This is a lovely gem offering wood fired pizzas, veggies, crab cakes, etc. I arrived during happy hour and appreciated the discount drinks and appetizers. Wish I had brought a friend to share some more treats. The server was very accommodating and I enjoyed the crabcakes, plenty of crab and the 2 were plenty. I did send them back the first time as they were not hot on the middle. Since i didn't want fries, I substituted the sweet potatoes that had a bit of spice. Next time, I would sub a salad to balance the richness of the crab cakes. House bread was yummy and the pizza looked tempting! Free validation for parking across the street which is ideal as it was difficult to find street parking. All of the local breweries looked interesting too...next time!

Shrimp and grits take our portion. Used the can for scale.

Man, I have loved and enjoyed this place for going in 10 years. After tonight's experience with our take-out order, never again I'm afraid. My wife and I got two $30 entrees. When we opened the packaging we both laughed. "Is this a joke?" I could probably have eaten my portion of shrimp and grits in five bites. It was tiny. Hardly even a snack. Super disappointing. My wife's was the same. She had a salmon bowl. We sent in a complaint to door dash. We'll see. I just don't know how you could let an order leave the kitchen like that. You know if that happened at the restaurant there's no way anyone would stand for it. I'm sure the waiter would reject it. Don't do take out. Hoping this is a fluke.

I've been coming to this Tazza location for a few years. It's always a great option for any occasion whether I have a work lunch or am catching up with friends. The service is usually great and very accommodating. Reservations can be made on Resy. They also have free parking in a lot across the street, which is rare for Scott's Addition - just be sure to tell the host. All the food I've had is pretty good and they have cute drinks. My favorite dish is the bolognese pasta. I believe the pasta is made fresh and it pairs beautifully with the ragu and parmesan. I also enjoy their pizzas and it's one of the few places where I even eat the crust.

Tazas has had its ups & downs over the years, but this Scott's addition is, hands down, my favorite location in RVA and they've not let me down. Ambience - super chic w a lot of versatility - you could have a work meeting, a girls night out, a quick bite in between clients, or a casual date night. Food - a ton of variety with foods that make you want to try something new. Drinks - their cocktails can hang w the big dogs (i.e., these drinks hooked their weight among other local bars) I recommend the pizzas - especially the spicy sausage and black pepper honey, Mediterranean bowl- especially if you live lentils and halloumi (ugh I drool), and braised beef short rib tacos! Lunch hour gets busy, but they do move pretty quickly. The French toast for brunch is easily one of the best in the city. Breakfast pizza slaps...and while I love their huevos rancheros, it's not enough food! But you could always eat off your friend's plate like I do

Gathered here for a family brunch and it was all of ours first time! It was really pretty and spacious outside and the natural lighting helped keep the space warm and inviting. I ordered the Juna mocktail and it did not disappoint. For my main dish, I got the French toast, which was so thick, moist and tasty and a side of potatoes, which I wish was a bigger portion but was seasoned well. The service was okay but that's to be expected which a larger group. Overall, everyone was content and well definitely be returning!

I hosted a business dinner here for a large group. The private room had a really nice set up with a garage window that you can lift open to let the breeze in! We ordered a little of everything. Our favorite by far was the goat cheese appetizer. It's a blend of melted goat cheese swimming in a delicious marinara sauce served alongside garlic bread crostini's!

Came here twice in the same week. Both experiences were great. Didn't try any cocktails but ordered the scallops one night and a salad the other. Both came out quickly and had plenty of flavors. Service was super friendly and efficient.

To start off, this Tazza is in an amazing location to make a night out of it. It's in Scott's addition which is full of breweries, cideries, game bars - it makes for a fun night of dinner and drinks. I will say there are other restaurants in Scott's addition that I enjoy more than Tazza but if you are in the mood for a nicer sit down dinner than this is a solid choice in that area. The food is inventive and delicious. The second picture is a spaghetti squash dish that was really tasty and tons of unique flavors in it. They have a patio area that is covered and heated so it's good for all seasons. And the inside is very vibey.

Tazza Kitchen in Scott's Addition has quickly become a local favorite for its delicious and innovative brunch menu. I recently had the pleasure of trying their French Toast and their version of a Tex-Mex Bowl, and both dishes were tasty. The French toast arrived beautifully plated, with a dusting of powdered sugar and a drizzle of syrup, fruit purée and nuts. The bread was thick and fluffy, soaking up the sweet cinnamon batter perfectly. The accompanying fruit was fresh and added a nice burst of flavor. The bowl was visually appealing, with a colorful array of ingredients. The combination of savory, crispy and spicy was a perfect match. the black beans provided a hearty protein boost. With their friendly service and cozy atmosphere, I see why this restaurant has become so popular!

We recently visit this restaurant while in Richmond. The food was outstanding. We ordered a bunch of appetizers and split them. The guacamole and queso were outstanding. The pizza was great and the roasted beats rocked. The staff was friendly and service was super. It is a really nice place. I would recommend d reservations, but they do take walk ups.

A super yummy dinner at Tazza! I got the white sangria for a drink which was delicious. We ordered the Cast Iron Goat Cheese for an appetizer and it was AMAZING! They even brought us extra bread for dipping when we ran out but still had more of the cheese/marinara mixture left. We both got the Baja Bowls for dinner because we love the green fried rice. I got the adobe chicken for meat and my husband got the crab cake on recommendation from the waitress. Both were exactly what we were looking for!

Tazza is the perfect place to go if you didn't know what you are in the mood for! They have a little bit of everything, and it's all good! From pizza to tacos, you can't go wrong with anything on the menu! We started with the brussel sprouts and I can't stop thinking about them! They were covered in mustard and bacon jam for the perfect combo of sweet and spicy! I got tacos for my main and like everything else on the menu, they were so good! Our waiter was very attentive to my food allergy's and made sure everything I ordered was allergen free. He even gave me substation options when things didn't accommodate. He really made the experience great!

    Proscuitto & Arugula Pizza!

Driven past this place too many times to ignore it any further. I can't say it was my favorite place from a price standpoint, but I guess that's what you get for being in such a prime location. Have to give them their flowers for their drink selection - they've got something for everyone. Personally went with an Old Fashioned, but literally the entire rest of my party got the blackberry mojito which was a massive hit. Generous portion of prosciutto for the pizza - much better than I anticipated - and also loved the crispiness of that crust. The arugula was a great topper too. My partner loved her crab cakes - first time she came here she was a bit disappointed with the baja bowl but said this time around redeemed it for her. Overall friendly modern vibe with respectable service. Glad I tried it :)

How cold is it inside? I'm sensitive to over-air-conditioned spaces. Weird, I know...

I'm cold everywhereeee. I remember being cold in here and getting goose bumps. I was wearing a short sun dress and sandals though.

Does this Scotts Addition location have a parking lot or is it only street parking?

Nancy, There is a parking lot caddy corner that is for Tazza. There is also plenty of street parking available as well.

It was such a fun meal to share, comparing each bite and talking through all the different flavors. The service was excellent. Our waitress was knowledgeable about everything we ordered and made great recommendations. The atmosphere is just as impressive. The decor is simple but thoughtfully elevated, and sitting at the bar area feels like you have stepped out of Richmond and into somewhere like New York City. I also love following Lillian on social media to keep up with their latest specials. I would highly recommend it to anyone who loves seafood.

Like too many restaurants in the Scott's Addition area, this is seafood cooked without finesse and then absolutely brutalized with absurd amounts of palate fatiguing, brash, loud flavors. Every item on the menu endeavors to conceal mediocrity in the quality and handling of the ingredients with explosive, overwhelming additives meant to shock you into submission. Things like black garlic and chili oil, raw garlic, sesame seed oil, and punishing heat are inescapable on the menu, which really says to me loud and clear "we do not understand the appeal of seafood, and might have a fundamental misunderstanding about good food in general." I don't exaggerate when I say these dishes would be improved (setting aside things like inability to properly cook octopus) by scaling back the flavors to 5-10% the loudness level they are currently at, to let the ingredients speak, and to make the dining experience less of a punishing marathon with no relief. I have had much subtler and more skillfully balanced dishes at Indian and Thai restaurants, cuisines known for strong flavor profiles. I'm through listening to these Richmond restaurants trying to excuse simply bad food by claiming "that's the nature of the cuisine." In this case, Lillian claims that dishes characterized by these cacophonous competing flavors is "South American." No it isn't - the person conceptualizing the dishes is just a bad chef who doesn't know what he's doing, and at the prices Lillian charges, that's inexcusable. Drowning every dish in flavors that overwhelm the palate is not a way to respect your ingredients or your diner, and only communicates youth and insecurity. Anyone who's eaten widely and knows their ingredients will rightly feel assaulted and insulted by this overpriced, unskilled fare. To anyone who decides to go anyway: Good luck with the digestive distress, and with the taste that will still be left over in your mouth the next morning, no matter how much you brush your teeth.
