Oh man where do it start! This restaurant concept is awesome! It's like chipotle with choosing your fixings but Vietnamese ingredients! First, you pick your bowl (yes, it's a nice size bowl) of either rice or vermicelli noodles, then pick your protein (I ordered grilled pork) and then choose your fixings and top it off with sauces. For fixings, I had the shredded lettuce, chopped tomatoes, corn, edamame beans, grilled peppers and onions, cilantro, pickled carrots and radish, soy sprouts, crushed peanuts and crispy fried shallots along with sweet and sour sauce on the side....oh hot damn, it was delicious! The best part, it's fresh and loaded with veggies so my waist says thank you! The pork was perfectly seasoned and cooked right in front of us when we placed the order. The only downfall was that I found a shrimp shell in my summer roll. It was most definitely unpleasant finding a shell. They only have 1 size for the pho. Each bowl comes out with 1 personal plate with bean sprouts, lime, basil, and jalapeno peppers. The broth was good. The noodles were freshly cooked and chewy. 1 star taken off for my summer roll having shrimp shell. The presentation for the summer roll was brilliant. I have been having lunch here on Tuesday and Friday for several years. Always enjoyed the food and staff. Recently Phoup open a new restaurant and moved all the staff to that location and have brought in new staff. The quality of service has deteriorated to the point I am not sure I will return in the near future. I noticed today on Friday--and last Tuesday--that lunch hour is not as busy as it was in the past. The Pho and rolls are still great but the service is driving people away. I for one will find a new lunch place. Sad because good Pho is hard to find. read more

My friends and I stopped in recently after a long trip at OC. We ordered the #1 Pho, bun bo hue, spring rolls, taro smoothies and Vietnamese coffee. Flavor wise everything was on point. The drinks were really strong in flavor. We loved the Pho and spring rolls. The Vietnamese coffee definitely had that extra kick to it. We loved the Pho and spring rolls. Only downside was the BBH lacked flavor. Specifically the lack of shrimp paste and strong beef flavor. It tasted more like Pho with some sate sauce and pork put in it. With current Covid conditions the restaurant has barriers between each seat and the entire staff including the cooks were wearing masks and gloves. They currently offer take out and dine in. I do love how they offer a buy 5 of the same item special and get the 6th free. This includes drinks and soups. Honestly would I venture out here for Pho probably not. But, if I'm ever in the area and my group is craving Vietnamese food this may satisfy our cravings. read more

I'm not much of a soup person unless I make it or it's chowdah. Definitely not a pho person and I thought this place would have other options, but the menu was limited to pho and a couple of appetizers. I got a spicy beef and pork pho and some egg rolls. Egg rolls were good, but the meat in the pho was terrible and other than some spiciness, there wasn't much of a flavor profile in the broth. The beef was thinly sliced as you would expect, but fatty and with gristle. The pork was some kind of sliced processed lunch meat like bologna. Came here because I was craving pho. There aren't a ton of pho options in the Annapolis area, and I'm not about to drive to Virginia, so this was a satisfactory option. I'd give my experience a 3.5. It's a pretty small place with a handful of tables. The portion sizes are large and the prices are decent (~$10). The service is meh. We waited a while to get served and then once the food was out we never saw our server again, but I think maybe she was the only one at the front of the house and working the takeout orders as well. I am guessing that the folks of the de-funked Viet-Thai opened this fast casual Pho location. It's certainly has the value that Viet-Thai never had. The extensive options and the "Chipolte" type menu and service create many dining options. While the quality falls very short of the type of Pho you might find in Northern Virginia it's a great local option for Pho. read more

My boyfriend and I don't like to pay for what we can make at home. We've tried making pho- it's harder than you'd think to perfect. When we go out to Pho, we expect to pay around $15/bowl and we know it's worth it- if it's good. My boyfriend ordered the beef combo bowl with meatball, tripe, brisket and some others: the broth was delicious and perfectly hot, it was meaty (my bf wanted more meatballs) and had lots of noodles, with fresh basil and crunchy bean sprouts. I started with the shrimp and pork salad rolls (I asked for no pork and they forgot, but I didn't mind because it was thickly sliced and cooked well) and I ended up getting a second order for us to share because it was so yummy. Good ratios of noodles, lettuce and meat in a tight wrap. Both of these things on the menu were delicious and good quality but this is what we've come to expect when eating pho back home. 5 star service. The staff is wonderful. They even bring you your check. Old school Vietnamese restaurants make you pay at the counter. 5 star pho and goi cuon. The Pho broth was clear and flavorful. It's really nice to finally have a good pho spot in Annapolis, let me tell you. Their broth is spot on and the noodles are very tasty, but the meat in general felt much lower quality than other pho places in the DC metro area. I've tried everything on their menu at least once and the only meat options I'd really recommend are the chicken and shrimp. This isn't to say the rest is bad, just that I felt let down by it compared to what I'm used to. The star rating reflects that. Besides that one thing, everything about this place is great. I particularly love how nice the staff is; they've come by and joked with us about random stuff, but they'll also just leave you alone if that's your thing. They're also really good for pickup after work! All said, if you've been craving pho in Annapolis, definitely give this spot a try. Small/friendly restaurant. I decided to try a rice bowl from this restaurant. I chose the beef for my protein and I thought they gave me enough but they cooked more just to give me an even larger portion (impressive). Their restaurant is very similar to chipotle but in my humble opinion better, with fresher options to choose from. You can choose from a rice, noodle or salad bowl. Chicken, beef, or tofu and then a selection of items to top it with. Lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, corn, carrots, bell peppers, bean sprouts, etc. with a side of sauces. I dined here for the first time tonight and was pleased with the food and the service! The restaurant itself wasn't fancy or huge, but it was clean and the tables were comfortably spaced out. The experience started off on a positive note when I was pleasantly greeted upon walking in the door. The first gentleman who took our order was a bit difficult to understand with his accent; however, he was very kind in repeating himself and answering my questions. The younger male and female servers, who waited on us the remainder of the night, were much easier to understand and were very pleasant and attentive to us. We started by inquiring about the vegetarian summer rolls. I was told that the dipping sauce contained fish sauce but that it could be removed since I'm vegan. Our order came with four rolls. The vegetables seemed fresh, and the sauce tasted good. For my entree, I ordered the (chay) pho with tofu and vegetables. The veggie broth was flavorful; the rice noodles were plentiful; and the vegetables were well cooked, though I wish there had been a bit more broccoli and carrots. I was glad to see that the bean sprouts were served on the side instead of mixed into the pho, because I don't care for them. The portion was very generous. In fact, I couldn't finish the entire bowl and took about 1/3 of it home to eat the next day! Our experience ended positively, as our server transferred our leftovers into to-go containers and then gave us pieces of wrapped candy with the check. The staff is very friendly and the items are packaged really well so you can put your pho together at home. I tend to select the various beef options, and it's always tasty. This is an updated review, and I am very glad I tried again. I walked in for carryout. I got #1 which is rare steak pho, to go. It only took about 5 mins for them to prep it; and they did switch to cans-only of soda which is a bit expensive. I got home (25 mins drive) and the broth was still piping hot. The sprouts/basil/ etc. were fresh in their own baggie; the meat, own baggie; the bowl with noodle and onions separate too. Again, I feel more noodle would be best with size bowl (plus I love noodles). But this was so much better than my last experience. I had not been here since it was remodeled at Pho 5up. Broth is delicious and flavorful. And the leftovers were great too - you have to separate teh broth back into the container and store that separate from the bowl. Then reheat the broth and pour back - voila. read more

I've eaten at Fit Noodle now about a dozen times since it's opening last month. It really is a fresh and healthy meal and doesn't bog you down like many other foods will.
