I've been here 3 or 4 times now. The staff is always pleasant and the restaurant is always clean. Both of which I very much appreciate. The food is good, but could definitely use a bit more flavor (even if it is mild) as another Yelper stated. They automatically give you mild if you don't specify which I forgot. I will return, just have to remember that. I got the Pineapple Fried Rice for the second time and it was good. It comes with chicken and shrimp which I like. And you get a nice sized portion for your money. I might get it another time to see if the dish is more flavorful with a higher spice level.

Family owned and authentic. They have dine in but I'm guessing many people don't because it's non traditional service. You order at the counter and then they deliver it to your table. I was the only Dining customer for my entire lunchtime. My meal was fabulous. Pad Woon Sen was Choice of meat or just vegetables, stir-fried with cellophane noodles, baby corn, bell peppers, onions, scallions, Napa cabbage, carrots and eggs. Served with Thai jasmine rice. YUM. Lost a star because music was too loud to enjoy my meal. And it was staticky. When I mentioned it my concern was noted but nothing done about it.Music should compliment the experience not invade it. It's in my travel circle so I plan on getting takeout in the future.

Thai Food

The food was fresh and excellent, service was quick, staff attentive. No major ambiance but the place was very clean including the bathroom. It's a small restaurant, we decided to dine in since we were in the area, but not for the ambiance. It has a lot of foot traffic for order pick-ups. I would eat there again

Great new Cafe, simple comfortable decor. Pleasant staff. I had-- Drunken noodles w/shrimp. This dish was delicious!! Just enough spice, cooked well and very flavorful. Fried rice with shrimp. Flavor was great, and I especially loved the tomatoes in it. Texture was different however. Rice was more like a quinoa texture. Food is great!

My husband was here for business and saw the Thai place. He ordered panang chicken and Pad Kra Prow because he couldn't decide. Both were excellent.

10.9.2023-Out celebrating Indigenous Peoples Day & happened upon this restaurant. We were actually planning to go to Ashlings Kitchen & Bar (located on the same strip) but forgot they were closed on Mondays. The fact that Maprow Thai was completely empty on a holiday at 6pm gave me pause but my friend encouraged me to try. This is a no frills restaurant with a small seating area as soon as you enter. We went to the register, advised that we're dining in and proceeded to order shrimp cakes & curry puffs for appetizers. For entrees we ordered the Thai fried rice & Crab fried rice. The food took about 25 minutes. I liked the flavor & texture of the apps but the size of the shrimp cakes reminded me of chicken nuggets. My Thai fried rice was tasty. However, the crab fried rice lacked flavor. It was next to impossible to get the one front facing employee's attention. When we shared our issue she frowned & just shook her head. We even asked for salt & pepper, she said they didn't have any. I asked for water a couple times. When I finally went to the front to ask again she slid me 2 cups that looked like they belonged in a 1980s daycare. I noticed most of their business was generated from mobile ordered. I have definitely had better Thai & have no reason return. Our business wasn't appreciated.

My favorite place for Thai in Crofton. Located next to Ledo's Pizza is a tiny restaurant/carry out selling fresh and tasty Thai. I've only had the drunken noodles. pineapple fried rice and curry puffs. Everything has been great and spiced to you preference. Inside is a few tables for dining but it's more a carry out as there's no alcohol served. The staff are friendly and very efficient. Highly recommend checking it out.

Caterpillars in my Broccoli. Twice. This location used to be Pick Thai, changed management in the beginning of 2023 to now be Ma Prow Thai. Previously stopped eating at Pick Thai because I found a caterpillar in my Pra Ram Tofu on the broccoli. Once my favorite Thai place, I was excited to see that they had new management and were willing to give them a chance. Everything was cool until I found another caterpillar in my broccoli. I garden, so I know that this type of bug is commonly found on broccoli while growing. The unfortunate part is that this is really a sign of routinely poor cleaning practices and questionable food handling. I called to tell them this issue, they said the manager would call me back. There has been no correspondence since. It has been more than 2 weeks. I have been frequenting this location multiple times a month for the past 3 years at this point. I used to love this restaurant and now I can no longer recommend or patronize this establishment. A shame in food quality and service. Buyer beware.

$11 Moo Yang (Grilled Pork) More garnish than meat!
L L.

TL;DR: Seems like every time I visit, the portion sizes get smaller and smaller, but the prices don't! I've only ever ordered take-out on several occasions & each time I question the portion sizes. Typically, I order the crab fried rice & the portion size, especially for the crabmeat, keeps getting smaller & smaller. It, however, is always flavorful & tasty. Today, I opted for the basil fried rice, which was also very flavorful. I decided to pair it with the Moo Yang (Grilled Pork). After picking up my order & running an errand before returning home, I was highly disappointed in the portion size of the Moo Yang. At $11, I was expecting at least 2-3 full sized pork chops or the deboned equivalent. Instead, I got what looked like one shredded pork chop, if I'm being generous. The garnished that was added at the bottom to give the appearance of plentiful accounted for more than than the meat. I know food prices are high, but I felt robbed. The saving grace is that the pork had good taste & I didn't regret venturing out to try a new menu item. I'm at a crossroads with whether I'll continue to return in light of my concerns regarding diminishing portion sizes.

There have been many content creators sharing videos of their experiences on Instagram so after 2…read moreyears, I'm giving it a try! And I was pleasantly surprised. Here are some things I tried and loved: - Steamed dumplings: they are petite and meaty. Great flavor and perfect for sharing with another person or eating alone. (I believe you get 5 on a plate) - Ka Prow (Thai Basil): This is my typical go-to and a staple dish for Thai restaurants. I like that their version isn't too spicy but it does have a nice kick. They also add in many big cut veggies to complement the protein chosen. My only minor gripe is I could use a little more rice. - Crispy Beef: This dish is still good! It does lean a bit sweet but good. - Spicy Tilapia Mango Sauce: This dish took me by surprise. I was not excited about having tilapia but I was interested in the spicy and sweet contrast of this dish! When it arrived, it was a good size piece of fish which I didn't expect. The only thing that was odd for me was the cashews. Next time I will ask them not to add that. In short, I had a much better time dining here over the last year. And if you are looking for a nice quiet lunch spot for friends, the service is good, restuarant is spacious, and food is good. What more could you need!

We ordered the fried rice with chicken and shrimp added and the crispy honey shrimp that was accompanied with white rice. The food was delicious!!! We ordered a Sprite. The restaurant was pretty empty as it was close to closing time and our waiter served us pretty efficiently. He was friendly and knowledgeable. My only feedback would be that the wait staff should not be allowed to use the "front of the house" as their break room. There were about 5 staff members sitting and standing around talking and laughing very loudly. My waiter sat on his phone in a booth diagonally across from us during our meal. Again, it was close to closing time but it might be best to wait until the last patron has departed before letting loose.

Which is wild, because I know I've taken a bunch of food pics here that I've never posted... complete waste lol. We walked in and were seated immediately and ended up getting the second-to-last available booth. Most of the room was couples on lunch dates, plus a group of friends, and later a party of about 7 took over one of the tables. Noise level was mostly moderate, with a quick sprinkle of loud when that bigger group got going, but nothing crazy, still totally fine for a date or a relaxed lunch. My wife ordered the A2 (slices of eye of round steak, well-done flank, and soft tendon). I got the A6 (eye of round steak and soft tendon). The pho was good, the broth had a lot of flavor. I did order extra noodles because while I like the pho here, the portions are a little smaller compared to some other spots we go to. I loaded mine up with bean sprouts, tore up some basil, and let the jalapeños sit in the bowl for a bit for heat. Lately though, I've been more about the chili oil, which they'll bring out if you ask. We also got shrimp summer rolls, which are always a go-to for me when eating pho anywhere. These were fresh, great texture, and the basil really pops. The peanut sauce is one of the best parts. Honestly, I could come here just for the summer rolls and that sauce. I also grabbed a taro smoothie, lightly sweet and creamy, solid choice. Food came out fast, maybe 8 minutes after ordering. Service here is consistently good. The staff is friendly, not pushy at all, and they actually check in on you without hovering. You can always get someone's attention if you need something. They even let a couple move from a table to a booth once one opened up, which I thought was a nice touch. The place itself is very clean, the tables and floors are always well kept. I don't really remember music, but there was a TV on playing college basketball. Overall vibe is relaxed. Parking can be a little tight since it's tucked behind a Rita's and the layout is kind of awkward, but even when it's full you're not walking far, just a compact lot. Price-wise, our total was about $40, but that included an extra summer roll and an extra smoothie. Without the extras, it would've been under $30. My only real critique is portion size for the price, specifically with the pho. It's not a deal breaker, but it's why this isn't my go-to spot when I'm really hungry. I'm a big guy with a big appetite -- my wife would be fine eating here any day of the week. Would I come back? Yeah. The food is good and the service is solid. For me, this is more of a quick lunch spot or a stop when I'm on the move, rather than a full dinner destination. Consistent, reliable, and never a bad choice, just depends on how hungry you are.

This is one of the most extensive menus I've seen at a Vietnamese restaurant. There is the option of ordering vegetable broth, which I did, and was delicious. - Price. For the portions and quality of the food, good value for money. I ordered a large pho. That in combination with my summer rolls was enough to get me full and not stuffed. - Service. Because there was a small group of us, we asked they provide us separate checks, which they did. They did a good job of keeping track of our orders and our final tabs were accurate. We did not wait a long time for our food, as well. The only thing that took longer than the pho was the crepe that my friend ordered, but it wasn't too long. My group took a while to order, because we were chatty. We also stuck around for some time after finishing our meals. Their staff was great in checking in on us and refilling our water afterwards. For me, the mark of good service is when they continue to check in on your even after paying your tab. - Layout. It's a small restaurant, but there are booths and tables. There's also a good size parking lot in the plaza. What's Not - Layout. Their layout does not appear to accommodate groups more than 6 people. I also want to note I got the soup to go. The first thing I noticed were the sprouts were minimal and wet. Do not like wet "soggy" sprouts. Of course the first thing I tasted was the broth. Meh. The eye round was tough. Brisket was acceptable. Fair amount of noodles. But the longer the eye round sat in the broth the tougher it became. My advice to this new establishment is you need to make sure everything is on point, especially since your new. Too much competition out there now to be serving food that is subpar.
