I can't believe it's been about 7 years since I have been here and with that I don't even remember what I typed but forward 7 years later and what I can say is the service here was top notch for a Vietnamese let alone Asian restaurant if you know what I mean. The main thing that grabbed me was they actually let you finish your appetizer before sending out the food or whatever you ordered and in this case which was the Pho. After finishing our crispy tofu within a minute or two the soup came out with steam running upside the bowls. My friend who has eaten Vietnamese food for most of his life enjoyed the Pho so that this is the first time I ever remember him commenting on anything Vietnamese. Your restaurant pretty much is cleaned and well staffed for this 18th today of April Saturday 2026. The menu is still extensive from what I remember from last time which is a good thing the only thing I didn't like was I took off the banh xao :( I would say parking is ample considering it's a corner cap sharing the strip with other businesses. Decent pho for the north side of town not having to drive to the veterans memorial or bellaire area. The broth is a little light for my taste but my fellow dining companions liked it. I went on a rainy Sunday afternoon at 11:30AM and the place was packed. The service was really good, they were very attentive. The egg roll appetizer was probably the best part about it. I don't come here for the pho lol. The pho is bland and lacks flavor. They overload on noodles and not so much meat. l come for the vermicelli bowls, the spring rolls and the eggrolls. The eggrolls are not your usual eggrolls. These are rolled in rice paper and fried which gives it a crunchier/chewy texture. The flavor of those are good. I also sometimes get the bowl of meatballs. It's just broth and meatballs to sip on while I eat my eggrolls and spring rolls. Ambiance is very quiet and calm. Like a cafe feel. Nice instrumental music. The service is fast. In my opinion, this place is just okay. My friend and I dropped by on a Sunday night and we were seated right away. For appetizer, we ordered the spring rolls and for the entre, I ordered the Pho with eye round steak and tripe. The spring rolls were fine but I was a little caught off guard with their peanut sauce. The peanut sauce I'm used to is thicker and saltier but this one tasted a little watered down and the consistency was similar to that too. As for the pho, the soup was honestly pretty bland. There wasn't much meat in there either so it was a little disappointing. On a high note, I ordered the Kumquat Sugarcane juice which was a nice refreshment! Tried something different than soup today and wasn't disappointed that I tried something different. The lunch special #15 - tasted good but not a high amount of flavor. Next time I'll try something different. But if you're looking for something not bland but not overtly tasty today's choice was just ok. 9/25/25 update. Still good, and while I enjoy the Pho, I wish it was more like the quality places I've eaten Pho at. Only 2 shrimp in a bowl but many slices of chicken and pork, and the broth is more chicken and salt than a great flavor (like the difference in homemade va instant just add water). Here is another restaurant that I gave a solid four stars. They were pretty close to five stars but the lemon grass beef was totally different that I'm used to trying so I had a knock them down to four stars. I guess everyone can't be perfect. Food: the Vietnamese eggrolls were absolutely amazing and I am pretty sure they were freshly made to order because they came out piping hot. I had to let them cool down for a little bit because like I said they were extremely hot but they were amazing. Five stars on the Vietnamese eggrolls. The hot and sour soup was so good. My gosh that was some of the best hot and sour soup I ever had. Five stars on the hot and sour soup. I'm telling you right now it's full of flavor and very tasty. Here is where they lost star. My main entrée was the lemongrass beef and it was strange. It was not like your normal lemongrass bees. It was kind of tough flavored very oddly. It was not that great. But everything else was amazing. Maybe next time I need to try the pork. I don't know but I was not a fan of the lemon grass beef. Customer service: the customer service is pretty good. Love the pho and their version of general Tao's chicken. But my favorite is the vermicelli bowls with chargrilled beef. We go for lunch and get soup and spring roll, too. They have my favorite hot and sour soup. Everyone's is different but here it's the perfect blend and savory. We do take out often and they package to-go very well. Pan fried rice noodles with seafood - this isn't a dish I can find at every Vietnamese restaurant, and while it doesn't hold a candle to my favorite place, it's still very good. Seafood seemed fresh - no imitation. Noodles are cooked properly. I'm stoked to have a place close by where I can get this dish! Plan to try the pho in the future. I ordered a large Pho Tai which is thinly sliced eye round steak and my friends got the same thing, except one small while our other friend got the chicken (I don't wanna butcher the spelling) pho. I've spent quite a bit of time looking for a pho spot that I like. I've tried probably over 20 places in and around Houston. After all that time spent driving around, I finally found out that one of the best places here is close by my home out on 249. This restaurant is clean and the atmosphere is modern. You can tell that the staff and owners care about the place. The staff are very attentive despite the revolving door of takeout orders and the many dine in patrons. We ordered a coffee that was absolutely delicious and NOT BITTER even though it was strong. The Vietnamese egg rolls are very filling and the filling itself is not bland. The fish dipping sauce it the best I have tried, hands down. They bring out lots of greens to dip with the egg rolls. The pho comes in a large bowl. We asked for meatballs to be added. The meatballs are obviously made in house and don't have that rubbery feel that I've gotten at some places. They're delicious. The broth is fantastic. The meat is all tender and it decent quality. The tendon is actually soft and is the best I've had in the area. Seriously. I'm so happy I live close by. This is going to be forever one of my favorites.
