It was so good, felt compelled to leave a review!! Literally the BEST Chilean Sea Bass I've ever tasted. Seafood "soup" was a brand new wonderful experience. Xena was very attentive and helpful and William helped top off the night with what I could only liken to an old time favorite in the college days... a buttery nipple. A must when in Richmond.

    Fresh catch of the day.

Henley on Grace delivers a warm and welcoming dining experience. While my main dish didn't quite hit the mark for me, the overall experience more than made up for it. The owner truly sets the tone. He is friendly, attentive, and genuinely engaged with guests. He makes everyone feel at home, which adds so much to the atmosphere. The customer service was excellent, the ambiance inviting, and the vibes relaxed yet refined. Standout items for me were the calamari with truffle chips, which were perfectly done, and the seafood soup, which was absolutely delightful and full of flavor. I didn't order the lobster pasta this time, but it looked superb and will definitely be my choice on the next visit. Henley on Grace is worth a visit for the hospitality, ambiance, and standout starters alone. I'll be back.

This might have been my best meal in Richmond so far! The owner is a quirky guy who loves his craft - you can feel it when he interacts. He is patient and willing to explain the ins and outs of the food you're ordering. The food was delicious. We had the daily special, which was a pasta with mushrooms and lobster. It was incredible! I could've eaten 10 servings of it! I ordered the Fresno Seafood Pasta as my entree. It was good, though the appetizer takes the cake. This is a wine bar, so plan accordingly. They do have beer and cocktail options as well. The dining room is comfortable - nothing crazy but a range of table sizes. We went for work, it was a dinner of about 25 or so. They may have been a little overwhelmed, but we are an energetic bunch! So we are, admittedly, a handful. Overall, it was a great experience and I'll definitely be back.

I came here for brunch with one of my friends during the weekend. We came a bit early, so we were the first ones in the restaurant that day. I ordered the veggie frittata. I really liked the potatoes on the side. The food was overall good - not the best brunch I've had in my life but it was still decent. Server was very kind. The inside of the restaurant is decorated nicely. I think it is a good option for brunch in Richmond area but not my all time favorite option.

Fresno Seafood Pasta: Hand-rolled Pappardelle Pasta, loaded with a Seared U8 Scallop, Giant Shrimp, Jumbo Crabmeat, Sundried Tomatoes,

Full Disclosure: this Yelp review is a bit myopic. I've dined at Henley on Grace twice and both times were to pre-game before a concert at The National. On both occasions my wife and I split the Fresno Seafood Pasta and quaffed down several cocktails. I've been in Richmond long enough to remember this spot use to be The Red Door. I'm happy to see it's alive and thriving as Henley on Grace. I find the interior of the place charming and inviting. The wait staff are total professionals and on both occasions the services was top notch. The food is decadent and rich. I say food but what I really mean is the only dish I've tried, the Fresno Seafood Pasta. This dish is first class, and the menu describes the dish as follows: Hand-rolled Pappardelle Pasta, loaded with a Seared U8 Scallop, Giant Shrimp (2), Jumbo Crabmeat, Sundried Tomatoes, Spinach and Fresh Herbs in a Mushroom and Seafood Sauce. For those wondering what a U8 scallop is; it's the size. A U8 scallop is super colossal just like the $36 price tag of this dish. Worth every penny. Henley on Grace is very posh and I'm glad it's here in Richmond. I would 100% recommend this place for a romantic date night. As I stated earlier this review is a bit myopic but perhaps the term I'm looking for is insufficient. I owe it to myself to take my wife here for a full three course dinner. I have a feeling it will also be a 5-star experience.

If anyone is looking for a spot for wine and phenomenal appetizers for happy hour and beyond. This. Is. It. My roommate and I came in, seated right away, and were treated like queens by the staff here. The vast options of wine - perfect. The happy hour deals - beautiful. Food - filling and flavorful. Would highly recommend this spot to anyone in need of a delicious spot! Will definitely be coming here again!

Lamb Chops chef-kissed medium rare perfection

Henley on Grace made a Canceled (Jazz at The Hippodrome by FEVER ol double booked so canceled) turned around. Owner of Henley made my Lamb Chops just right and turned it around to the correct medium rare! So unique in this business. We'd come back just for the Naan Bread and a glass (or two of Wine) as this is a wine bar. HoG with open any bottle if 2 glasses are purchased. We will be back next week! Reservations recommended; necessary on those 12 First Fridays every year!

First time this evening, and WOW service and food was amazing! Started with the cauliflower appetizer, glass of chardonnay for the wife and Ol fashion for me. Both were very nice. The cauliflower tasted very good and did not last long For the entrees, the wife had the portobello mushroom dish, with artichokes, asparagus and several veggies. She loved it! I had the Fresno Seafood pasta and oh my goodness, it was fantastic. The scallop and shrimp were delicious, complimented the pasta and sauce. Portion sizes were very generous. Our server had a trainee and they both provided impeccable service! Thank You

Henley on Grace is a really great dining option for a night in downtown. They serve brunch and dinners, they also include a kids menu, which is holiday themed this time of year. The win menu is also quite extensive with a wonderful selection. For appetizers, I highly suggest trying the calamari and the meatballs. Both of them are cooked to perfection and are served with fantastic marinara sauce. The group I went with enjoyed the Smashburger, Steak, Duck, Salad with Chicken and Salmon. All were very happy with their meals. I tried the Vegetarian Mushroom and really enjoyed it. The Balsamic Glaze is truly what made the dish! I do recommend carving out quite a bit of time for your meal, as it took about an hour for us to receive our entrees. The servers are extremely kind and helpful though, so you will enjoy your time there!

    The calamari was delightful

My first visit to Henley on Grace was exceptional. The food was absolutely divine. The service & the attentiveness of the staff & the owner were top notch. A restaurant I would return to again & again. A restaurant that feels like home. I could not have asked for a better experience

The parking lot is small, and there is a pothole in the alley near the parking lot entrance that will bottom out an SUV. Apparently, there is additional parking, but we didn't see it in the dark. I had the poke bowl last time, and I remember it being chilled and gently flavored. The avocado and spicy mayo did a lot of the heavy lifting. It was filling and very healthy. My partner enjoyed the Ipanema Sandwich last time we visited. This time around we snacked on the fried halloumi (fried cheese and mint yogurt dip) and Lumpia, taquito-type beef rolls, with sweet and sour dip. I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Riverside Tavern on Forest Hill Avenue…read more I ordered the grilled salmon with mashed potatoes and asparagus to go for $23.00. When I opened the container, I was shocked to find that the salmon portion was barely larger than my finger. It looked more like a sample than an entrée. I have attached photos because words alone don't adequately capture how small it was. What makes this even more frustrating is that I have ordered this exact meal before while dining in with my family, and the salmon portion I received then was easily three times larger. So this isn't a case of unrealistic expectations--I know what this dish normally looks like. I called the restaurant to express my concern, hoping they would make it right. Instead, the bartender responded with, "The portions are cut how they are cut," as if that somehow justified charging full price for such a tiny piece of fish. When I asked to speak with the owner, I was told, "You won't be talking to the owner. I'll just give him your information." There was no apology, no offer to replace the meal, no effort to address my concern--just complete indifference. If portions have been reduced, customers should be informed before paying premium prices. If this was simply an inconsistent serving, then quality control is seriously lacking. Either way, charging $23 for what amounts to a nugget of salmon is unacceptable. I used to enjoy Riverside Tavern and specifically ordered this meal because I had a good experience previously. Unfortunately, this visit--and especially the way my complaint was handled--has left me questioning whether I'll be back.

This is the restaurant in the lobby of the Omni, and their room service menu has a really solid variety. Appetizers, soups and salads, sandwiches, fish, chicken, steak, seafood, other meat options, plus plenty of sides and desserts. There's something for whatever mood you're in. For my appetizer I ordered the fried green tomatoes. I'm very picky about fried green tomatoes because if they're not done right, they can be greasy and heavy. These were not. They were thick wedges of firm green tomatoes in a light batter, stacked with a spread of pimento cheese and finished with a drizzle of honey. The balance of savory and sweet worked really well, and the texture was exactly what I look for -- crisp outside, tender yet firm inside. For my entrée I chose the roasted lamb rack. It came as two double ribs over a sweet potato purée that had a subtle hint of cinnamon -- really nice flavor without being overpowering. The lamb was cooked to the right temperature, juicy and tender, with a light chimichurri and vegetables alongside. I also ordered the grilled corn succotash as a side -- corn, beans, and tomato.
