Akira Ramen in Gambrills is our convenient Ramen spot. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The location is small but I've never been and it was super packed.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]This location is clean, service is fine, and food is decent.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I've definitely had better Ramen, but I look at Akira as the basics of Ramen. I like the beef and pork belly ramen. The shredded beef has a sweetness to it with texture is unique. I always get the spicy paste on the side to add a little more flavor. The appetizers are okay, nothing to rave about. The Crab dumpling is my least favorite so far. The Bruce Roll is pretty good. It's light and fresh.

I absolutely love Akira. Whenever I want Ramen, Akira is my go to. Food is always fresh and hot. The service is Top Tier and I even have a favorite table. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I love the decor with the Japanese Cherry Blossoms.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]..... [[HIGHLIGHT]]it just feels like home![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

The menu has a nice variety and its easy to find something whether you're craving something classic or a little more adventurous. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere is casual and welcoming with a modern asian vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The staff were wonderful and very accommodating, friendly and had our food out quickly. The ramen is a rich and delicous treat especially on a cold day. While it's not the most mind-blowing ramen I've ever had, it's consistently good and definitely worth coming back for when you want a decent ramen fix.

The food was delicious and this was my first time eating here. My cousins suggested we go but unfortunately I couldn't get a picture of their food as they started in as soon as the waitress sat it on the table lol. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Service was quick and the restaurant was decorated very simple to not over shadow the food.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

This place is my go-to ramem spot. I come here at least once a month. The ramen is always rich, flavorful, and super comforting, and the service is consistently warm and welcoming. Easily one of my favorite ramen places to eat!

This was my first trip here after hearing many good things! I met up with an old friend and had a great time at Amira with quick, polite service and yummy food! I can't remember which bowl I got, but it was packed with quality ingredients as you can see in the photo. Highly recommend!

I have been meaning to try Akira Ramen for so long now after passing it for years, [[HIGHLIGHT]]its a small restaurant me and my guest had a cute booth by the window[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] , edamame, a grilled shrimp skewer the shrimp were perfectly grilled and delicious, the ramen we chose to share was the beef ramen and switched the pork broth for chicken broth we also ordered extra noodles , all the dishes came out quicky and were piping hot , i love the ramen here .

This ramen joint had a great variety of ramen soups to choose from, as well as rice bowls and sushi. Decor is spacious and clean. Our waitstaff was very patient and helpful (especially in answering questions about the menu). I ordered the vegetable ramen, perfect choice for a cold day. Soup base had good flavor, noodles were plentiful and perfectly cooked. The toppings included generous amounts of blanched bok choy, marinated shiitake, wood ear mushroom, bean sprouts, red ginger, corn and silken tofu cubes (plus 1 nori square). Even better is that the menu will let the diner know what type of broth (pork, chicken, ect) is being used for the dish. The vegetable ramen used a plant-based broth which we appreciated.

Came to Akira for ramen and enjoyed the shrimp tempura ramen I ordered. I got it with veggie broth and had them make it spicy, so I really enjoyed it. They don't serve alcohol by the way, but they allow you to bring in your own drink, which is very interesting. The service and my overall experience was good, so I'll stop by again whenever I'm craving ramen.

I have visitors in town and we were all craving some Ramen so of course I hit my favorite source, yelp. Found this spot and we immediately headed out. It's in a large shopping area so there's all the stores that you and we didn't have any issue finding a parking space. We arrived on a Saturday evening, Labor Day weekend and were immediately seated. Everything we had was yummy. Flavor was great. Portion sizes good. Service was excellent. Everyone loved their dishes and I would highly recommend indefinitely go back.

This location is byob only but has amazing friendly service. Other locations are an actual izakaya (a bar). . Akira Ramen & Izakaya is a reliable chain to satiate your ramen or gyudon cravings. Side note, I love spice but: - Volcano ramen is a bit intense - Get the regular Akira, hot sauce on the side - Spice level control is winning. . かんぱい!

Food was delicious and the service was phenomenal! We ordered the tonkatsu ramen, Kani salad, fried tempura, and ofcourse California rolls for the kids. Everything came out on a timely manner. Our server B, was fantastic. She definitely has great customer service skills. We will definitely be back!

    Volcano Ramen: delicious!

The chicken and pork ramen are pretty good for a chain ramen spot. The chicken is fried so not very traditional but still delicious.

The place itself is in a shopping center with ample free parking. I had the dinner bento box with teriyaki chicken and it was a LOT of food for $19.95! Besides the chicken, there were udon noodles with some broccoli and carrots (yaki udon), 6 bite-sized California rolls, three fried shumai, and about 1/2 breast of teriyaki chicken. Plus a salad and cup of miso. Just want to say, all of the ingredients were fresh and the veggies were crisp-tender, yum. I generally avoid chicken breast dishes because they tend to be too dry. This was borderline for me. Very tasty teriyaki sauce, etc., but the strips of chicken were dry to being almost inedible for me. I'm picky that way ;) My DGD enjoyed her ramen and DD liked the Pink Lady roll. Out the door with tip, just over $57 and that's a bit ouchy for me but we all have leftovers, so it works out to $28 per meal, I guess that's not bad. I would like to try some other menu items, and DD said she wants to take DGD there for lunch sometime. So it seems we will be back.

Overall quite good value. The experience is enjoyable and the food is always good, however, the shellfish can be a little 'fishy' at times. They also have changed the layout a lot over a very short period of time. For instance, closer to opening you could self serve on some of the non-meat items. Now all that remains is the sauce/hot bar and ice cream cooler. The real issue and why I don't give this place a better review is that the server turnover is unreal. We typically go once a month and have never seen or had the same server twice. On our last visit, we ended up with someone who admitted to being brand new who decided to card a grey haired old man (me). I asked for a manager who wasn't much older that our server and they refused on principle because I challenged them; they also ignored my ask for a general or senior manager. You can debate the principle of having your age verified on any number of points, but when someone is clearly multiples older than 21, the principle falls away and the insult to intelligence begins to set in. I emailed the Gmail account associated with their contact form over a week ago and never got a response, which at this point, is my primary complaint and a point for people to take note of should they run across a situation where they try to reach out to leadership. Much like most places, it's luck of the draw and we got a really lousy draw last time, but honestly the service is somewhat lackluster. They have these tablet devices they want you to use, but you have to first have them be enabled by your server and then it's hit or miss as to when they will return to check in (presumably because we can order some things on the tablet, but not incidentals like a fork or a spoon, etc.) YMMV.

I'm glad we visited on a Sunday because Sunday is all day happy hour. They also have tvs around the bar so it's a great place to watch sports. It wasn't a busy crowd when we went so service went quickly. Our bartender was very friendly and helpful. They have great happy hour food and drink deals. Drafts were $2 off and they have a good variety. Also a person that enjoys sour beers, I was pleasantly surprised that they had a sour on tap because a lot if restaurants I go to rarely have sours available on tap. I wish I remembered the name of the sour but it was so good. Foodwise, we ordered the white pizza (which wasn't so white), truffle fries, and Korean BBQ wings. The pizza was very good. I loved the flavor that the hot honey contributed to the pizza. It was served with a side of marinara sauce but the sauce was very acidic and weird tasting so I didn't use it for dipping. The truffle fries were so delicious and perfectly crispy. I loved that garlic aioli that it was served with. My friend and I agreed that we did not enjoy the wings. We didn't care for the flavor and we expressed that to our bartender and she took it off the bill. Overall, I really enjoyed the experience at Libations. I would love to try more of the menu if I'm in the area again.
