The Christmas decor was absolutely on point. She crab soup is good. Crab cake sandwich was good. The server regularly checked on us. Good place for a casual date or if you want to make it a more formal occasion.

A friend hosted her bridal shower here, in a private room that was super cute. There were 24 of us and we had a three course meal provided by them. The cinnamon rolls are basically a roll with a touch of cinnamon and icing (not great), but everyone at my table seemed to enjoy their entree. The dessert tray was cute and had a brownie bite, scoop of vanilla ice cream, and a small cannoli. The cannoli was good but the brownie didn't impress me. Unsure how they operate outside of a private event, the main benefit was the space - the interior was so cute and perfect and I would give that private room a 5/5 but the food itself was a 3 or 4 out of 5 in my books.

Friendly and helpful staff, our server made happy hour so enjoyable. We loved the food specials and the speciality drinks. Such a beautiful location we seat at the bar over looking the sunroom. Perfect restaurants for family dinners or a girls night out, we loved it.

Looking for a good happy hour? Tarrant's West has it! The food was delicious - we ordered pizzas and fried green tomatoes. They were very accommodating with our request for extra sauce for the tomatoes - so yummy! Check out their drink specials and nightly HH specials. So good! Luckily, I live nearby. But, even if you don't, it's worth it to give it a try. Enjoy!

This food was: 10/10. The service was quick and amazing they also had different menu for dry January and vegan options as well. The food was sooo flavorful . Everything came out fresh and hot. We sat on the patio but it actually wasn't cold out there. The inside is decorated very nice and is very spacious. I definitely would recommend this place to anybody would come back for lunch.

Tarrants is consistent and a local fave of mine. I love it when I need a solo date and sitting at the bar or high tops is great and offers the happy hour menu for really decent hours. I also love it for group dinners and they do a great job on service accommodating large groups. I can say this has been true on different service times like brunch and dinner. There are so many food options to choose from, which is why it's a great choice for groups needing variety. The she crabby (she crab) soup is ahhhmazing and a must anytime you step in the doors. The crab dip is equally amazing and allegedly shareable haha but just so good. Whenever I get a taste for a club sandwich this is also a place I think of and enjoy theirs. I visit frequently, but over the years honestly brunch is probably where I've dined here the most. For dinner they serve dinner rolls also, and for brunch cinnamon icing rolls which are so yummy. I'm such a creature of habit when I find a meal I really like, but lately have been trying new foods there, like the salmon. Dinner entrees are good, but I do feel like the brunch and lunch options are best and what they seem to be more favorable and well known for. Give it a try!

    Scottish Salmon entree, wonderful!

What a great decision! When you walk in, you immediately notice that all of the wines are beautifully displayed -- it doubles as a wine shop, which gives it such a warm and welcoming vibe. It feels cozy but elevated at the same time. They don't offer flights for groups larger than five, but we were able to order one dealer's choice flight based on our preferred flavor profiles. From there, we could select a bottle inspired by the flight. A few of us gravitated toward reds. Our waitress was incredibly knowledgeable -- we told her the flavor profiles we liked, and she brought out three reds to try. The Wade & Wayfarer Pinot Noir was our favorite (so good!), though a bit pricier. We also tried the Alkoorai Cab/Merlot blend, which ended up being our least favorite. Ultimately, we chose the Denner Nightshade GSM -- excellent pick. Bonus tip: if you purchase a bottle $50 or more, there's no corkage fee; under $50, there is. Our waitress also mentioned that South American Merlots are the best Merlots as we all mentioned Merlot tends to be more dry. A few in our group ordered the Masterpiece Theatre cocktail on our waitress's recommendation -- she did not steer us wrong! Food-wise, everything was a hit. Our friends ordered the Cacio e Pepe burrata, pickled shrimp, Caesar salad, mushroom and leek flatbread, and the Brie and pear flatbread (both flatbreads were huge!). They loved every dish. My husband and I shared the bread with olive oil (simple and delicious), the charred octopus (tender with amazing flavor), gnocchi Bolognese, and lamb chops. Everything was fantastic -- the only small note was that the lamb could've been a bit more rare -- but still very flavorful. By the end of the night, all six of us agreed we'd absolutely be back. We're even looking into their wine club -- $60/month for two bottles (pickup required at the shop), which honestly sounds like a great deal. Apparently, they change up their wine flights weekly, which makes it even more fun and gives us a reason to return. Such a great experience all around -- can't wait to go back and try more wines!

They like what they are doing. It's in a strip mall parking lot so parking is pretty easy; if it's crowded, you might not be able to park right in front of the restaurant but there's still plenty of parking. We chose flights of wine to start out and really enjoyed each of the three we picked. For appetizers we got the pumpkin hummus and the Muhammara which is a roasted red pepper and walnut dip with toasted pita. My friends enjoyed their hummus, and my husband, and I thought the pepper and walnut dip were out of this world. We wanted more for dinner. The pita was the perfect crispiness and accompaniment for the dip. Having had limp pita at another restaurant recently makes me especially locked in on this detail lol For mains we got the duck confit tacos, the gnocchi bolognese and the hippie chick salad with roasted salmon. My friend enjoyed her salad, but I forgot to ask how she liked the roasted salmon on top. It looked tasty and was something I was considering for next time. I got the duck confit tacos which were definitely different from your standard fare and had a nice kick to it without being overwhelming. On my first bite I thought it was gonna be too spicy, but the heat did not build to unbearable. Still not sure I'm a fan of duck, but it was done very well and I wasn't disappointed. My husband's gnocchi Bolognese was done perfectly. I was shocked how light and pillowy the gnocchi were and loved the Bolognese, which was the perfect amount of savory without being too rich; elevated comfort food for sure . We were too full from dinner to order dessert which kept our bill down to a little over one Benji for drinks, one appetizer and two beans, , which is pretty typical for a nice meal out these days. I do miss the days when you could go out for $30-$45 a person even with a shared appetizer and drinks but WW is more on the reasonable side compared to most. We will definitely be back though and Iwoll be investigating the private room option for a milestone birthday or anniversary. Well done WW!

Plus I had heard great things about their Neapolitan pizza, so I was hyped to try it. Sooo bad news. The pizzas apparently weren't selling well enough, so they no longer offer them, nor will they be bringing them back in the future. They do have empanadas instead, though, which were quite tasty. I liked the margherita and the spinach ricotta. We also ordered a charcuterie plate after our server suggested it instead of the olives. Sadly it only had four olives on the plate, so we rationed. I wasn't a super huge fan of the plate, as it was heavy on crackers. I would've liked to see more variety for the price, including perhaps some fresh bread and more pickles. My boyfriend and my mom split crab fritters, and they really loved those. Between us, we purchased two wine flights and my mom had a moscato. They were out of many options, so perhaps they were in between inventory. The wines they did have were all great. I'd say overall our visit was nice. It wasn't groundbreaking by any means, and I'd be more likely to go to some of the other wine shops in the area first before returning -- but I do see a lot of potential here.

We ordered sangria and the table red wine and both were delicious. The sangria rioja is a touch on the sweeter side, which I personally don't mind, but just be aware if that is not your thing! It did taste better once it was a little bit diluted. The rice dish (arroz meloso) was one of their brunch specials and it was FANTASTIC! It has shrimp, chorizo, and chicken, and the rice was cooked and flavored to perfection. It was like a mini paella and the portion was huge. Definitely big enough to share for two people! I even told the waitress they need to add this to their menu permanently and not just as a special. We also ordered the patatas bravas (the crispy potatoes with spicy sauce), and it quite literally transported me back to my time when I lived in Spain. It came with a side of garlic aioli which was divine...creamy, garlicky (but not TOO garlicky), and seasoned well. the red sauce on the potatoes was delicious and spicy, so beware if you are not fan of spicy food. We had a little mishap with another tapa (the pan iberico, which they have listed as a flatbread) which I unfortunately did not take a picture of and did not care for at all. They gave us the vegetarian version by mistake, but our waitress was awesome and she recognized the mistake right as it came to our table. We got the right one and it wasn't bad, but definitely wouldn't order again. That would be the only thing I would avoid from the menu, as it's not traditionally Spanish. It was like a mini pizza with chorizo and had manchego melted on top. I'm sure a lot of people would like it, but it just didn't make much sense to me! Atmosphere is warm and inviting, and I can't wait to go back for a wine tasting and more tapas. Try them out :)

But Chez Nous consistently delivers a 5-star experience and is truly deserving of top ratings ... nothing overblown here. I almost hesitate to give it yet another "5" because I'm afraid there will eventually be a line out the door of my favorite place on any given night! Everything I've tried at Chez Nous, from octopus carpaccio to the apéro board to the olive cake (Sarah's specialty) has been spectacular, not to mention the bubbly Blanquette and full-bodied reds that are great on their own or with a small plate. The team's attention to precision and flavor are always impressive and honor French traditions with both casual and upscale cuisine. But listen, there's one thing about Chez Nous that DOESN'T feel French. In France, you can predict that service will be unpredictable. You might be sitting a while before you're noticed, and you'll probably wait far longer for your check after a meal. Some of that is due to the "culture de savourer"--an expectation of minimal, hands-off service. At Chez Nous, you get the best of everything: a warm welcome that will make a regular out of you, impeccable service and hospitality, and an atmosphere that nurtures meaningful conversation, toasts, and laughter. The pièce de résistance is the opportunity to meet some great French-speaking friends here who appreciate it all ("des gens au bec fin", in French). Chez Nous is the neighborhood café I didn't even realize Richmond needed. Check the schedule on their website before you go--the place is so popular, it's sometimes reserved for special events.
