A delicious meal was had here along with an ok piece of French toast. Seating and service was surprisingly fast for a Saturday morning. I ended up getting the chimichurri hash with the lavender pea tea lemonade. Both delicious!! I also got to try the strawberry tree leches French toast. When looking at the description, I didn't see any mention of tres leches.. we believed it was a mistake on the menu because my friend had the tres leches before and that was totally different. Not bad, just not what was expected. Overall, everything was tasty. I would just be wary of the tres leches French toast not actually being tres leches, especially if it says dulce de leche on the menu! read more

Food was nice and hot. Biscuits and gravy were crunchy, which I loved. Eggs were cooked to order properly. Only thing that troubled me was that the entire beverage menu had no prices on them. I had to ask, only to learn that each one was in fact, a different price. I'm hopeful, they will correct this soon. read more

The front hostess Hannah was very pleasant and friendly as she seated us to our table. We ordered a different plate today some Italian hash and was making a suggestion to the server Angelica who was so polite and kind. She then offered to replace the meal and we explained to her that it wasn't necessary we are always happy here. However, the pumpkin pancake was so delicious Manager Calvin came to us directly and was so nice and professional and wanted to ensure us that sometimes a mistake is made but they take pride in their restaurant and appreciated our comment. Now this is the best if any management experience that my hubby and I have ever experienced together. 5 stars to this establishment. read more

Update: Made another visit to First Watch because I was craving the BEC, and additionally tried the Floridian French Toast. Was super good and the fruit was fresh. Very sub-par experience. Food is mediocre along with service. You'll having missing key ingredients from your dish and wait an extended time for them. Biscuits and gravy is OK. Asked for more gravy. Never came. Handed check when one plate was cleared. Not a fan of being rushed or missing items from orders. For the price you pay, the expectations are higher. Very unpleasant experience. Somewhere between 30-40 minutes to get seated. Then it gets better, another 10-15 min to get greeted at our table. While we waited, we did observe 2-3 of the employees just chatting their life away in the front. I'm pretty sure there are tables to be bussed/food to be run out of the kitchen, guests drinks to be refilled. Definitely saving my money. I treated seven members of my family, four of which were mothers, to a wonderful breakfast for Mother's Day on a Saturday in Houston, we were ready for a long wait to be seated. We were accommodated with a great booth within five (5) minutes. We were treated very well in every way and as usual each of our meals were wonderfully prepared. I like to write about a place while I'm here when the food is so good, the waitress and rest of the staff are so friendly, and when the establishment is so beautiful inside! I ordered the Works Omelet, grits, and a side of sausage. Everything, and I mean everything down to the toast, had its own flavor. The grits were so buttery it literally melted in my mouth. The toast came out with butter spread already on top with a side of jam. I wish I knew what kind of bread they use and what jelly that was. I ate both pieces. And the omelet was its own attraction! So, you know how sometimes you get an omelet, and the insides are minimal. Like it's barely any meat, or onions and mushrooms. So, I ordered a side of sausages just in case. Well, this was not the case here; there were plenty of sausages, ham, mushrooms, veggies, onion, etc One more thing to boot: this place smelled so good. I noticed that as I walked in the door. It was a very pleasant fragrance in the air. But most of all, this is a happy place, a friendly place; it was nice to see the staff joking and playing with each other while helping each other to make sure no one was overwhelmed because it was crowded. But the service was fast, getting everyone situated at their table and food ordered. And a special thank you to my waitress, the cute girl with her hair pulled up in a ball on top of her head. First watch I can honestly say is my new favorite brunch spot close to home. The setup is amazing and can be very intimate! Right when you step in the door you are greeted with amazing service! The restaurant is also very clean. Sitting at the table gave me an old fashioned feel with the coffee cups sitting the table. Our server Shannon was amazing! He made sure our food was fresh and treated us with such kindness. He also let us taste try a few new drinks on the menu! Because they make fresh juice daily here. The wait time was just perfect for food! And very fresh! No more than ten to fifteen minutes. The parking lot is shared with other businesses but the parking is not to bad. Shannon also left us a quote on a card it was such a kind gesture. Definitely will be returning. read more

The restaurant wasn't too busy but very unorganized, or understaffed don't know which. I was by myself and was sat at a table at 1240 at 1252 the waiter came to see if I wanted coffee I said no just water and I was ready to order so I did. At 102 waiter brought water ( so took 10 minutes must have gone to the well) about 15 minutes later food was delivered. Salad had way to much dressing and didn't have much lettuce only 1 small pieces of avocado the half sandwich was ok. There were a lot dirty table. The waiter would interact with other table that have only women for long periods but didn't say more than 10 words to me. Over all don't think I would go back. read more

Came to First Watch for Sunday brunch and it was a pack house. The hostess said it would be a 30 min wait. She asked for my name and phone number so they can send me a text to my phone. We literally waited for 2 mins and our table was ready. Bella was really sweet and took our orders. Very tentative and checked if we need anything. The place is a little chaotic but I didn't expect anything less since it was a Sunday. Food was great! I had the fall special, the Modern Croque Madame. First Watch management must be doing a great work because the service at this location is unique ... the attention to detail and how the servers make sure you're having a good time while enjoying. Your food. Samantha our server the best I've encounter in Texas. But not only her other servers not assigned to our table received us with a smile and welcome greeting. A good communication between them and a a good work environment ... you can see the employee faces when they walk by the co-workers they share the same smile they share with the customers. First Watch serves many breakfast dishes with a small lemon dressed salad which is a great compliment to their rich decadent meals. Secret: a kind server may give you a little take home of their amazing Lemon White Vinegar Balsamic Vinaigrette! (At least ask) I absolutely LOVE that I can get in line before I leave my house in the online app. The staff at the Lakewood location is always wonderful and welcoming. I don't know who is to blame but this isn't the first time this has happened but it will be the last time I give First Watch my money. I ordered a pick up order through Uber Eats. 2 breakfast entrees, french toast and biscuits and gravy. When my boyfriend went to pick up our order, the store employee told him our order had already been picked up. Strange but mistakes happen. So he sits there and waits for them to remake our order. 30 minutes later, he's home with our food. Except not all of our food is in the bag. Completely missing the gravy for a biscuits and gravy meal. So huge letdown there. This location repeatedly messes up entrees or just leaves out pieces of my orders. So unfortunately, this is the last time I will be disappointed by First Watch. Do better guys! read more

Place our orders but when my order came out I was not too happy so I asked for the manager and she was so kind as asked me to place another order. I did and when my food came I was very pleased. It is always so refreshing to walk into a chain restaurant expecting a Ho hum routine experience and being pleasantly surprised all around at the service, menu, food, cleanliness and overall sweet quick stop affair. Coffee was hot but a little on bitter side for my liking. Love having a pitcher of water and coffee at table so I can refill at my pace. Ordered the traditional breakfast with poached eggs, bacon, toast and a sub o fruit for the potatoes. Bacon was crispy and four slices. Poached eggs great. Fruit didn't look vibrant but was still sweet. A note when getting seated they will ask for your number. Perhaps a way of tracking customer trends but I politely asked why they needed it and they said no worries we just have to ask. So if you don't want to give your number, feel free to decline. And paying off the receipt at the table speeds things up. You can even split check. First watch was a great first step into the day. read more

This location is my family's go to for weekend breakfast. The line is always long. One improvement this time was that you can scan barcode on the bill and pay at your table instead of cramping in at the front entrance to pay. However, you should also include Apple pay, even faster! My husband didn't have his glasses with him to enter the credit card online, we ended up paying at the front. They have new menu items, Shrimp & Grits 7/10 (lack of flavor of the grits), Hacienda Hash was 9/10. Service was great. read more

Wow. I just had my best experience at First Watch. I feel like they improved in every area. The QR code on the receipt to pay is such a convenient method. The service was fast and attentive and the food camr out at the perfect temperature. The prices used to seem a little high but it felt like many of the items haven't gone up in years so now they seem perfectly reasonable. read more

We were greeted with a crowded restaurant, slow service, and mediocre food this past Sunday. It had been awhile since my hubs and I went out to brunch or breakfast on a Sunday, but I remembered First Watch being near us, so we decided to go...typically we just toast a bagel and add cream cheese and call it a day. The restaurant was crowded, so the hostess asked us to wait outside and they'd text us when it was our turn to be seated, but social distancing was not enforced. There were too many people dining in, and not six feet apart. Service was incredibly slow, even though our waitress was kind. I ordered the Skillet Hash - Market (veggie) and my hubs ordered a frittata. I'd say it lacked in flavor and my skillet hash was an 80/20 ratio of 80% being potatoes and the rest of it being what was actually supposed to make up the skillet in my opinion. Potato overload. We also ordered a Belgian waffle. I'd say the waffle was the best part of our brunch. It sort of saved the day. I will say the quality and customer service heavily varies upon location, and this location just missed the mark for me. For the price, it wasn't really worth it. Great customer service! My waitress Danielle was very kind and attentive. I liked the set up in the restaurant, it was very clean. The food was good. I had avocado toast, two boiled eggs, and tea. I'm giving it four stars because the boiled eggs were just okay. They didn't taste too fresh, the avocado toast was delicious and they were generous with the avocado! I'll definitely come again and order it with bacon instead of the eggs. The tea was good as well, you get a variety of tea bags to choose from and your own kettle with hot water. read more

I came in here with a party of 6 on a mid Friday morning and the place was PACKED. The establishment was pretty clean. The service was just okay, we had to wait about 5 minutes after getting our food to get utensils to eat said food with, so that was a little inconvenient. The food was just okay. Today for brunch me and my husband we ordered for pickup, veg omelette and for him since he is vegetarian he ordered pesto quinoa without chicken. Which was already priced as it is even we took out chicken. But it's OK. then to make meal little filling he added Avocado slices for extra $2.29. So we were not getting chicken for the same price and added avocado for extra price. That's ok I guess this place doesn't adjust price if your main bulk of dish is taken out. When we received the food, my omelette for $11 and change was full with wheat toast and roasted potatoes on side. His on other end, barely half full for $13 and change. Plate was not even packed for what we paid. And avocado were not even fresh. It was blackened. Definitely can't go back if you are not getting eggs or meat items. I have ordered from this location and the Champions location, and this one seems to have a slight edge over the other. (Both are great.) I always order the farmhouse hash. This is the perfect breakfast and holds me over until dinner. It's comfort food without being unhealthy. This dish absolutely puts a smile on my face each time I have it. I also always have the coffee. It's good coffee for a good cause. When we go back to the office, I might even pick up the big container for sharing. On occasion I've also ordered the green juice (I can't recall the name), which is so refreshing, and the grits (when I'm extra hungry). I'm all in on First Watch. I'd eat breakfast/brunch from here every day if possible. Eventually I'll give a soup or salad a try for lunch. read more

This place is a brunch lover's dream! I'd rate it an impressive 8 out of 10. Staff are friendly and services were fast.

I typically go to the Champion's location, however I felt like this location definitely had better service and food came out quick! I think our server's name was Jenny, and she was AWESOME! She took down orders for our party of 8 people, and everything was perfect. She refilled our drinks without having to ask her, and she just all around had a great attitude. All of the dishes we ordered were great, and none of us had a problem with our meals. Extra toast and condiments were happily given to us without a problem, and all around this location was just so great. We made sure to tip her well as she took care of us so nicely. I am excited to come back. Might be our family's go to location from now on. read more
