    Pumpkin pancake sooo good
    Angie H.

The front hostess Hannah was very pleasant and friendly as she seated us to our table. We ordered a different plate today some Italian hash and was making a suggestion to the server Angelica who was so polite and kind. She then offered to replace the meal and we explained to her that it wasn't necessary we are always happy here. However, the pumpkin pancake was so delicious Manager Calvin came to us directly and was so nice and professional and wanted to ensure us that sometimes a mistake is made but they take pride in their restaurant and appreciated our comment. Now this is the best if any management experience that my hubby and I have ever experienced together. 5 stars to this establishment.

I haven't been to this place in years did not have a good experience the first time not at this location though my wife said let's give it another try and to my surprise it was amazing a complete 180 food was really good. We like the ambience inside as well very calming.

Update: Made another visit to First Watch because I was craving the BEC, and additionally tried the Floridian French Toast. Was super good and the fruit was fresh. Service was also fantastic this morning that we went, wish I remembered the server's name to shout him out because he really was great. Restaurant was very clean and made for a nice morning

I like to write about a place while I'm here when the food is so good, the waitress and rest of the staff are so friendly, and when the establishment is so beautiful inside! I ordered the Works Omelet, grits, and a side of sausage. Everything, and I mean everything down to the toast, had its own flavor. The grits were so buttery it literally melted in my mouth. The toast came out with butter spread already on top with a side of jam. I wish I knew what kind of bread they use and what jelly that was. I ate both pieces. And the omelet was its own attraction! So, you know how sometimes you get an omelet, and the insides are minimal. Like it's barely any meat, or onions and mushrooms. So, I ordered a side of sausages just in case. Well, this was not the case here; there were plenty of sausages, ham, mushrooms, veggies, onion, etc One more thing to boot: this place smelled so good. I noticed that as I walked in the door. It was a very pleasant fragrance in the air. But most of all, this is a happy place, a friendly place; it was nice to see the staff joking and playing with each other while helping each other to make sure no one was overwhelmed because it was crowded. But the service was fast, getting everyone situated at their table and food ordered. And a special thank you to my waitress, the cute girl with her hair pulled up in a ball on top of her head. I don't know why my pictures are not coming up.

First watch I can honestly say is my new favorite brunch spot close to home. The setup is amazing and can be very intimate! Right when you step in the door you are greeted with amazing service! The restaurant is also very clean. Sitting at the table gave me an old fashioned feel with the coffee cups sitting the table. Our server Shannon was amazing! He made sure our food was fresh and treated us with such kindness. He also let us taste try a few new drinks on the menu! Because they make fresh juice daily here. The wait time was just perfect for food! And very fresh! No more than ten to fifteen minutes. The parking lot is shared with other businesses but the parking is not to bad. Shannon also left us a quote on a card it was such a kind gesture. Definitely will be returning.

The restaurant wasn't too busy but very unorganized, or understaffed don't know which. I was by myself and was sat at a table at 1240 at 1252 the waiter came to see if I wanted coffee I said no just water and I was ready to order so I did. At 102 waiter brought water ( so took 10 minutes must have gone to the well) about 15 minutes later food was delivered. Salad had way to much dressing and didn't have much lettuce only 1 small pieces of avocado the half sandwich was ok. There were a lot dirty table. The waiter would interact with other table that have only women for long periods but didn't say more than 10 words to me. Over all don't think I would go back.

Came to First Watch for Sunday brunch and it was a pack house. The hostess said it would be a 30 min wait. She asked for my name and phone number so they can send me a text to my phone. We literally waited for 2 mins and our table was ready. Bella was really sweet and took our orders. Very tentative and checked if we need anything. The place is a little chaotic but I didn't expect anything less since it was a Sunday. Food was great! I had the fall special, the Modern Croque Madame. It's one my favorite and definitely would get it again.

One thing that most Houston and nearby places have is the lack of good service ... First Watch management must be doing a great work because the service at this location is unique ... the attention to detail and how the servers make sure you're having a good time while enjoying. Your food. Samantha our server the best I've encounter in Texas. But not only her other servers not assigned to our table received us with a smile and welcome greeting. A good communication between them and a a good work environment ... you can see the employee faces when they walk by the co-workers they share the same smile they share with the customers. We will be back for sure! ... this service is priceless!!!!

The place has a very antique, vintage vibe--lots of charming, random décor that makes it feel like a cozy hidden gem. I ordered a small turkey sandwich, which originally comes with just turkey, cheese, and mayo, but I asked for lettuce and all the extra fixings. They added everything just the way I wanted. I also got a cup of chicken and rice soup, chips, and it came with a cookie. My brother ordered a medium Ultimate BLT, the chicken tortilla soup, and a side salad. We also grabbed drinks--though options were limited to sweet tea, lemonade, or water. Altogether, the bill was around $40. Once we sat down, the staff brought our food out quickly. Service was great the whole time. The medium sandwich was huge--definitely explains the price point. The small sandwich was a good regular size, but if you're really hungry, go for a medium or even a large. My brother loved his meal (he's visiting from San Francisco, so that's saying something!). I personally didn't care too much for the chicken and rice soup, but everything else was solid. The salad came with ranch and was fresh. It never got overly crowded while we were there. They also sell frozen casseroles and other goodies, which is a nice bonus. Overall, it's a cute little spot with good food, generous portions on the sandwiches, and friendly service. To be fair, the staff was hustling hard--everyone looked like they were running on pure adrenaline trying to keep up, and they were still friendly despite the chaos. No complaints there; they're clearly doing their best. The place itself is tiny and feels cramped even when it's half-empty. Tables are squeezed together, and the ceiling (yikes) is absolutely caked with years of dust and cobwebs. I couldn't stop staring up at it while I waited, and it honestly made my skin crawl a little. Menu is huge and looks promising, but I just wanted a simple London fog (it's not even listed, but most coffee shops can make one). What I got tasted like faintly-earl-grey-flavored hot water with a splash of milk. I watched them make it--they literally just dropped a tea bag in a cup, poured hot water, added a quick shot of vanilla syrup, and handed it over. No steeping, no real effort. For almost $6, it was honestly insulting. I finished maybe a third of it out of politeness and bolted. Two stars instead of one because the employees were trying and the place has clearly been a neighborhood staple for a long time, but everything else felt tired and neglected. I won't be rushing back.

I was pretty annoyed at this point because how long does it take to throw some veggies together on a sand which!! I think he noticed at this point so he apologized to me again and said " I just told them to make it". At this point I was super annoyed, but I just waited. Meanwhile I waited I also noticed other customers had walked in and ordered a handful of desserts and it looked like they had to go back up to the counter because they were missing some of their order. When I drove around I asked the young lady at the window if she was who I was speaking to over @the intercom, she said no and asked why. Her voice sounding familiar, by the way. When I explained she looked around pretending to be perplexed, before asking me to hold as she closed the drive thru window. A few minutes later the owner appeared in the window greeting me with, "Did we make you mad today?" No hello, just this odd question. My response, "Why would I be mad, only dogs get mad?@" He then asks what happened. I explained. His response was, "Oh she didn't mean it like that." Well, I don't know how else she meant it. The intercom is shoddy, she could not hear me, I repeated my order twice at her request each time speaking a little louder and she says, "I don't need to yell at her." His response again, "She didn't mean it that way, she's one of my best employees and we are taking care of your coffee today." The sweetness is well balanced and the inside of the scone is anything but dry. I've tried so many different flavors of their scones but the one that had me in a chokehold was the peach. Peaches aren't exactly my favorite fruit (especially in dessert) but the peach cobbler scone at Kolache Cafe is fantastic.
