Store is clean but the staff (except one very tall guy in glasses thank you for being kind ) is unwelcoming and less than helpful. The young woman was especially unwelcoming. she was curt and condescending. Ive never been to this store so I was already nervous and her behavior just made it worse. she made me want to leave. no hospitality to the point the one nice worker was over compensating when he came back out to the front. It's that kind of treatment that makes people shop online. the store is fine, they have decent selection but if they're losing money its because they're hospitality is horrendous. the store is close to where i live and its locally owned (another reason i went there) but I'll be going elsewhere for my pets needs. read more

This place has amphibians, reptiles, spiders, and other interesting specialty pets and their staff are genuinely knowledgeable and friendly. I go there for my frog supplies on a weekly basis and they have everything I needed in a one stop shop. They also have feeders such as crickets of all sizes, worms, etc. I can't rave enough about this place. It's also locally owned and operated -- much better than the big box shops. My husband who is autistic. Went in to get crickets for his 1 gecko. He told me he did say it was for his one gecko. He was told it would be cheaper to buy in bulk so for $30 they sold him 1,000 crickets! At best our baby gecko eats maybe 20 crickets a week. If you do the math at that rate it would take 50 weeks to go through that many crickets! When my husband got home and put them into his container half of them were dead! Now a crickets life span is around 90 days but even with a jelly pod they have never lasted more than a month before dying. They clearly took advantage of my husband and were very dishonest! We have many exotic pets and spend quite a bit for them so now we will take all our business somewhere else. read more

New owners doesn't mean better. I spent about 45 minutes talking with the "fish expert" and received miss information on multiple occasions. This place also does not have good practices when it comes to animal husbandry. During my visit I saw multiple sick and dead fish in systems and multiple fish that are not getting the correct nutrition. I was not impressed and would not recommend this store read more

This place gave me a weird vibe when I first walked in. I had higher hopes for such a large pet store but the dog aisle was full of "natural" shampoos that all had bad chemicals in then and were brands I had never heard of before. The store seemed dirty and disorganized. One person came up to help us and tell us how great one of the shampoos was but all in all we ended up leaving with empty hands and a weird feeling. This is the best pet store in town! I am a reptile owner and I have always been able to find what I'm looking for at Pet Time. When I first got my ball python I had a hard time finding good stores to purchase frozen mice from, and that's when I decided to try here. They also have a lot of reptile supplies that other chain stores don't carry such as isopods, many different types of substrates, tons of tank decor, etc. the employees are always really nice and helpful as well! read more

I will never go back to this store. I've been bullied by the man that owns the place: he tried to guilt me into buying litter from him and I do not react well to that type of aggression. He also lied about how his prices measure up and acted entitled. I handed him my credit card, he read my name and yelled, "Support your local business, Richard!" several times. **** that. Not to mention that the litter I buy is half the price at PetSmart. Yes, HALF. The only positive is that they always have a lot of Call of the Wild dog and cat food and that they are open for a bit on the weekends, but mini-pet mart and zany zoo also stock it so why bother. read more

My favorite pet store to go to. They have the biggest selection on Fish anything from a goldfish to a 3 foot long fish. They have a huge selection on supplies, filters and everything you need. The owner was very helpful in helping me get everything I needed to start off my aquarium. They are a lot cheaper then Petco or Petsmart and they do price match which is great! I've been a rabbit owner for 5 years now and the conditions they're letting their bunnies live in are SO inhumane. Four rabbits living with two guinea pigs, sharing one single litter box, urine on the ground with soiled wood shavings everywhere... Not to mention, there were no hiding areas for either species: only wood shavings and a single box. Please don't buy live animals from this store :( read more

I have visited this store five or six times due to its location but I have vowed to never return. What finally tipped the scale for me is seeing the deplorable conditions in which he housed and kept his chameleons. There were three 4-month old chameleons sharing a 1'x1'x1.5' cage (way too small). One of them was very sick and at the bottom of the cage with its eyes shut the other two appearing under nourished and stressed. He is using a waterfall watering system probably because it takes the least amount of attention but these breed bacteria and are not advisable. The owner prides himself on having the lowest cost, and these chams were priced low, but not the lowest I have seen and it is safe to say they will not survive. His store has a large amount of supplies but the prices are not the lowest that I have found. From reading the other reviews in which people stated the staff is friendly, They must have been speaking of the woman and not the man. When the man is there, which has been the majority of my visits, he is invasive and pressuring, asking where else I have shopped and what all my pets are then proclaiming he will undercut all other stores. He said this right after B-lining to me seconds after I entered the store. I will travel further and pay a little more not to experience these uncomfortable interactions and to not support animal abuse. There is a much better store a mile or so west on the same road next to Lowes. read more

I like this pet store a lot. I like to buy my fish here because they're healthy. I also like to buy my dog food here because the price is lower than other stores I've been to for the same kind of food. The staff are friendly and know a lot about animals. I think the guy who helped me was named Aron. He answered all my questions about maintaining a fish tank. When I asked the staff at Petsmart, they had to keep asking other workers and they still couldn't answer my questions. And they have grooming! They do a really nice job grooming my German shepherd whose hair is super thick. read more

For years I have gone into Pet Time for the odd pet supply when I didn't want to drive across town. The owner always told me that his dog and cat foods were better & cheaper than PetsMart or Petco, but I never believed him. I recently got a new cat from West Coast Dog and Cat Rescue that has a sensitive stomach, and I needed to feed him more natural food. Note: This is DIFFERENT than the previous post about a living social deal at this place. I got the living social deal and used it to buy flea medicine for my kitty. The owner kept harassing me at the counter to go check out other stuff, went on an on about how they were so much cheaper than every other place in town, and tried to push specialty cat food on me. He was trying to wheel and deal me so much I was distracted and walked out without the medicine. I realized it 7 minutes down the road and called them. They said it wasn't there and there was nothing they could do. When I went down to the store to confront them in person they reiterated they never saw it and refused to do anything for me. Granted... my fault for leaving without it. But really? 7 minutes later it's just disappeared? Sounds pretty fishy to me. The owners of this store are super-sweet, and helped me find more natural food and bathing items for our pets. I didn't do a lot of price comparisons around town, but I'm pretty sure they prices were really good. And they will give you enough samples of foods so you can see if your dog or cat will actually eat them for longer than 1 day (which my dog has duped me before into buying bags that all of a sudden aren't acceptable for the second or third meal) read more

Not only is it a one stop shop for my fish but for my dogs also. Talk to the owner if the food you want is not on the shelf and he will order it for you! Pretty standard as pet stores go. Unfortunately, they sell critters like rabbits that should absolutely be adopted or sourced directly from a reputable breeder. They have a variety of monster fish (over 8") in okay conditions. All their fish seemed relatively healthy, but clearly very stressed by their surroundings. "$1 to feed me" on some tanks was pretty upsetting as fish are very sensitive to overfeeding. Can't comment on dog or cat supplies. read more

And yet very clean and organized. The store is easy to find. I have been to a lot of stores looking for the things I need. This store has me needing to go no where else searching.
