    Salmon Cake Dinner
    Psalms R.

Stopped by The Riviere on our way back to MD from Williamsburg and it was the perfect hidden gem! The food was delicious and well seasoned. I had the salmon cakes which came with two sides, the Mac and cheese was amazing and the cabbage was great too. My partner had the lamb chops and waffles and really enjoyed it as well! Server was nice and offered recommendations.

Found this restaurant on yelp, as I was visiting from out of town. The atmosphere was very nice, we came for brunch and Riviere did not disappoint. There was a DJ with a nice set and the service was great as well; it wasn't overly pack as well. My best-friend got the mimosa flight ($25) and the french toast with two sides ($20); she said it was good. I had the grits bowl with catfish ($21), the dish was good as well just an odd touch with the shaved Parmesan cheese LOL. Definitely recommend this place and to make reservations

Happy to have parking adjacent to the building!! For brunch, you'll want reservations. It gets packed quickly. Disappointed that they did not have steak and cheese egg rolls that day. The mimosa flight is a cool option if you want to check out a few flavors. The pancake platter was a nice choice and I really liked the fish + grits. The music was vibey and staff were upbeat.

Breakfast: I didn't want the same breakfast I'd make at home, this place achieved that. The food was tasty. The waffles had nice crispness and a sweet glaze drizzled over them along with a few blueberries. The grits had great flavor and the bacon was as expected. Only negative, depending upon your expectations was plastic silverware, plastic cup and plastic container for the syrup. Wait staff were not fast but friendly.

I'll give this three stars because the drink I had was absolute perfection & the environment was very relaxed & comfortable, however...the food & the service were genuinely not that great. I got the fish & grits as an entree, there was a lot of cheese, the grits were tasteless & the fish had little bones. I can't fault them on the bones because I should've asked instead of assuming, but the taste is all on them. Our table ordered cheesesteak egg rolls, sweet Thai chili shrimp & pasta which were all phenomenal, but everything else we ordered was mediocre at best. (Salmon bites appetizer, jerk chicken entree & sandwiches) The service I feel as if it could've been better. It was not busy at all (there may have been 4-5 tables total) & our server was at the end of the bar on her phone majority of the night. I understand taking moments to yourself, but she could've been much more attentive. Overall, I'd return for the drinks & the egg rolls, but I do not recommend stopping here if you're really hungry. Drinks I recommend: Blueberry Rivie, Pineapple Rum Punk, Spiked Sangria Mule & Apple Whiskey Sour

Met up with a friend for lunch on a weekday afternoon. The dining room was half full which gave each party a table or two in between each other. Seating is a bit tight otherwise (think Cheesecake Factory table space). Service was pretty quick with the server taking our drink orders and clarified menu items we had questions about. Food arrived in good time. We both ordered salmon bites and grits. The salmon was seasoned well. The grits were heavy on the cream, soupy even, but delicious after a good stirring. However the food seemed a bit lukewarm. I also ordered a side of sweet potatoes because I was craving them. The texture was perfect, but they were heavy on the cinnamon and super light on the sugar. From other reviews I probably should've gone with the waffles. Might give them a try next time!

Simply Amazing!! Reservations were easy and the food, service and atmosphere were perfect for our final day in Richmond!! Thanks to our server Jada who took great care of our party of 6!! It was great meeting one of the owners and reacted to express how much we enjoyed our visit. Keep up the great work. We will be back ..

Looking for a nice flavorful meal head on over to this spot. It's a nice clean quaint spot with a variety of foods which scream try me! It's hard to select but from the looks of the many patrons faces you can go wrong. We started with Hot Honey Salmon bites. They looked delicious and did not disappoint! They was perfectly cooked bursting with flavor! My Hubby enjoyed the French Toast with Bacon & Eggs. He added a side of Sausages. It was nothing left on his plate! I had the Waffles and substituted the Chicken Strips for actual Wingettes (thought I would get Wings but....). The Qafgle was absolutely yummy! It was fluffy and rich tasting like a freshly baked glazed Donut. It wasn't just a plain Waffle. So good!!! The Wingettes was flavorful alone. I added the Honey Garlic Sauce which took my tastebud enjoyment to another level of satisfaction. My Husband had the Apple Old Fashioned. He said perfect blend of Alcohol and flavor! My dings for them is the Bacon... looks like Bacon bits. Im use to full pieces of Bacon! (Call me petty). Additionally I prefer whole wings. I think you get a better bang for you buck! It was kit a long wait to be seated or to get our Hot food! Staff was friendly and music was jamming! They do have their own parking lot. Additionally the Restrooms were clean and smelled good. Highly recommend this establishment. 4.8 of 5 We will return to try other items on the menu!

Arrived at 11:20am for brunch so it wasn't busy. Waited forever for my mimosa. Ordered medium Lamb Chops and it came out VERY well done. I didn't want to take the food back bcs I was already hungry and didn't want to be that person. On the menu it stated that my meal will come with a glass of champagne. I asked the waitress about it and she said the menu was wrong. There were a lot of things on the menu that were "wrong" or they just didn't serve anymore. I just wish the menu was updated so people won't have certain expectations. Mac and cheese was okay. Mango mimosas were good. Overall 4/10 Probably wouldn't go back.

So if your looking for a vibe...Look no further! Music is jumping with live Dj on Sunday morning. Plenty of drink options and Hookah. Definitely a Im chillen with my girls spot. Now the food was just Okay. Our food took about 30 minutes to come out. The Pancakes lacked flavor and were limp! The shrimp and grits came out slightly warm. The grits were cooked too long and not mixed well with the cheese. But they gave a good amount of Shrimp! I can see the potential in this dish! The chicken and waffles were the best thing we ordered. The chicken tenders were big but overcooked but i like my chicken that way. The waffle was good with a layer of sweet sauce on top. I do not like eating with PLASTIC utensils! Now the service......Ive been treated nicer at waffle house. Customer service is not something they care about. Our waiter only smiled when it was time for us to leave. When asked for a recommendation, she didnt have an answer! But Hey if your looking for a vibe this is your spot!

The menu has so many tempting options that it was hard to choose, but we both landed on the Hot Chicken Sandwich with cayenne butter--and we're glad we did. It had the perfect amount of heat: enough to bring some spice without overpowering the flavor. On the side, I ordered the green beans after our bartender/server highly recommended them. Normally, green beans wouldn't be my first choice, but they were seasoned perfectly and ended up being one of the biggest surprises of the meal. My partner chose the mac and cheese, which was the superior side (although both were excellent). The service was friendly, attentive, and genuine throughout the evening. Despite arriving on a Friday night without a reservation, we had no trouble getting a table. They only accept reservations for parties of 5-8, so I'm glad we decided to take our chances. One of my favorite parts of the evening was chatting with another guest at the bar. He and his wife shared several entrées with their young son, and they couldn't stop raving about the short ribs--which their son happily claimed for himself by the end of the meal! They also highly recommended the salmon, so we've already got ideas for our next visit. The only real downside has nothing to do with the restaurant itself: parking in Scott's Addition can be a challenge. I'd recommend allowing yourself some extra time to find a spot or, even better, taking a rideshare so you can start enjoying your evening right away. Lunch. Supper! has earned its reputation as a longtime Richmond favorite. Great food, excellent service, and a relaxed atmosphere make this an easy five-star recommendation. We'll definitely be back.

Although I wanted my burger to be well done and I didn't get it that way, it was still pretty good. The fries though, I think was the best part of it. The fries were perfectly seasoned and crunchy! I also ordered a coke. Just a heads up, they don't do free refills on the sodas, so each cup is $4. My party also ordered salmon l'orange and a romano salad with salmon. My friends really enjoyed their main dishes, but we did ask for extra dressing. The restaurant is decorated in a boho-style vibe, and it was cute. We found the lighting on the side dining area to be a little bit too dim once the sun went down, but I do think it would've been perfect for a date night vibe. Overall, we had an okay experience.

Upon entering, I was reminded of a 1950s pharmacy by the humongous "Prescriptions" sign hanging above the bar, and the antique furniture, bar, and barstools splayed throughout Tarrant's. There was a solid crowd at the bar; it's clear there is a regular crowd that sits and hangs out here. We were promptly seated by a young blonde woman in the dining section (behind the bar). Our server, Nadia, was an enchanting brunette, training another young server, Sierra. She took our drink orders and gave us plenty of time to review the menu, checking in after a few minutes to see if we were ready. We finally decided, my partner ordered the 10" Bianca White (pizza), and I chose the Sailor Sandwich. Unfortunately, the sailor was not in the cards for me, and Nadia suggested the Reuben as they were similar. They brought out breadsticks while we waited, and the food arrived within 10-15 minutes. I was pleased with the atmosphere, the old-fashioned chandeliers, the large mirror, the floral paintings, and the rustic frames, all of which added to the restaurant's stated aesthetic. The pizza was hot and savory, while the Reuben had buttery toast, crispy corned beef, and a light smattering of sauerkraut (TBH, I didn't even notice the sauerkraut). For dessert, we indulged in the upside-down walnut apple pie, served with vanilla ice cream, all made from scratch, and beautifully delicate. Our time at Tarrant's Cafe seemed like a stroll into the past; the only indication of modernity was the ordering kiosk used by the staff. We truly enjoyed our time and had deeply meaningful conversations without enduring the hustle and bustle or the rowdy cacophony of an intense crowd.

It's a very popular restaurant, so today, when we entered, while we were greeted right away, there was a 30 minute wait. There's no physical menus, instead you scan a QR code which brings you to their menu. They have lots of drink options, including several specialty cocktails, beers, and ciders. Our waiter was super sweet and attentive, and the food came out relatively quickly. For my drink, I ordered a local cider from a Virginia ciderie, as well as the It's A Wrap, which has cheddar, ranch, mixed greens, tomatoes, onions, peppers, and your choice of protein (I got tofu). I also got a side of the Mac and cheese, which I could tell was made in house. Super creamy and flavorful with a hint of spice. My wrap was also insanely good! I'm impressed by the amount of vegetarian options here. Any burger can be made both gluten free or vegan, and the choices of protein make it more accessible for everyone who comes in.
