3 of us stopped in here for dinner on a Saturday evening. It was not empty but not full either. We were seated quickly. The service was good throughout. I got a Turkey Rueben and the others got burgers of some sort. They came out correct, quick and hot. We hung around some after and were not rushed out. Definitely worth a try and we will be back as we hang out down there some with friends.

This super affordable elevated diner is really cute! They have awesome happy hour deals and plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors. My friends and I came here before a movie screenings at Studio Two Three. They had parking spots out front and free street parking nearby. The people who work here are incredibly sweet. Our waiter was very playful and funny. He made us laugh a few times and was really attentive. We were a group of a five and everything went smoothly. Our gluten-free friend was even able to get any sandwich and switch the bread. We went on a Tuesday so they had Tito's Tuesday going on with cheap spiked Limeade specials. There were a lot of drink specials. I can't remember the name of the cheerwine whisky special I got, but that was creative! Their food servings are HUGE HERE. You can really get a bang for your buck. I could barely finish my Continental Club. It was a very stacked club and I think I would've prefered something else. We also got happy hour mozzarella sticks. It's a sweet American spot! I'd be excited to try other things on the menu.

I'll jump right to the espresso martini - i appreciate being asked if I typically like my coffee sweet or not so the flavor could be adjusted + it was wonderful! A great balance of espresso + vodka and a pretty foam right on top. We had our order taken within 5 minutes of arrival and it came out correct. We loved sitting outside and car + people watching. There's also a large TV outside to watch sports games on. Back to the food... The French toast deserves a round of applause...I wasn't expecting as much on my plate but I was happy to get it. And the berries were a nice touch. The spicy honey chicken is understandably popular! The bread was perfect for the mildly saucy chicken and the entire thing was yummy! The Continental Crush was ok... but lackluster compared to my espresso martini.

Just discovered this gem in an area that has been (and still is) revitalized into a more modern and upscale urban community. Many new apartments and businesses surrounding, but still offering off-street parking, this Restaurant/bar/gastropub fits in perfectly. We stopped by for lunch today, and we were greeted warmly, seated immediately. Server was friendly and helpful, pointing out some of the customers favorites. I opted for the Banh Mi: slow roasted pork, ham, pickled veggies, cilantro, and sambal mayo on a crunchy torpedo. Wife enjoyed a Salmon Reuben: pastrami spiced salmon on rye with continental sauce, swiss cheese and jicama apple slaw. Both come with a choice of side, ranging from super healthy to indulgent. I opted for Asiago covered broccolini, while wife had sweet potato fries (asking for no salt was no problem). All were excellent (although I won with my Bahn Mi!). Portions were generous, although so tasty we didn't waste very much at all. We decided next time to maybe split an order, which would certainly be enough, but there are many other choices that we still want to try. (Saw one lady with a lamb dip that looked enticing, and a salad was carried to another customer that seemed very generous.). Finally, their breads and rolls were exceptional! Torpedo roll was crusty exterior with pillowy soft inside, and the rye was seeded caraway and herbs, freshly baked. Bar looked nice and there were a number of drink specials offered - I can imagine that this is a vibrant place in the evening! Definitely will be back when in the area!

We come here often because we love the food and service. At the risk of aging myself, I really really enjoy good service. I can deal with food issues but service is key to me. Do yourself a favor and give The Continental a try.. The Tiki Masala wings and chorizo nachos were delicious and Anastasia's service was above and beyond, in fact the whole crew from host, cooks, manager were amazing. We will absolutely be back!

I stopped here for brunch with an out-of-town friend before an afternoon of Manchester-area brewery hopping. Conveniently located on Hull Street, this is the sister restaurant to the Libbie/Grove Continental -- a venue closer to me that I've frequented much more. It was pretty toasty outside, so we opted to sit inside and were seated in a 2-person booth after a brief wait. The restaurant is cute and on the smaller side, and they seemed mildly understaffed as it did take a while to get our food. I ordered a spinach and feta omelet and subbed a salad instead of potatoes. I also ordered a coffee, which was pretty good. The omelet was okay - not my favorite by any means - but made better with salt and pepper. My friend enjoyed his BLT. I'd return sometime to try their dinner options.

We love this place and keep coming. Today we had lunch and our food was great. Each dish was made generously with fresh ingredients, I was glad that we could switch French Fries to Vegetable. My husband ordered beef brisket was very tender and soft. Noon time was pretty crowded but our server was friendly. There is a small market place next to the restaurant which has good coffee and light box to go food with choices. It is a nice place for family gatherings.

Me and my boyfriend come here often for date nights, the service is always amazing and the food is mouth watering!! The restaurant is super comfy and cozy. It is super convenient as it is a short walk from us. The penne vodka ala continental is amazing! 5 stars all around.

One of my favorite spots in Richmond for lunch. This is the first time I have gotten to go and they were timely and as always great service. I usually get the salmon reuben but decided to try the Turkey Reuben this time. I have to say I might have like the turkey even better due to the texture and flavor that came from the turkey. I got sweet potato fries to go with them that were perfectly crispy, even to go! I'm sure I will be trying them again soon!

We went to The Continental today for lunch and it was amazing! We were sat quickly and even the though the place was packed the service was quick and friendly. Due to unforeseen plans we had to get our entrees Togo which they had no problem with and we were out in 5 minutes. I ordered the vodka lime aid a beer French deep and my husband ordered the Cobb salad. All were amazing and we will definitely be back!

I like the place for the service and drinks. The food is pretty spot on but can sometimes be a miss. I will say that the service has always been excellent even when they are slammed busy. I got the Pancho Villa which was a massive serving and messy! The home fries were cooked and seasoned to perfection. We got our little ones the maple sausage corn dogs to share and they were delicious! Next time I will likely order the corn dog for myself!

Had brunch here on a Saturday. Our server Karla was very welcoming and explained very well some of the choices in the menu. Brisket Benedict was soo delicious. The poached eggs, hollandaise on top with the very yummy home fries were excellent. Salmon Reuben was fresh, light yet very flavorful. I split the french toast into two for dessert (hence the serving portion in the picture). The yogurt, whipped cream on top of the yummy toast with syrup was perfect to end the meal there. Though there were some flies in the restaurant, the food, service and ambience were that awesome that I would give it a 5/5.

No problem since mornings can be hectic. 5 minutes later my friend went in to check again, still nothing. Yet another 5 minutes later and this time the owner shouts at me and yells that I am impatient and that they had a big order come in just before we'd ordered. All fine and dandy but the owner continued to shout and berate my friend and I until I demanded a refund ( asking to leave my $2 tip amount. I've heard complaints about this individual before but I'd never experienced his stoic faced rudeness until today. My suggestion is that you avoid this place as much as possible.

I didn't want to ask for it to be placed back on the grill because I didn't really want to wait longer for my food. Although I wanted my burger to be well done and I didn't get it that way, it was still pretty good. The fries though, I think was the best part of it. The fries were perfectly seasoned and crunchy! Appetizers, soups and salads, sandwiches, fish, chicken, steak, seafood, other meat options, plus plenty of sides and desserts. There's something for whatever mood you're in. For my appetizer I ordered the fried green tomatoes. I'm very picky about fried green tomatoes because if they're not done right, they can be greasy and heavy. These were not. They were thick wedges of firm green tomatoes in a light batter, stacked with a spread of pimento cheese and finished with a drizzle of honey. The balance of savory and sweet worked really well, and the texture was exactly what I look for -- crisp outside, tender yet firm inside. For my entrée I chose the roasted lamb rack. It came as two double ribs over a sweet potato purée that had a subtle hint of cinnamon -- really nice flavor without being overpowering. The lamb was cooked to the right temperature, juicy and tender, with a light chimichurri and vegetables alongside. I also ordered the grilled corn succotash as a side -- corn, beans, and tomato. It was fresh and bright and complemented the richness of the lamb perfectly. This is my second time dining here.
