Dropped by for lunch. First timer. Lots of open tables so I chose to be close to the window. The service was efficient. The server take my order right away. They have a very extensive menu but I do have my favorites. I had the spring rolls for appetizer but it came out the same time as my Pho. It was really crispy and tasty with the usual lettuce and fixings. Also had the Chicken Pho. The broth was just ok. It went well with some sriracha and plum sauce. It was a nice quiet and pleasant experience. read more

My fiancé and I have been going here since the day we started dating! They've been in business at the Mccully shopping center for quite some time now. They are located right on the second floor! Parking is available in the outside parking lot, but they also have a downstairs area with some stalls open as well. When you enter, someone will tell you where to sit and provide you with menus. This restaurant is family-ran, and many may not be very good at speaking English. That said, please don't think they're being rude to you if they barley talk to you. We ordered 4 rolls of spring rolls. When this came out, it comes with some vermicelli noodles, some lettuce, mint, and a fish sauce for dipping. Spring rolls were crunchy, and sauce never disappoints. I love putting the roll in a lettuce leaf with some vermicelli noodles, some of the mint leaves, and the basil leaves (this is usually for your pho). I usually order the medium pho with beef balls and rare steak. The medium size is very filling, and the broth is very flavorful! If need be, you may put some fresh herbs like basil and bean sprouts, as well as some of the sauces you're provided with on your table (chili garlic sauce, hoisin, and chili oil). Overall, the speed in which the food was provided was very quick, and it tasted amazing! My fiancé and I usually just go up to the front to pay for our meal. read more

The Shaken beef was really good! Definitely recommend. Fried mochi with egg wasn't bad, but probably wouldn't order again. Maybe worth just trying once? Overall this place has some really great food. Me and my gf love coming here. Good service read more

I'm a sucker for pho and good spring rolls. I have tried many places but always come back to this one. My go to is their oxtail pho, and a order of spring rolls with cucumber. They by far have the best spring rolls I have ever had and is good size. I love how they aren't shy when is comes to the side veggies. The service is always good and the last time I went the owner helped me and was absolutely amazing. Very good portions and a decent price. My favorite pho restaurant by far. read more

Pho was perfect ! Our server was an elderly man and he was awesome ! Would've been a five star if the other young server wasn't so cut throat. As we get refills on our drinks, we always say thank you, even if it's asking just for a straw. It's just in our nature for good manners. Well, the young server with the glasses took over for the elderly man. As he finished up topping off our waters he told my son (6 yrs old) before he could say anything, "YOU GOT NOTHING TO SAY?" Idk know what to say, but who does that ? Who speaks like that to a 6 year old ? Anyways, besides that last 2 minutes of disgust with the young server, we had an immaculate time here with our first server (elderly man) we definitely will be back, and will be correcting this young man on our next visit. read more

Decided to give this place a try since not many places open at late hours. Should have stayed away when I saw the 3-star review on Yelp! We ordered some pho noodles, each costed almost $20 and should have come with romaine lettuce. Well, there was hardly any lettuce! I ordered a seafood flat noodle, the shrimp tasted old, the squid and shrimp balls were tasteless. The broth was blehh, tasteless also. And I love Vietnamese food. This has left me a bad taste in my mouth, don't think I want to eat pho again for a while!!! read more

Vincent was super welcoming and treated us like homies. We went on the first day from the mainland (California). The pho was authentic and the meat was fresh. The cha gio (eggroll) was on point it was good but might be too much pepper for other folks. Thai tea was also legit just the perfect amount of sweet and tea flavor. Food came out fast, Vincent the host kept checking in us to see how we were. 100% recommend!! We got the pho dac biet, and tai sach which wasn't on the menu but Vincent got it done. Great place and service. Bomb food. Not sure why this place got a 3 star it should be the full 5. read more

The oxtail soup was not cooked well enough. Also, there was roaches on the wall and it was crawling all over the utensils. Period I would never eat there again. read more

Pho for any occasion. The pho here is so good, there are not many competitors keeping it real with genuine Vietnamese flavors. They have everything you could want in a Vietnamese restaurant, from beer to extra sauces on the side. Pictured is the way I enjoy pho, spicy with a flavorful broth. 5 stars brah! read more

Came here for the first time because i was in the area, looking for a place to try out. The menu is viewable by scanning a code on the table and it'll pop up on your phone. My son, husband and I got lemon grass chicken, spring rolls and bbq chicken. Everything was fresh, tasty and well portioned. Lots of seating, lots of different food on the menu. The service was a bit slow. We waited a while to get our check and never got a refill on our drinks. read more

This place is delicious!! I had a hankering for some breakfast pho and found this a convenient walk from my hotel. Some reviews below seem overly harsh about their style of service - the person who served me was no frills and efficient and totally polite. I got the mochi + eggs (basically fried rice cakes with eggs and a delicious soy sauce) and the vegetable and tofu pho. Managed to finish the pho and took the rest of the rice cakes for later. Highly recommended for incredibly fresh and flavorful Vietnamese. read more

Pho 777 is located on the second floor in the plaza on the corner of Kapiolani Blvd. and McCully St. Since this place was open late we decided to go after a UH basketball game to feed our Pho craving. Mission accomplished! We ordered our usual rare steak pho and it totally hit the spot. The portion of the medium was a lot. I was happy to see so much noodles in my bowl! I was also hungry so I was even more happy when our food came so quickly too. We didn't try their summer rolls but will order it next time we come. I'm not sure why this place has only 3 stars but for me, my dining experience here was great. In and out within 35-40 mins, service was fine (and fast), and pho tasted good. Parking can be a challenge at this plaza. Certain times the lot can be full (with a lot of tight stalls too). There is additional parking under the building itself but I would always try the lot up top first. read more

I used to like this place a lot. It's never been the cleanest but the food was fine and service was good. First off, the chili sauce looked super disgusting like it was spoiled. Avoided that totally. Prices have gone up quite a bit. They also didn't give me the pho broth that comes with the rice plate initially so I had to ask for it. They overcharged me but I didn't realize until after leaving. When the bill first came out, it was around $18, but after swiping my card, I saw $19 was charged. Didn't think anything of it so it's really my fault, but sort of had an off feeling about the employee to begin with so I think it may have been intentional. Probably not coming back here again. read more

We were desperate to eat something and did not want to keep driving around. So, we decided to eat here. We were the only ones in there. The place had an unkempt look to it. The floors in front of me had food that seemed like it was from the day or night before. The chicken plate I had was not the tastiest. The meat had lots of fat on it. The chili oil looked brown and rancid. I felt strange eating there. I won't be returning. read more

More like a 3.5 stars. Come here all the time but their downfall is the service.. Non friendly servers and multiple times I have witnessed the owner lady yelling and arguing with her workers from both in back and out in front where everyone can hear. Many times servers just stay in the back, nowhere to be seen so it can take a while.. BUT it's very convenient in the mccully shopping center upstairs and it's spacious so it's not always too busy. Portion size of pho is good and they give good meat portions. I like their Bahnmi although sometimes inconsistent and can be too salty for me. I also like their house special fried rice because it has lupcheong and it just has that different taste from Chinese fried rice.. Summer rolls and spring rolls are good, I've tried their BBQ rice plates and it's okay nothing unique. They have raised their prices quite a lot but if you're looking for a quick casual place for viet food than I'd recommend going here. read more

Cockroach in my daughter's spring roll. Black specs at the bottom of my water. I think there may be sanitation issues here.

Convenient place to get your pho fix They're open from early to late and probably on holidays and such when other restaurants tend to be closed. I usually go for brunch after a long night out or on a rainy day. Their pho is decent with a generous mountain of Thai basil, bean sprouts and have all the necessary sauces to dress my pho. read more

They're open late. And they have better servers now! Will not go in if they are not working!

I've only increased the rating by one star and that's because of their take-out. In all honesty, I believe it's better to take-out from Pho 777 than actually dinning in their. It might be pricey than actually eating at the restaurant, but worth it. The only thing I have to say is, they might not add as much meat as if you were actually eating there. Other than that, I've had no problems with ordering & the food is always ready when I arrive to pick it up! read more

I've had very bad experiences here out of all the times I've dined here. Mainly because of the service. The first time I came here, I was completely ignored. They didn't have anyone in there except two tables with customers. The waitress/owner was just talking story with one table while I waited to get a menu, water and for someone to take my order. Initially I was gonna just walk out after 20 minutes of waiting but I stayed to see how long bad this place is. The waitress/owner person saw me but never came to service me and when she did, she was like "oh I didn't see you there!" Come on, the place was empty and we made eye contact! Overall, this meal took about 2 hours or so. Shame on me to go back right? Well I figured that maybe they were ironing out the kinks so give them another chance. Second time I came, I was with friends. The lunch took almost 3 hours with the horrible service we got again. My friends wanted to leave but I convinced them to stay so that I can compare to my first experience here. If they weren't there, I think I personally would have left. After the meal, we all agreed this place wasn't that good and that service was probably one of the worst we've ever had. I had to come back again for client meetings because my clients suggested the place. They were still slow but at least we got service somewhat quicker. It did take them forever to bring our orders of coffee though. You think that I've had enough of this place right? Well I had to come back once more but with my lunch buddy. By far, this time was the best experience I had here but it was still slow. The condiments and utensils on the table were all sticky too! They need to clean them asap! The pho here isn't special or even that good as I previously mentioned in my first review. Veggies were a decent portion but I had to ask for more on every visit. My lunch buddy let me try their Banh Mi and the flavors for me were lacking. The bread wasn't toasted or that crunchy on the outside and tasted like it could be old. We both had much better and I thought it was pretty small. As much as I love pho, this restaurant is a no go for me. read more

I had such a bad pho experience one day that I NEEDED to have a better pho to erase that memory! My Lunch Buddy came to my rescue! We agreed on Pho 777 in the McCully Shopping Center. I liked the 777 number and the fact that McCully Shopping Center has free parking, a covered lower level of parking, and has a convenient elevator to the upper levels. The only disadvantage is that the restroom is down the hallway and a key is needed. We arrived at the restaurant on the second floor of the building and were seated right away. I ordered the Special Meat Combo Pho (#17) with brisket, tendon, meat balls, rare steak, and tripe. It was better than the bad memory, but not as good as Pho King in Wahiawa. I also got the Bahn Mi "to go" - it also wasn't as good as Pho King's bread. This bread didn't pop back up after being pressed down. The veggies weren't as plump either. Service was adequate and the environment was bright and spacious. It didn't start off too well because we were seated by the big screen television and they were playing some audio version of firecrackers (for Chinese New Year) - haha! Then it switched to a Vietnamese conversation - we only understood the English words such as "cell phone". LOL! I think I would return since it stays open until midnight. I'd try the Spring Rolls and Vermicelli next time! read more

Forgive me, but I don't remember the name of anything I ate, but I can tell you that it was good. I stopped in to this quaint, Vietnamese "hole in the wall" spot for lunch Sunday afternoon and liked it. I love to try all kinds of Asian food, and there is no better place to sample nearly all of it than in Honolulu! The service was great and the food was served fresh and hot. They even accommodate my request for the egg on top, which I believe they customarily serve "sunny side up," to be done over easy. The owners take great pride in their restaurant and obviously want you to feel like you are dining at their home with the special touches of fresh flowers, etc. I liked it! read more

I used to love this place and would often come to eat pho, sometimes two or three times a week! Since COVID hit, I've been ordering delivery and it just hasn't been the same. I think eating noodles at the actual restaurant tastes way better so this past week I went in person for the first time in almost a year. I kind of wish I hadn't gone in person because my past visit has kind of turned me off from this restaurant. I just want to point out that because of COVID, you should probably not just leave your sauces and utensils out on the tables for people to just touch (you don't know who's touched what and whether or not they're clean!!). Also, there is only one guy running the restaurant while the older guy sits behind the register with his mask off. The poor guy running around serving all the tables doesn't have anyone helping him and even though half the restaurant was empty, there were used bowls and utensils un-bussed everywhere. They also don't rinse their towels and I saw them use a towel on several different tables.. yuck.. When we were finally sat after 30 minutes of staring at un-bussed tables (while silently cheering on the lone server busting his ass doing his job), I noticed there was a long strand of hair sticking out of the chili sauce container. Yikes. Definitely not using that. All in all, this place needs to step up their cleanliness especially during these unprecedented times. I want to still say it's still my favorite pho restaurant but this past experience has me thinking otherwise. read more

The place gets an extra star for great customer service!! After spending more time than I care to admit look for some where to eat near the blaidsell center, we finally landed on this complex area. Pho 77 had what seemed like offputting reviews but we really didn't have much of a choice. I am glad we landed on this restaurant the service was phenomenal! PHO, can be a little overwhelming at times especially when you get a really big bowl but for me this medium was just the size I needed and was cook very well because we were kind of in a rush I didn't get to add all the things I like to add to my phone. But it was still really good the ox tail was cooked really well it was smaller than I thought it would be but I have come to learn that somethings you just can't get upset or really worry too much over. Our server who's name I didn't catch unfortunately was really awesome. We told him that we were kind of in a rush because we had to get to the Kevin Hart show and he took great care of us. read more

I must thank my fellow YEEPS for inspiring me; by that I mean pulling into the teeny- tiny parking lots of McCully Shopping Center to eat at Pho 777, which I have never heard of, until I started perusing YELP. If you have lived in Hawaii all your life or own a Toyota Corolla or a Mo-Ped, you'll be used to parking in the stalls provided by McCully Shopping Center. If you are from Texas or if you own a Hummer, you are in big trouble. I was lucky enough to snag parking after someone left; never mind the fact that I had to back in/out about five times to get it right..only to have someone key my car after I was done eating because they were probably mad at the way I was forced to park my car, which is...very close! Why am I harping on the parking lot instead of the food? Maybe because you need to be able to PARK before you can EAT....case in point. - I witnessed a parking lot accident as I was leaving the restaurant. There was a lot of screaming and yelling and burning of rubber out of the parking lot. I should have taken a picture of it...darn. I am getting ahead of myself... Once seated in the spartan, plainly decorated restaurant, I ordered Tofu Pho and inquired about one of my favorites, the Salty Lemon drink (Chanh Muoi). The waitress assured me that they can make me my beloved drink, even if it wasn't on the menu. I've had this drink at another Vietnamese restaurant and have since fallen completely with Chanh Muoi. My Tofu Pho ($6.50-ish) was basically tasteless. So much that I ended up adding tons of junk to it = soy sauce, hot pepper sauce, hoi sin sauce, chili oil sauce, cyanide, etc My drink came AFTER my meal. It was basically chopped up preserved, packaged lemon doused with tap water and crushed ice ($2.75). Not worth it and insulting, if you ask me. I could have made it way better at home. No one came to hand me my bill, even after repeated attempts to make eye contact and wave every time the waitress came around; after a while I started feeling a bit stupid - how many times can you wave your right hand and make small squeaky sounds? After the ordeal I thought I'd try to use the bathroom before heading to my next destination but the women's bathroom door was occupied, and there was a large mass of sticky, slimy, oily goo on the floor. I stepped on it and nearly slipped and walked out of the establishment scraping my foot up to every imaginable surface. So would I come back? NO!! read more

Happy New Years gang!!!! I tried to start off 2014 right by getting in a workout, then trying to eat something healthy for lunch........... Yesterday, I look my sister & her bf to out for lunch at the McCully Shopping center. We originally tried to go to Phuket Thai, but it was closed, so we went upstairs and tried to go to Yotteko-Ya Ramen, unfortunately for us, that was closed too. Lastly we ended up at Pho 777.........this was a big mistake..........all I can say about this place is, it's PHOKING DIRTY!!!!! Besides ordering a bowl of pho, I had ordered some appetizers for us to share. My sister had suggested some kind of shredded pork summer rolls. When the waitress dropped off some small plates for our appetizers, as I distributed the dishes out to my sis & her bf, I noticed two of the plates were dirty (I should have took a picture of this). It even appeared that one dish had some kind of sauce residue on the plate which totally grossed me out! All I can say is first impressions really makes a difference, and upon seeing this, I kinda lost my appetite to eat. To top off my meal, I had a free body cleanse a few hours later..........."if you know what I mean!" The meal really cleaned me out!!!! I think I will stick to my favorite hole in the wall place - Pho Nina. read more

My absolute favorite restaurant for Pho. Being a transplant, it's hard to find the authenticity, proximity, and connection of what makes your favorite spot, your favorite. But I can always count on these folks for consistency. I tried their vegetarian spring/egg rolls, both are super good! And I try their pho with beef flank and steak. I believe the #13.
