick lunch takeout, I was pleased to see that the restaurant was close to interstate 45 for a quick stop on the way back to Houston (timing is everything to beat the traffic in this area - IYKYK). I ended up ordering both the tofu vermicelli and a tofu banh mi because obviously, you need to try more than one thing. It was fine. Out of the two dishes, the vermicelli was my favorite. It came with a generous portion of noodles, a small lettuce and shredded carrot salad, several large wedges of tofu in a kind of curry sauce, and the classic vermicelli sauce to drizzle over the whole dish. The flavor was good, although what I would consider a slight deviation from traditional flavors, and overall filling. Vermicelli is always a dependable choice and I was satisfied with this dish. The tofu banh mi, however was nothing special. I prefer the bread to be a bit more crispy on the outside with a soft interior and this one was fairly soft all over. Inside, the tofu really needed more seasoning, seemingly cooked without any added flavors except for the fried finish. I added some hoisin sauce but still it needed something more. I'm always eager to try new places but not sure that this one will be a repeat for me.

The food was very good!…read more I was hesitant at first because some of the menu seemed to be fusion items. In a place like Houston, where you can get authentic Vietnamese food, this can be a luck draw if the fusion pays off. However, when I tried the food, it was a very flavorful and worth every cent I spent. Everything was very tasty. The wings were flavorful and crisp. It had a combination of crispy skin seasoned with a rich sauce. The meat was also moist. For a party of two, it was also very shareable because they gave six pieces -both drums and wings. I will say that you really gotta to get in there get your hands and face dirty though! (They did provide a hand wipe!) For the main dishes, the won tonic soup was very flavorful with sweet-and-sour elements with egg noodles that soaked up all this good flavor. The wontons inside were very standard. And the onion was added to provide some balance. Everything was very hardy and filling. My friend had gotten the vermicelli. Which came with crunchy egg rolls, shredded veggies, noodles, and shrimp topped with a fish sauce. It felt very light and refreshing with a balance of textures and savory elements'. Highly recommend as the number one and two selling dishes - it would just depend on if you're in a soup or dry noodle sort of mood. Service was overall fast and friendly. You have to pay by going to the counter. We had a newer waiter though, and it took him a long time to get our orders correctly and he had to get some help. Hopefully they're doing well, but overall, it's a very cute Homie little establishment. Seating fits around 30 around booths and tables.

Shrimp are almost always way overcooked but everything else is delicious. The meatloaf is especially good here. All in all, still my go to Pho spot in the area. I did want to mention that the prices are considerably higher than what they used to be but then again what hasn't risen in cost? I'm just glad the portion and flavor profiles are more or less the same so at least I know what I am getting. Now, the biggest thing that has changed is the service/packing of to go orders. Previously, these used to be a consistent set of young adults doing the service who were attentive and there to do a job well. The past several times I've gone, there is an ever changing group of young adults manning the cashier and wait station who have been slow, confused, and very often forget to pack things in my to go orders such as sauce, pho vegetables, and soups. I do check my order but there are quite a few components to check for and with kids, it's been a bit difficult to fully focus. Just something I expect the restaurant to be able to get right instead of depending on me to have to check each time. Disclaimer: I was in the restaurant business for a decade in my younger days so I understand the role and responsibilities very well. I almost always come on weekdays (which aren't as busy) so there's almost no excuse to not double check the orders or have a more experienced staff member check if you are new.
