My favorite thing to get from here is the rice plate which comes with a pork chop, some shrimp, and chicken. The flavor on this fire grilled meat is WOW. Came here to order 2 orders of egg rolls to-go. Asked how many come in an order, the guy stated 4. Total came out to be almost $12. I was thinking they were standard size egg rolls... Nope! Small little egg rolls with absolutely no greens provided. Walked back in the restaurant and asked if I could get some greens. He said "it's extra cost." Gtfo! You've already profited off of mini egg rolls for $12 and you can't even throw in 3-4 pieces of lettuce. Oh, and the pho and bun bo hue isn't even that great. This place really needs to step up their portion size. Who can justify paying the price for ant size bowls and appetizers?! Since the pandemic started,I have been ordering from here via Grubhub. I usually order the mini egg rolls and the bun bo hue,but since it was the first Friday in Lent,I ordered Spring rolls without the pork to start with. Then I had the egg noodle pho with chicken,shrimp,squid and quail eggs. It is so good! It was a pleasant detour from my usual bun bo hue order. The boyfriend had pork and shrimp vermicelli,he isn't Catholic,so he was okay with eating pork. The restaurant has a small parking lot and it kind of makes it difficult if you have a large truck. Mid week dinner stop + I had been craving a nice piping hot bowl of pho since the temperatures have dropped outside a bit...but sadly, what I got was warm, almost room temperature pho. Mind you, it was an hour till closing, and you know Asians hate wasting...also, service was average (as expected), but I clearly asked for NO cilantro, and they brought it out with cilantro!!!...then, instead of making a new bowl, they just tried to scoop out the cilantro, but did a poor job of it, so while I was eating it, I could still taste small pieces of cilantro in my soup. #fail. It wasn't what I was used to at most hole in the wall pho restaurants!...Don't let the interior decor deceive you. People raved (from past reviews) about the crispy egg rolls, but to me, they were miniature in size and crispy at first bite, but after that the flavors just sort of dwindled!...It was overly stuffed, and it's not the flaky, crispy. My wife and I wanted to try something new and interesting and not too far from home since I only had an hour for lunch. Pho Ton came up on her search and we decided to give it a try. The restaurant location is on the corner of a small three-business (?) building and the parking was a weak point. It didn't help that I decided to drive my 1/2-ton truck there either. We were promptly seated, and service was acceptably prompt and pleasant. Looking at the menu I thought that the prices were a little high for a Vietnamese Restaurant and that the location must have something to do with it. Lunch came up to about $35 before tip. Anyway, we persisted and decided to order the dishes in the photos. The food came pretty quickly, and we were done in 45 minutes. Portions were good and despite being a little on the pricey side the spring roll appetizer were also good sized and fresh. It was all nice and fresh and tasty. The grilled pork and chicken in my rice plate was tender and delicious, although cooked in the same sauce. My wife said the vermicelli bowl was nice and fresh and the portion size was good. Everyone had the same idea, to get pho on a cool evening. I went inside and it was really busy. I'm getting a Tai Nam Gau pho. According to the menu that means it has round steak, flank steak, and fatty brisket - how can this be bad!! The table is laden with Sriracha, chili paste and chili oil. It just keeps getting better. Now to get the waiters attention to place the order. The poor guys running around like a chicken with his head cut off. He told me it's gonna be a little while. It can get hard to find good pho in Northwest Houston but Pho Ton is a gem! Broth had a nice richness with a good amount of aromatics punching through. Ordered a Pho Dac Biet which had a great selection of meat cuts. Noodles were cooked well with some chew still remaining. It's definitely slightly on the pricier side for pho overall but I believe it's worth it. The egg rolls and spring rolls were standard and didn't shine in my opinion but the meal shined where it mattered, which was the pho. Had a member of our party that could not eat beef so had a chance to taste the Pho Ga as well which is often overlooked in a lot of restaurants. You could definitely tell they don't skimp on either options as the chicken broth was packed with flavor. Service was great and overall a very pleasant experience. Don't get me wrong, it is not a bad place, and based on how busy it was at lunch I'm sure it's a strong go to option for locals. The positives: Quick, affordable, clean location. All your standard dressings and sauces. The could-be-betters: The broth and meat did not stand out. A bit short on noodles so the end of your bowl gets unbalanced. Also when our check came it was $9 higher than our actual order. The cashier was quick and amicable about getting it addressed and I have no reason to believe it was malicious, but still not a good feeling. I'll get straight to it: I haven't had Viet food that made me smile this much in a long time. Man the service was really friendly, young guy greeted us warmly. We got straight to our orders next time he came around with our drinks (side note: i'm always a fan of places that bring you a pitcher of water haha). I had the Rice Plate with grilled chicken and egg roll (5H), as well as the Grilled Pork Sandwich Banh Mi (1BM). Both dishes were absolutely delicious. the chicken was served in the size of a fillet almost but cooked very tender and broke apart nicely with every bite. The char from the grill was perfect for me as well. The pork banh mi was also delicious, served with the vegetables on the side for your convenience to add however much you desire. Good drink menu and pretty tasty phở as long as you ask for nuớc béo for it. Gỏi cuốn, phở, and boba milk tea were great despite the service that was okay. Something pretty odd I haven't seen in most phở restaurants is that they brought out the herbs for the phở shortly after me and my mom's bowls came out first. Also if you're gonna get any of their boba drinks or any other Vietnamese style drinks they have just know that they'll come out a little sooner since they're pretty busy most of the time and the restaurant is almost full due to the limited amount of seating in there. I've driven by Pho Ton a bunch of times over the last few years on my way to my childhood home and honestly, this was the last place I'd expect to find quality pho. But here I am, eating crow. I ate here on the day after Thanksgiving mostly cause we needed something small and quick, and a lot of other places were closed. The broth, meat, and noodles were all flavorful and well cooked. The noodles are a bit more cooked than what I'm used to, but not necessarily a bad thing. Their meatballs in the soup were also pretty good. My dad also got the chicken banh mi and he liked it enough to tell us to get one the next time we stop by. The day after we stopped by Pho Ton again to pick up some coffees (cafe sua da) and it was really good. The bitterness from the coffee was stronger than from other Pho restaurants and tasted great. I don't come back home very often, but Pho Ton might be seeing my face more now. read more

Overall not bad. Parking was a bit of a challenge it has limited parking and a small lot. There is street parking but not much. Service was very good no issues there. We arrived on a Saturday about 3:30 and getting a seat was easy no problem. While having dinner I overheard the waitress say they close at 4! I was shocked close at 4 on a Saturday and people were walking in so business was not slow. Odd. Nonetheless, I had hot tea, spring rolls, and beef tips for my meal. Everything was very good. I would not say authentic because I'm a bit bias due to most times I eat Vietnamese, I go off Belliar in China Town. This was still good and I would return as well as recommend.
