I definitely recommend this place. Every time I enter, the staff immediately welcomes me , and lets me choose where to sit. ...Lukewarm Soup? My partner and I came here because we were craving a hot bowl of pho--the perfect comfort food to combat the harsh bite of cold weather. We ordered the Large Combination Pho to share - it was first noticeable that the large bowl is the size of most small bowls at other pho restaurants, but that wasn't the biggest issue... When I went to take a sip of the broth, it was lukewarm and my partner agreed. The flavor of the broth was good, but seeing as the soup was barely warm made it less appealing. I also wondered how the rare beef was cooked if the soup wasn't hot. The cup of coconut water I ordered, was filled up only half way. When I requested steamed bean sprouts, the server thought I was trying to order steamed buns. I had to explain what bean sprouts were serval times before he understood what I was talking about, so there was a noticeable language barrier. Also, steamed bean sprouts are pretty common practice for pho restaurants, so I found it odd when he told me they don't do that. Ultimately, my experience at Datpho fell short of expectations. The portions for both food and drink were underwhelming to say the least and the lukewarm food was pretty disappointing. read more

This place happened to be in the area, we stopped in for lunch. The restaurant wasn't busy. Our server was nice, although there was a language barrier. I ordered the A8. Summer Rolls(2), which I didn't realize came with parsley on the stem. This was a pain in the "A" double snakes to eat. I felt like a rabbit - without the long stems it was delicious. I also enjoyed a large order of the P6. Filet Mignon & Well Done Flank Tai Nam. which was pretty good. i do wish I had more noodles. My order came with bean sprouts, jalapenos, lime, and basil. All of which was very fresh. This place must be popular, and while dining I noticed many customers coming in for takeout. This is a nice Pho restaurant tucked away behind some trees on Louetta. The restaurant is pretty big and, oddly, the service desk is pretty far from the door. I've been here twice and both times I was never really blown away by what I got but it was always good enough to satisfy my pho cravings. I got the wonton soup with meatballs added in and while they gave me a pretty decent amount of wontons, I was disappointed by how small they were. Also the meatballs were more like meatball slices. That being said, they have a pretty diverse menu so there's a lot of stuff to try out. I'd recommend giving this place a try if you're nearby. read more

Nestled in a nearby shopping strip is this little gem. Authentic Vietnamese cuisine with a limited, focused menu, it serves up decent pho and vermicelli bun. Vietnamese egg rolls are served in groups of three but these are twice the size of their traditional counterparts and are more than adequate. There's nothing fancy here but decent, delicious food. A shoutout to my server today who was on his first day as a waiter. He was friendly and concerned that his English was inadequate having recently immigrated from Vietnam. Unfortunately, i have to take time out of my day to warn Spring customers of an actual biohazard. Whilst eating at Dat Pho on Louetta, expecting comforting viet food, i found two hairs in two seperate dishes. before i had found said hair, the full serving crew (of 5 people) continuously harassed our table to the point i had to walk outside to take my minute phone call before even ordering. The simple question asked of our server was if i could have cabbage on the side, he said up charge i agreed assuming around $2. Shortcut to brining out the food, he brought me an entire plate of veggies for $5. Not that i mind the money, the service is definitely all over the place and management needs to start conditioning the servers to be actually sociable and problem solving. After we found the hair, obviously rejected our food and pushed it aside, the service crew that was harassing us started avoiding our table! Even when the busser was confronted about the hair, she said absolutely nothing, even when the manager was, absolutely nothing said. This place is disgusting and is proud of it it seems!
