Restaurant is large and busy but service was fast because our server was hustling, like literally running. Pho was hearty unctuous and delicious. I had the #1 which has all the weird meats. I would do that again but the soft tendon takes a bit of getting used to. Perfect spot for a hot pho on a cold day. read more

Finally a decent Vietnamese place on the south side!! We loved their vermicelli bowls with perfectly cooked and seasoned grilled pork. The bbq spring roll was perfect too with a wonderful lemon grass flavor. Their portions are generous and our server let us sample the pho broth which was also delicious. I am so happy we have a good Vietnamese restaurant in Chesterfield. We usually go to Richmond and drive 20-30 minutes when we are craving a good bahn mi sandwich or pho, but I will no longer have to go out of my way to have my fix of Vietnamese deliciousness. I must say the pho was very delicious. The broth was tasty. The meat-broth-noodle ratio was perfect. The only negative about the pho is that the broth was not as hot as I would expect. The egg rolls, on the other hand, were burning hot (just the way we like it). There's not a lot of filling, but that's the case in pretty much every other Vietnamese restaurant I've ever been to. The bahn mi was delicious as well. I don't think they are the best ones I've ever had, but they were good. In terms of the service, well... our server wasn't the friendliest. He wasn't mean or impolite, just not particularly friendly. I will for sure go back. I hope they last much longer than the previous Vietnamese restaurant that was in that same location. Please support these small businesses that bring international food. We need more of those on this side of town. read more

Lots of people wearing beanies and big coats, I guess they already knew about the no heat inside. Sat quickly then waited 10 minutes for a water after watching a few other tables seated after us getting waters and orders taken. Good, authentic Vietnamese food. Limited menu, but the basics are done well. The staff has been serving Richmond for decades in differing capacities and in different Vietnamese restaurants. Quick, efficient service. Plenty of room at the tables and a large space. The building looks like it was a steak or BBQ place. The dining room is clean. I haven't used their restrooms, so I can't vouch for their cleanliness. Goi cuon is good with nuoc mam like we had in Saigon and Hoi An, Vietnam. I do recommend this place. Vietnamese is trendy now, so cheap Pho is a thing of the past. Plan on spending $40 for sodas and entrees for 2. The ca the sua da tastes canned. It's not served with the filter on your glass. BUT, the bar is lined with Cafe du Monde cans.... Not Nguyen? That was my 1 disappointment. read more

We are new to the area and tried Pho 60 Café for the first time last night. We were a little hesitant because the building is kind of dark and the parking lot was relatively empty on a Thursday night, about 45 minutes before closing. But once inside, we were seated immediately in a comfortable booth, and the atmosphere was very warm and relaxing. About 4 more tables filled up after we arrived, even though it was so close to closing. One TV was broadcasting FOX news on very low volume, but the 3 other TVs were playing gorgeous video of landscapes and nature scenes. Our order was taken as quickly as we had been seated, and we were served in a reasonable amount of time needed to make something fresh. I ordered the vermicelli with pork, and my husband got the steak pho, and they were both extraordinary in flavor and freshness and authentically made. Husband said it was possibly the best pho he has eaten. The vermicelli was full of fresh vegetables, flavorful pork, thinly sliced and perfectly cooked, with lots of noodles. Writing this has now made me hungry for my leftovers! read more

Amazing Pho. Been following this family around the Richmond area since they were initially by the small place at the corner of Horsepen and Broat St. Always fresh and delicious. The best Pho in VA! My wife and I recently visited Pho 60 because we love Vietnamese PHO. To my surprise the proprietress is none other than the former co-owner of So Pho #1 which was located in Henrico off Horsepen and Rigby Rds. It was my favorite PHO restaurant before she left to start her own restaurant. I was so happy to find her because she still makes the best PHO in Richmond, hands down. The service is always great at her restaurants because she is hands on. And the atmosphere is a couple steps higher than the typical Vietnamese restaurant in the spot that formerly was Famous Dave's BBQ. If you're looking for great PHO go to Pho 60. read more

It's not my norm to write bad reviews. I had read and took into consideration a previous reviewer's comment that it is a new business etc service could be slow etc. Well tonight was just ridiculous. We were seated quickly then the wait started. There is one guy running around taking orders for ALL the tables. A couple other guys were taking some food out or collecting menus. 20 minutes or more and no one took our order. Some people were coming in after us and got their order and ate and left! I said excuse me to the waiter and he told me hold on. 5 minutes later he took our order. About another 20 minutes went by and nothing was brought out. So again we said excuse me is our food coming. The waiter said they were making it now. We did not even get our appetizers and we were 65 minutes in! We gave them 10 more minutes, 75 minutes total, sitting at a table waiting looking at our water. Totally unbelievable, we thought we may be on candid camera. At least 6 tables came in after us and ate! It even slowed down so we kept telling ourselves it's coming. Wrong! So we left, and it is a shame because if the food was good they would have had repeat customers. But we wont ever go back to Pho 60 cafe. read more

I tried this restaurant under the previous management and we literally had roaches in our food. When I reported to them what we had found they didn't seem surprised and asked if I wanted another entree ummm no thanks. I heard this restaurant was under new management and things have greatly improved. I wish it were so. I took an employee and my son to try it out for lunch. We stood at the front for several minutes before anyone standing in line waiting to be seated were even acknowledged. Eventually we were sat at an oversized table and the waiting commenced. After roughly ten minutes of waiting for a server someone took our drink orders two waters and a Pepsi. Ten minutes later a very confused gentleman brings us two waters and a Dr Pepper and was gone before we could ask him to bring the Pepsi that was ordered. Ten minutes later meaning we have been seated for 30 minutes no one has bothered to take our order so I flagged the waiter that I saw. The waiter seemed perturbed and inconvenienced. We placed our orders. 20 minutes later a very confused gentleman walks up to our table with what definitely looks like our order walks away circles the entire restaurant, then comes back to our table with the same two bowls, and drops them off at our table. We told the gentleman which bowls go to whom, but they were still given to us in the reverse order. Another seven minutes later, my son finally gets his sandwich. So that's roughly over an hour. Unfortunately, my son had lost his appetite by then. There's no organization. Apparently they don't know what we're saying or asking for. There was nothing appealing about my experience. Nothing really seems to have changed. I have been to many of the local Pho restaurants and this was by far my least favorite experience. I will say, though the food was good. read more
