Pork Summer Rolls
Robert K.

One of my places on my Pho list to go and eat at... The broth is yummy and the rice plates are good. this place does get a little busy during your peak lunch & dinner times... i'll usually show around 3pm. this is when the crowds are gone... Spring Rolls (the fried ones), Phone and the occasional thai tea during some visits. Pho 777 continues to be consistent. and i'll be back on my next craving.

Spring rolls and BBQ pork (yum) vermicelli after I ate some (sorry)
Chas S.

First time here, felt like a 24 hour diner that happened to serve Vietnamese food. Tables, furniture, and condiments not quite as clean as I like BUT the grilled BBQ pork (thit nuong) was sure good. Convenient, open late, quick service. Not a bad option in town.

First time visiting after being away from the island for 6 years. The pho is still just as amazing as I remember. The broth here is very clean tasting while still being hearty. Service was great, the same guy who served me years ago was still there and was very wlecoming and attentive.

2 Piece Summer Rolls

Our friend invited us to lunch here today. Its the first time to eat here and I'm glad I did! Had the summer rolls, spring rolls, beef salad, fried rice, stir fried beef, some kind of crepe dish, sweet bean drink, and black iced coffee. Everything tasted great and fresh! Variety of condiments to add to your fish sauce and dish. We had a lot of leftovers to pack. The quality of their takeout containers is the best I've seen. It's paper of course, but has a special coating so that it doesn't leak or break. Also noticed the chopsticks are good quality. No splinters and easy to hold unlike those cheap chopsticks. Parking available downstairs in the covered parking garage and its free. Overall great experience here! The food was served quickly and the restaurant was very clean.

I have walked past this restaurant many times and finally decided to give it a try. With so many pho eateries around, this one unfortunately didn't stand out. The pho broth lacked depth of flavor, and the ingredients felt minimal for the premium price, not mentioning one tiny slice of lemon for the soup. The spring rolls also didn't quite hit the mark. Service was practically nonexistent; even water refills never came, yet the suggested tips started at 15%... No kidding? Well, that needs to be earned! The only saving grace was the sandwich, which was excellent.

Wonton Egg Noodles
Kim T.

My friend and I came on a rainy day and got seated right away with menus already at the table. Service was very quick in taking our order and our food came out shortly after. We got the Egg Wonton Noodles and Vermicelli noodles with egg rolls/grilled pork. Both dishes were soooo tasty. The egg rolls are a must get here. The noodles were nice and comforting with a good amount of toppings. Vermicelli came with picked veg and good about of meat. Portion sizes here are huge which is awesome! Pretty casual spot with ample seating. Good for groups and tasty Vietnamese food in Waikiki.

Pho 777 is located in the McCully Shopping Center on the 2nd floor. Spacious dining area. [Disclaimer] This review is only for their Vietnamese Ice Coffee. It was decent, smooth and creamy. Not bitter or having that mocha creamer taste.

#11.Pho with Slices of Rare Steak

Pho 777 is in McCully Shopping Center on the 2nd floor. Parking wasn't too bad as we got there early as they open at 10:00am. The restaurant is pretty big, the space used to be Salerno back in the 80s. I ordered #11 beef pho and my friend ordered #35 bbq pork and shrimp over noodles. Both dishes were good, my pho was ok, not as tasty as other places. They bring the standard basil, bean sprouts, jalapeño peppers and lemon. The waitress came to check on us once. Nothing really outstanding or bad about this place.

Located in the Mccully Shopping center on the 2nd floor Diamond head side of the building towards Fuk Yoon Chinese restaurant. They have parking lot on the street level and more below with an elevator. I had the rice and pork plate which was tasty and the meat was okay with some vegetables. Could have been more spicy and flavorful, but you can added spiciness with the condiments on the table. My wife tried the soft instead of the crispy seafood noodles which she enjoyed, but mentioned it was a little on the salty side. The table area where the basket of condiments were as we moved it closer to reach, you could see it hasn't been cleaned in a while and was pretty dirty and could attract roaches if not cleaned. The restroom which is shared by the mall retailers is locked and there are signs even at the restaurant no restroom keys? How is someone going to use the restroom?

I've been coming to this restaurant since high school and I absolutely recommend Pho777!! The parking may be a little crazy because it is in McCully Shopping Center, but there is usually parking on the bottom lot of you can't find any on top. My favorites are the Thai Tea, Rare Steak Pho, Summer or Spring Rolls (Either way you can't go wrong). The broth is always so delicious and flavorful! The staff is friendly and welcoming! It is usually open seating so you can choose where you want to sit; there are many booths and tables to choose from. I love Pho777 because the price is unbeatable for the quality!

17.Pho with Special Meat Combo

Pho 777 used to be my late night go-to whenever I was in town. It's cozy to me because the owner was always so sweet. It has been quite some time since I last visited, now that I don't travel to McCully side as often as before. The restaurant was so nostalgic, everything looked the same! There was a nice waiter I've never seen before, he was very poised and respectful. He did speak a little quick, but I caught on. The pho is still as yummy as before!

I came here maybe 5-6 years ago when they first opened, mainly to try their famous "flying…read morenoodles," which were such a trend back then. Honestly, everything was just okay--nothing really stood out to me--so we never came back. Over the years, though, I kept hearing friends talk about this place and say it was one of their favorite Chinese restaurants. I was still not convinced... and then my husband started hearing the same thing from more and more people. So, here I am, finally giving them another try! And WOW... the menu has changed and expanded so much since the last time I was here. There are so many more options now, and everything we ordered was flavorful and tasty. The portions are HUGE, and you can definitely tell they don't skimp on the ingredients, produce, or seasoning. We ordered the salted egg chicken wings and the stir-fried ong choy--both were really good! The drinks were also tasty, although they were a little not sweet enough for me, But I'd definitely order one again when I'm feeling healthier. Where have I been all these years?! ‍ This place has officially become one of my favorite spots for Chinese food. Sometimes you really do have to give a place a second chance!

I am loyal to their brisket soup noodle and get that on repeat. Another great dish is their classic beef scallion flying noodles. It's a dry noodle with tasty ground beef, some (little bit of) veggies, with an abundance of noodles. If you're feeling fancy you can get the picture friendly one where the noodles look like it's flying on the chopstick. If you order the dry noodles dishes and choose to add on tendon or veggies, you don't get the cool flying chopsticks. The fried appetizers are okay. The clay pot lamb dish was a pleasant surprise. It's not too gamey and pairs well with white rice. I think it's meant to be shared, but my husband can polish it off by himself. The service is quick. You can scan the QR code on the wall and place your order or the friendly staff will take your order. The technology of the future is arriving folks. It's a nice quaint restaurant that's family friendly too. Happy yelping folks!

They also seem to have renovated, with a much more spacious and modern interior. We've tried the Boiled Fish and Pickled Cabbage with rice, Wuwei Spicy Beef Noodle, and Fried Noodle (rice noodle). You get to choose what type of noodles you want. The first time, I ordered the Boiled Fish and asked for mild spice, but it was so spicy I could barely finish it and ended up just eating the fish and leaving the rest. Such a shame because I was craving those sour and spicy flavors and wanted to pair the soup with rice, but I definitely wasn't expecting the mild level to be THAT spicy. My bf, on the other hand, can handle really spicy food and ordered the spicy level for his beef noodles, but his wasn't that spicy at all. We wondered if the spice levels got mixed up, but I've seen other reviews mentioning that even the mild level for the Boiled Fish is really spicy, so maybe that's just how it is... The boiled fish soup was also oilier than what I've had elsewhere. For the Wuwei Spicy Beef Noodle, since we ordered takeout, the beef came separately with its own marinade. I wouldn't recommend pouring the marinade into the noodle soup because it completely overpowers the original spicy broth. The beef itself was perfectly tender, though! The Fried Rice Noodle was really good, and we had no complaints! It also came in a HUGE portion that was plenty for the two of us. Both times, I was craving Szechuan flavors and rice noodle dishes, and these definitely hit the spot! I wouldn't say I'm in love with everything we tried, but overall, the food was really good and worth satisfying those cravings.

My friend and I ordered their fried chicken cutlet, beef pancake rolls, Chengdu dan dan noodles, signature beef fried rice, pan fried pork buns, and pan fried chicken dumplings. The fried chicken cutlet was okay. The side of mayo and sweet chili helped but it was too dry. It would have been better if the chicken cutlet was juicy. The Chengdu Dan Dan noodles which had the ground beef, green onions and spice sauce in the bottom. Mixing this dish before eating was pretty good. The spice made this simple noodles dish, better. My favorites were the beef pancake rolls, and pan fried pork buns. The beef pancake rolls were sliced beef with cucumbers rolled up in a thin wrap. I liked how crispy the wraps were. They were thick and great as a sharing appetizer. The pan fried pork buns weren't full of soup-goodness but it was still fire. The crispy sides from the pan and the great pork flavor. So, good. The service was very nice and refilled our waters. Sad that they had to close down but they were be merging with Chengdu Taste in July.

He cares about the food he serves and thinks about how the food will taste, not just while you're eating, but also if you plan to take food home. I ordered the cold vegetable noodles and pork buns. He told me not to order the pork buns because the noodles are huge. I'll try to stuff myself and I won't enjoy the food, "I want you to enjoy" he said. He also asked how much spiciness I preferred and at first I said none, but he suggested I add at least a little spice because of the way it mixes with the food and brings out the flavor. Later I overheard him talking to a group of young adults about how he doesn't serve a particular type of food because the quality and the texture of the meat wasn't good enough. When I was done with my noodles, I decided to order the buns and take it home to eat later. He said, "Oh no... if you take it home and put it in the refrigerator... it will become dry and you won't enjoy it." That's the first time I've ever heard of someone refusing money because he's worried about me enjoying my meal and the taste of his food. Most people would just take the money... but to him... how the food tastes will leave a lasting impression on him. With all that... how was the cold vegetable noodles? Damn good! I said to him it was "perfect". He was right. It was big. I was tempted to take half of it home, but I thought about how it would taste differently if I put it in the fridge. So... I stuffed myself and splattered the peanut sauce on my clean office shirt. Taking my wife there because I want her to experience food from someone who takes pride in what they do.
