She shared the specials and made sure we knew where everything was on the menu. We started out with the bread bowl with butter and sundried tomato tempade it was very good! First of all, the Valentine's Day decor was above and beyond -- absolutely adorable and really made the whole place feel festive and cozy. They clearly put real effort into it, and it shows. Food-wise, everything we ordered was genuinely good. We started with the tuna nachos, fried goat cheese balls, and calamari -- all hits. For mains, I had the focaccia caprese sandwich, my husband went with the tacos, and our friend had the Caesar salad. Solid across the board. Standouts? 100% the tuna nachos and the goat cheese balls. And I have to say... the French fries were amazing too. One of those "how are these fries this good?" situations. Service was friendly and good overall, but I will say it took a little longer than expected to get drinks and food -- but honestly, they were completely slammed. It was the day before that Armageddon-level ice storm, so it felt like everyone was out grabbing "the last meal out" for a while. We didn't mind and weren't in a rush. One of my new favorite restaurant to go to. What a beautiful place especially during this holiday season. The decorations were magnificent and the ambiance was festive. The jazz band for the brunch was just the right sound for a lovely brunch. Our server Sam was so nice and attentive. He was knowledgeable of the menu and everything came out pretty fast. Not a long wait at all. The food was delicious. I had chicken & waffles with honey hot syrup. The chicken was perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. The waffle was dense and delicious. My friends and I were excited to try Napa Kitchen and Wine for the first time, especially after making reservations weeks in advance to enjoy the holiday décor. Unfortunately, the experience didn't match the hype. The issues started right away when the women's restroom had no toilet paper or paper towels. When our server took our drink orders, she pointed out that we didn't have water glasses. Instead of bringing any, she poured water into the wine glasses already set on the table. Our appetizers arrived quickly, but we were served soup without a soup spoon and had to track someone down to get one. The wine came out in a carafe with no glass to drink from because the wine glasses had already been used for water. The burnt ends were rubbery and soggy (they were removed from the check without issue), but the sushi was delicious. The biggest problem throughout the night was the lack of pre-bussing. Our appetizer plates and soy/wasabi dishes stayed on our table for the entire meal, and we noticed the same issue throughout the dining room. The couple next to us had oyster shells and multiple empty drinks stacked at the end of their table, and another group had built a pyramid of empty beer cans that went untouched. It was so noticeable that guests were commenting about it across tables. After finishing our entrées, we were looking forward to dessert. Since our server was missing again, we asked a passing employee for dessert menus. At this point, we had been at the restaurant for two hours. The desserts were all great, but no fresh silverware was provided. Thankfully, our appetizer and entrée dishes were still on the table, so we cleaned them ourselves to avoid another long wait. While the food itself was enjoyable, the service was consistently poor, and the restaurant didn't seem very busy. Overall, Napa Kitchen and Wine didn't deliver the experience we were hoping for, especially given the reputation and our anticipation. Hopefully we caught them on an off night. I cannot stress enough that the food during every course was AMAZING, so please don't let this review deter you from trying it. However, if great service is a priority for you, this may not be the restaurant for you. read more

We had not been there in a long time. The atmosphere was amazing, and, we had a great time staff was incredibly friendly and the service was excellent. My only suggestion is that for the old fashion they should use a hard coaster instead of a napkin so you can keep the smoke in the glass. Other than that the experience was great! They have an amazing happy hour and we ordered quite a few items off the HHM. Beware::: Imagine our surprise when we were charged full price at the end of our meal. Obviously, we had a new server who did not know what wines or apps were on the HHM. The prices were adjusted, but one item was only slightly reduced. All of this was due to the servers error. I was disappointed in the management for not honoring their HHM pricing, due to the servers error. This is not your customers issue, but one in which your staff needs better training. Last night we went out with another couple. My brother-in-law and his wife invited us out to celebrate my belated birthday. What a surprise to pull up to the restaurant and see it decorated for the holidays. It's a festive place that can get a little noisy, but it's fun noise. If you want a little more quiet, asked to sit in the side room in the back a wait staff were attentive and knowledgeable. I ordered the mahi-mahi and it was cooked to perfection. They offered me a free lemon bar for dessert. What's lovely as they serve the dessert and two pieces so you can share. Sunday Brunch w/ Jazz was a nice vibe. The Live Jazz is a 10/10 for the atmosphere & truly elevates the experience. My husband and I have been here a few times now. This was our first time coming here during the holidays and it was the first time seeing it decorated inside and out with fantastic Christmas decor. The food here has never failed to impress our taste buds. My husband always goes with the Filet Mignon and most recently, I went with the Chicken Veloute. Additionally, we got the Sensei sushi as an appetizer. I got one of their seasonal drinks and it was really strong. The Filet Mignon always tastes great, but a little under seasoned and smaller proportions than he'd usually like. The Chicken Veloute was really good, but a bit dry. Very fulfilling and flavorful still. The sushi was bigger than we expected and was an absolute treat. One of the best sushi dishes we've had in a long time surprisingly. For dessert, we got the 6-layer Chocolate Cake. It looks like a slice right of the Matilda movie. It was dense and full of sweet chocolate goodness. Service was great. Our waitress was very nice, checked on us often, and would joke with us. Overall, I highly recommend this place to anyone. Cheaper than the uber fancy restaurants, but way nicer than the normal restaurants you run into. Only reason I deducted a star is the portion sizes (subjective). read more

Saw this place on TikTok and wanted to try it out. My husband surprised me with a little date night here on a Thursday and I was pretty excited. This place gets busy so parking may be difficult and there may be a wait. I really like the festive Valentine's Day ambience with all the lights and decor. There was no host up front when we got there so we sat on a little couch by the bar- pretty comfy. Service was pretty slow the entire time we were there. I think what I ordered was called "for the girls"- seems seasonal. It was pretty good. We ordered the pork belly burnt ends- they missed the mark here. It was quite dry. My husband got the shrimp scampi risotto and really enjoyed it. I had the Churrasco steak with potatoes and elote. All components were quite good. No spice on the elote. Potatoes were well seasoned. Every time I've been to NAPA it's been wonderful. I've been twice while it's been decorated for the holidays. The first time was a Saturday evening in early December for my birthday. Our service was wonderful and there were plenty of open tables so the staff wasn't overwhelmed. The second time was the week before Christmas and they were overbooked. The staff did their absolute best to accommodate everyone and I applaud them on running like a well oiled machine. Between the two holiday visits I tried two of their cocktails and their blackberry sangria. All of them were yummy so I don't think you can go wrong with any of the options on the menu. We got sushi rolls, the sushi burrito, and the white fish that came with mashed potatoes and spinach. All were fresh, didn't taste fishy at all, and the toppings were well-balanced with the protein. NAPA is currently decorated beautifully for the holidays. I'd recommend also checking them out after the holidays when they're not as swamped. Before walking in you know you're in for a treat! I can't describe this vision you will need to see it yourself! Over a 40 minute drive for me but after seeing all the videos on Instagram and TikTok I had to see in person. The restaurant was packed and with good reason! Ample amount of seating inside and outside but with it being an hour wait I settled in at one of the bars. The Christmas ambiance is an under statement The special, cozy, joyful, and festive mood or atmosphere we all crave this time of year or at least I do. created by holiday sights, sounds, smells, and feelings, involving twinkling lights, and a sense of wonder, peace, and togetherness, transforming a space into a magical, celebratory environment. Now back to drinks and food... the drinks were aromatic and visual glamour and did I mention perfectly strong haha My Margherita pizza was a balance of sweet, tangy acidity from the tomatoes, creamy richness from the cheese, and a fresh "kiss" of herb from the basil. I also met another single at the bar who was also on a journey to hit up as many Christmas Pop Up Bars this month as I was..I will definitely go back so I can just experience the wine alone! We really enjoy going to this location. It is a little far away from where we live but has been worth the trip. Parking is decent as it is in a outdoor mall type of area. They have a lot of drink offerings and specials. They have a decent beer list and a pretty extensive wine list. I have had different entrees there and all have been good. I have had the Salmon and burgers. Last night I had the crab crusted flounder with a wedge salad. All of which were excellent. We had a good waiter who was attentive and helpful with a wine selection. The overall environment of the place is pretty good. It can get a little loud but not all the time. They do not rush you out the door either. 6 of us met for dinner last night and we had not seen each other in a while so we took our time ordering and eating so we could catch up with each other. I opted for the blackberry sangria (regular item), which is always so yummy. For my entree I went for the shrimp and scallop scampi special. Good taste but small portion for the price. We actually frequent Napa a good bit for their happy hour deal till 6pm , cheaper sushi, $1 oysters raw/fried, drink specials... love their smoked old fashioned $10. Highly recommend it. At any rate I went to Napa with some girlfriends to experience the holiday decorations and it was just so festive. I got their smoked old fashioned, and the Cacio e Pepe with shrimp and my girlfriends got the Shrimp Scampi Risotto. It was all delicious. We also got a bread basket (focaccia with butter and sun dried tomato). So this is my personal gripe... why are more restaurants moving to pay for bread... like Midlothian's Chef's Kitchen and 1870... bread is so cheap why don't we just get it with out meal lol) Good times regardless! read more

While the ambience did not disappoint, nor did the food, the service was subpar... We had a reservation got there 15 minutes before the reservation, which is fine we knew we were early... But did not get seated for another 40 minutes after we had to go back up to the hostess stand... It took quite a while to get drinks... The sweet potato fries were absolutely perfect--crispy, flavorful, and cooked just right. The burger was juicy and well-seasoned, definitely not dry. I'd give it a solid 8 out of 10. Kelly was our server. The service wasn't over the top, but it wasn't lacking either. She did a good job and kept things running smoothly. The inside of the restaurant is absolutely stunning. Visited for the first time this weekend (I actually came twice lol) and I loved it! They still have up their Christmas decor, which is amazing! My service was also pretty good. The first time I came, I tried the she crab soup and bread basket. My friend also shared her calamari with me. The she crab soup was amazing and I loved the presentation! The bread was also really good, but I wanted to eat it with my soup and it came very late -- so that's my only gripe. The calamari was also good as it wasn't super chewy. However, I do wish it was fried a bit longer for a little extra crisp. The waiter also served us some complimentary wine samples, which I thought was nice. The second time I came, I ordered a California roll and a Caesar Salad (I opted to include the anchovies). The California roll was made with real lump crab meat. I thought that it would be amazing, but I actually didn't like it much. I definitely wouldn't order it again. The Caesar salad was okay, but the anchovies were super salty so I ended up taking them out. I probably wouldn't order that again either. Next time, I know to stick with the she crab and bread basket! I'm definitely visiting again and will try other menu items! Looking forward to giving this place 5 stars! read more

I came by last week and after drinks and food at the bar squeezed into a wine-dinner pairing hosted by the chef and a visiting Somm. Great lettuce wraps, oysters, and Shishito Peppers I had during Happy Hour. Friendly service and the Somm gave up his seat to squeeze me onto the ticketed dinner--thank you management for taking care of me! My wife was out of town (she's a Somm too anx presents things like this on a larger scale with wine makers present from Europe. Atmosphere, vibe, and ambiance were amazing--kind of like being in Napa. They allow dogs on the patio so I know I'm coming back with my wife and 2 Aussies. Currently decorated for the holiday, this spot is a great suburban location of casual upscale food. Happy hour prices are really good and you can truly make a meal out of them. They have a pour yourself wine bar and cozy couch area to sit and enjoy it. Their cocktails are pretty good too considering they're a wine bar. There are two bars and an extensive dining room. They have a good looking kids menu, if you need or want to bring the kids. Staff is friendly and attentive to your needs. With the holiday decorated them, they're swamped, so we recommended reservations, but you can also go early and get in or have a short wait. We arrived about 30 minutes early and were seated right away. The Christmas décor was absolutely adorable -- definitely the highlights of the visit. Our server greeted us, and since it was my boyfriend's first time, we took a moment to look over the menu. It took a while for the server to return, but we eventually placed our appetizer and entrée orders. I was only drinking water and specifically asked for ice water. He came back with just ice, and my water carafe was never refilled the entire meal. Our appetizer came out, and within seconds the entrées arrived as well. The table was too small to comfortably fit everything, and although the server checked on us at that moment, we were still eating our appetizer. After that, he disappeared again. I didn't like the dressing on my salad and tried to get his attention, but he didn't return for about 20 minutes. By the time I got a different dressing, I wasn't even hungry anymore -- and it didn't improve the dish. When he asked if we wanted to see the dessert menu, he left our plates on the table and didn't come back with the menu for about 10 minutes. We eventually decided to skip dessert, and even clearing the plates took longer than it should have. The restaurant wasn't busy, so we weren't sure why the service was so slow and inconsistent. We felt pretty ignored throughout the meal. The food didn't match the pricing, the service was disappointing, and overall the experience wasn't worth it. The only thing we truly enjoyed was the festive décor -- five stars for that, but unfortunately it's the only thing they have going for them. read more

For our entrees we got the Shrimp Risotto (8/10) it was a little watery but good, the Hibachi steak fried rice (5/10), the Churrasco Steak (7/10), and the kids smash burger meal (8/10) according to my 5 year old, lol. For desert we had the Bourbon caramel cheesecake bars (6/10) which was a little dry and did not have any bourbon taste. Overall, I enjoyed being there. The energy is great.
