Indestructible dog toy. Ha. Ten bucks gone in ten minutes. Is it really that hard to make a dog toy? Your dog toys are stupid petsmart'

After

If I could give 0 stars I would. I took my 8 month old Goldendoodle to get groomed here and they absolutely ruined him. The girl that did the grooming was named Aly and even her own manager agreed it was uneven and told us to go somewhere else. Let alone they told us they'd call before they did any extreme shaving and didn't. I literally cried the second he walked out. Here's a before and after....

This happened a few months ago, but I just received a call asking me about scheduling another appointment and I would hate for someone else to have an experience that I had. So up until about three months ago, I would take my 16 year old, 5 pound yorkie here for usual grooming appointments over the past two years. I've had her for her entire life, and take her to be groomed about four times a year. Every time I've picked her up (whether here or elsewhere) everyone says she was either sweet, easy to handle, etc. BUT, this last time I took her in to be seen by a new groomer because it was the only time I could fit it into my schedule (mistake #1). There were a few reg flags right off the bat. I came in five minutes late and was told they almost canceled my appointment because they need a full three hours. My dog is five pounds. There's no way it takes three hours to trim her hair and give her a bath, so odds are she's in a cage for most of the time she's there. When I picked her up in the past, they usually give me a pamphlet about how her overall status was. This time, I did not receive one and was told they had to hand trim her because she would not hold still and was attacking the trimmers. When I told them this wasn't normal, they told me I should consider getting her groomed by a vet SO SHE DOESNT GET HURT and they would be "ever so willing" to try one more time, but if it happened again we would not be welcomed back. When we got home, she hid under my desk and in the corner for a few days, wouldn't get excited to go for a walk, and tried to nip my boyfriend who she loves to sleep next to (this has never happened with anyone in the whole 16 years I've had her!). Clearly, something happened while she was there. My dog has never had an issue being groomed, and has never behaved in such a way where she was SCARED by everyone, when she is really a very loving dog. Regardless, I won't ever be returning to this store because I would never want my VERY senior dog to experience what I can only think was some sort of abuse, again.

Where is the 0 star button? Do not recommend this place. Negative customer service who just walk away when your asking for help.

I came in here last week to pick up a friend's dogs…read more Let me start by saying this said friend absolutely raves about this place. He literally lives within 400 yards of PetSmart, and brings his dogs in here instead for grooming. After a couple bad experiences at PetSmart with grooming, he found this place instead, and it's worth the drive. As I said, I went to pick up the dogs. I was immediately greeted by the staff when I walked up. They keep the doors locked, and a staff member comes out. Which keeps the dogs from being extra stressed and/or potentially escaping. So I like that. She brought me the dogs and I paid her. I didn't know if/how much the friend usually tipped, so I said I'm skipping that part. Which was fine. He took a cash tip in later. This was also a last minute appointment where they had a cancellation, or the groomer came in on her day off, I can't remember the specifics, and squeezed the dogs in. Which is awesome. This screams customer service, and going the extra mile to me. They let me know one of the dogs had a scratch on his paw when they gave him a bath, so we could keep an eye on it. I asked if it happened there or he had it before going in. Which the answer was before, and I'm pretty sure I know how it happened. But they seemed honest anyway, like if it had happened there, they would have told me. I love how stress-free it is for the dogs to go here for grooming. It's one of those noticeable things. Like, I've seen the dogs visibly agitated after going to PetSmart, and it can take a few hours to get them settled again. When I picked them up here, it was like any other normal day, and they got in the truck with me, and settled instantly. So that's a big deal to both me and my friend. Would I return here? Yes! I don't have dogs, so I'm not going unless it's to deal with my friend's dogs. But between everything he's told me and my own experience with his dogs here, it is an excellent business to support. The staff clearly go out of the way and care about the dogs, and that's kind of everything to me. Review 37 of 2025.

I had occasions when you tell the businesses that you are using a Groupon, their attitude change immensely - I get it, a lot would have been taken away by Groupon. But when I called and mention the Groupon while making the appointment, the lady I talked to was very courteous about it, which to me was already a good sign. As it turned out they have put up a Groupon to attract business for the lady's daughter Siarra to practice grooming. The mother and daughter duo listened to what I wanted and gave recommendation very professionally. My little pup was matted all over place, and I was upset that he would probably have to be spot shaved or shaved entirely. I told them I preferred the spot shave. While I was totally prepared to witness a ridiculous looking pup when I picked him up- they managed to save all that hair by heavily conditioning! I was ever so grateful that they went above and beyond to make this the best dog grooming experience I have ever had. My fur baby looked fabulous. Now I know where to go when he needs another grooming appointment!

Long story short, we've taken our pit to Groovy Grooming twice now…read more The first visit, she came home smelling amazing. Her nails were clipped properly and even sanded down, which we really appreciated. Overall, we were honestly impressed. But about a week later, she started having issues with her ears. We took her to the vet and found out she had a double ear infection. It was especially strange because she is never in water, so it didn't immediately cross our minds that it could be related to grooming. We paid the bill and moved on. About 6 weeks later, we decided to give them another try. Same great first impression, she looked and smelled amazing, nails done perfectly again, but then the same thing happened. Within about a week, her ears were bothering her again, and she ended up with another double ear infection. At that point, it no longer felt like a coincidence. I'm really disappointed because there are things they do well, but I'm concerned that proper precautions may not be taken to protect dogs' ears during grooming, especially around water. This resulted in two infections, two vet visits, and unnecessary discomfort for our dog. I truly wanted to love this place, but this was our experience. Sharing so other pet owners can be aware.
