The food is good, the service is shoddy. Every time I go here, I feel lost. I've been here several times but they do not have an order or consistency of how they treat their customers. They don't have someone consistently that seats you, comes by to take your drink order, and comes by to take your food. I feel like every time I need something I need to flag down a waiter since hardly anyone comes by to check if everything's okay. Several times I've eaten there I've had to take the check up and pay for it but I've also seen people paying from their table. My advice is don't mind the service, and enjoy their food. We order out to avoid the confusion of eating there if we're not that hungry. The last time we ate there, several people approach the table asking us to purchase roses for a hospital so I did not appreciate it being loitered to. As an owner of a business, you would think they protect their customers and shoe away the scam artist but they just allow this... What is this? The front doors of Walmart?? Again, solid food but just don't expect normal service. read more

Perfectly large "small" portion of pho. I'm pretty sure my body just went from 70% full of water to 100% full of broth- there's that much soup! I ordered a small #4 ($9) to go, which includes beef, rare beef, tendon and tripe. There were 3 containers: 1) Noodles, onions/green onion, and the meats 2) soup 3) baggie full of bean sprouts, jalapenos, basil, and lime. They do not include Sriracha or hoisin sauce, so if you don't have any lying around, be sure to ask for a sauce container on the side. The soup is was a little on the salty side, but it tasted so good. Maybe full of MSG, but that's the good stuff! Once you add the noodles to the soup, the texture became so much softer. I added all the toppings to the noodles plus the Sriracha and hoisin and it went straight to the heart. I'd definitely recommend this spot, especially because it's not too busy. read more

Overall: I came here to try something new and different...so this place was recommended since I was trying to find a Vietnamese restaurant nearby. It was just ok. Parking: No trouble in finding parking since they have a parking lot in the plaza. Interior: It's nice. Unlike the other family style restarant settings, this one has a nice clean floor plan feel to it. Service: I came on a weekday, so we got seated right away. They even have a service button when you're ready to order (just like the ones you'll find in Korean restaurants) Food: We ordered the pho and a vermicelli bowl. The noodle is different from the other Vietnamese places I tried (Golden Deli, Saigon Flavor, Vietnamese Restaurant)...and I'm not a fan of Pho Ha's noodles. The soup of the pho was good and the vermicelli bowl was just the usual. So it was..meh..ok. Price: Both orders were under $10. Rating: Just...ok. Like the service and interior. read more

Pho Ha - Pho & Vermicelli bowl | price: under $10/each - Vietnamese Near Me - Arcadia, California

What I ate: Beef vermicelli bowl, egg rolls, goi cuon Visit date: December 26, 2017 First time? No. Sooo...I had been to Pho Ha once before and I remember that it was relatively decent. I either remembered incorrectly, or they just got really bad. My family and I came here for lunch and it was a poorly orchestrated event. They got orders wrong, the main dishes came out too spaced out (which would be fine if it was family style, but the entrees were for individual people), they missed my nephew's order, and many of us were disappointed in the taste of our dish, including myself. I had the beef vermicelli bowl which was lackluster in flavor. It tasted 'watered down' - if a noodle dish can taste that way. I ate a few bites and found myself thinking of ways I could recook the dish to make the leftovers taste good. Whoops... Perhaps this place is better if you are in smaller group. Or if you order not the vermicelli bowl. ::shrug:: read more

Very good pho place, soup was flavorful meat and noodles was on point, and they open until 10pm! One hour later than most places! Other than their pho I highly recommend their charbroiled pork rolls. So flavorful with all the goodies of that of a Shrimp rice paper roll. read more

Service is lacking here. The girl who took our order just came up to our table with no greeting. Just stood there with a blank stare even when I had said "Hi!". Ordered egg rolls with order. Never came out. Same with my side order of onions. Had to ask for it when the pho came out. I tried to get another server's attention-he was right in front of us. I know he heard us, but was ignored and he walked away. Will not be back. read more

First time coming to this place. Honestly the food was beyond amazing I had an order of number 16 which is rare steak. The food was perfect. I can't wait to try it again. Along with your noodles and where steak soup, we had lots of cilantro, jalapeño, beans sprouts, and other condiments along with the soup. I cannot emphasize how good the food was. I would've gave this rating a five but I am giving it a -1 stars for bad service. I feel like we had to ask one times too many for extra cilantro and jalapeños. And also we did not get water refills when our cups were empty. Another thing I really love about this place is that it feels very spacious and clean. I will admit that the hostess was very nice as well. The shopping center location is also pretty nice, the area is very clean. read more

Pho Ha - Three orders of #16. Which is noodles with rare steak. - Vietnamese Near Me - Arcadia, California

Walked here from my hotel with my coworker. Service is poor here. They seated us and forgot about us in the back. They only realized to take our order when they were seating someone else by us. The pho was not that bad. My noodle was overly cooked, though. I asked the waitress if we could have our check and she said yes, but then she never came back with it. The place wasn't busy and she had just forgotten to bring it to us. We ended up walking up there to pay. She was behind the counter on her phone. Overall, service could be better. But I would be back for pho if I was in the area again. read more

What happened to this place? I usually come in once or twice a month but lately, there seems to have been changes in staffing and their food and service. Maybe under new management? The food used to be good; broth used to be flavorful. Good portion of meat in the soup; love the tendon. Spring rolls are good, too, and they give you four rolls; but this last visit, they seem to have used those pickled shredded carrots (i think) instead of fresh ones. Caught me off guard but it wasn't, too bad. The peanut sauce was a different story, however. It used to be thick and not runny, with crushed peanuts. During my last visit, the peanut sauce was runny and watery with whole peanuts! Did they just give up on food prep? The Vietnamese coffee (caphe sua da?) was watered down, too. It didn't have that strong coffee taste that Vietnamese coffee normally has. Tasted more like flavored water instead of coffee. One of the waitress, never seen her before so must be new; she was loud, singing even at times while working. How about letting us eat in peace? I get that this is a good and cheap place to get your pho fix; but this restaurant used to be good with better staff. read more

This will always be my go-to spot for pho, is it sooo good. They're naturally made oj and smoothies are amazing too.

This restaurant is horrible! My boyfriend and I got food poisoning, the next day we were literally on the toilet most of the day and throwing up too! We had the chicken bowls, egg rolls, and combination fried rice. Do not waste your money here unless you just have a need to clean your system out read more

We wanted to give this place a try since it was close to our house. It's sad to say, but this place lacks so much flavor in their food. Not only that, their service wasn't the best. If you're craving pho or Vietnamese food, I'd suggest you drive further. read more

I come here to eat. I expect zero service after I get my food. With that said, I have walked out of here multiple times because their service is so bad they don't even give me water even after I have asked multiple times. They do it on purpose too especially the fat girl with glasses and her other fat friend. They hate the world so they take it out on the customers. I watched them after I asked "hey can I get water at least, I've ordered my food already and saw u guys served 4 other tables that came after me". She gave me this irritated look and kept walking. I watched them and they can see me too. They talked and was sure they just wanted to piss me off more. I tried 3 more times and then finally left. I wish this place would shut down. Too bad it is 5 mins away from me and sometimes I get too lazy to drive 20 mins to the next pho restaurant. If management reads the yelp reviews. YOU GUYS SUCK. TRAIN YOUR SERVERS. IF THEY DON'T WANT TO WORK, HIRE OTHERS WHO WANT TO. THERE ARE PLENTY OF SERVERS WHO CAN AT LEAST SMILE AND BE A DECENT HUMAN BEING. HIRE THEM AND GET RID OF THE 2 FAT SERVERS WHO WOULD GIVE ATTITUDE IF YOU ASK THEM FOR WATER. read more

I've been to the Rancho location of Pho Ha and it wasn't too bad. I was looking for a local spot that had Vietnamese coffee and when this location came up and the fact that it was close to home I was really excited. It was Saturday morning and their Yelp says they open at 9:30 am. When I left I got there around 9:50 am and the inside was completely dark with the doors locked and no one inside. I thought maybe the hours on Yelp were wrong, but I look and in huge letters they have their hours on the front glass and it says 9:30 am There were a couple girls sitting off to the side and I wasn't sure if they worked here and were just waiting for someone with a key to show up, but they just sat there and stared at me. Then two other women joined them and I honestly didn't want to waste any more of my time, so I left and took my business elsewhere. This is really disappointing because I've been looking for a local spot to get Vietnamese coffee from and wanted to come here for lunch to try more of their food, but if they can't take their business hours seriously, then maybe I shouldn't take this spot seriously. The location and seating area looks really nice, so I might give this location a shot in the future, but for now I'm just really annoyed with my recent experience. read more

One of my fave Pho places in Arcadia area. They are currently open for dine-in outside seating patio during COVID. Waiter had on his mask and face shield, and so did customers who were not eating. They should put some background music on in the patio, but other than that, area was clean and had a nice breeze. Everybody sat at least a good 6 feet from each other. Good, fresh pho and Vermicelli. Pho broth is flavorful and not oily. We come to this location pretty regularly. read more

I live in Dallas, but get out to this area for work about every 6 weeks or so. This is my 4th time to eat Pho Ha and the food is decent...Pho has a really nice flavor and overall is good. BUT: The staff has been generally disinterested or not particularly friendly 3 out of my 4 times. And 2 out of my 4 to-go orders have been wrong but I didn't discover it until already back at hotel. Pretty annoying. A nicer/warmer front staff would go a long way and getting my order right would be nice also... read more

The service here is hit and miss. I been here where the guy server who took my to go order was great-smile, and even ask if I wanted water. Usually my go to pho spot since it's close to home. The food is good, but honestly all pho taste the same to me. Idk what's the deal with my taste buds and pho. but all I know is the soup was great, along with there spring rolls and egg rolls. The only thing is service is never consistent esp when I ask for the check, every time is different. Either we have to get up and pay at the register or I pay at the table. Gets a little confusing. I absolutely love this place! I've gone many times in the past few years and will continue to go. Food is the bomb dot com and is very $$$ friendly. No lie about that... BUT.. Customer service is just 'OK'. Everyone always seems a bit grumpy, never check up on you to see if everything is going good during your visit and no matter how many times you press their 'service' buttons, they never come in a timely manner. Their food is the only thing that keeps bringing me back. read more

This place has deteriorated on quality and service. Food was average for a Vietnamese restaurant but dine in service was awful. servers were rude to us. They do not take orders based on when you arrived. They serve customers who speak their language first so if you only speak English you will wait. They were unapologetic on the delay. You should go somewhere else since there are a lot of choices. read more

My aunt found this place on yelp not too long ago, and decided to give it a shot. Her family has been back 3 times since. Parking is a cramped private lot, but it wasn't difficult. We were seated immediately at what looked like a clean table, but when I put my elbows up, they came away sticky. The many servers were so attentive that it was almost uncomfortable. I felt like they were watching us eat the whole time. I didn't look too closely at the menu, but from what I saw, this place is pricier than other pho restaurants. I mean, over $8 for a bowl of pho tai? The broth itself wasn't that great to me either. I did enjoy the sizzling luc lac plate. The beef was so soft and flavorful. I just didn't like that the plate was mostly veggies. I got to try some of their red, tomato rice. It was oily with just a hint of tomato. Very disappointing. To wrap off my meal, I ordered a dessert drink, the jelly and fruit one. I was thrown off by the boba in it, but I figured it was thrown in for variety. The boba, as expected from an icy dessert, was hard. The drink itself, I was expecting the flavor of coconut milk but instead I was hit by artificial syrup. It made it unpleasant to drink. I didn't finish it. Overall, this place isn't my first choice but I'm sure I'll be back anyway since my family seems to like it. read more

Well this place turned in to poop. I am pretty sure they have new management. Even with the additional servers (5-6) walking around the place you could not get any service. Waited 20mins to get our two bowls of pho... The bell button that is at your seat is worthless, they see/hear it. I see them see the number blink on the wall but nothing. Then finally when someone does come over he did not know if they had messed up our order (small or large bowl of pho...) Sadly to say I would rather drive the extra miles in traffic to come back here again. read more

Coming here for many years they never disappoint. Pho is so good and anything else you order

I came here in hopes of satisfying my craving for pho, but I sadly left the restaurant without. Usually I expect a strong, aromatic experience with pho; my bowl fell a little short. I didn't taste too much star anise (which usually is the pungent spice I'm looking for), and it was not salted enough. It was a little bland. And the corn in the vegetable pho was clearly from a can. If you are a pho fanatic and want a very flavorful broth, I would recommend trying elsewhere. Service was thankfully quick and nice, because it's a push button service. I just prefer a better executed pho broth. read more

0 star service 1 star for decent food The service here is sooooooo bad. When I walked in, a waiter made eye contact with me and didn't even ask how many people were in my party so I assumed I had to write my name down on the waitlist (even though there was no wait). As I was writing my name down, a waiter gestured me and my family to follow him. The restaurant itself is pretty clean and the food was decent but their service was horrible. A waitress with glasses came up to us while we were still looking through the menu and said "can you guys hurry up and order?" Uhhh what? We can't look through the menu to figure out what we want to eat???? After we were done ordering, my brother decided to change his order from a small bowl to a large which didn't seem like a problem to me. A quick scribble on the order sheet takes two seconds to do. However, the waitress shook her head and gave us a dirty look as if changing the order was so hard to do. On top of that, when I asked for the check, the same waitress did nothing but stare at me through her tiny glasses. I swear if I were 20 feet tall, I would've stepped on her like an ant. Don't come here, their service will ruin ur appetite. read more

Only Vietnamese place I've tried in the area so far and was pleasantly surprised. My favorite is the banh khot (mini Vietnamese pancakes) which is shrimp and amazingness. The bo luc lac (shaken beef) comes out on the sizzling pans, imo it's alright but everyone else seems to enjoy it. I was super excited for the banh beo bc it's hard to find but it was disappointing. And the bun bo hue was bland. I've never tried the pho here bc I'm not a pho person. read more

I really dont know how to feel about this place. Boyfriend, Boyfriend's dad & I were walking around the area trying to find a place to eat for dinner. We stumbled along this Pho restaurant that was walking distance from our hotel. Initially, I saw that they offered out door seating. It was also maintained/kept very clean! Came inside and saw what other people were eating. Their portions are HUGE. And for the price?!? You can't beat. I ordered vermicelli, boyfriend got some steak on a sizzling plate & boyfriend's dad got a viet bibimbap?? Seafood in a clay pot. Also got shrimp spring rolls! Portions are HUGE and reasonably priced. Got our food. I couldn't finish because the bowl was too much. I couldnt even get to the spring rolls. After we ate, I got a pineapple smoothie. Boyfriend & Dad got 3 color drinks. I personally didn't like mine. The boba wasn't fresh and soft. The boys' drinks didnt have coconut milk and was pure ice & just beans. I wouldnt recommend having their drinks from here. Less than 2 hours later when we reached our hotel my boyfriend and his dad realized that they were growing hives!! Spots appeared all over my boyfriend's body and his dad was getting itchy as well. We assumed it was the spring roll because that was the only thing i didnt eat and I didnt get the hives. I immediately both gave them claritin because that was really concerning to me. Don't let the place fool you. read more

I don't like the Pho Ha in Rowland Heights, so I'm not sure why I thought I would like this one. To be fair, the food isn't bad. The pho isn't bad. It's just not the best I've had and I've had much, much better, and I prefer the previous Pho Kitchen much more. The menu has a variety of dishes, including many Chinese-fusion plates, but I always go with my usual Pho Tai. The regular bowl is the perfect size for me and there's plenty of protein, but I don't think the quality of the meat is quite there. The broth also isn't as flavorful or strong as I like it to be. Service is inattentive. As Charlene C. mentioned in her review, this location has not had any success in keeping any business afloat, and I highly doubt Pho Ha will stick around for long. read more

The order: Banh khot (fried rice cakes cups with shrimp and coconut milk)-nice coconutty flavor Pho tai gan with extra gan on the side (pho with beef and tendon) - nice noodle texture and broth tasted good, gan was nicely sliced and tender Hai nam chicken (chicken with rice hai nam style) Nem cuon (pork spring rolls) - did not have crunchy stuff inside but tonight I didn't feel like it anyways. The service - ordered, dropped off everything, didn't come back to check but that's Vietnamese dining. Can't complain. Overall I enjoyed myself. read more

Stopped by for a late lunch and it's not crowded. They have patio seating. We ordered broken rice with BBQ pork and it was delicious.

Ok this place is seriously underrated. Maybe I live in 626 and am spoiled by good pho (not so much in Arcadia but 626 in general) so even the "bad pho" is still pretty good..... um I dunno where I was going with that but Pho Ha serves some pretty damn good pho! My parents brought me a take-out bowl of pho from here once before and maybe I should stop doing take-out for pho because it is meant to be enjoyed super steaming hot and fresh...... but anyway I thought it was good but not memorable. I came here one recent morning and it was my first time at the restaurant. It's definitely nice for a pho restaurant. Nothing janky, nothing dirty, and everything is organized and clean. They even had Christmas decorations up. Usually if a pho place is too clean their food is probably crap. Jk that's not the rule but it's rare to see a pho joint be this nice/clean. So that's a plus on top of it being a 2 minute drive away from my house. My other 6 friends all ordered pho and finished and enjoyed their bowls. We all got larges because even though some of us can't eat (or shouldn't eat because dieting ahem cough me), it is just such a good deal. I believe a large is 45 cents more than a regular (which totaled to $7.90 for a large)............. uh yah I'll take it. Their pho is good. It seriously was super steaming hot for half my meal. I think that makes your pho more enjoyable for some reason. Burning your mouth with hot soup is just my kind of thing lol. It's not the best pho I've ever had, so sorry if that 5 stars was misleading, but it's definitely really really good. Also got a to-go order for my bf, a rice dish with baked egg, bbq beef, and pork - got a bite of it and REALLY liked it. So to sum it up: nice/clean restaurant, reasonable prices, REALLY CLOSE TO MY HOUSE (yes that's just for me), and GOOD food. read more

Horrible service. Came in and looked like there was a wait, the host totally ignored us when I asked if there was a wait and he went ahead and seated other people. Finally got seated and waited so long for them just to come take our order, and currently still waiting for them to bring our food. Never been to a pho place that takes 15+ minutes to bring food. Oh and don't bother using the service buttons cause they ignore that.
