I just had my elderly dog groomed there yesterday. he has a bad heart murmur & unbeknownst to me they charged me $20 more because of it- do $95 for a 10 lb dog. what does that $20 extra cover - your liability??? Why is that - does cover you legally if I sued you?! I could guarantee it would cost you way more than $20 in that circumstance. Not only that, but they ruined his muzzle part of his hair cut. I can tell you it was the very 1st & last time I get him groomed there. You cut his muzzle uneven & so short it cannot be fixed. I didn't ask for express grooming & I was not informed prior to the appointment of your extra charges for "express grooming" that I did not ask for. I know my dog better than you & he's been at the groomers all his life with my other dog for 3-4 hours at a & is not stressed. read more

0 stars. We've taken our dogs here for 20 years... A grooming appointment with We Suds 'Em ended up costing our elderly dog her life. Turns out, the management changed via 2024 so as did the service. Leah (the groomer) compounded with the new owner (Jake who managed food services at concerts and events who bought Suds 'Em Yourself in 2024 and piggy-backed off of the reliable clientele of 30-40 years), neglected elder dog to the point of... traumatization and her ultimate death. The whole experience has left the family traumatized, and what's worse is how we've been treated by the business since then. She came home after a groom with Leah, and Leah had a guilty look on her face. We took our dog to VCA Westmoreland after noticing she was having trouble breathing and eating. Upon inspection of her neck area, she had suffered extreme bruising and inflammation around the neck, which the veterinary doctor confirmed be a noose. Then we remembered our dog had just been groomed by Suds 'Em a week before. Groomers often use nooses during the appointments. When my parents reached out to the owner, Jake, and the groomer, Leah, they denied all accountability of anything occurring and admitted they checked the video, but admitted they DID NOT have video footage of the cot area-- only the grooming tables. Leah and Jake went on to accuse our dog of giving a staff member Ring Worm. When the business relayed this information the first time when they accused our dog of Ring Worm, we immediately took her to the vet and she tested negative. We have the paperwork and documentation to prove it. So instead of showing any empathy for the situation, Leah and Jake came back with accusing our dog (as a red herring) of spreading Ring Worm, and then went on to deny any accountability of an obvious form of our elderly dog being neglected. The vet said it was likely she suffered neck trauma from a noose used by We Suds 'Em. They went on to both say that our dog should not have been groomed in the first place. Flipping it on us was a despicable move and obviously shows they don't care about the clients or dogs. The phone calls with Leah and Jake were uncomfortable for my parents, because they were brash, lacking empathy and were trying to "flip the script." We're seeking answers. We did not get answers. Neither from Leah or Jake (the new owner). We're not looking for financial reimbursement or anything. We took our dog to Westmoreland VCA and they informed us she died because of a compound injury with a noose around her throat at We Suds 'Em. BOTTOM LINE: They don't know how to accommodate or manage senior dogs. She died today, and the vets at VCA Westmoreland Animal Hospital have called Suds 'Em '"inexcusable." According to the doctor, her death was compounded by the injuries that had taken place at this business. I called them out on Facebook. I've been since "blocked" on Facebook. We're heartbroken and saddened. This is an unprofessional business as of late. Do not take your pet here. These people don't care about your pet. For legal reasons, Jake (the new owner) won't claim accountability that anything occurred. But Suds Em has offered no apology, claims there is no video of the entire area... and our dog is dead with veterinary claim that physical harm came from a noose from Suds Em. I will be making sure more negative reviews flood online to warn about their mishandling and negligence of our beloved dog. read more

This place was fantastic. Made a road-trip for San Diego all the way to Eugene, and we had a smelly truck and dog to prove it. Suds 'Em Yourself is reasonably priced, and the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. For as much as a bath can be, Olaf enjoyed himself. I actually think he was feeling himself when we left... head was a little higher, and more spunk in his step. He was steppin' out and ready to bag some bitches. After 30 years of the most welcoming and wonderful owners with a five star approach to their customers, everything has changed with the new ownership. My first and last experience was with a staff that was impudent, rude and disappointing. Given my near 30 years of supporting people that made it so easy to do, it is had to see the negative change. The business is a great concept, and change can be a great thing, just not in this case. It is unfortunate to now walk into an unwelcoming, generic and loss of a great ownership concept. Hopefully, the concept that "if it's not broke, don't fix it" will be something the new owner will take to heart. read more

We brought Poundcake, our 8 yo f Olde English Bulldogge for a Mani/pedi. How lucky were we to get a bulldog mom who was able to talk, laugh and share funny dog moments as she competently have Poundcake beautiful toenails! We're going to give PC a bath today at Suds em Yourself. It's clean, I feel me and my dog are safe and in good hands and I really appreciate the quality of the harness that holds her in the tub! Oh my goodness! They are awesome!! I was Very nervous about taking Nana in for a nail trim, she is a rescue and has some triggers, and she's a mastiff/Rottweiler, so she is a big girl. But they reassured me the whole time, so much so that I even bathed her, too! This is a really great place to take your dog and get him or her a nice bath. I have a corgi, so his short legs can be compensated for by the use of a riser in the bathing tub. That helps your back. They provide everything you need, including several types of shampoo conditioners, towels. I love that the water head has scrubby's on it so you can really give your dog a good scratch while scrubbing and rinsing. They also have dryers, which I never use because the loud noise makes my dog really uncomfortable. They will also trim their nails without an appointment so everything got done and I was really pleased. Especially since my dog had just been skunked the night before! read more

The only reason I don't give this awesome place five stars is because the dryers are too weak. I personally on a high pressure dryer by flying peg, and was expecting the same pressure. I have a Labrador, a great Pyrenees, and a Chihuahua that all came for a wash, nail trim, and anal glands this day. I spent the last several years working in the veterinary industry, and I do know how expensive things are. You simply can't beat the prices for a nail trim or anal glands. Even if you buy them all a cart, the price is still unbeatable. My dogs were treated with a gentle, loving hands went on the grooming table to get their nails done. And the groomers were professional and thorough. My dogs did not leave completely dry as the dryers were not very powerful. The washing facilities were easy to use and comfortable. The price is for washing were unbeatable. In the future, I will bring my own shampoo, probably because I'm a shampoo snob but more over because two weeks after the groom, we did my labrador developed his first ever hotspots after itching since his bath. Nobody's fault really I should've just used the products we always used. No bad marks against the facility for that. I definitely will go back, eight out of 10, I do recommend. Double coated dogs should expect low dryer pressure and more time needed than usual. Staff were extremely helpful, outgoing, and friendly. Truly some of the nicest folks I've met in a while. I've been going here for years and I always feel welcomed, cared for and assisted willingly. It is in an an old building that is always, I mean always, spotlessly clean. Not much to look at but run efficiently for best service. It opens at 10 every day of the week. Affordable. The tubs for dogs are kept clean, & are easily used. They put a tray to raise my pug up so it is easier for me to clean him.The owner is on duty weekdays plus. All aprons, soaps, flea soap , conditioners, cotton balls for ears, towels, scrubbers are in abundance. If you don't, see a tool that will make you or your dog more comfortable, just ask. The best. Just the best. Someone is always nearby to assist with anything you need including toenail cutting for a small extra, setting you up to groom your own dog, or grabbing you extra towels. Brought my dog here regularly for our 14 years together, and it was always a treat getting her suds'd up in the warm water and ending up with such a clean, happy, frisky dog. The owners are always around, friendly and helpful, sweet with the dogs and very knowledgeable about medical issues and dogs in general. Everything is provided, a variety of non-toxic shampoos and conditioners, brushes, ear cleaning solution, hairdryers and aprons. They even have treats on hand if your pup needs coaxing through the process! Very affordably priced and exceptional value. Decided to switch to a new dog groomer after seeing some not so great reviews for our previous dog salon. Found this place on Google and Yelp with tons of rave reviews, I couldn't resist trying them out. We scheduled our dog for a "heavy tidy" grooming session on a Sunday. They have awesome working hours that could work for anyone's schedule! The groomer kindly listened to my anxious rambling about my dogs quirks and misc facts to help with the grooming process. She was thorough and really welcoming, something I hadn't experienced at my previous salon. Basically, she made me feel at ease with leaving behind my **light of my life, perfect, sweet angel** dog child in her hands. Our dogs cut was exactly like we wanted and he smelled amazing! She did give a report about how he acted during the grooming session, which I appreciated! The price for a heavy tidy for our pet was $55 (it changes depending on dog size, hair length, etc) and we were really pleased with the price and quality of care. Make sure to leave a tip! They are so helpful! My 74 pound shepsky did not want to take a bath, and the staff were very kind in helping me get him inside the store and to the tub. They gave him treats and made him feel comfortable. I'm so grateful for their patience. The facility has a few baths and they provide you with shampoo (multiple choices, even oatmeal) , conditioner, apron, and towels, also a blow dryer if your dog isn't scared of them like mine. I was a customer of we suds em and suds em yourself for seven years. There were warning signs I chose to ignore because I thought they were kind to my dog. I heard negative feedback from numerous pet owners about this business. The groomers were constantly quitting and said they were very unhappy with how they were treated by the owners. I witnessed the owner, Tricia be condensing and rude to customers. And then there was an incident and I finally saw just how horrible this business is. They were blatantly dishonest and horribly unprofessional. I can't believe I trusted them with my dog. I strongly recommend that you do not bring your pet there. read more

They also do nail trimming and grooming If you have a puppy, it's probably best to bring them after they play and get tired to avoid over stimulation...It's a busy place with lots of noise.
