I had been eyeing this place for a while and finally made my first visit! I was tired of the usual fast food and wanted something healthier that didn't sacrifice flavor. The restaurant is small but cute inside, and I was greeted as soon as I walked in. I ordered the beef skewers, shrimp summer rolls, shrimp fried rice, and a shrimp salad. My food was ready within the quoted 15-20 minutes, which I appreciated. Once I got everything home, I dug right in. The shrimp salad was incredible! It came with a small container of dressing (I believe it was fish sauce), and it absolutely packed a punch with flavor. I'll definitely be coming back just for this salad. The beef skewers came with two skewers served over a bed of noodles. The beef was tender, juicy, and full of flavor. I also tried the shrimp fried rice, which was delicious. The rice was well-seasoned, and they were very generous with the shrimp. The shrimp summer rolls were fresh and tasty, although I wish the peanut sauce on the side had a little more spice. Total came out to approximately $20 (not including tip). What's Hot - Quality. Delicious. My vegetable pho with tofu and vegetables included ingredients like broccoli, carrots, tofu cubes, nappa cabbage and even daikon. - Menu. This is one of the most extensive menus I've seen at a Vietnamese restaurant. Not only do they have the standard pho options, to include bun and drinks, but there are also clay pot options, Singaporean noodles, savory crepes, seafood, and vegan options. There is the option of ordering vegetable broth, which I did, and was delicious. - Price. For the portions and quality of the food, good value for money. I ordered a large pho. That in combination with my summer rolls was enough to get me full and not stuffed. - Service. Because there was a small group of us, we asked they provide us separate checks, which they did. They did a good job of keeping track of our orders and our final tabs were accurate. We did not wait a long time for our food, as well. The only thing that took longer than the pho was the crepe that my friend ordered, but it wasn't too long. My group took a while to order, because we were chatty. We also stuck around for some time after finishing our meals. Their staff was great in checking in on us and refilling our water afterwards. For me, the mark of good service is when they continue to check in on your even after paying your tab. - Layout. It's a small restaurant, but there are booths and tables. There's also a good size parking lot in the plaza. What's Not - Layout. Their layout does not appear to accommodate groups more than 6 people. It looks like they have significantly expanded their menu, adding a lot of cool and unique options that I haven't seen there before. It's great to see them growing and offering even more variety. No. 51 SPICY HONEY SHRIMP & FRIED RICE - $18.95 The shrimp itself was a standout, beautifully crispy, sweet, and finished with a nice hint of heat. The dish includes broccoli and carrots which added a good crunch. While the fried rice was a bit mild on its own, I found the ultimate fix: I stirred in some of their chili oil, and it completely transformed the dish into something delicious and savory. From presentation to taste, CHEFS KISS!!!!!!!!! Beyond the food, I was really impressed by how clean and nice the shop is kept. It's rare to find a place that feels this fresh and well-cared for. Most importantly, the service is top-tier. The staff is incredibly warm and makes you feel right at home. Very attentive and accommodating which is a plus for me. Stopped into VN Noodle in Bowie, MD on a cold, rainy day when a bowl of pho was absolutely necessary--and they did not disappoint. I've been eating pho for years, and their pho ga hit all the right notes. Even though it's a chicken pho, the broth had that rich beef-based depth and a gentle kick of spice. I added a bit of Sriracha and hoisin to each bite and it was perfection. The bowl came loaded with fresh ingredients--jalapeños, scallions, and a generous handful of herbs. Everything smelled amazing and tasted even better. Granted, i am a tough critic since i am very familiar with vietnamese cuisine, but this place overall was heavy on the salt and tasted like it was NOT made with love): Got com heo nuong and the rice was bad, meat was fine but definitely saltier side. Bun thit nuongs were alright but again, meats were heavily salted. Flavor was not giving. Service was kind. Initially gave us the wrong order, but brought out the correct dish for us. I'm not sure why I've taken so long to post a review for this place. I absolutely love them. It's been my Pho go to for quite some time. We usually get P1. It a good variety of meats and the broth is very rich and flavorful. I've even had the tofu pho while maintaining a meat free diet and enjoyed it equally as much. We also love the Vietnamese summer rolls and the beef with hot pepper and lemon grass. We definitely need to venture out and try some other items, but we've been extremely happy with what we have had. I forgot to take pictures this time ‍ but will upload some next time. I am a big fan of this restaurant, I discovered Vn Noodle on my vegan journey in January. The curried tofu and vegetarian pho are great vegan/ vegetarian options. There are not many vegan-friendly options in the area, I was happy to come across Vn noodle during my journey. In general, they offer a really solid vegan/vegetarian menu. After transitioning back to my normal diet I tried the beef noodle pho and the Thai ice tea (I know this is a Vietnamese restaurant but the Thai tea is amazing) is my favorite. Food here is always fresh an well-seasoned. While many other Vietnamese eateries in the area make their dishes sweeter for their American patrons, this place focuses more on savory onion, garlic, and pepper flavors. The menu includes most of the standard fare: pho, rice, and noodle dishes with the usual appetizers. No Banh Mi sandwiches here, but they do have some other unique entrees. Most notable of those are the roast quail and clay pot dishes, the latter of which I highly recommend. Service is quick and friendly.
