I am giving four stars simply because with the prices tripled, they could stand to clean/fix up this place. The food is the best in..... well every Chinese carry out I have been to like ever. Just the other day I had chicken and broccoli in garlic sauce. Thought I would eat half that night and half for lunch the next day. Lunch never came. Service is horrible, went in to pick up my carryout order and the lady behind the counter literally ignored me for a few minutes while looking at her cell phone, even though she knew I was there. She then answered the phone and took and order for another customer, and then acknowledged me, as if I was bothering her. The place is dirty, floors, unfinished walls, etc. There was a sign on the door that masks were required to enter, though not a single worker had on a mask. Had I not ordered for a group, I would have walked out. Fried rice was just that fried rice, with a few shrimp, or a little pork tossed on top, which had raw onions in it. Triple delight, was cornstarch soup, with literally one shrimp, a little beef, a little chicken and vegetables soft and soggy that would be more expected from my Southern Grandma. This place used to be good, but the service and food is now horrible. They built a covid friendly delivery system to customers with a big tupperware box to push your food through, while the people making and serving their food were unmasked. Very dirty, the walls, the floor, even the ceiling fan was caked with dirt and dust. Even the front door and glass were filthy. The health department needs to pay them a visit. I went here for a quick bite. I got a filet of fish sub and french fries, along with a drink. It was your typical carry-out food. It tasted pretty good and did what it was supposed to do and that was fill me up. The food was prepared quickly and as I requested. It came out piping hot which was awesome. I would have given 5-stars but the girl behind the counter the day I went acted as if she did not want to be there. I recommend Beijing Restaurant. The subs are good as well as their fried wings and standard Chinese food! This location in no way has wonderful ambiance, it is simple no frills carryout! There are tables for waiting for your food, or you can sit and eat if you choose! Most people choose to get their food to go!! On Friday nights, this joint is jumping! Order your food over the phone and early in order to get in and get out! They usually have one person taking orders and doing the transactions for pick up! Don't let looks deceive you ... the food is very good considering the place appears to have the original paintings and walls from the construction of the location probably 50+ years ago. The staff are always polite, food cooked fresh and quick, and parking easy. Ever since we have been living in Bowie this is the only carryout I will eat from. The service is good and so are the food and prices. The food is always hot and delicious and seasoned well. Not to mention I love the reusable tupper ware they serve your food in. Try this place for a late night meal. We are new in the area. We were looking for a Chinese food restaurant because we love Chinese food. This restaurant was a big disappointment. We ordered shrimp toast. They were shrimp toast samples and burned. Shrimp toast is already a small snack. The ones we received were half of the size.... and burned. We also ordered Singapore rice noodles. No seasoning. We ordered Moo Shu shrimp and Shrimp Fried rice. I don't think I have ever seen a smaller Chinese food serving.... Ever !!! We had to pick the shrimp out to enjoy the dishes. The shrimp were mushy salad shrimp. This was echoed in all of our shrimp dishes. We struggled not to just toss the entire order. We ultimately struggled through it as much as we could then gave up and ordered Mission BBQ. Had that the next day for lunch instead of our original plan to have left over Chinese. read more

I've been going to Beijing for many years. It's your standard Chinese takeout place. There are a few chairs and tables if you want to sit and eat -people sometimes do that. The lady is very friendly but she gets very busy at times. She's the only one operating the front counter. The food is very good. I've ordered the mixed vegetables with shrimp many times. General tso chicken is good. I've had orange chicken and moo goo gai pan, both are good. A lot of people order the wings. Ive never had that. The spare ribs are okay. I've never had anything bad in this restaurant. I have been going for 8 years. The only thing I find that needs an adjustment is their cleanliness. I don't think they spend enough time on that. Shrimp in the lo mein were crumbly texture indicating they were not fresh. The shredded beef dry sauteed human style was the worst version of the dish I have ever had; thickly battered, soggy beef (could barely find the beef within) smothered in a ton of onions. Most of the reviews are people that visit and don't live in the area. I ate here very often for years until I started to notice the lack of proper food handling. I watched the woman at the front kill a fly and handle food right after. I ordered normally curry chicken, beef and broccoli and shrimp fried rice. I got sick off of the shrimp upon investigation there were still veins in some on them (reading the reviews, this seems to be common with all their shrimp). So first I stopped ordering the shrimp. Then I got the chicken and it looked so weird i couldn't eat it. Not like chicken at all. The beef was so rubbery and had so much fat I spit it out. This place has gone down hill. The fried rice that comes with the combo platters actually has a decent amount of BBQ pork bits, sprouts, and other veggies in there - it's not your standard "white rice with a bit of soy sauce" that you usually get from takeout Chinese places. All in all, they've been very quick, convenient, and tasty place to grab a meal when I'm just not in the mood to cook.
